I had a title loan with advance finance in XXXX ga. When i was unable to pay the payments they sought out a private individual not associated with me or my business with Advance Finance. Advance finance then lied and claimed i had listed this individual as a credit reference. I have never used this person as a reference. Their claim is fraud. I feel my personal business was exposed with a fraudulent claim in an attempt recover a debt. I adressed these concerns to a man claiming to be the owner of advance finance who told me the federal law does not apply to him. He further claimed that there are state laws that supersede the federal fair debt collection act. I was amazed that a business owner would believe that federal debt collection laws do not apply to a title pawn business. This owner of advance finance then told me he had left a letter in XXXX georgia for me with a person he clained was my mother. I have no contact with my mother nor do i know her whereabouts. This letter supposedly contained personal information regarding my account. I do not have knowledge of any person associated with me currently residing in XXXX georgia. I feel there have been multiple violations of the federal fair debt collection act commited by this compnay
