In XXXX of 2016 I bought my first home and gave my 30 day notice to my landlord at the time. I had a friend help me move out but was not able to take a mattress and a nightstand with me so i figured i would just pay for them to remove the items. They removed the items but claimed the carpet was completely damaged and that they found bedbugs in the apartment so they sent me a final statement with a total of {$2300.00} stating they were not able to rent the apartment for two months. After trying to negotiate they said they were actually able to rent the apartment and removed a months rent so the total amount went down to {$1400.00} I still did not agree with this amount because the carpet was in good condition and i never saw any live bedbugs when i moved out. Now a year later they hired a lawyer and the total amount they are asking for is {$6700.00} including attorney fees. They claim they pay a company to do a treatment for the bedbugs but they paperwork does n't show this. Also they showed me an invoice for the carpet replacement but did n't show me proof of the " damage '' carpet.

Recently, I received a letter demanding an unknown amount of {$3600.00} be paid on an old account that was vacated as paid in 2013 for the same account. This letter provides false information as a threat to issue a judgement.
Under law a matter can not receive a double judgement for the same account. This would create multiple judgments for the same account known as Res Judicata. My consumer rights have been falsified with improper information and unnecessary threats to harm my credit. I request a complete investigation into this matter.
