I have received the first phone call on XX/XX/XXXX, no voicemail was left, but when I tried to answer no one spoke and the call was ended, by the party calling. on XX/XX/XXXX, I received another call with the exact same thing. I answered no one was there and the call was ended, again by the other party. I called back and a total of 3 times the first two calls I literally could not understand the company they were with as they intentionally rattled it off so fast I could not understand them. No this was not a mistake as it happened 3 out of the 4 times I called. The first person I spoke with said they were trying to reach XXXX XXXX ; I asked if this was an attempt to collect a debt was written notification sent to them. The lady said yes, it was and asked if this was XXXX XXXX. I said I do not verify information, and not to call back. They did not acknowledge I said not to call back they said if they cant verify who they were speaking to they were ending the call. I called back immanently, again could not understand what was being said when they answered the phone. I told them I am XXXX XXXX, they my address, I said I do not verify information, I have not received written notice of an attempt to collect a debt which is a violation of FDCPA of 1977, They were to inform the original creditor, and not to contact me again. I ended the call, but realized I forgot to have them Clearly state the name of the company, as well at get their address, fax, and any other pertinent information. I called the 3rd time, again could not understand what company they were with. The person asked me if I was calling in about my account. I informed them I do not have an account with them, I just wanted basic information. I informed them I was going to turn them in to the CFPB. I was put on hold for about a minute. Then they finally came back on the line and gave me the address. I had to ask for the 3rd time at this point the name of the company. During any of these calls no disclosures were given ; I was not told this was an attempt to collect a debt, collection efforts would continue, etc. I called a 4th time to collect information for this complaint. I spoke to XXXX XXXX, He said he would not give me any information about this until I verified who I was, but proceed to tell me I was incorrect out violating the FDCPA, because a letter was sent XX/XX/XXXX. So, not only did they violate it be failing to send me written communication and allow for me to receive it, and he disclosed to me a letter was sent without verifying who I was. Additionally, he told me he couldnt hear me then said I was yelling at him. He also kept talking over me and when I asked him to spell his name, he refused. Because of both of those things I asked to speak to his supervisor. I explained what he had done and she literally said what do you want me to do about it. Furthermore, I should not have an account with any collection agency as XXXX XXXX owes me {$140.00} and I have attorney representation, additionally if I have any balance with XXXX then the amount they owe me should be used for any outstanding balance. If this is for XXXX XXXX ; I had just a COVID test ( and a COVID test only ) on XX/XX/XXXX, to which they were attempting to charge me {$250.00} for an out patient procedure, that I spend a majority of it in my car. My other attorney sent them correspondence stating that a COVID test does not cost {$250.00}, and I should not be charged for an outpatient procedure as I clearly stated I was not seeing medical assistance just the test and I was in their facility to just check in, and then receive my results. But I was not notified until one year and one day after the test, to which my insurance had changed, so nothing else could be processed. I am not paying them because they waited a year to send me a bill, which is there mistake.

First Collection Services continues to blatantly report an inaccurate, unverifiable entry on my credit reports. The entry on my reports reflect that First Collection reported this entry to my reports on XX/XX/2020, yet they did not provide any communication to me prior to inserting on my credit reports. No dunning letter was received from this company. I have never did any business with this company, nor have I ever heard of the company. I have requested on numerous occasions that this company provide the comprehensive account history for this account ; including but not limited to all invoices, payments, notices, documents that bore my original signature and also any documentation that reflects I allegedly agreed to levelized billing with the XXXX XXXX XXXX. The FCRA provides that utility companies may only provide or furnish information to the credit bureaus if they provided a consumer credit. I also requested the aforementioned request to be honored so that I may ensure the accuracy within the content of the information they were reporting -- no itemized statements nor details to justify the entire amount. Additionally, by them not responding, they did not validate when the account became delinquent? Providing this would prove if the statute of limitations was applicable and their ability to collect on an alleged debt. Once I became aware of this negative entry on my credit report, I immediately began disputing. My first disputes were with each of the credit bureaus and the responses provided from each bureau reflected that the entry was verified by First Collection Services. To that end, I sent a letter to them ( see attached ). To date, this company has not provided any documentation bearing my signature or proving the validity of the entry they are continuing to report. First Collection Services is unable to provide any documentation because the original creditor received full payment in 2020 for this debt, they are attempting to collect and also placed on my credit reports illegally. First Collection Services is unable to furnish the original terms and conditions agreed to as well as any and all terms and conditions that were enforced after the original terms as per the alleged original creditor, XXXX XXXX. Being this is an alleged utility account, Additionally, they did not respond with a summary of all account activities, including all payments made, late charges, interest, date of payments received, date of payment posted, charges made, and date of charges posted. In my correspondence to them I requested copies of all documents sent to me regarding this account ; again they did not oblige. Lastly, they did not prove the statute of limitations had not expired on this alleged debt. It is obvious that First Collection Services is not able to validate their allegation with documentation ; therefore, in the absence of them responding with any documentation to substantiate the alleged debt with signatures, and the mere fact that they have not responded to my previous disputes, I am requesting they cease collection efforts, which continue to diminish my creditworthiness and return this account to the original creditor who has been paid in full for this debt. Additionally, this entry must be removed from my credit reports immediately.

First Collection Services continues to blatantly report inaccurate, unverifiable entry ( s ) on my credit report ( see attached ). The alleged entries reflect the original creditor is XXXX XXXX XXXX. The entry on my reports reflect that First Collection reported this entry in XX/XX/2020 on my credit report, yet they did not provide any communication to me. No dunning letter was received from this company. I have never did any business with this company, nor have I ever heard of the company. I have attempted on numerous occasions to gain clarity and insight on these erroneous entries. My first disputes were with each of the credit bureaus and the responses provided from each bureau reflected that the entry was verified by First Collection. How so, if a third party collection company may only validate an entry. Only an original creditor may verify and since they are not the original creditor, the mere practice of the them verifying to the credit bureaus in inaccurate and very misleading. To that end, I sent a certified letter to this company. The tracking of this receipt reflects that they did indeed receive the dispute nor was the mail returned. To date, this company has not responded to my dispute of the validity of the entry they are continuing to negligently report. In my first dispute letter to them, I requested : An agreement that states their authority to collect on this alleged debt ; Agreement with signature of the alleged debtor wherein he/she agreed to pay the creditor, Alleged account number, Date this alleged debt became payable Original delinquency date, Verification that this debt was assigned or sold to collector Complete accounting of alleged debt, and Name and address of the bonding agent for collection agency in case legal action becomes necessary. THEY DID NOT RESPOND. In my second request, given I never received any notification from them with regard to the first dispute, I requested they provide a copy of the financial responsibility page, provide a copy of my signature with the alleged provider of service to release my medical information to them and cease any credit bureau reporting until the debt had been validated by me. They DID NOT. Consumer law provides that the creditor is expected to respond to your claim within 30 to 45 days and to inform you of the results of its investigation within five business days. Prior to reporting any alleged medical entry the XXXX provides a collection company must wait 6 months. First Collection Services has not provided any documentation to prove that they waited a full six months prior to inserting this entry on my report. It is obvious that First Collection Services has no intent to honor the law nor respond to my previous disputes ; therefore, in the absence of them not responding with any documentation to validate the alleged debt, they must cease collections, return this debt to the original owner since they are attempting to collect on behalf of another company, and remove this entry from my credit report immediately. First Collection Services are diminishing my creditworthiness with their negligent reporting of this inaccurate, unverifiable, erroneous entry.

I recently pulled my credit reports in preparation for going through the process of a XXXX XXXX background clearance with a military special operations unit. On XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX I found a collections account dated XX/XX/2018 for a debt I do not own, and have no knowledge of. It is a rather small amount, but since it is not mine, I am unwilling to pay it out of principal. I disputed the report with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX directly. The collections company responded to the disputes back to the Bureaus that it was my debt. I also sent collections company a certified letter directly to their mailing address, signature required, requesting they validate the debt within the time require by law ; the collection agency did not respond to me, or validate the debt. They have recently reported to the credit bureaus, " Account information disputed by consumer, meets FCRA requirements. '' My name is a common one and there are several individuals in this state, and indeed in my very town, that have had problems and are in many court records for debts. The collections company claims I owe a utility bill. However, I was overseas, and did not have any utilities in the state for several years. Further, when I was in the state our utilities were in my spouse 's name, then in a tenants name the entire period we were overseas, then again in my spouse 's name upon our return -- never mine. I have no contracts with the company the collections company claims I owe, and never used my name to open any. I even sent a letter to the utility company in-question asking for them to validate the debt ; they have not responded either. The fact that neither company has attempted to contact me personally, when they should have the very address I live at and supposedly had an account for, is irony at its best. The fact they won't return my requests, is contemptuous and a flagrant disregard for the law. Please note I can provide copies of my passport that clearly shows I have been out of the country for many years, and only recently returned to the United States on a part time basis. I have no problem paying for a debt I owe ; I do not owe this debt. I am very much opposed to tactics like this, and how companies can get away with it. Further, this has a direct impact on my XXXX XXXX. In many cases, the expeditious thing would be to pay it. Morally, I can not do that. Thus, for that reason, I will pursue this aggressively. The agency is : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, AR XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX

We moved from our apartment in XX/XX/2014, we transfer all of our utility and was told by the companies that we were paid up on everything. Apparently we were not-We are in the process of trying to buy our home and we pulled out credit a few months prior today. We found a collection on our credit report from XXXX XXXX XXXX. They placed a collection on our credit in XX/XX/2014 for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. This was a very surprising. We have never heard of this company, nor received paperwork from them or the electric company. I called and set up payment arrangements with them to take care of the balance, we were under the impression that the account would be removed from our credit report. But the company did not do that-we found out that they re-aged the account to reflect the payments, which made it look like it was a new account on our credit report. My wife tried to call them and she got two different answers from a collector and the supervisor. She was first told that they ( the collection company ) is not reporting the item and they we need to call the original creditor to get it remove. Then the supervisor stated that they report the payments on the credit and will update as need. We told them that we never received paperwork from their company and we were the ones that contacted them- Both the collector and the supervisor didn't have our correct address and we had to correct them twice. The supervisor stated that the company didn't get any returned mail so they are going to keep it on the credit. This is not right-I didn't know that I could dispute this debt, or have the right to talk to the original creditor. I still don't have a clue what months I was charged for-I didn't even get a chance to pay it and keep it off my credit report ( the supervisor stated that if the account was in there office over 60 days then they report to the credit companies ) When I paid the bill, I was not advised of any of these rights or that paying this account would re-age this account and lower it 25 points.

I have spoke to Both the original company and debt collections agency no less that 15 times and gotten nowhere. I had a balance with XXXX utilities. An account reported to my credit by FCS XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, AR XXXX. I spoke with XXXX numerous times. During those calls they had stated to me that they had recalled and withdrawn FCS, and the account from the collection agency ( FCS ) I paid my balance to XXXX. I had zero dealing with FCS prior to this conversation about this account. FCS had reported to my credit bureau that I owed them the money. I did not. Once the account was withdrawn from them they refused to remove themselves from any involvement. Once I paid XXXX ( whom I owed the money to not FCS at that point. FCS continued to falsely report a collection that I owed them per my credit profile, when it was already paid. They then updated this same collection to read as if I paid them to a XXXX balance. They did not collect it, it was withdrawn from them yet they are still on my credit as a collection company responsible to/or have been to collect monies. I just spoke to them on the phone and they stated that " This is an attempt to collect a debt '' I have no dealings with this company. XXXX has stated multiple times that because I worked with them and not FCS that they would no longer be able to report ANYTHING to my credit and that I do not have a collection with them any longer because it was recalled. I want them to delete it off my credit bureau 's as myself and XXXX has requested. This company who also is using the name ICS Is falsely representing themselves as responsible for, money owed to, or paid to collection agency when none of that is true. The last call I had with them moments before filing this is " that they don't report to the credit agency 's, they as in FCS can't do anything because its up the credit bureaus '' which is a blatant lie because ( its reported on my credit by them ) Thank you XXXX XXXX

I received services from a XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. We reached an agreement on XX/XX/XXXX to pay {$950.00} to satisfy the debt. XX/XX/XXXX the debt was paid. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a collection notice from First Collection Services saying I owed the debt. I reached back out to the company on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX billing, and confirmed with the company the debt had been settled and the balance is {$0.00}. They sent me a receipt/invoice showing the debt had been paid and that the collection agency would be notified. I spoke with First Collection Service. I had called and spoke with the company several times regarding the debt being paid, who i spoke with, and that the original debtor would be reaching out. I was told by XXXX that it did not matter what the receipt said that the debt was still owed and she would send me the invoices. XX/XX/XXXX they mailed to me letters stating the debt was owed even though I sent them all the information and the original debtor stated they would reach out to their agency. I have this information in emails if needed. I am asking for assistance on helping resolve this issue or guidance or communication from the collection agency as to why I have presented receipts showing the debt is paid, gave them the information of who I spoke with, and that the agency would reach out to them. The collection agency is First Collection Agency XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, AZ XXXX. Again, I am happy to provide all correspondence I have in emails with the collection agency and the original debtor including the notification the debt was paid in XXXX of XXXX. Note that is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX almost a year ago. I have also reached back out to the original creditor again for assistance. Let me know if you need all the correspondence from emails, receipts showing paid, an itemized statement from the original debtor showing the account paid and the correspondence from the collection agency continuing to state the debt is owed.

I sold my house in XXXX XXXX, and paid all the utilities in full. That was almost 2 1/2 years ago. On XXXX XXXX XXXX I was forwarded a collection letter asking for an additional {$180.00}, for which I had no clue who the creditor was or why. The collection letter was dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX, but sent to a very old address, and somehow, almost 3 weeks later, I received the collection letter. I asked the collection co to the details of the bill ( aka validation of the debt ), and gave them my correct address. On or about XXXX XXXX XXXX, I received a statement, and although I did n't believe the debt was owed, I agreed to pay it, providing that no adverse reporting to the credit bureaus were made. The rep assured me that it had n't, and that they do not report. I asked if I can call back after I verify my reports. I did verify my report a couple of days later, there was no adverse reporting, so I called the collection company to pay the ( disputed ) debt. I was then told that the day after I called to inquire about the debt, which was within a few days of reviewing the validated ( yet disputed ) debt, that they inadvertently reported negative info to the reporting agencies. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. Her name is XXXX. She refused to acknowledge the FCRA, which provides me time to request and review an unknown debt. She insisted on NOT removing the adverse and premature reporting, stating that she is going by the date of collection letter which was XXXX XXXX, which I received XXXX XXXX, and the validation was received XXXX XXXX. She is wrong and violated my rights, and the law. I have since paid the bill, in full, and wrote letters to the credit reporting agencies with copies of the dated letters. The collection company is FIRST COLLECTION SERVICES in Arkansas.

Good morning, I called First Collection Services about paying off a debt. I had a very limited amount of money, so I was trying to see if there was a way to have my debt with this collector reduced, or removed from my credit report. I was advised that I could not get what I was requesting. I was offered to speak with a supervisor if I needed more clarification and to have my questions answered and explained. I was transferred to a Ms. XXXX. I was trying to gather a few questions. The first being her name. She told me Ms. XXXX again. I asked for clarification on if Ms was her actual name, or her title. She then started to get hateful with me and ask me what I needed. I continued to tell her that I need her to verify her name for me. The then said something along the lines of " Since this call is going no where I'm going to disconnect the line '' She did not give me her contact information, her name, or ANY information that could help me pay my debt. The only information I got from her was her name was " Miss XXXX '' I called back and asked to speak with a " Ms. XXXX '' and was transferred directly to her voicemail that gave me her full name XXXX XXXX XXXX. She was verbally abusive, inappropriate, and offered no assistance with paying off my collection. I later called back and Spoke with a XXXX that was able to provide ALL the answers to the questions I asked including her Name. She was wonderful, and I paid my full amount with her help. Date : XX/XX/2020 Amount : {$190.00} Action Taken by XXXX XXXX : Nothing Action Taken by me : I called and spoke with a woman that deserves a raise ( XXXX XXXX and paid off my debt and a reference number

On XX/XX/XXXX I received a Collection Notice from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( " XXXX '' ) alleging I owe {$32.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I responded to XXXX via USPS Certified Mail ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) by sending a Debt Validation Letter. XXXX never responded to my letter ( USPS confirms delivery ). The validation letter disputed the in writing ; the amount of the debt, the creditor to whom the debt is owed, a statement disputing the validity of the entire debt, and a request for the name and address of the original creditor. XXXX failed to respond to the validation request. Now, one year later, XXXX XXXX ( " XXXX '' ) is attempting to collect on the same debt XXXX attempted to collect on. However, XXXX is estopped from collecting on the debt because the debt was never validated by XXXX. Therefore, XXXX is unable to sell, convey or transfer " collectable '' debt when XXXX failed to validate the debt pursuant to a Debt Validation request under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. In an abundance of caution I have sent via USPS certified mail a Debt Validation letter to XXXX. XXXX is collecting on an uncollectible debt- conveyed to XXXX by a company with knowledge the debt is uncollectible and unvalidated. The shell game played by XXXX and XXXX continues to cost me time and postage. Please put a stop to this egregious abuse of the FDCPA. Moreover, I disputed this alleged debt with the original creditor and received no response. The alleged debt was first disputed with the original creditor, again disputed with a debt collector, XXXX, and now a third time with another debt collector, XXXX.

First Collection Service of XXXX XXXX, AR is erroneously reporting that a debt I never incurred to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX was a charge-off, when it was actually paid in full. This debt was never mine in the first place, and I paid it in full anyway because it had the potential to negatively impact my credit. This debt was incurred by a tenant I had at a rental property that didn't pay their gas bill, and the debt was ultimately transferred to me as the erstwhile property owner. I didn't know that the debt even existed until it went into collections, and by that point I hadn't owned that property in XXXX years. The attached copy of court records shows that the property was sold in a foreclosure sheriff 's sale, with a certificate of purchase by the new owner filed with the court on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX years before First Collection Service opened their file on XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX. First Collection Service is refusing to correct the negative " chargeoff '' status of this debt on my credit report, and have also refused to remove the entry from my credit report overall. This debt was paid in XXXX of XXXX, and they reported this erroneous negative information to the credit bureaus in XXXX of XXXX. I've called them and told that their policies don't allow them to make these sorts of corrections. The person I talked to said they would put me in touch with a supervisor, but as of yet, I have not received a call back from one.

There is a paid collection listed on my report from XXXX with XXXX XXXX as the original creditor for {$140.00}. I never sent the payment to the collection agency ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), I paid XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX sent me a letter stating that the account was pulled back from the collection agency by them and that the collection agency can no longer report it. I sent proof of the payment and the letter to XXXX, along with the other two bureaus in the form of a dispute letter. XXXX and XXXX deleted the account. XXXX did not. The FCRA states that information reported must be accurate and complete ; updated and verifiable. It also provides a dispute mechanism initiated by the consumer through the consumer reporting agency and through the furnisher of information. As detailed above, I have disputed the information for the referenced account, with both XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX directly. I have exhausted all recourses provided for resolution of erroneous information and still the information remains on my XXXX consumer report. The FCRA provides a cause of action for an individual consumer as well as penalties and liabilities for both consumer reporting agencies and furnishers of information for non-compliance as violations of its provisions. It is evident that the information reported can not be verifed because the payment was not made to XXXX XXXX XXXX, and therefore must be deleted as required.

On XX/XX/XXXX I recieved a letter from FCS Collection Services in regards to a debt saying I owed XXXX $ to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX myself by phone call on XX/XX/XXXX. I spoke to a XXXX. She confirmed by phone that the equipment I am being charged for was indeed returned and checked in on XX/XX/XXXX. She went on to say that they found after the fact 6 months later that the router I returned was damaged. Therefore they turned me over to collections without even contacting us by mail or phone call first. I explained when I returned the equipment in person at the office in XXXX XXXX, TX that it was checked in and I was told our bill was cleared. In fact in XXXX we received a check back from XXXX XXXX XXXX for over payment. XXXX also did discuss this debt with myself and my wife without giving us a mini miranda and she did confirm phone call was recorded without any knowledge. She did also confirm that the equipment does travel from their office from XXXX XXXX to XXXX which is around 15 miles. We have no clue what happened to the equipment once it left our possession. It was checked in bill was cleared we even received money back and have not heard from XXXX XXXX XXXX since. XXXX did also confirm on phone that they just pushed it straight to collections without trying to bill us or contact us first.

This company only sent me 2 letters of collection. They stated they tried to call me but they did not leave any voice mails. FCS took over my bill from XXXX and XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. They did not tell me I must make {$25.00} a month payments for them NOT to report this an as unpaid collection item on my credit report. I did contact the company in XXXX trying to settle for a lesser amount they would not accept, telling me that was insurance fraud. All this time I made {$20.00} payments each month on or about the XXXX. I have made several attempts to talk to the supervisor XXXX XXXX XXXX, she will not return my calls. My credit score took a 100 point hit. I find there way of business to be shameful. I'm a lender at a bank myself, we do not treat customers this way. Especially when they do try to pay there debts. I have rights under the fair credit reporting act, this was unfair treatment along with unfair reporting. I did tell the company in one call that I could only make the {$20.00} payment due to helping my parents, because they lost some income due to Covid-19. I am a single mom, trying to raise a daughter, pay my bills and help my parents, they should have some leniency through such a difficult financial time as we are facing now.

First Collection Services sent me a collection notice issued : on XX/XX/XXXX. I received the collection notice via USPS on XX/XX/XXXX. I responded to the letter on XX/XX/XXXX. I spoke with an agent who informed me that the collection would not be placed on my credit report as long as my payments stay current. I set up an automatic monthly debit in the amount of {$25.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. The first payment was debited on XX/XX/XXXX. The second payment was debited on XX/XX/XXXX. No payments have been missed The collection showed up on all three credit reports ( XXXX. XXXX and XXXX as an " Open Account '' ( it is not or it would not be in collection status ) I received paperwork from the collection agency that if and only if I fall behind on payments that I have not fallen behind on payments, First Collection Services is reporting erroneous information ( lying ) about the debit and reporting the incorrect amount of the debt owed. This has to be illegal. After viewing my credit report, I contacted First Collection again on XX/XX/XXXX and the agent informed me that I would just have to deal with it and that this is how business is done.

I am writing to address the collection account reported by First Collection Servs on my credit report. It has come to my attention that there is a collection account associated with my name, and I have reason to believe that the accuracy and validity of this account are questionable. Upon reviewing my credit report, I have identified the presence of the collection account in question. However, I have no knowledge or record of any outstanding debt owed to the creditor listed on the account. This discrepancy has raised concerns regarding the accuracy of the information being reported. I hereby request that First Collection Servs conduct a thorough investigation into the validity and accuracy of this collection account. I kindly ask for the provision of supporting documentation and evidence that substantiate the legitimacy of this debt, including the original creditor 's agreement, a detailed account statement, and any other relevant information. It is important for me to ensure the accuracy of my credit report, as it directly impacts my financial standing and opportunities.

A man named XXXX called my company and said he was with XXXX XXXX XXXX and was trying to collect a debt on behalf of XXXX XXXX ( an advertising agency we use ). He said our company owed {$680.00}. After finding that all invoices had been paid and all checks had cleared, I got suspicious and XXXX the phone number. I saw that others had reported it as spam and even mentioned a XXXX calling them. I then XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and called the phone number listed on their website. I was told they do handle XXXX XXXX 's accounts and put me in touch with a representative named XXXX. She said our only balance with XXXX XXXX is {$190.00} and that it is still current. I asked if a XXXX worked for them and she told me there was a XXXX there but she didn't know why he would have contacted me about a past due balance. I do not feel that XXXX XXXX XXXX has done anything wrong, but that someone is using their business name to get credit card information.

I contacted this company several months ago through a XXXX complaint after they reported on my credit report a debt that was unknown to me that I have never previously been contacted about. They never sent me the initial letter stating what it was or how much was owed, or my rights to dispute, etc. I waited months and never heard back from this collection agency until I received a letter in the mail from them today, still not showing any debt or original creditor, but what I need to send in. I have already sent this information to the credit bureaus and they have previously blocked the other collection agency who was reporting this fraudulent account until this company purchased it. I am now fed up with their debt collection practices, I still do n't know what the debt is for, how much, etc. I know it is not mine, because I never resided in XXXX XXXX. I 'm at my wits end with this company, either they remove it or I 'm going to sue them for violation of debt collection practices. You need to investigate this company!

First Collection Services is aware that this alleged debt is the result of identity theft and still asked me to pay on this debt and still attempted to collect as well as report in my credit report. They have investigated this account and have not correspondent with me anymore. I have recently sent a cease and desist along with a notice stating I am disputing the validity of this debt on XX/XX/2021. XXXX XXXX of First Collection Services responded by stating they will no longer communicate except as allowed by law. But the law doesn't define specific communication just that if a consumer asked a debt collector to cease communication they must cease all communication. I also sent over that I am disputing this debt and that I was requesting an audit trail pursuant to federal rule which I did not receive. Because First Collection Services has ignored my right to dispute the validity of this debt I am asking the CFPB to step in and help enforce the law and my right.

I was called multiple times, approximately in XXXX of this year ( 2015 ) by First Collection SVCS. I spoke with representatives, who told me I had an outstanding balance with XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX for {$610.00}. I was unsure of the accuracy of this claim, and advised them to please send me documentation to my address at the time XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX CA. I never received such documentation. They continued to call, and a week later, I mentioned again to please send documentation, yet such paperwork did not arrive at any point. I had the displeasure of seeing on my credit score today XXXX/XXXX/2015, a derogatory mark for the {$610.00}. Because I never received documentation at my current address or address listed on my drivers licence to prove that this company even existed or that my outstanding debt existed, I am submitting this claim. Thank you for taking the time to read my issue and I hope we can work together to get this sorted out.

First collection svcs/ICS account : XXXX, created XX/XX/XXXX, amount {$300.00}, for XXXX XXXX - this account was disputed and deleted ( XXXX XXXX ). First collection svcs/ICS account : XXXX, created XX/XX/XXXX, amount {$300.00}, for XXXX XXXX - this account was disputed but still remains on my credit report ( XXXX, XXXX ). Both accounts are for the same bill, with different account numbers created by the collection company. Also, the account created XX/XX/XXXX was deleted before the XX/XX/XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX was created/reported first ), but not deleted, which does not make sense. The account XXXX should be deleted as well. The collection company is creating false misinformation because their numbers and dates are all mixed up. At the time I received the hospital services, I was 100 % covered under a hospital financial program, which covered all bills incurred. I have attached files from credit report and hospital letter.

I have since received voicemails from the schools Treasury department stating that I do not owe this money. They have since continued to send me increasingly threatening letters attempting to coerce me into paying a debt I don't owe, backed by seemingly active efforts to not answer their phone.

This debt collector engaged in abusive, deceptive, and unfair practices of the FDCPA which it prohibits. I sent them a dispute letter with tracking on XX/XX/2023. They have ignored the letter and apparently refused to sign for it. This is the third dispute letter I've sent about this debt and the third one that's been summarily ignored. They need to desist collection tactics immediately. Among those collection tactics, they called the owner of the company I work for, on her work phone, and told her I owed them money. These people really need to be out of business.
