Follow up to COMPLAINT ID : XXXX My situation started after I reached out to XXXX XXXX who is a mortgage loan broker with Assurloans. He asked for all my required documents after my application was submitted. He received all the required documents within 24 hours of his request. The cash out number was over XXXX on the first loan estimate. XXXX waited a week before he locked the rate. He is supposed to do it within 3 days once the application is submitted & the supporting documents are received. XXXX then said I didn't get my documents in on time which I knew was not true. It was a lie on XXXX 's part. Everything seemed odd on the revised loan estimate. I got around XXXX on the new loan estimate. I wondered where the discrepancy came from. I didn't know until i spoke to the supervisor ( XXXX XXXX ) who confirmed that XXXX waited a week to lock the rate after he received everything that was required for my file. Rates fluctuated upward and it ended up costing me a couple XXXX dollars. Assurloans increased their origination fee on the 2nd loan estimate, I was charged points & the initial lender credit was reduced. My cash out refinance loan wasn't as good as it was initially advertised. I spoke to XXXX, he gave me a XXXX bucks total which did not make me whole. I didn't want to miss out on the rate so I took the deal. I had other lenders who would have given me a better deal if the true rate & fees were advertised. I feel like it was pure deception on XXXX 's part. I tried to get XXXX to make things right. He was honest with me. He told me XXXX waiting to lock the rate costed me XXXX & that his management does not care. XXXX violated multiple laws in relation to the statute 's & guidelines set under the Real Estate Settlement & Procedures Act & the Truth in Lending Act. The loan estimate must be sent within 3 business days. XXXX waited over a week. He did not sent out all of the required disclosures. Assurloans then increased their origination charge & charged points after the initial disclosure. This company should be fined & penalized to the fullest extent of the law. The employee has now been terminated by the company. I have text message confirmation from the owner of the company.
