Back in XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from a person regarding a debt that I owed ( XXXX ) on a charged off credit card. I never received a Company letter Head or any official correspondence in the mail or through E-mail from Improved Data Services, LLC The person on the phone mentioned the name of the bank and card that I owed. I gave them my checking account number with a XXXX withdrawal to be taken monthly. I assumed it would be debited out of my account like most other deductions. but noticed that it was in the form of a cancelled check produced by this company. which I was able to view each month. The person on the phone said that they would e-mail me this agreement. I never received it. After about a year of paying, It was about XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX that I tried to contact this company to request my balance on an official letter head. I went to the improved data services, LLC web site and all that popped up was a web site with a section to email with a question and they would get back to me. I was unable to contact a person to discuss. about 2 or 3 days later I received a call from someone of that company, do not remember name. I asked him that I still have not received official correspondence with my balance and to send me one. He said he would email me this info. That never happened. the 100 payment continued to come out each month. and I think I missed 2 or 3 payments because of insufficient funds which unannounced to me and with out written notification would be found later to be a XXXX fee per missed payment .and with out me knowing would be attached to my remaining debt, back in XX/XX/XXXX I received an official correspondence from a a debt collector called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX . Showing paid to date of XXXX out of the XXXX balance and the current creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX immediately, I spoke to a man named XXXX at XXXX first thing he asked was ho wmuch can I pay. I then proceeded to ask him how he got this info and the amount that I owe, he said that they are handling debt collection for XXXX XXXX. I said I was paying another company currently.I asked him if they received this info from improved data services and he did not no who they were. after I ended the conversation I immediately went to the XXXX XXXX XXXX website and found a legit company with numerous options to pay. after, to be on the safe side I requested a stop on any further deductions to Improved data services from my checking account. After trying to contact someone in the company I left an email on there site, or called. I received a call from a XXXX XXXX tel # XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX from Improved data services. I returned his call on XX/XX/XXXX, Sunday and left message I said that I stopped payment because I wanted to make sure who was legit and make sure that I wasn't getting double billed. after several conversations with Mister XXXX, he was trying to persuade me from going with the other creditor who he said may not be legitimate. he then stated that he doesn't know how they got this info. I asked him if he could email me showing my payoff, he said He would. Right before this call I called the original bank, XXXX, XXXX XXXX master card, who verified XXXX XXXX to be the actual debt Holder with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX to be the collector and Improved data services as a 4rth party collector. Going back to the earlier statement of XXXX non paid fees, I had a final conversation with Mr XXXX of improved data services today XX/XX/XXXX. I explained to him not to put in for payment moving forward and that's because of a stop payment I placed on my account which took affect yesterday. He became all belligerent after I told him that I would pay off my remaining amount of XXXX amount with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. He said so we are done here! twice and said that he would work on the missed payment fees, which I explained to him that with out any explanation or warning verbally or from official correspondence which never made it to me regarding any fees that I can not be held accountable for something that I was not explained up front or over the life span of my payments. As for the email he said he sent at XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to my email address. I checked my personal email account but did not see any thing showing. He said check to see your spam, during our final conversation. after that I knew that this wasn't right. it should of been in a letter. He hung up on me before I finished that I would alert the Fed. Trade commission. I will be contacting XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to discuss my remaining debt.

Improved Data Services LLC Collections I am filing a formal complaint against IDS for abusive and harassing collections tactics. Per FDCPA a debt collector is not allowed to contact a third-party more than once unless requested to do so by the third party. At no time have given IDS permission to contact me at all regarding anything yet they called me ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) MULTIPLE TIMES. XXXX @ XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX. In addition, per FDCPA if a debt collector already knows how to contact a consumer ( they have location information ) then there is no reason to call a family member, friend, or co-worker. The collector can not ask the third party to pass on a message, ask for other information or harass the third party. On occasions @ XX/XX/XXXX messages were left XXXX stated : Its very important that I speak to XXXX, please return my call, again it is very important that I speak with XXXX, if you are able to get this message to him, I appreciate it. I personally called at XXXX and spoke with XXXX and advised she does not have permission to contact my number. She proceeded to ask me if I know the party in question and asked If I know where he is at. I told her I refused to answer this and again not to call my number again. I asked for her employee ID, Company address and CEO name. She proceeded to put me on hold and on came someone by name of XXXX ( I think ). I advised him the same and that I did not ask to speak to him nor did I need to. I explained to him that they are not to call me per FDCPA and I have received multiple messages from XXXX. He proceeded to tell me although I told him this is a form of Harassment that they are not harassing me and that I dont have a valid complaint at all and they are allowed to call. He refused to give me the address, CEO name in addition to XXXX ID because according to him this was not a valid complaint? # 1. They have broken direct FDCPA law in contacting a Third Party twice without permission to do so. # 2. They have also broken FDCPA by creating urgency and asking me as a Third Party to get a message over to another person. I am floored with the fact that even after they broke FDCPA that on a recorded line a Supervisor was bold enough to tell me he would not give me what I was asking for because according to him I dont have a Valid complaint? *Note- I still have a copy of the voicemail messages left

A person from Improved Data Services contacted our phone today, XX/XX/2018 and my son answered. He said he was in Arbitration and his name is XXXX XXXX and he said they are from IDS which through research we found was Improved Data Services, and my son asked who they were and questions and he told my son that if I or he did not pay my debt by XXXX today, he was going to serve papers to me through our county court house this afternoon. My son became defensive and told him that it was illegal to say such things on the phone and when my son kept asking questions in who they were and what this was about, he began yelling at my son to not interrupt him and when my son was persistent with questions, the gentleman from IDS hung up on my son. The number they called from is a ND number which is XXXX. Then a few minutes later my son received a call on his cell phone which is a CA cell number and the number came from a XXXX XXXX number XXXX. It was the same company and the same person, XXXX XXXX, asking for me again and my son said they were contacting the wrong number and when my son asked again what this was in regard to the person on the other line became defensive and then said we already spoke with you earlier and hung up. They then continued to call our landline throughout the afternoon and my son would answer and they continued to ask various questions and phish for information. My daughter said she was receiving strange calls today as well from these numbers. We are reporting this to you and to our Attorney General for the reason that receiving calls as this and to be threatened with lawsuits if we do not pay a sum by XXXX today over the phone and to be screamed at over the phone not to interrupt when we are asking questions about who they are we felt needed to be reported. On XX/XX/2018 and XX/XX/2018 - I received a robo call from the debt collection company identifying as Improved Data Services ( IDS ). Although XXXX appears to have sold the debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX and would be handling the matter as of XX/XX/2018, IDS claims to have received my information on XX/XX/2018. After following the prompts and trying to figure out why I was being called, the representative XXXX called and told me to " cut the attitude '' mind you, this is an unsolicited call to my job by people trying to verify who I am but called me. She was rude and said ( since I have an attitude ) " blah, blah, blah, we'll just continue to call you at work! '' She then hung up on me, called back from a blocked number and just proceeded to breath into the phone and not say anything. This is in direct violation of 15 USC 1692d Sec. 806 ( 5 ) of the FDCPA. I called the number from the initial phone call XXXX and spoke with XXXX XXXX, who told me to " focus and get back to the basics '' she said XXXX was seeking a judgement against me and they were trying to settle the debt. I have received no correspondence from XXXX indicated there is a judgement. I explained to XXXX that I am aware of my rights and work for a law firm and the sheer fact that she is mentioning a judgement ( without an actual judgment in place ) is in violation of the 15 USC 1692e Section 807 ( 13 ), which states " the false representation or implication that documents are legal process. '' She stated " it's not harassing, I've been a debt collector for 16 years. How long have you been a debt collector? '' At that point, I had enough of the harassment and hung up. As of XX/XX/2018, IDS is continuing to call my job.

On XX/XX/22 at XXXX, XXXX from IDS contacted my mother in reference to a credit card debt. I returned the call and asked that his company not contact her or other family members and to contact me directly. ( She has battled XXXX ) XXXX and another representative state that they would remove the contacts. He offered a debt settlement and I asked for time to see if that would be something I could afford. XXXX gives a deadline of XXXX XXXX each day as the time when " he has to sign off on this. '' He calls at XXXX ( XXXX hours early than said deadline ) the following day demanding that I call to discuss the settlement, XX/XX/22. My husband was contacted even after they were asked to contact me only. IDS was extremely rude to my husband and asked " don't you think you should help your wife? '' XXXX calls again on XX/XX/22 at XXXX am and threatens to continue calling other people to reach me. I did not receive his message until XXXX that day being in an area of bad cellular service. I returned the call and asked that they not contact me again. I confronted XXXX about the conversation with my husband and he denied they ever spoke with him. I have already reached out to the original creditor and will work with them. This bullying, aggressive and harassment by IDS has to be stopped. Some of us feel bad enough that we can not pay our debt, then we are left to deal with nasty, aggressive phone calls from a company that is completely dishonest. Thank you for your time.

On XX/XX/XXXX I received a voicemail on my work phone from XXXX to contact her at XXXX reference account XXXX. During our conversation, we discussed settlement options and I agreed to touch base with her the following week after doing some research on financing a resolution. During that time I secured funds to enter into a payment arrangement with the company for the debt they were representing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Prior to ending our conversation, I asked that my work not be contacted in the future for my personal matter ; XXXX agreed to update my account contacts to reflect only my personal number. Today XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX I received another call on the same work line from XXXX. The automated message redirected me to a man who identified himself as XXXX XXXX. He made introductions and inquired about the status of the agreement. I asked him first to update the contact information again to not be work. His response was to ask me " how embarrassing it would be for [ me ] to be served at work in front of colleagues. '' At that point, the conversation deteriorated and we ended the call. In addition to a violation of the FCRA work call prohibition, the man was extremely rude and I think he may have followed insincere threats to sue prohibitions as well.

Beginning in the middle of XXXX, I was contacted by Improved Data Services, and told that my account with XXXX XXXX was placed in the office of XXXX XXXX XXXX, which was the client of Improved Data Services. I was then told that I had 24 hours to come up with {$1200.00} to stop XXXX from taking me to court and garnishing my wages. I explained that I did not have {$1200.00} to put down as a " down payment '', but I would like to enter into a payment plan with them on a monthly basis. I was told that what I offered monthly XXXX {$150.00} ) was not acceptable, and I would have to come up with at least the {$1200.00} and {$120.00} biweekly ( the cost of the orignal loan payments ). I had 24 hours to see how much I could come up with. Or my wages would be garnished. I was able to come up with {$500.00} and this was suddenly an acceptable an amount as the " downpayment '' - and then I'd find a way to do the $ 124/biweekly. But now I've tried to talk to the reps again and can not do the biweekly payments of the {$120.00}. I'd like to set something else up, but am told that this is not acceptable. I'd just like someone to work with me - I want to make payments, but am struggling, and no one will listen.. just threaten to take me to court.

On XX/XX/2020 I received a call from a company called Improved Data Services, LLC out of XXXX, NY. They claimed they were debt collectors for a debt owned by XXXX XXXX XXXX, which bought the debt from XXXX. The threated multiple times to sue me if I didn't pay and told me repeatedly the only way I could pay was to provide a card number over the phone. I asked them for something in writing I could send checks to or any other way to pay besides giving a card number on the phone and they said no, and said the company was going to sue me if I didn't pay. I then called the XXXX XXXX XXXX and nobody answered. I left a message noting the phone ca I had received and asking how I could pay. This company IDS or the one they supposedly represent never sent me anything in writing and I was not aware of this debt. This IDS was a bully and aggressive and theatening over the phone. They need to be shut down. When I asked them to send me something in writing, they aend me the attached, which could be from anyone.

On XX/XX/2020, I contacted XXXX XXXX at Improved Data Services. I firmly told him to not contact my extended family members as that is unacceptable and not appropriate for debt collection. After confronting him about contacting my extended family member ( 14 times in the last week and a half, which is absolutely unnecessary ) he stated it was to " verify my employment '' which is unnecessary as it is because I've not had a judgement or have been served papers for garnishment of my wages. I left him a voicemail stating I wanted no further contact as I've hired a bankruptcy attorney and that all contact will be going through them starting XX/XX/2020 and that I would be mailing them a letter stating I want no further contact.

As recently as XXXX, 2021, a company named, " Improve Data Services '' has continually and repeatedly, after being instructed to stop, called my place of work. These continued calls have interrupted the operations of an emergency communications dispatch center and taken staff away from assistance and emergency related calls. The callers have even raised their voices and used deceptive techniques. The callers have attempted to be transferred to Human Resources even after being told this is a place of business and has no connection to this situation. The calls have now become automated messages that come in at a minimum of two times per day.

XX/XX/19 around XXXX ( work hours ) XXXX XXXX from Improved Data Services called my sister ( XXXX ) from phone # XXXXXXXX & informed my sister that a legal matter was being brought towards me. I returned XXXX XXXX call at phone # XXXX, after she left me a voicemail. I requested that she NOT contact my family members regarding a matter that does not concerns them. She then left me another voicemail while I was at work. She then called my job, asked for me, left her name & hung up when I picked the call up. Harassing my family members & bothering me at work is not the way to conduct business.

The debt collector was calling and harassing friends and family members and telling them to get a message to me. When they said that they didnt know anything about what the collector was talking about they asked if I had committed fraud on the original application. I then started getting calls about how my social security number was being deactivated because they found out that someone was using it to commit fraud.
