XXXX XXXX XXXX was a company that provided sub-prime auto loans in Illinois and several other States. During the years of XX/XX/XXXX to and through XX/XX/XXXX they engaged in deceptive, fraudulent and illegal debt collection practices as they preyed upon unwitting previous customers. XXXX XXXX XXXX through the use of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX ( Honor Finances General Counsel ) engaged in the practice of debt collection, on XXXX XXXX XXXX behalf, without being licensed to do so. The actions of XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX & XXXX XXXX ), Honor Finance, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX can best be described as THEFT by DECEPTION. I have submitted a complaint through your department regarding XXXX XXXX, CPA and it has been confirmed by your office that he is not nor has never been licensed to engage in the practice of collections in Illinois or any other State. Honor Finance facilitated the fraudulent & illegal collections activity and under the supervision of XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX at Honor Finance, XXXX XXXX would collect payments by check & credit cards and submit the funds back to the offices of Honor Finance. In many cases these payments would come in as a result of wage garnishments that were initiated by XXXX XXXX, CPA and processed by XXXX XXXX, General Counsel for Honor Finance. XXXX XXXX XXXX states that they have no relationship with XXXX XXXX and that these old accounts were purchased by himalthough hes not a licensed debt collector. Given the fact that XXXX XXXX had a personal username and login to Honor Finances proprietary computer system in addition to a personal login to Honor Finances XXXX account to access customer credit reports ( PRIVATE/CONFIDENTIAL/PERSONAL INFORMATION ) and also personal logins to Honor Finances skip tracing programs, its hard to believe that he had no relationship with their companyhe spent more of his work day on Honor Finances customers than he did on his own. All accounts, by virtue of XXXX XXXX lack of having a debt collection license, were being fraudulently and illegally collected upon. The most egregious act that these individuals perpetrated against these unwitting consumers was collecting payments and not applying them to any believed debt that they thought they owedthe funds were collected and pocketed by these individualsTHEFT! There are customer scenarios where customers cars were repossessed and sold and the sale proceeds were never applied to their accountsTHEFT! My allegations & accusations are from first-hand accounts and Im more than willing to meet, discuss and provide any supporting information that I have. In meeting with your representative in your XXXX XXXX office, he urged me to follow up with your office after he had a chance to review the documents I had regarding XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.

i made my car note payment on the XXXX of XXXX about the XXXX of XXXX I along with the Account holder started getting calls about the payment we were told that the payment was decline, I explained that the transaction was ran twice approved the first time and declined the second time I was asked to fax my bank statement to there office I did that, a few days later more calls came in again I explained my situation about the payment ( this is a different person ) I was told that the fax was not able to locate it and ask to fax it again I not only fax it I hand delivered a copy to the XXXX office, again a few days later more calls came in this time I 'm talking to XXXX I was told by here that I have been very uncooperative! now she 's asking to speak with my bank because I do n't know what I 'm talking about and get off the phone! so I ask XXXX who would you like to speak to from the bank im standing in the bank now? mind you I 'm standing in the tellers window with the teller and Bank manager so I ask again " XXXX who would you like to speak to from the bank I 'm in the window now? she stated " get me someone that knows what there talking about! I ask who XXXX would you like to speak to she either hung up on me or just refuse to talk I kept saying hello XXXX 5 times she never replied so I hung up and called back, then she started shouting I hung up on her, by now the Bank manager suggested that XXXX call her direct? XXXX stated she could n't call the bank and the manager of the store said she could n't talk on my phone, so I ask XXXX what do you want me to do you cant call and she cant get on my phone? at this point XXXX decided she would call the Bank which is illegal, after XXXX spoke with the Bank Manager about my account she ask to talk back to me when I get on the phone now XXXX is asking for my Credit card information Card number expiration date and security code which is totally unethical. then I spoke with several other peoples from Honor Finance and no one could find or figure out what happen to the payment, after I gave all my CC info I was told by XXXX she would call me and the bank to inform us on the status of the issue this was on or about the XXXX 2017, after speaking with XXXX a few days later I got a call form a manager XXXX? I explained to him the situation he began to laugh! I ask was it funny he stated he 's not laughing at me but at what I 'm going thought so it let me know that the treatment I 'm getting is really a practices no one took the time to find the payment but everyday I was receiving calls about the payment from at least XXXX different employees of Honor Finance.

The issue I present before you for review and subsequently action is this : 1. I am attempting to apply for a mortgage for a home and when my credit report was requested by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX the report was incomplete from only 1 Credit Reporting Agency and that is XXXX XXXX. The XXXX XXXX report has NO information regarding my auto loan on which I have been paying, out of my personal ( singular ) checking account for over 6 months. The other 2 Credit Reporting Agencies have the information just as it is shared with all agencies. All 3 agencies receive the information associated with my social security number ending in XXXX and the information regarding my co-owner on the note, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( my spouse ) and his social security number ending in XXXX, however XXXX XXXX seems to have difficulty making the connection between all the variables. Variables : A. My name on my drivers license, when I applied for the loan was XXXX XXXX XXXX but on my social security card was XXXX XXXX XXXX. Variable B. I am the co-owner of this loan with my husband XXXX XXXX Varable C. The finance company, Honor Finance, reports both XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX as making the payments on this loan on time and without lapse. 2. I have attempted to correct this oversight and have spoken to various representatives of XXXX XXXX, including those in a supervisory role, but have not been able to correct the error they are making in their reporting. I have Faxed ( XXXX17 ) documentation explaining the issue and still nothing gets accomplished. I have been told on every single call " the issue is the name they are reporting and the social security number do n't match and that is the relevant issue and I ( representative ) will correct the record and the error will correct itself. '' Thais statement is incorrect!!!!! 3. I believe the customer service associated with this company is so sub-par and the representatives have NO desire to actually correct the mistakes. I am quite confident, that had these reports, associated with my social security number, been derogatory in nature, there would be NO hesitation as to how they would adversely impact my report. obtained loan from Honor Finance for vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX. made payments monthly up until XX/XX/XXXX when their website told me I did not owe anything on loan. I wrote numerous letters and they did not respond until the middle of XX/XX/XXXX when I sent a certified letter at which time they told me I owed a payoff amount for the account for XXXX amount and 10 days later it would be a different amount. We never got bills or statements from this company even when we requested them. we had no idea what was going on with our loan or where we were at with payments. I sent them a letter stating that we were not going to pay additional interest due to their lack of response to all our previous letters and their lack of providing us as consumers information regarding our loan status at any time during our loan even when requested. They then sent a letter certified stating we owed yet a different amount and that they were going to repossess our vehicle without any need to go to court, but if we wanted to go to court we had to let them know in 15 days. Due to their lack in providing us as consumers the information we requested regarding our loan they prevented us from knowing balances on the loan, breakdown of payments, how many payments were left, when payments were processed vs when they were sent/made, etc. We sent letters every other month since the beginning of the loan and only once received a response and the statement we requestedTheir practices and business has kept us in the dark and with no information regarding our loan for the duration of the loan. In letters we sent it stated that all communication was to be writting and they were not to call, yet someone I know called to say that they were getting up to XXXX phone calls a day from Honor Finance who was also providing info about us that violated our legal rights. Even if they contacted us via phone I believe they are only able to call once a day.

I had a car loan with honor finance they came and repossessed the car last year in XXXX however it reflects on my credit report that honor finance repossessed the car in XXXX of this year I have called honor finance and I have called the credit bureaus to dispute the item and have it updated correctly and have not gotten anywhere I even ask the credit beauru to ask honor finance to furnish the paperwork showing when they repossessed the car and they will not and the credit agency will not update my credit report to the accurate information that they repossessed the car last year in XXXX as a result when I have applied for new car loans I have been denied because this repossession Isvshowing they just repossessed the car in XXXX of this year this have made my credit score drop tremendously because I keep reapplying for car loans also it have severely tarnished my credit report and financial image to the point no one wants to give me a car because honor finance and the credit beaurus has been falsely and knowingly putting this inaccurate information on my credit report even after i have made many attempts to correct the report and yet even the credit beaurus have updated my report as accurate when its not accurate this in my eyes is a violation of my consumer credit reporting rights and Im asking that the Cfpb step in and render the appropriate action

I paid off my car loan to Honor Finance, I used the same credit / debit card I have used for the past 10 months and am now told that they will not release my title or any other documentation, which establishes that my note is paid in full, unless I send a copy of my credit / debit card as well as a copy of my drivers license. I asked why and they just said it was their rule and their way of making sure that I do not stop payment. How can sending a copy of my card and license assure this company of anything, much less guarantee a payment, which has already cleared my bank? I feel that they are holding my title, for a loan, which has been paid in full as a hostage to gain personal information, which they already have on file. I do not feel that additional information should be necessary as my loan is paid in full, the company is aware of my mailing address and contact information as well as credit / debit card information as they have been processing that card number as payments all along. As far as I can tell, through my research, their steadfast refusal to release my car title in a reasonable amount of time, say 30 days is nothing short of taking my title as hostage after final payment in an effort to obtain information they already have. This is unfair, unnecessary and unprofessional conduct. Any help you may provide would be greatly appreciated.

I got a vehicle loan in XXXX XXXX and recently I contact them to let them know that I was in the process of filing bankruptcy, that I am attorney represented and I provided my attorney contact information to my lender on Monday XXXX XXXX . Today is XXXX XXXX and my lender has continued to call me despite me telling them I am represented and they need to direct all questions to my attorney. They have contacted me on the following dates and times ( usually leaving a voicemail every time ) Tuesday XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( we spoke for 8 minutes, where I again advised them I am attorney represented, and they told me that until my case is filed they will continue calling ) XXXX XXXX They called at XXXX XXXX XXXX , left a message. I had contract with Honor Finance for a car that they financed ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Each and everyday, Honor Finance would call, text me then send an email to my employer 's email regarding payment. I have asked verbally, and have sent written notification for Honor Finance not to call or send emails to my job, but they continue to ( see attached ). About a week ago, I traded the XXXX XXXX. I spoke with XXXX XXXX and let him know that I no longer have the car and to contact XXXX. XXXX was furious and after a few words, abruptly hung up the phone on me. Calls and emails continue even as of this date XXXX XXXX, XXXX and I am stressed out and harassed by Honor Finance customer service and XXXX XXXX. I need for this to stop as it has elevated my XXXX XXXX. If you look at my emails from XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX, XXXX where I clearly state for Honor Finance not to send emails to my job, BUT, they continued to do so. Honor Finance has been calling repeatedly ... several times a day for several weeks now. I have asked them over and over to stop calling. I do not owe them money. I do not have debt with them. I have never carried debt with them. I have no relationship with this company. They have absolutely no reason to be calling me. Honor Finance is harassing me because a friend listed me as a reference at some point ( without my knowledge ) and she owes them money. They know where my friend is. They know her phone number and her address. It is not my responsibility to collect a debt for them. I want these calls to stop. This is not okay. They have called from several phone numbers on multiple occasions, and I will continue to delete their threatening messages and block every single number they call me from. The fiance company honor fiance company took the car to fix it cause it shut off on me on the freeway In front of a 18 wheeler. Return the car two months later still not fixed. On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with XXXX to remove inquires i did not authorize. I spoke with a XXXX rep and told him which ones needed to be removed, he confirmed the ones that needed to be removed and the call dropped. As I called back and was on hold for about 20 more minutes I got another XXXX rep I explained to him what the other XXXX rep was doing about deleting the unauthorized inquires before the call dropped, however she was rude and did not care. After talking for about 5-10 more minutes, needless to say she did not help me with what the original XXXX rep was willing to do. There are XXXX inquires from XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX from car loan places. None of these places had my authirization to pull my credit or anything relating to this matter.

I contacted Honor Finance almost a year ago to ask them to stop contacting people on my behalf. It is as if they found a list of everyone I 've ever known and contact all of them constantly. They have contacted old boyfriends, old bosses, former TEACHERS, all of my siblings, close friends, extended family, people I have n't spoken to in years, and my personal favorite - someone I had a restraining order against. I contacted them in XXXX to tell them that the car caught on fire and was a total loss and that I intend to file bankruptcy and they continued to harass me daily until I changed my number and blocked their emails, so they make up for it by harassing everyone else.

I went in and bought a new car. The company backed out of loan after booking it issues with title brought the car back. Called the financial company and asked when it would fall off my credit because I had to buy another car and they where reporting new opened auto loan. They said a couple days. Then a couple weeks later it was still their and the new financial company is requested a letter showing I do n't owe this. This company by the name of Honor Finance has been continuously reporting inaccurate information to all three major Credit Bureau. I have filed several disputes asking all CB to delete this inaccurate information based on the grounds that this company has not provided myself or the CB with sufficient information as requested. It has been 7 months now, extremely past the allowable time in which the creditor has to respond to my request of information and validation of debt, in accordance with FDCPA. At this time this company is in violation under FDCPA section 809 ( B ). The derogatory information thats being reported is stopping me from advancement in my career.

Bankruptcy filed XX/XX/XXXX and discharged XX/XX/XXXX case XXXX XXXX in the XXXX XXXX ohio federal bankruptcy court. One account, Honor Finance has been notified of the filing and discharge but refuses to change the status to closed and XXXX. Multiple attempts to speak with someone results in voicemail. No call backs and no return emails. The bankruptcy was discharged and by bankruptcy law, they are required to change the status correctly. This is now affecting my credit report as they will not show account closed. My account with honor finance is # XXXX. I have disputed each and every Credit agency report. In XXXX XXXX the vehicle was a total loss. My insurance paid Honor Finance off. There was a balance owed by XXXX XXXX for the cancelation of the vehicle warranty. They have been calling and harassing me for months. They even tried to sue me in court. But on XXXX XXXX, XXXX the day of the hearing XXXX XXXX paid them by check for the balance owed. I have set up payment arrangements for my account, and found out complaints on this company before the head office said I would n't be getting anymore call about my account until the end of my payment arrangements, but no one is noticed the account each rep that keep calling is getting ruder. Honor had to to pay {$100.00} put a month I missed on the back end of my loan. Since they went into my bank acct and withdrawn additional funds my bank returned the payment. I also made arrangements and said it will be best to pay my loan each month by XX/XX/XXXX!!! This company sends my text messages from personal cell numbers and I have asked them to stop doing that! Honor Finance calls me everyday to collect my daughter 's debt and I am willing to communicate with them. My daughter agreed and asked for something in writing. After this they continue to call but are changing their mind regarding the agreement. My daughter will not communicate with people because of her XXXX and they were willing to talk to me before. I 've spoken to XXXX with Honor finance on several occasions about violating my privacy by choosing to send threatening messages regarding the repossession of my vehicle. I 've asked her to either leave a voicemail message or even send via email. But she refuses to listen and continuously have sent messages stating my vehicle is up for repossession via text message. I have a loan with HONOR FIN. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX, XXXX and HONOR FIN with no successful resolution. XXXX and XXXX are reporting me late. Hello, Honor Finance is absolutely NOT permitted to call my work, and I have sent that in writing several times as well as expressed that via telephone. I received a call on XX/XX/2016 at XXXX regarding my car loan where the caller used deceptive practices to be transferred to my classroom during school hours. The receptionist thought she was a parent because of how the caller presented herself and the nature of her call.

My car loan was sold to a finance company because the original seller went out of business. Ive asked for new contract or something in writing by mail explaining that the debt in fact has been sold.they refuse to give it to me.
