Our family was subjected to deceptive, coercive, and in some cases illegal, loan practices by Homie Loans, followed by deceptive, coercive, and threatening behavior by our Homie real estate agent, neither of which had our back, but rather, appeared to be actively working against our best interest.
The loan process was beset by confusing XXXX game tactics, errors, and untruths. Even worse, our loan disclosures were given to us too late to rectify. In other words, it was sign or else. No one likes to be coerced or threatened.
In the case of the original disclosures, they were provided a full 5 days after our loan contingency had expired. In other words, we only got to see preliminary numbers after it was too late to rectify them.
We didnt receive our final disclosure until 4 days after our closing date. That is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX timing.
Instead of working to rectify our many issues, Homie Real estate threatened us with an action that was forbidden in the contract, and then offered us increasing amounts of money outside of escrow, a practice that we believe to be illegal, unethical, and immoral.
Homie also actively put our XXXX money at risk, allowing or facilitating our money to be moved from a safe XXXX party escrow account into a Sellers brokerage account.
All of these actions, and many more not included in this report for brevity, caused us to lose the house that we had selected for our family and suffer a catastrophic loss of our XXXX money, an amount totaling {$7000.00}. This has caused stress in our marriage, sleepless nights, a period with no home, and the inability to purchase another home because of the loss of our XXXX money. In addition, it has caused numerous man-hours in creating this and other reports for review by various legal and regulatory bodies. In short, this event was catastrophic for my family at a time when we are already under duress from countless other outside forces.
