On XX/XX/2023, I applied with XXXX Tap company for a Loan against the equity in my home. The process was initially smooth and the representative was very helpful and communicative initially. I provided all of the documentation that I was asked for immediately as I knew that I had issues to handle financially. I was given a XXXX to XXXX week timeframe for this process to be handled from start to finish, however that was not the case. There were a litany of issues during this process including but not limited to : 1 ) Misleading timeframe for process 2 ) Unreasonable delays due to my home being titled into a Trust 3 ) Misleading expectations set for a positive outcome of the process 4 ) Lack of Communication with their own representative and with me about progress 5 ) Deceptive lending practices 6 ) Dishonesty about communicating with my bank to request a Verification of Mortgage 7 ) Unprofessionalism 8 ) Insensitive communication from the Supervisor 9 ) Discrimination 10 ) Failure to provide detailed explanation of ultimate reason for decline This company does not have a legitimate process for its customers and I believe that this company knew weeks prior that it was not going to approve me for the Home Equity Loan however, I was dangled for four weeks with : 1 ) " we don't have an update yet from underwriting '' 2 ) Underwriting is waiting on requested information from your credit union 3 ) I don't know where we are in the process as there are no updated notes 4 ) We should be hearing something back anyday now 5 ) As soon as we hear back from underwriting we will let you know There was no communication from underwriting to me through this process. No requests for clarity on any confusing documents. I basically took control of my own process by requesting a Verification of Mortgage and a Letter of Explanation from my credit union regarding information that my representative told me " might '' have been an issue. This company should not be in business as they are not upfront with the expectations the customer can expect nor are they transparent through the process. I am very upset that they wasted three months of my life. Now I must proceed with finding another lender after 90 days of being tied up with this highly unprofessional company. I also feel as if I'm being discriminated against because there is no logical reason for the decline and no attempt to let me know why I was declined. Thank you.

We entered into an agreement with Hometap for them to borrow us money against the equity in our home. We wanted to pay this loan/investment off and on Wednesday, XX/XX/2022, we asked and received a settlement statement from Hometap with the assurances once they received our payment in full, they would release the three ( 3 ) liens they put on the title to our home. When I called them today, XX/XX/2022, they indicated they have not received our check. But our tracking number indicated the payment was delivered to them on XX/XX/2022, at XXXX a.m..

per credit report on XX/XX/2022 and XX/XX/2022 a inquiry was established from factual data. I have no awareness of this company nor have or have had any credit accounts. Also on XX/XX/2022 there is an inquiry from a company named HomeTap in which I also did not authorize nor have or had any credit revolving/non-revolving accounts with this company. Please review and have these 3 inquires removed from my credit report.
