First contacted this loan officer who took my income information and made a pre-approval for the amount of a home I was looking at, it was hitting the max end of our pre-approval but she did it anyway. When our buyer of our home wanted us to pay closings costs, $ XXXX, I asked XXXX if this would be a good idea, she said that we would maybe have $ XXXX leftover if we paid our buyers closing costs, if we purchased this home we were looking at. There was a lot of communication back and forth with XXXX she kept asking for items I had already sent her, and pretty much rushed us through the process. I do not recall any sort of pre-counseling of sort or notice regarding not using your credit cards when in the process of trying to obtain a mortgage. Also, I ended up not paying my mortgage because I was using that money to make repairs. From the months of XXXX through XXXX is when our loan was pre-approved. Then, come the day we were finishing up on closing on our loan all of a sudden this lender says we are not qualified. Actually, I could not even get a hold of XXXX after she emailed me and told me that we were no longer approved. I tried calling all day Friday and the remainder of the weekend. I was basically blown off and given no chance to fix the deficiencies. We literally had already sold our house based on XXXX 's professional advice. They must have done something procedurally incorrectly, well they did, we had ten days until we were homeless at that point. We could not breach our contract with our buyer. We scrambled and there was no apology, no response, no nothing. I spoke with XXXX XXXX, her supervisor, the mortgage branch manager, he had no idea about our file or what was going on. It was awful to know no one cared that our us and our XXXX kids would be homeless. We were lucky enough to have our seller rent his house back to us while we are ( stlll ) trying to correct the deficiencies that XXXX apparently did not catch ( or her team ). This is a complaint against the entire department. There is no oversight nor care in the way XXXX or her team do their job. I am writing this complaint in hopes that this does not happen to anyone else that they may work with on a home loan, there needs to be reprimand, although I think XXXX should be fired for this behavior. The only person at that company that even remotely helped or answered the phone was XXXX XXXX. This company should not be allowed to do business unless they are in the business of making families homeless.

I applied for a home refinance through Connecticut Home mortgage. Connecticut Home mortgage merged under the Home Services Lending on XX/XX/XXXX. All my paper work and appraisals were done on time. The lender, XXXX, delayed the underwriting for over 3 weeks and now will not honor the rate lock. I need someone to resolve this. The mortgage company one month later wo n't issue a commitment letter or denial but I received a call that the will not honor the rate. I received a call from the Branch manager today, XXXX at Home services lending who recommended that I file a complaint with the CFPB to get the Bank to honor the rate lock.

The company used negative credit information against me, and did not tell me about it nor allowed me to dispute the negative information. It has now been removed from my credit report. The closing was XX/XX/2023. I contacted the company and they told me about the negative information after the fact.
