Hello, I consolidated my Federal Stafford loans ( roughly $ 50k ) received from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) in late XX/XX/XXXX after graduating from XXXX XXXX at XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I have managed to pay down my student loan balance since XX/XX/XXXX on time each month and was also able to pay additional amounts to help reduce the outstanding balance subject to interest charges. Based on a recent financial event that has allowed me to completely pay off my remaining balance, I paid {$10000.00} to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX is the servicer of my consolidated loans ). I did this by using the pay online function that displayed the 'payoff amount ' and simply entered that amount to pay off.
After I did this, I remembered that XXXX offered 2 benefits when we were told about using the consolidation option for our subsidized and un-subsidized Stafford loans. One benefit was a 0.25 % interest rate reduction after a certain period of on time payments and I was given this benefit several years ago ( my interest rate went from 3.5 % to 3.25 % ). The other benefit was that the final {$590.00} of our loan balance would be forgiven if we continued to make our payments on time. It does not appear the XXXX website gave me the benefit of the {$590.00} forgiveness so I emailed XXXX about my questions regarding this forgiveness benefit. I was told ( emails back and forth with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ) that since I paid my entire loan balance off, that I am not eligible to receive this forgiveness option.
I have a hard time understanding this since I 've been a good payer on my loans owned by XXXX and serviced by XXXX for over 10 years. I have also paid thousands of dollars in interest charges since XX/XX/XXXX on my amount borrowed, so I do n't believe that being able to receive the benefit of the {$590.00} forgiveness benefit is something that is such a terrible request even if I am able to pay off my loan early. If I had realized this, I would have simply paid the full amount due minus the {$590.00} so it would have been forgiven through whatever process they have set up. But because I did pay off my entire balance, XXXX is telling me that I 'm not eligible to receive the forgiveness benefit.
I find this very unfair since I have been a faithful payer on my loans and am being penalized for paying off my entire balance. Also, why does n't the XXXX website allow for consumers to understand this forgiveness? {$590.00} is a lot of money and I do n't believe it 's asking too much to receive the benefit that XXXX has given others that qualify for it like I do.
Thank you, XXXX XXXX XXXX

To Whom It May Concern at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am writing to formally dispute the negative reporting on my credit report concerning my account with the Higher Education Service Corporation ( HESC ). Below is a summary of the issues that have led to this dispute : Higher Education Service Corporation ( HESC ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX Account XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Loan # : XXXX Loan # : XXXX Change of Payment Address : HESC changed their payment address without adequately notifying me. They claim to have sent an email on XX/XX/23, which I have not received despite thorough checks of my email, including spam and junk folders.
Misdirection of Payments : Due to the lack of communication about the address change, my payments were sent to the old po box and were not applied to my account. This led HESC to place my account in a 60-day past-due status.
Negative Reporting to Credit Agencies : As a result of the misdirected payments, HESC reported negative feedback to all credit agencies, including XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, severely impacting my credit score and financial standing.
XXXX XXXX : I immediately corrected the outstanding balance once I became aware of the issue. Despite this, HESC has refused to retract the negative reporting, stating that " no servicing error has occurred. '' Good Faith Attempts : I have made all payments in good faith based on the information available to me. I have also made immediate efforts to resolve the issue upon becoming aware.
I request the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to investigate this matter thoroughly and remove the negative reporting from my credit report as it is unjust and impacts my financial credibility. I have acted in good faith and expect the same from HESC XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt resolution.
Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Subject : Request to Cease Contact Regarding Alleged Debt Dear Sir/Madam, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to address an ongoing issue that I have been experiencing concerning the receipt of letters from your office regarding an alleged debt. I would like to inform you that I have never entered into any contractual agreement with your company, and therefore, I do not owe you any debt. Item is also listed twice on my credit report.
As a third-party debt collector, it is essential that you understand that I have thoroughly reviewed my financial records and have found no evidence of any outstanding debt owed to your company. I kindly request that you stop calling and mailing me regarding this matter immediately.
I have taken the time to educate myself about consumer laws and my rights in such situations. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), in order for any alleged debt to be considered valid, there must be a valid signed contract between the debtor and the collector. As I have not signed any contract with your company, it is crystal clear that I do not owe you any debt.
I kindly request that you respect my rights as a consumer and cease all communication with me in relation to this alleged debt. Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could remove any negative information related to this debt from my credit report, as it is incorrect and misleading.
Please understand that any further attempts to contact me or any failure to comply with my request will be considered a violation of the FDCPA, and I will not hesitate to take appropriate legal action to protect my rights.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. I expect to receive written confirmation from your office within 30 days acknowledging that my request has been honored and that all contact regarding this alleged debt will cease.

The loan was from my previous marriage in which we divorced in XX/XX/XXXX. When we were married our loans were consolidated to a marital spousal consolidation loan, which now we know that this is a terrible loan, therefore it is no longer offered. In the divorce I agreed to pay the remainder of the loans which were mainly mine from XXXX in XXXX Texas, it is listed in our divorce decree. My ex husband is the person listed on the loan and I get constant calls for him regarding these loans, in which they are paid on a regular basis. I just found out by calling back Higher Ed, a loan company who has been harassing me for 3 weeks, calling me 2 times a week ( asking for my exhusband ), just told me that they just bought my loan from XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. I never received any documentation of this sell. This loan is extremely unethical and the fact that no one will refinance it because its a XXXX loan, and the fact that its keeps getting sold to other lenders, in which it gets to keep its title as a martial spousal consolidated loan, once again leaving me no way out. I have now been married to my new NON ABUSIVE husband for the past 9 years and I refuse to contact my ex husband who was abusive to me and my son ( who is now XXXX XXXX XXXX, whom I won custody of because of abuse ) to ask his permission or get his signature to refinance or verbal okay to put in forbearance. As a VICTIM where are my rights and am I still dealing with this after 14 years??? I became aXX/XX/XXXX( not an English teacher, so please don't be hateful ) after I graduated with this loan, when is enough, enough? So far, there has been no help or hope, therefore my next step will be finding a good lawyer. Not only did HESCloans buy this unethical loan, they have now more than doubled my payment from XXXX XXXX XXXX to now two different payments of XXXX and XXXX ... .this is unbelievable

XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX Higher Education Servicing Corporation I have student loans that I have never entered into a payment agreement. I have always deferred the payments. Early this year I missed some paperwork to continue my deferment but did what they asked me to do in order to bring my account " current ''. It took one form and they gave me a date to put on the form going back to when my account was due because my deferment had ended. I filled out the form and thought that was it. In XXXX my credit score dropped significantly causing credit card companies to close some of my accounts because my score was so low. I have worked hard to maintain good credit and I believe this is an unfair credit reporting by the company. They are reporting 21 late or missed payments causing my score to drop. I pay all my bills on time and ahead of time. I have also payed down my credit card debt but my score does not improve. According to the credit reporting agencies the number of late/missed payments showing on my report is the cause of my low score. I have reached out to the company and spoken with Mrs. XXXX around the first week in XXXX of this year. They are not providing me with any solutions and advised me to call my congressman for help. I have also spoken with XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX ) about my account. According to XXXX I have one account with one account number. I have also disputed the information with the credit bureaus but my score continues to be low. Please help!!

My student loan creditor, Higher Education Servicing Corp. is reporting multiple periods of late payments for student loan accounts that were placed in forbearance retroactively, but were never updated to CRAs as required by The Fair Credit Report Act Section 623 ( a ) ( 2 ).
The US Department of Education states that retroactive forbearance acknowledges a period where no payments are due. Therefore negative credit history must be removed/updated. This duty to update extends to all student loan accounts reported to CRAs, regardless of whether they were accurate at one point. The Fair Credit Report Act Section 623 ( a ) ( 2 ) requires that the furnisher both update and correct information submitted to the CRA. Reporting is to be updated on my credit report to reflect a forbearance status for the months indicated below. ( 2 accounts ) : Loans placed in forbearance on XX/XX/XXXX and retroactively backdated to cover the past due month of XX/XX/XXXX. Loans placed in forbearance on XX/XX/XXXX and retroactively backdated to cover past due months of XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX

I have been trying to get this fraud account taken off my credit and I dont know why the credit bureaus haven't taken it off yet when I have sent multiple letters to them about it. I sent a letter back on the XXXX last month in XXXX and I attached the document of the original letter as well. It looks like it was opened XX/XX/2007 with a balance of {$0.00} and a high balance total of {$3500.00}
