I received a call from High Point Asset on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX stating that they were attempting to collect debt 's from me. I did not answer since I did n't know the number. They called my mom 's and then I called then back. Was speaking to XXXX XXXX and got disconnected, called back and someone picked up and said nothing, called again and got XXXX XXXX at ext. XXXX. He said I owed a total of {$1800.00} for XXXX payday loans from XXXX and XXXX from XXXX, that went unpaid and that Capital interchange corp who bought my debt 's had hired High Point to call me. He had the last XXXX digits of my social and my bank account number. ( I no longer have that account as of XXXX ). I told him that I was positive that was not true. He told me that the company they were calling for that bought the loans, if I did not pay the debt, could either charge it off or take me to court or garnish my wages. I told him I never received a written notification of the debt, so he emailed me XXXX letters. I told him that if I could prove they were n't mine what to do. He told me that even if I could prove that I never received a deposit that the company wants the money and they could make me pay anyways. I told him that was fraud to collect money I clearly have proof that I do n't owe. He said it was my choice to pay that he was just notifying me. He also stated that if you apply for a payday loan then you are obligated to pay for it even if you did n't receive the funds, that in order to disconnect from the application there is a certain way that you exit out of it. ( Last I checked, you have to electronically sign for a payday loan and it records your IP address. ) Once I received the letter 's I found it odd that my current address was on them. In XXXX and XXXX I lived in a completely different state and my current address did n't exist ; it was pasture land.The letter 's stated that I have 30 days from the date of notification to respond/dispute the validity. SO I told him that I was not paying anything yet and that I was going to pull my back statements to verify if I owed the debt 's but that I was positive I did not. I also told him the XXXX from XXXX I did take out, but I have the receipt verifying that XXXX was paid off. He said he would put a 30 day hold on my account and we hung up. A few hours later got a call from High Point from a different number stating I needed to contact them that they were handling a debt. XXXX same message, but I had 72 hours to contact them or they would move forward and all attempts were being documented. XXXX same message, but with 48 hours. XXXX same message, but with XXXX, and again XXXX same, but only had until XXXX. I did not call them back or answer the phone on these call 's because I already spoke to someone and I have proof that they were giving me 30 days. I received my bank statements for XXXX and XXXX. XXXX, The only deposits that were made were member deposits ( money that I or my husband at the time went in to the bank and deposited ), my salary direct deposits, and XXXX loan deposit ( not sure what it was from or who initiated the deposit, me or my former husband ). Which the loan deposit was not on a date that any of the payday loans were supposedly deposited. And again, I have my receipt from the XXXX in XXXX showing paid for. I am mailing a certified letter with all bank statements and a letter stating to stop calling me and my parents today. I fully believe this is a scam since I know for a fact I never received a deposit and there are numerous complaints on the XXXX website about this company regarding the same exact issue I am having. I was married during XXXX and XXXX. My married last name is XXXX. Went back to maiden name in XXXX. I am submitting the letters from High point, my bank statements covering those dates, and receipt and statement for the XXXX XXXX that was paid for.

I 've had XXXX different so called collection agencies call me stating I owe them for a payday loan, which happens to be the same loan from XXXX XXXX. The first set of calls started in XX/XX/XXXX, I started receiving phone calls from Highpoint Asset ( phone number XXXX ) claiming I owe a payday loan from XX/XX/XXXX. They wanted me to verify my personal information over the phone. I refused and asked to be sent a certified letter. I never received a letter, but til today I receive phone calls. They never state who they are or where they are calling from. I called back the number ( above ) to obtain the name of the company calling me. When the gentleman calls me, states hes looking for conformation of my address to send a letter. The female called and stated I had until XXXX to return the call or legal action would be taken. All of this occurred during the month of XXXX, for the entire month. I let them go to voicemail and I also blocked there number. Never once receiving anything via us mail. The second to call me was XXXX ( phone number XXXX ). They called my work place and let a message. I returned their call. The gentleman stated I had a payday loan from XX/XX/XXXX. I explained to him I paid off my loans and had a receipt. He told me they where a fraud and the loan was not paid. I received via email a document to sign from a XXXX XXXX so the monies could be debited from my account. The document was shaded and could not be printed without choosing a category. So I left it sitting in my email. I goggled the address on the letter which is XXXX XXXX XXXX. # XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXXand came up with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Mailbox Rentals, Packages, Shipping. A couple of days later my daughter receives a phone call from a XXXX XXXX. He did not even realize he was talking to a XXXX year old. My daughter called me immediately because he scared her with his questions. Upon getting no response from me they stopped calling. The third was XXXX XXXX ( phone number XXXX ) leaving you a message weather you answered or not to call XXXX. Upon returning this call, they also stated owed XXXX XXXX from a loan in XX/XX/XXXX. I explained to the women on the phone I had no idea what she was talking about. She told me I committed fraud with my bank and needed to verify some information. I explained I was n't verifying anything but she could send me a certified letter if you claim you have my information. The woman became angry stating " NO I CA N'T '' and hung up the phone. Behind this they have also called my XXXX year old daughters phone and my niece phone. My niece lives in XXXX. I called the number back explaining that my daughter was a XXXX, please remove her number from call logs. The gentle started reciting numerous numbers. I told him they just called my daughter so remove the last number you called. I than proceeded to ask how did he get her number. The man stated " Your daughter must have recently acquired a number that was in our system for a while ''. I stated back to him your a lair my daughter has had this number for three years and she is a XXXX. He immediately hung up. When calling your phone no one leaves a name, title, reason for call. Just you need to return their call. I believe them all to be SCAMS. This is the Holiday season, We need to be mindful. I hope this information helps someone else

Hi I 've been getting calls from XXXX different companies stating i owe money from several payday loans i never even applied for. XXXX of them is highpoint assets XXXX thats their phone number. I spoke with them numerous times and told them that I never took out any loan of such kind. They stated it was XXXX different loans that round up too XXXX dollars. The agent told me what could i counter offer him and I was just in shock of what I had just found out. Never in my life have a ever taken out a payday loan and now 3 years later I get a phone call stating i took out XXXX payday loans from 2012. It just doesnt make sense to me. I told them to mail me a validation of debt letter, he said he could email it to me quicker, i said thats fine but i would still like to receive it by mail. Im still waiting on that. In the end i told them that i was going to the police to file an identity theft report because i know i never took out these loans. They said thats fine and to make sure to fax them the police report once its done. The second company that called me scared quite a bit. It was a guy named XXXX calling from XXXX XXXX XXXX. This guy was stating I took out XXXX different loans worth XXXX dollars and if i didnt take immediate action that i could be charged with bank fraud and have my drivers license suspended. He said that he could get rid XXXX of the loans and i would just have to pay XXXX dollars. I told him this is news too me, never in my life have i ever taken out a payday loan. I explained to him that i need this to be investigated because i know for a fact that someone has stolen my personal information. He said he would help with the investigation but that i would need to provide him with my debit card number that we could start our settlement and this wouldnt be taken to court. I feeling vulnerable and scared gave him my debit card number but after i did more info later that day i called my bank and had them cancel out my old card and supply me with a new one. I honestly dont know what to do. I know i never took out these loans. Should i file a police report for identity theft? Or should i just ignore these calls. I was stupid enough to give high point asset my current email and last XXXX of my social. I just want this to end. Its been an annoying month receiving calls from these people.

For the past month, I have been harassed over the phone by callers claiming to be from a company called Highpoint Asset. They claim they 're trying to collect a payday loan debt, but they have refused to provide me with a debt validation letter or any information about the original debt by mail. ( I took out some payday loans about 3 years ago, but those loans were all paid in full. ) On XXXX/XXXX/15 and XXXX/XXXX/15, I spoke with a representative who stated his name was " XXXX. '' He told me that he would mail written verification of the debt to me and I would receive it within 3-5 days ; I have never received it. He threatened me with legal action if I did not pay. The numbers that these callers have been calling from are : XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. The callers have also been calling my wife 's and my daughter 's cellphones, my sister-in-law 's cellphone, and my nephew 's cellphone. My wife has attempted to answer these calls to her cellphone, but when she is put on hold to speak with a representative, the phone is disconnected after about 1-2 minutes, so she has never been able to speak with an actual person. When I spoke with " XXXX '' on XXXX/XXXX/15, I told him to stop calling my wife 's and daughter 's cellphone numbers, and he stated that their phone numbers would be taken off my information ; however, my wife and daughter continued to get calls at least twice a day. When I spoke with " XXXX '' again on XXXX/XXXX/15, I told him that my wife and daughter were still getting phone calls, and he again said that their phone numbers would be taken off ; to this day, my wife and daughter continue to get phone calls on their cellphones. My family members and I have been receiving calls 1-2 times every day. My wife looked up the phone numbers that have been calling us, and was directed to public forum websites where numerous people have stated this company runs a payday loan scam. On XXXX of the forums, a person who said he was also harassed by Highpoint Asset stated that he researched the company and found an address for them : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX. He also stated that this address is the main business address for another company called XXXX XXXX , XXXX We have been informed that that XXXX XXXX has refused to provide any of their requisite operating information to the XXXX.

On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX I received numerous robotic voicemails on my cellphone, place of employment and residence from a company called High Point Asset Inc. located in XXXX, NY. I received another robotic call from this company today, Tuesday, XXXX XXXX this time I called them back. I spoke with a gentleman who identified himself a XXXX XXXX he alleged that I owed a payday loan from XX/XX/XXXX. I explained to XXXX XXXX that I never took a payday loan for that amount. I told him that if I continued to receive these calls I would report him to the AG 's office for the State of Maryland, I suspected that High Point Asset is not licensed in Maryland or the District of Columbia and he his response was " Yes we are. '' When I asked him to provide me with the business license number he said he would have to transfer me to the business " owner '' XXXX XXXX. He then transferred me to a XXXX XXXX who identified himself as the " Manager '' of High Point Asset Inc. Once again, I explained to XXXX XXXX that the payday loan debit that they were alleging I owed was not mine. I then asked XXXX XXXX what was the name of the company that he was collecting the debt for he stated XXXX. He said the file was transferred to him. I explained to him that I had never heard of XXXX. Just as I had XXXX XXXX, I asked XXXX XXXX for the business license in order to confirmed that they were licensed to operate in the XXXX and Maryland and his response to me was " I do n't have it on me. '' Really? Then I asked for an address in which that I could send a Cease & Desist letter and not a p.o. box number. At which time he stated that a Cease & Desist was placed on my phone numbers at XXXX something that morning. But refused to give me anything other than a p.o. box. I informed him that a Cease & Desist had to be in writing. I also informed XXXX XXXX that I was going to file a complaint with CFPB and with the FTC. He his response was " And I will respond to the complaint by saying we already did a cease and desist on your number. ''

I was called on my cell phone at XXXX and left a voicemail to call back ( XXXX ) because they " needed my statement since I was a person of interest ''. I called back at XXXX, phone rang at least XXXX times before a XXXX XXXX XXXX picked up. He advised me the call was an attempt to collect a debt and our call was being monitored. I proceeded to get the company information from XXXX XXXX. The collection company was called High Point Asset Inc. ( http : //highpointassetinc.com/ ) and they were calling about XXXX pay day loans taken out under my name, which he repeated back to me, my social security number, which he repeated back to me in whole, and my home address, again repeated back to me in whole. He advised of the dates the loans were taken out and the last XXXX of the checking account used, I advised XXXX XXXX I did not have then or now a XXXX XXXX account matching those numbers nor did I live at the current address when the earlier loans were supposedly taken out. XXXX XXXX was very warm to speak too, kind. He said he would forward me everything they had on my account so I could go through the proper channels to dispute the charges. We spoke for over 30 min and he even gave me his extension number ( XXXX ) for me to call back to update him on my findings. Everything seemed legit other than the fact I never took out any pay day loans. He gave specific dates and amounts and company names the loans came from. He did only email me one collection letter, but no validation of debt. I mentioned to him towards the end of my call that in my field of work we have a hallway of dedicated lawyers so as soon as he could send me information I was going to take to them for review, about that time he told me he had been on the call too long and would have follow up with me later. I have since been trying to research this collection company, but all I find is that it is a scam. I have since called all XXXX of my credit reporting agencies and flagged my social for fraud until I know further.

I recevied a call on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, stating that i owed on a payday loan from XXXX. The name of the company was High Point Asset. The customer service preson told me that I had an outstanding payday loan balance from XXXX that I did n't pay. I have taken out payday loans in the past, but they were always paid back via my bank account within weeks. The peron advised me that I owed XXXX and that it steams from the original amount of XXXX that I owed on the payday loan as it was purchased by different companies. The person told me that they have tried serveral times to draft this money from my bank account, but they stated that my bank account was closed. Which is true, I closed a bank account in XXXX of XXXX. They told them I have always paid my payday loans back and i have only had payday loans with the company XXXX XXXX XXXX. I do recall apply for a different loan with a different company, but I never completed the application. The person told me that it could be from that application. I did ask for proof of the debt, but was advised that the company tried to contact me via email and that they do n't contact people by regular mail. They also told me if that if i didn ; t accept the debt that they would put me as refusal to pay. I did tell them that I would pay the debt, although I do n't think that I did n't believe that I owed them any money. They wanted to set up a payment plan for me to pay just XXXX of the debt as they would knock off XXXX from it if i entered into a payment program. I did agree, but something didn ; t feel right, so I ended the call. No new banking information was given to them. I contacted my bank to pull my transaction records during this time period for verfication. I was told that if i went court with my bank reocrds it would not hold up in court because the funds could have been given to me in cash. I have never received a payday loan in cash before.

I have been receiving phone calls from a XXXX XXXX from High Point Asset. He claims he is a debt collection agency for a payday loan the went partially unpaid in 2010. He was unable to give me any additional information on the debt. He was n't even able to tell me who I owed the debt to, but insisted I pay him over the phone to avoid legal action. I told him I did not believe I owed any thing and would look for the missed payment in my bank records as payday loans are withdrawn electroniclly.He Said even if my bank records showed I paid the loan that was not enough proof. I also told him I needed paper work mailed to me proving that I owed the money. He stated he did n't have anything like that and the burden of proof was on me. He did email me a document ( he refused to mail anything ) that said I owed High Point Asset money but had no information about where the debt originated from. I feel very strongly that this is a scam and expressed this to XXXX XXXX. He continues to call myself, my husband and my parents ( I have not lived with my parents for more than 10 years and do n't know how he got their number ). I contacted the payday loan company that I had a loan with in 2010 and they said my debt was paid in full with no problems and cautioned me against giving High Point Asset any personal information. I have been contacted several times in regards to collecting a debt from me for a payday loan that I do not recall obtaining. This loan supposedly happened in 2013. I have never received any written documents in regards to this payday loan. For about a year now I have been receiving threatening phone calls from different numbers regarding this payday loan. The calls are coming to my home phone number and my cell phone number. When I ignore the calls it seems as though they come more frequently and more threatening. Also after ignoring the calls from one number for a while, the calls start coming from different numbers. These calls are becoming a nuisance and I would like for them to stop. These people are trying to get me to pay/settle on a loan that I do not remember and pretty sure that I have not taken out. I have a list of the different numbers that they have been calling me from as well as the different companys involved in the harassment. In my last contact with the company involved I obtained the name of one of their representatives. The companys involved are : Highpoint Asset, XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Phone numbers involved are XXXX, XXXX, & XXXX. I would greatly appreciated if these calls will stop!

I received threatening calls from a debt collector ( naming me as a " person of interest '' in a legal matter ). They claim I owe multiple lenders due to several payday loans that were sent to my banking institute from XXXX to XXXX. The company is called HIGH POINT ASSETS INC. They are calling on behalf of several lending entities that allegedly deposited funds into my bank account in {$400.00} increments ; totaling up to {$2600.00} over a period of two years. The representative asked me to verify the last XXXX digits of my SSN and my current mailing address, none of which did I provide. Instead I asked the caller to confirm what they already have on file and s/he gave me information that was over XXXX XXXX XXXX ( clearly the information was not active during time they are suggesting I took out the loans ). And to add insult to injury my place of employment as well as banking institution the " said '' funds were deposited was also incorrect/inactive. This company is operating under false pretenses -- an atypical SCAM artist to say the least. PLEASE do not verify your vital information with them, request that they send you something in writing before moving forward!!!

I received a phone call at my work number with an ominous sounding message containing XXXX legal language. Since I ca n't take personal calls at work, I waited until I got home to call the number back. I found out that this company also contacted XXXX my relatives. When i called the number back, XXXX verified the last XXXX digits of my SSN, had my address, but had an incorrect e-mail address. He gave me some spiel about XXXX loans that I owed, but could not provide me concrete information on who originally made the loan to me, when the loan was made, and basically any information to verify what the debt was. I have no idea what his call was about. Further, I asked if his company was licensed to collect debts and he said he did n't know. I asked for the address and he was originally evavise but provided me a XXXX. XXXX. I instructed him not to call my work or my relatives, and when I attempted to provide him the best number to contact me he said he did n't want it. He 's trying to scare me into paying something that he has no idea what it is and ca n't prove that I am legally obligated to pay. I want his company to never contact me, my work, or my relatives again.

I have been receiving phone calls on both my home phone and cell phone. I blocked the number from both, but they are still able to leave a voicemail on my cell phone. They are stating they need to know my whereabouts so they can serve me papers. They also claim I have XXXX hours to respond before they submit it to the court. It is the same XXXX second message everyday. It is clearly a robo call, and they claim they are calling from High Points Assets. The person never identifies himself. I did call them back well over a week ago. I asked the lady on the phone, " XXXX '' why was I not mailed a debt validation letter. She said she would submit it by email. I said that does not validate the debt. I then asked her what her physical address was, she said they only have a XXXX. XXXX, and they are in XXXX New York . I knew then they were definitely a scam. Since I contacted them, they have called every morning between XXXX & XXXX pacific time. I am tired of these scammers thinking they can bully people into paying a debt they do not owe. I get these calls constantly, and I want them to stop. The number that they continue to contact me with is XXXX.

I was contacted today by XXXX ( extension XXXX ) from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and advised that she was calling in an attempt to collect a debt. Knowing I have no accounts in collections or accounts with debts owned on my credit. I could only assume this involved the previous debts I disputing with High Point Assets in previous CFPB complaint XXXX and XXXX. XXXX confirmed the XXXX accounts had recently been purchased and wanted to know when I would be making payment. I advised the her company purchased fraudulent debt and the amount I was being accused of owing was already in dispute with the FTC and the XXXX, and issued her complaint numbers. She did not care. High Point Assets was never able to validate the debt they said I owed yet were able to sell this supposed debt to another agency. I humbly ask XXXX to break this cycle of buying and selling fraudulent debt and resolve this issue once and for all. In the mean time I will be issuing a certified letter to cease and desist communication attempts.

My husband got a call from High Point Assets inc, about some payday loans that I have n't aplly for or received any money from.When I tried to call the agency a lady with the name XXXX, talked to me with a very bad, rude attitude, and told me about those payday loans.And when I was trying to explain to her that I did n't apply for any of those loans, she was trying to interrupt me, like I was stupid and I did n't know what is going on.I also told her to send me by email those " creditors '', so I can see who are these people.They sent me XXXX pages with the pay day loans from XXXX through XXXX .First creditor is XXXX for {$510.00} dollars, second amount {$400.00}, XXXX is {$430.00} and the fourth amount is $ XXXX.They also are calling at my house phone and my husbund 's cell but not me that its my name on the papers.I did a little bit research, and it looks like they are artists scammers.I never took nor I apply for those payday loans and I despude ALL THE CHARGES

I have received numerous calls to my family members giving out my debt information and saying I 've committed a crime and I will be arrested at my job if they do not provide information. They have called me in the past and I have request several times for them to send me this information that I supposedly owe a debt. And advised that they can not provide to me that information in writing, I have it from when I originally opened the debt. They threaten to come to my work, home etc and arrest me if I do not pay an outrageous amount and if I do not comply they will press criminal charges against me. They will not provide me their information and when I keep pressing the issue, they get very vocal and use profanity and I end up hanging up on them. I advised them that I am on the DO NOT CALL list, but they proceed to keep calling my number and my family members. This has to stop and they need to be accountable for their tactics.

Many years ago I had a payday loan online, it was paid many years ago ( four or five years ago ) and a company claiming to be collecting a debt has been calling my phone, and my family 's phone relentlessly. When I researched the number that was calling there were many webpages stating that this was a phishing scam, in which companies take your social security number from old aggregate/loan sites and claim you owe money that they can extort by making all of these awful phone calls. I paid off the loans last year to a different collection agency. I have the release letters for the loans they are trying to collect on. I sent them to this company but they continue to harass me and now they are calling my cousin harassing her. My cousin has XXXX and she was very upset with theses calls. I receive numerous calls on my work line for debt for a XXXX XXXX. I have indicated I have had this phone number for almost 9 years and nobody by that name lives here, but I still get calls. The most recent is from High Point Asset and they are calling two to four times a day now. As stated, I use this line for work, and it is very disruptive.

An entity with phone number XXXX keeps calling my cell number XXXX. They call for " XXXX XXXX '' ( sp? ). I do not know any " XXXX XXXX '' and I have told that to the caller many times. Relatives have gotten phone calls from High Point Asset Inc saying that I used them as references which I never did and they are going to be held liable for payments.
