Called Hawthorn Recovery Services today, XX/XX/18. I told them I only owed XXXX because my original debt was paid XXXX dollars before they sent me to collections. I asked the drs office where the money went and they don't know. They won't give me my money back because they don't know what account it is in. I have disputed this with my bank and they have told me it can take 120 plus days to even get an answer! Mean while, I call Hawthorn recovery services tell them it is the wrong amount owed and i think it is unfair of me to pay right now. The debt collector tells me " well that's fine it will sitting in collections, lowering your credit score, and gaining interest '' might i add this is a medical bill! A medical bill gaining interest! Also the drs office agreed to give me 12 months to pay off my medical bill and only gave me 4 then sent me to collections!

The individual XXXX lied to me stating that the number he called was my personal number and only one listed he called me at work jeopardizing my job then would not stop and DEMANDED me give him my home phone number or he would keep calling my work number which means I'd get fired. He also admitted he has sent letters and i did not respond so he called this number. I am under NO obligation to respond to his letters.
