I opened an account with XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX of XXXX. When I opened the account with the branch manager XXXX XXXX, she reviewed the overdraft policy with me. In her description of the policy, she informed me that I would not be charged an overdraft if my account was overdrawn by XXXX dollars or less. In addition, I signed documents to enter into a program that would decline any transaction if the funds were not available in my account. Although the bank provided and an auto filled document to deny the enrollment to the program. I marked through the x on and initialed the change to enroll in the program. On the weekend of XXXX XXXX, XXXX, several transaction occurred on my account on different days. The transaction resulted in an overdraft on my account of {$5.00}. Due to the overdraft being over XXXX dollars, I thought I would be charged one {$36.00} fee. The bank charged {$36.00} for every transaction that took place that weekend despite the fact based on their policy my was actually only overdrawn XXXX cents. The total charges to my account was {$140.00} for XXXX cents. The bank purposely held all the transaction from that weekend the cause the overdraft on my account. All the transaction processed on XXXX. I am signed up for online banking and mail statement. I did not receive notification of the charges until XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. One of the transaction I was charged for was another financial institution completing a verification test on my account where the deposit some XXXX XXXX cents in my account and then took it out. The branch manager claims that a transaction that was made on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX never processed on XXXX. However, I received an email from the alert on card stating the transaction processed and requesting that I verify the transaction. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I went to the atm and check the balance on the account. The balance according to the atm was {$48.00}. I withdrew {$40.00}. When I found out about the overdraft, I attempted to clear my account by making a deposit on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. The refused to serve me in the drive thru line. I returned to the bank on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to make the deposit. Another charge of {$36.00} was applied to the account by XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I made several attempts to speak to the branch manager and the banks customer service line. I spoke to customer service on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Customer service explained the charges. She stated that the bank has the right to charge a {$36.00} for every transaction because that do n't process transactions on the weekend and account was overdrawn by on over {$5.00}. I informed her that this is not the information that I was told when I opened the account. She said they probably explained it wrong and informed me that this happens often. She agreed to waive one fee and informed me that I would have to speak to the branch manager for anything else. I went to bank on XXXX to speak to the branch manager. She was not there. I spoke to another rep. She listened to issue, offered no assistance, and advised me to return on XXXX to speak to the branch manager. I returned on XXXX, I waited an hour to speak to the branch manager. I received no assistance. I returned on XXXX, I waited for XXXX minutes. I was then able to speak to the branch manager, XXXX XXXX. She agreed to waive one fee. I discussed her misleading me with how the account actual worked. She denied it and stated I should keep better records. I showed he the record of the atm receipt showing the balance on my account. I showed her that email for the payment to XXXX XXXX processing. Apparently, none of the records provided by the bank were correct. I informed of the teller refusal to serve me on XXXX, she stated that she would review the tape and call me back that day. She did not call me back. At XXXX XXXX, I called her and left message on her voicemail. She did not return the call on XXXX, XXXX, or XXXX. I called her back on XXXX and XXXX. I left message with other reps both times. I returned to bank on XXXX and left a message in person. I called customer service back on XXXX after reviewing the original documents I signed when opening account. I reviewed the form I signed stating that if the money was not in my account to decline the transaction. I informed customer service of this. They stated that my account was never enrolled in the program. They enrolled me into the program that day. XXXX finally returned my call on XXXX. She never reviewed the tape. She refused to waive an other fees because it would require her to make notes on the account and do additional work. I questioned her about the program she never signed me up for. She insisted that it would n't have worked either and denied that she never set me up on the program. The next day I closed the account.

I have filed MULTIPLE complaints against this bank that is DELAYING AND DENYING me the ability to close my account and RUNNING UP FEES./ I told them to STOP sending me paper statements that they are charging me {$3.00} per month to send to me and they WILL NOT STOP SENDING THESE FEES NOR WILL THEY STOP CHARGING ME {$3.00} per month. I have requested MULTIPLE times to CLOSE the account and send the funds to my address. AGAIN, Hancock Whitney is demanding MORE HOOPS TO JUMP THROUGH demanding that I appear in branch. I can not. So Hancock Whitney is demanding that I send a signed letter confirming my current address and a copy of my driver 's license. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I have requested this MULTIPLE TIMES and FILED MULTIPLE CFPB cases to get my money and all they are doing is delaying and denying and making me jump through hoops. I was told multiple times there was NO OTHER WAY TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT and that I had to appear in person, which I can not. Now after months of telling me I could not send a letter or a fax they are now saying that I have to send a letter. AND STILL THEY ARE CHARGING ME FEES FOR THE PAPER STATEMENTS I HAVE ASKED TO NOT SEND ME TO NOT CHARGE ME. Hancock Whitney is a crooked bank that refuses to stop sending me statements and is charging me {$3.00} per month though I requested for this paper statement to stop being sent and thus STOP CHARGING me. Hancock Whitney will not stop charging me and will not stop sending these paper statements. I want a refund of all the fees they have charged me since they started to send them to me UNWANTED. This is a junk fee that they said I could avoid IF I APPEAR IN PERSON AT THE BANK. This crooked bank is vindictive and nobody should ever have to go through all the lies and XXXX this bank spews. Hancock Whitney did NOT send me a new debit card and so I could NOT use it. I could NOT get a new debit card because they locked my account. And they kept telling me to appear in the bank. I can not and they gave runaround after runaround. This is the 3rd CFPB filing I have done on Hancock Whitney because all they are doing is trying to grab more of my money and charge me more money at XXXX XXXX/month. This bank is the most unethical bank. They are vindictive and refuse to stop charging avoidable fees. I could avoid the fees IF I had a debit card and I can't get a debit card because they locked my account. Hancock Whitney has created their perfect situation of just draining your account. You can avoid the $ XXXX/month fee IF you use your debit card but I can't get an unexpired debit card because they locked my account. It is total XXXX that and they are draining my account at {$13.00} each month. They refuse to stop charging me for paper statements. I have requested this multiple times. And they will not stop sending me paper statements and they will not stop charging me for paper statements. This bank should have their banking license revoked. They are crooked. NEVER EVER EVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH HANCOCK WHITNEY. THEY WILL XXXX YOU AROUND AND MAKE YOU APPEAR IN BRANCH FOR EVERYTHING WHEN THEY KNOW YOU CAN NOT. Hancock Whitney will go out of their way to make sure that you can not get your money and will play delay and deny games and will flat out lie to you. Since XXXX I have been trying to close my account. Hancock Whitney said the only way to close the account is to appear in branch. They denied there was any other way to close the account and would not tell me of any other way until I got a letter dated XX/XX/2023, It was postmarked XX/XX/2023 and was not received in my mail box until XX/XX/XXXX. They literally waited a week before they sent the letter. They also included in the letter their first response to my first CFPB complaint which was dated XX/XX/2023 and they NEVER SENT ME THIS LETTER. In the letter they said I could access my funds with a debit card but they would not send me a new debit card because they locked my account and the only way to unlock it was to appear in branch. The games this bank is playing. I can't get them to stop sending me paper statement at {$3.00} each because they locked my account and have to appear in person in branch. I can't get a new debit card to withdraw funds because they locked my account and have to appear in branch. I can not even ACH pull from my Hancock Whitney account from any other bank because they locked my account and they suspended my Online Banking because they required PROOF of two external accounts I was adding to my account when they made me re enroll. This bank should not be allowed to operate. They are unethical and should have their licensing revoked.

Im a victim of bank fraud that led to a XXXX missed payment being posted on my credit report causing my score to drop more than XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX I received an incoming call from Hancock Whitney Bank from the number ( XXXX ) XXXX. The customer representative informed me that the debit card linked to my bank account had been used at a location several states away and looked suspicious. We confirmed that it wasnt me who used or authorized the use of the card and that someone had stolen my card information and was fraudulently using it. I was informed by the representative that a new card would be sent out within XXXX ( XXXX ) business days. My card was cancelled and a replacement card was sent out on XX/XX/XXXX. The new card arrived and I proceeded to change the automatic bill payments that I had linked to my account before the theft by fraud occurred. XXXX of my accounts that I had linked to the stolen debit card had a monthly payment to XXXX XXXX of {$6.00} coming out of it every month between the XXXX. The XX/XX/XXXX payment was declined due to the fact the bank had cancelled the card due to fraud. I had other payment accounts linked to the bank but the payment didnt automatically go to the second payment method and I was hit with a XXXX missed payment late fee in XXXX and a credit monitoring app alerted me that my score had dropped XXXX + points because of a XXXX missed late charge. It was the XX/XX/XXXX {$6.00} monthly fee to XXXX XXXX that was missed due to the XX/XX/XXXX theft cancellation. ( The auto-payment set up for the monthly payment came from the stolen debit card ) I called XXXX XXXX and informed them that my card had been stolen before the due date and requested that they take the XXXX missed payment off my credit report. They told me to get the information from Hancock Whitney Bank and send it to them and the Credit Bureaus so they could assist me. This is where the major problems begin. I contacted Hancock Whitney Bank on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX at their XXXX number. I was on the phone for XXXX ( XXXX ) minutes explaining to them that I need the information regarding the fraud on my account so I could submit it to the credit bureaus and my cc company. The Hancock bank XXXX representative told me to call the local bank because they were not able to help me. The next day, on the XXXX of XXXX at XXXX I called the local branch at XXXX. During the XXXX ( XXXX ) minute conversation they informed me that a local branch would not be able to help me and instructed me to call the XXXX number for assistance. I did so. I called the XXXX helpline again at XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to beg for assistance. I was on the line for XXXX minutes. The help line representative told me that they could not assist me and connected me to another local branch at XXXX. I spoke with the XXXX local bank representative and informed her of the information I needed sent to me in order to correct my situation. She told me to come to the bank in order to get the information. I informed her that I lived more than XXXX hours away from the bank and that it would be impossible to travel more than XXXX hours just to pick up the information. She connected me to the XXXX XXXX. I explained the situation to the XXXX XXXX again. He told me he would see what he could do and call me back with a solution. That was on XX/XX/XXXX. I did not hear back from him. I called again XXXX ( XXXX ) days later on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX at the XXXX. He wasnt available. He called me back at XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I explained the situation again and reminded him that he was suppose to call me back days ago with a solution. He told me that he would need to talk to another XXXX to see what he could do for me and that he would call me back. He never did. XXXX ( XXXX ) days later and I still havent heard anything from anybody at the bank so XXXX writing you for assistance. I need information about the cc fraud and the cancellation of the card due to it so I can prove that it was the cause of the missed payment so that my credit can be corrected.

1. XXXX XXXX did not address the fact that different terms were courteously provided to me at the time of opening the account. 2. XXXX XXXX has produced different information in her XXXX response letter than what was given by XXXX XXXX at the XXXX XXXX Branch : XXXX stated that XXXX was used in determining which account to give me. This is not what the personal banker XXXX XXXX suggested. Described in my original complaint but unaddressed in XXXX XXXX response is that I was advised the account was temporary because of my NEW state residency status and NEW customer status at the time of the account application. False pretenses. My XXXX was there at the time and can witness to the dialogue. The issue isn't particularly MXXXX XXXX, but XXXX XXXX statements 3. Account conversion eligibility requirements were abbreviated toXX/XX/XXXX ( for accounts in good standing ) or whenever I could make it into the branch thereafter, but XXXX is enforcing alternative terms providing for up to one year. 4. XXXX is " blaming the victim '' as she castigates me in her XX/XX/XXXX letter stating " ... [ Y ] ou qualified for ourXX/XX/XXXX product. You accepted our offer and opened account number ending in [ XXXX ] on XX/XX/XXXX. '' The banking product offer was " accepted '' under false pretenses as it was not shared with me that the decision was XXXX-motivated. Had I known THEN, I'd have gathered my documents and gone to a different bank altogether for an application. I was under the impression that it is an internal system determination for common new customers, not consumer-reporting agency stigmatization. Please note that the account was said not to be able to incur nsf FEES in order to qualify. There were none. The semantics changes the entire meaning of the information being conveyed then and now. The issue was originally attempted to be resolved through the XXXX with the bank. The results were unsatisfactory. Below is the original complaint : I originally opened an account the summer of XX/XX/XXXX. I was assisted by XXXX XXXX who advised the XXXX XXXX account ( basically, a training-wheels checking account. ) She did not explain why other than me being new to the state of Louisiana and not having any history there. I knew my XXXX report and XXXX were CLEAN because I had checked them prior to my relocation as I had only just suffered identity theft. I assumed that there wasn't a financial reason for only being offered the XXXX XXXX account. I was advised by XXXX XXXX at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. branch that provided I maintained positive history ( without NSF fees ) through the end of the year, she would aid me by making the switch to a " normal '' customer account. I re-visited the branch XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXX XXXX ( the soonest that I had time ) and I noticed she was not at the desk. So, I stood in the centre of the lobby hoping that she would come out. I stood for a substantial amount of time without being greeted by the teller at the counter. Incidentally, she was amicably conversing with a police officer ( XXXX male approx XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) who was leaning over the counter on a cellular phone reciting numbers to her. When she noticed me standing out there, she spoke to me and I explained why I was there. She assured me that she would be able to assist me. I approached the counter and proceeded accordingly. The teller input my credentials into her computer and LOUDLY, and RUDELY blurts out that I am " ineligible ... due to 19-overdrafts. '' The young lady took no consideration to my privacy whatsoever. I found her behaviour to be highly disdainful. I have had direct deposit consistently since mid-XX/XX/XXXX, and even entrusted Whitney Bank with my TSP Federal Retirement Withdrawal disbursement. I'm unsure as to whether the details in opening the account were mis-communicated, but whatever the case, my experience was definitely less-than-desirable.

Around XX/XX/2018, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX, The Senior Vice President ( Emerging Payments ), of XXXX/Whitney Bank at my current address. The letter stated I would receive a new chip-enabled debit card for my personal checking account. It said to update the new card along with the new pin number. If I have any questions I should call XXXX. or to visit the nearest XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . On XX/XX/2018, at XXXX XXXX, I decided to call XXXX XXXX bank at the number that was provided to find out if the new card was en route to me or if it was ever mailed. The Bank Agent ( name Unknown ), I talked to said the new debit card was mailed to my old address. I explained to her why would my debit card get mailed to my old address when I received the letter from the bank at my current mailing address? She had no answer to the question. She said my old address was showing up in the system. I preceded to update my home address with her. She stated she was canceling the debit card that was sent out and I would need to go into a Whitney Bank to order a new one within 30 days. On XX/XX/2018 at about XXXX XXXX, I went into the XXXX XXXX Bank located at XXXX XXXX XXXX. in XXXX La.. Ms. XXXX XXXX is a financial Services Specialist greeted me and asked what brought me in on that day? I explained to her I came in to get my new debit card to my personal accounts ordered. I showed her the letter I received from Whitney bank. She preceded to obtain my personal info to look up my account. She then stated three cards were just issued out. I asked her where and who were the cards issued too? She said she don't know. She then showed her computer screen to me and all I saw was a bunch of numbers on the screen. I couldn't identify anything on the screen. Ms. XXXX didn't identify when, who, or any dates the cards was issued out nor did she identify any information to those transactions. At this point I reached her my current debit cards to both of my personal accounts and my personal drivers license. She preceded to typing on her computer system which took more than 15 minutes. Once she was done I asked her when would I receive the cards? She really didn't want to answer the question. She was very quiet nor did she seem interested in serving me as a customer. She even failed to issue my drivers license back to me until I left the building. After I went on to continue my activities for the day. I decide to stop at another location and when I tried to pay for my purchase using my debit card. My bank debit card was declined. I gave the attendant another bank debit card and It was declined. After I was done there I decided to call Ms. XXXX while I'm at the retail location. I explained to her my cards were declined and I could not make purchases. I asked her if she canceled my debit cards? and she said Yes. And really didn't show any emotion to what she did. I told her she would need to issue temporary cards to me in place of the cards she has canceled because I won't have any access to my funds. She then had the nerve to ask was I located near another Whitney Bank. I told her No and I was coming back to her. When I arrived it took her more than 20 minutes this time just to assign the temporary cards to my accounts. She pretend she was having issues with her system. She was unfair in how she handled the situation as a Financial Service Specialist, And unfair in how she handled me as a customer. I have experienced inconsistency and unprofessional customer support from XXXX/Whitney bank on several occasions. I don't appreciate relying on Financial support specialist or any type of support that don't put their customers first. It's a waste of time. I'm not sure if my issue has been resolved because I'm waiting to receive my new debit cards and I really don't know if my contact information is saved in their system. It seems no one want to do their job with the company.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I XXXX XXXX the consumer-defined in XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) used a remittance coupon to pay an obligation due on XX/XX/XXXX, to Hancock Whitney Bank in the amount of {$1900.00}. Hancock Whitney Bank is a XXXX Bank as defined in XXXX CFR XXXX ( i ). Furthermore, the periodic statement, specified where to send remittance payment coupons and payments too. The address XXXX XXXX provided on the statement is CREDIT CARD CENTER XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, GA XXXX. A green receipt or certified mail was sent with the remittance coupon and my form of payment as an extra precaution. I, the consumer received another periodic statement that showed the remittance coupon was never credited to my account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I, the consumer submitted another remittance coupon for a balance of {$1400.00} to credit my account again due to a Hancock Whitney representative telling me my payment was never received. Hancock Whitney Bank never credited any of my accounts and I have proof showing that all my payments were delivered to the Banks correct P. O. Box. I gave Hancock Whitney Bank the proper instruction if the negotiable instrument was dishonored, my response to let them know they needed to send back the payment along with a detailed explanation, point for point explaining why the instrument did not satisfy any claim associated with the said account in accordance with GAAP as well as U.C.C. Article 3. Also, within the letter, I put notice of billing error 12 CFR 1026.13 ( 3 ) ( 4 ) ( 5 ) Hancock Whitney Bank never credited my account nor bother to answer my inquiry. The Bank has not sent me the Money Order that was sent with the remittance coupon, they kept it. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent another remittance coupon for a balance of {$5000.00} to apply to my account which was never credited. Lastly on XX/XX/XXXX, I, the consumer sent another remittance coupon in the amount of {$10000.00} for the amount due balance according to the periodic statement sent to the consumer. On XX/XX/XXXX, I, the consumer received an abusive and obscene threatening letter from Hancock Whitney Bank stating they received my payment and we will not credit the same to your debt. We further reject any suggestion that your obligation has been discharged and will continue to hold XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX responsible for compliance with the terms loan documents for payment of the amount owed. Hancock Whitney Bank went on to threaten the consumer to close the accounts in 10 days or they would close the account on my behalf unwillingly! According to 12 CFR 226.4 the consumer is only supposed to pay the finance charge which is the sum of all charges. Finally with 12 CFR 226.14 determination of annual percentage rate which Hancock Whitney Bank is charging me another amount to pay for the obligation of the account. I, the consumer am paying more than Im supposed to and demand Hancock Whitney Bank to refund the consumer any interest according to 15 U.S.C. 1615 since the opening of all the consumer accounts with the bank. XXXX U.S.C 411 Insurance to reserve banks ; nature of obligation ; redemption explain this type of obligation shall be redeemed in lawful money on demand at the treasury department of United States. I, the consumer want the CFPB to display this complaint about the public to see the abusive and deceptive practices Hancock Whitney Bank has been doing to consumers, in addition, I would also like for the CFPB to make Hancock Whitney credit my account paid in full and to refund all funds I have overpaid back to me the consumer. I never received any of the payments back from Hancock Whitney therefore it is safe to say that the Bank indeed used the Remittance and Negotiable Instrument to discharge the debt they allege I owe. Since they kept the payment, my account should be credited the full amount for every money order I sent to Hancock Whitney.

We opened a construction loan with Hancock Bank ( a division of Whitney Bank ) to build a new house in XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX our house is still not complete because the bank is not requiring the builder ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to adhere to the draw schedule set forth in the builders agreement. We had a draw schedule in our builders agreement which set forth specific goals that would be met during the construction process before the builder would be allowed reimbursement by the bank. Neither the bank nor the builder is following the draw schedule which has allowed a '300 day completion ' for the house per the builders agreement to balloon into over 900 days from contract signing without a completed house. From the very beginning of the process the bank allowed the builder to draw more money than allowed per the builders agreement. The initial down payment at closing should have been XXXX % but the bank gave the builder XXXX %. It took the builder 7 months after getting XXXX % from the bank to get building permits for the house. There are no penalties or completion date in the building agreement so the only schedule that had any deadlines or accountability to it was the draw schedule. The builder would be required to complete a certain portion of the house before being reimbursed by the bank. The builders agreement had XXXX draws in it. The bank has already allowed XXXX draws and the house is not complete. The bank has undermined that schedule by allowing the builder to break down the draw schedule into a percentage completion draw schedule. The bank has paid for as little as XXXX % work completed. On average the builder is completing XXXX % per month and being reimbursed regularly by the bank. I have objected to this from the beginning but when I refused to sign the XXXX % draw schedule the builder stopped work completely. Allowing the percentage completion draw schedule without a completion date or penalties has allowed the builder to take as long as he wants to finish the house. He has no money on the table. If he spends {$100.00} the bank reimburses him. The bank has been pro builder from the very beginning. It 's like the old days where the bank and builder get together and the consumer is left to fend for themselves against XXXX professional firms who know how to game the system. I was treated harshly from the Sr mortgage construction officer saying there was nothing the bank could do and that 'this was my guy, I picked the builder not the bank. I needed to work it out with the builder '. But again, when I asked the bank to abide by the draw schedule in the builders agreement, they would n't do it. I also told the builder I wanted to abide by the builders agreement and they refused saying the bank was willing to pay on a percentage completion basis and they would refuse to work until I agreed to percentage completion. I 'm caught in this vicious circle where I ca n't get my house completed. I have a 15 year mortgage with the first 12 months as the construction period where I pay interest only. The construction period began XX/XX/XXXX, which is now 2 years 2 months of interest only and the fixed portion of my mortgage is reduced to 12 years 10 months to pay off the entire mortgage balance-subject to house completion date. The bank set up one meeting with the builder in XX/XX/XXXX after I told the bank I was going to file a complaint with the CFPB. After that meeting the bank sent one follow up email last week after I reminded the bank that the builder said the house would be completed by XX/XX/XXXX. The builder called for another inspection last week and the house was another XXXX % complete ( since XX/XX/XXXX, averaging XXXX % per month for the last three months ) for a total completion of XXXX %. The bank paid the draw. At this pace, it will be another 3 months before the house is complete

I have had a small checking account with Whitney Bank for about five years which I formerly used to cash checks when I came to visit XXXX XXXX from my home in XXXX ; normally I kept a balance of {$250.00} to avoid a monthly service fee. Account statements are only available online and I rarely logged into my account because I rarely used the account. I HAVE NOT WRITTEN A CHECK ON THIS ACCOUNT IN OVER 6 MONTHS ; MY ATM CARD WAS SURRENDERED TO A BANK OFFICER. Timeline : XXXX XXXX, 2016 I left XXXX and spent the month of XXXX in XXXX XXXX area while my house in XXXX was for sale. My mail was sporadically forwarded to me during that period. XXXX XXXX, 2016 Having received some of my mail from XXXX, I realized that there was a problem with my account, so I went to the Whitney branch on XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX and spoke to XXXX XXXX. She filed a formal dispute of the erroneous charges on my account and gave me a receipt to certify that my debit card was closed as of XXXX/XXXX/16, however, subsequent debit card billing charges have appeared on my account since that date. XXXX XXXX, 2016 A charge labeled " ATM '' appeared on my statement. Apparently someone used my debit card ( that was closed on XXXX/XXXX/16 ) for cash at an ATM. I WAS NEVER ISSUED A REPLACEMENT DEBIT CARD ALTHOUGH XXXX XXXX PROMISED ME ONE WOULD BE MAILED TO MY TEMPORARY XXXX XXXX ADDRESS XXXX, 2016 I rolled my wheelchair into the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX branch and met with XXXX XXXX. I carried with me a self-prepared spreadsheet analysis of my account, along with copies of documentation to show that my ATM card was " closed '' but still being used. I also gave XXXX my new home address in XXXX and he appeared to be changing it on his computer as I sat there next to him. XXXX studied my spreadsheet and stated that my balance should be about {$140.00} positive, not ( {$77.00} ) overdraft as shown on bank records. He referred me BACK to XXXX XXXX and also XXXX XXXX, to correct the problem. I was not able to resolve the issue with either XXXX of them. XXXX XXXX, 2016 Having tried unsuccessfully to login to my online account, a call to their website XXXX help number landed me with a collections person ( XXXX in XXXX ) who informed me that my account had been closed. When asked she refused to tell me the date it was closed and referred me to their legal department. I typed a letter ( attached ) to the President of Whitney Bank, XXXX XXXX, asking for the help of his office to straighten out this problem, however, the fax number listed by the XXXX for his office turned out to be a wrong number. XXXX XXXX, 2016 I called a branch bank of Whitney Bank and asked for the phone number of XXXX XXXX, however, it turns out I was given the number of his brother, XXXX XXXX, who in turn gave me XXXX XXXX ' direct number. I called XXXX XXXX and told him I had a problem, had chronicled the issues in a letter and asked for the help of his office ; when asked if he would prefer email or fax, he gave me his email address XXXXXXXXXXXX. To date I have received no response from XXXX XXXX or his office. XXXX XXXX, 2016 I sent a dispute letter ( attached ) to Whitney Bank by certified mail asking for a journal of my account from XXXX XXXX, 2016 to XXXX XXXX, 2016 XXXX XXXX, 2016 As of this date, no written correspondence or accounting ledger of my account to justify the Whitney Bank 's alleged {$180.00} outstanding balance has been received by me from the Whitney Bank. CONCLUSION : I checked today ; I am still locked out of online access to my account. I have no problem paying {$180.00}, and will do so immediately if it is my debt, but quite frankly, I feel as if I am a victim of a legal EXTORTION scheme, and I suspect there are others like me out there being scammed.

On XX/XX/XXXX, at about XXXX XXXX. I went into the XXXX/Whitney Bank located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to request a new debit card with my married name applied to it because I still have the debit card with just my maiden name on it. She asked for my license, bank account number, XXXX XXXX printed paperwork from the transaction and I signed the documents. She stated for me to wait seven to ten business days and I should receive my card in the mail. On XX/XX/XXXX, I went into the XXXX XXXX to inform XXXX XXXX I have n't received my card. She went into the computer system after verifying my account information and stated my new debit card was ordered and I should have received it. She asked did I receive my pin #? I replied with yes. It 's the pin I have to my present debit card. She asked me to give it some more time because it had n't been seven to ten business days. She also told me to call her, I do n't have to come in and reached her business card to me. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from my husband stating he was having a problem with his debit card, could n't get any money off his card, he did n't have any money and needed to get gas for his car. He stopped at the Whitney bank on XXXX XXXX because this is our regular bank. I immediately rushed to meet my husband because he had a XXXX XXXX engagement to attend. When I finally got to the bank at about 13 minutes before closing, he explained the teller says to him your card locked up because of an unknown transaction. She canceled his card and he was issued a temporary debit card. And has to wait three to five business days. While I was inside the bank I saw XXXX XXXX and walked over and greeted her. I explained I still have n't received my card. She really did n't know who I were. She asked for my account number. She look inside my checking account. She then asked me about a {$10.00} transaction in my account. There was n't anything wrong with the transaction. She did n't get any alert. She was violating my rights asking about my transaction. It was a small donation I make to a non profit every month. I felt she was extremely rude, unprofessional, and noisy. I 'm asking her about the debit card I never received. She then says to me your entire name ca n't fit on the card. I was totally Shocked. I asked her to please elaborate? She said all of your name wo n't fit onto the debit card because a few letters were missing from my last name. I pulled out my social security card with my entire name spelled on it and said to her this is what it should look like. I pulled out several other cards with my entire name spelled correctly on them and she took a close look. And her statement was your entire name wo n't fit on the card with a smirk on her face. She ordered another card so she told me. So now I 'm waiting for a card That was suppose to have been ordered since XX/XX/XXXX, and another debit card that was ordered on XX/XX/XXXX. My husband is also waiting on another debit card because his card was cancelled. Me and my husband are going to do business elsewhere. Because this is very unprofessional, and a waste of time. On XX/XX/XXXX, I visited the XXXX XXXX website and saw a publicly available page on the bank 's website advertising a promotion for opening a checking account and meeting certain criteria. That website is, at the time of my signing up and at the time of writing this complaint, still accessible online and publicly available. The site says, " Earn up to {$400.00} with a new checking and savings account ... .must meet criteria - see below. '' Upon looking below the headline, in the middle section of the site it says : " Choose which offer is right for you. Here 's how : 1. Enter your email address on the form, and we'll send you a promo code. 2. Bring the promo code to your nearest financial center. 3. Open your account ( s ) and complete qualifying activities. '' While going through the sign up process, I had issues with the website and the signup process. On XX/XX/18, I called the support line to make sure everything was set up properly with the account. While on the phone, I decided to double check that the promo code was applied properly and asked the phone representative to check for me. The representative had to speak with XXXX XXXX 's back office employees, but shared two pieces of news to me. 1. I was not eligible to receive this promotion because according to the back office it was only for people who received a flyer in the mail and it was not for residents of Texas 2. It is illegal in Texas for a bank to give a bonus greater than {$150.00} Point # 2 appeared to be an outright lie from my perspective, because I have seen many advertisements in the branches of other banks in XXXX advertising bonuses greater than {$150.00}. Point # 1 was news to me, because the site only says to enter your email address to receive a promo code for this bonus. Additionally, the site does not make any mention anywhere of specific states that are eligible, and does not specifically say that Texas residents are not eligible. When I disputed these points on the phone, I was instructed to go into a physical branch and I would be taken care of. I promptly drove to a branch 10 minutes from my location, and spoke with XXXX XXXX about the issue. She repeated the same lines to me as the phone representatives did, except she added that the promotional code came from a third party. I flatly objected to that assertion, because the process to receive a promo code for this offer is by using a page that is publicly available on the XXXX XXXX website at XXXX XXXX XXXX In my experience, when promotional offers are targeted to specific people, they receive a unique code in the mail. However, for this promotion a code can be received by anyone accessing this publicly available site. The site is quite clear that a promo code is required to receive the promotional offer, and that to receive a promo code one simply needs to request one by entering their email. The promo code form also asks you to enter your zipcode when requesting the promo code, so the bank was certainly aware that I was a Texas resident when I requested a promo code and before I signed up, yet the bank still sent me a promo code and allowed me to create a checking account. During the sign up process, there is even a box for you to enter the promo code and a button that says " verify promo code. '' I used this button and did not receive any errors or messages saying I was not eligible.

Please accept this formal complaint against Hancock Whitney Bank headquartered at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX MS XXXX. This bank is engaged in unlawful practices and predatory lending which undermines the financial sanctity of our society. I am a victim of Hancock Whitney Banks unethical, immoral, and illegal handling of me as a former customer as outlined in this missive. I pray that you investigate and take all appropriate action in this matter. The above subject matter is in reference to an unfair and erroneous reporting for Account Number XXXX in which Hancock Whitney served as a lender and as I the borrower. On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a XXXX XXXX of unspecified VIN Number from XXXX XXXX, the Original Seller, of address XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, LA XXXX. As it turned out, the car had several manufacturing defects. Despite my requests to have it fixed sometime in XX/XX/XXXX, the dealership refused to heed to my plea. This is even though I had in place an extended warranty bought in XX/XX/XXXX through the Hancock Whitney Bank which also happens to be the bank through which I was financing the transaction using the abovementioned account number. Since the dealership refused to fix the car, which was in breach of our agreement, I had no other option but to stop the payments. Consequently, the bank repossessed the car on XX/XX/XXXX, and sold it to another buyer in XX/XX/XXXX without any notice given to me, in contravention of the law. Since then, I have continued to bear the financial burden of a vehicle that was repossessed by the bank because of their erroneous and unfair credit reporting. Under Louisiana Revised Statutes Tit. 10, 9-611 ( 2017 ) and State RISA and MVISA statutes, a deficiency can not be claimed unless all of the required notices were properly and timely given, and all of the allowable redemption and cure time limits were adhered to. On the other hand, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 602 ( 15 U.S.C. 1681 ) provides that the banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate reporting since inaccurate credit reports directly impair the efficiency of the banking system while unfair credit reporting methods undermine the public confidence. It is based on their continued unfair and erroneous reporting of the above named account and their contravention of the above laws that I have written to them in the past, including a letter addressed to the Bank on XX/XX/XXXX, which was returned to me as not deliverable. In the letter, I specifically requested that Hancock Whitney investigate as outlined in 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 and demanded a full account validation and requested that pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statutes Tit. 9. 3571.1, the validation be in the form of a notarized statement with a person with the knowledge of the debt. Additionally, I requested that Hancock Whitney Bank send me an explanation of the methods used, and the description of the records reviewed in the process of the investigation. All my efforts proved futile because of their refusal and/or failure to accept my letters requesting proofs.

Over time from then until now, I have been in contact with the Branch Manager, XXXX XXXX, on many occasions to request assistance with helping my account not get NSF charges. I have been a customer with XXXX XXXX for some time now. I have made substantial deposits in the past, one deposit equaling up to $ XXXX with no issues. I have had no problems or issues. On XX/XX/2022 my employer mailed a check to my office, for me with my name on it to deposit for a XXXX party. I used XXXX XXXX mobile deposit like I have done in the past. I left from work which is time away from working to handle this. When I arrived at the bank XXXX XXXX the branch manager told me he didnt know what was going on from what he say the check wasnt fraudulent he was unaware as to why they would freeze my funds. Then, he proceeded to say my account had been closed. I asked him why is that? He wasnt sure. I asked him well sir I have over $ XXXX in both the savings and checkings can I just get my funds out of my account until youll figure out whats going on with the check. He told me they could not release any of my funds to me as my balance was at a {$0.00} on both accounts. I told him that isnt right. I asked for my money he told me there was nothing he could do. Fast forward two hours of me sitting in the parking lot of the bank I called my company and notified them of what happened. My company informed me that the check had cleared from their XXXX account on XX/XX/2022. The same day I deposited it. So why would they close my account without having any access and not even being called about what was going on if they cared or was conernced it couldve been suspicious activity. I recently wrote to Hancock Whitney Bank, via certified mail, requesting the deletion of the following account : Account Number : XXXX, and I would like for you to have a copy of this document as well. ( See attached ). I would also like to initiate a dispute with you in efforts to finally remedy this situation once and for all. Hancock Whitney bank continues to falsely verify this account whenever I dispute this item with the Credit Reporting Agencies, -as well as yourself, the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau , -whom is a government entity. Hancock Whitney bank, has stated to all parties. -the Credit Reporting Agencies , The Consumer Finance Protection Bureau , and myself, on multiple occasions, that the information in which they are reporting is verified as accurate. Whitney Hancock changed my checking/savings account without my permission and then stated that I no longer needed to have an account balance to avoid fees. I have been downloading my account activity through XXXX and there should be no activity because this is a savings account. XXXX shows my account as it should be. I was charged and sent a paper account statement and it showed that I had been incurring $ 10 monthly fees AND the bank also charged me {$3.00} for the paper account statement that I did NOT request. I downloaded from quicken and there was nothing showing these charges. I logged in and found that I had to reregister even though my XXXX has been logging in all this time. I got in my account and saw all these $ 10 monthly charges! I never wanted this account. It is a savings account. I have been TRYING to get my money out of my account and the bank will not activate my account and furthermore, after speaking with the most rude and vindictive person, the woman literally locked me out of my own account and I can not get access back. I am not going to show up in person. I want my money and have been trying to pull it from other banks but it keeps being denied. The bank will NOT unlock my account and are seizing my assets at {$10.00} per month and now charging me and additional {$3.00} a month to show me they are taking my money with all these junk fees. This is going to continue because the female employee that I spoke with is vindictive and locked my account and nobody has the power or will help me get my account unlocked. The employee not only locked my account but she put it into dormant status. And if they send my money to the State of Texas then I will have to pay 10 % of the total to get my money back. Whitney Bank is a horrible bank and they need to be punished for their illegal behavior. I want my money. I don't want my account locked and then made dormant by a vindictive bank employee and there has to be someone that can help. I am at my wits end dealing with these horrible people and their runaround. I want ALL these junk fees reimbursed and I want ALL my money and I want to get my money out before closing this account. Whitney bank should not be allowed to be in business. They make up junk fees, change your account type and charge you all kinds of fees to slowly eat at your balance and they are vindictive and will NOT do anything to help you get your money or close your account but they will do everything to be vindictive and make it even more difficult for you to get your money. I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX, on XX/XX/2019, and was in a car accident on XX/XX/2019, ( making my 1st payment not due until XX/XX/2019, which was after the accident ). My car was deemed a total loss in XXXX and although I technically wasn't responsible for any payments following the accident, I was told by my GAP insurance, to still make the payment so that my account doesn't default, and that I would get that payment back, because my account will reflect as being over paid after they pay off the loan. Hancock and XXXX XXXX came to an agreement early on, when the guarantee of title was discussed, so after that, it was beyond my control of what their policies and procedures were. I do know that it typically takes 30 days to resolve a total loss claim, and I had no desire in paying more than 1 payment for a vehicle that I barely had a month and could no longer use, especially for {$660.00}. I do believe that if I wasn't so hands on with my account, the claim would still be ongoing. I can show emails to support this as well. I have been calling Hancock every week, sometimes several days per week since the very beginning, up until sometime last week about this issue. I also went into a branch to see if someone could explain to me in person where my money had gone, and like everyone else, she couldn't even tell me. I made 1 payment in the amount of {$660.00} and I have yet to receive any of it back. The payoff amount before GAP made any payments because there were 2, was {$7000.00}, which I have several documents to support this. From what I can see, apparently, 1 of the payments from GAP were reversed and made into a regular payment instead of a curtailment like the other payment, and charged interest. By doing this, it ate up the payment I made out of pocket, and they kept it. When I saw the payments from GAP in my account, I called Hancock to discuss the overpayment at that time, and one of the reps told me to call back in a few days when my account has updated. When I tried to view my account prior to calling, I could log in, but it had been wiped clean. Luckily for me, I had printed it before they deleted everything! I have been stressed dealing with the aftermath of the accident alone, and now I am beyond stressed for what is actually mine! My credit has suffered as a result of this entire mess, and I am out of money that I did not have to pay and I'm hearing that I should not have paid if they knew my vehicle was totaled and I had GAP insurance in place! I spoke to 2 supervisors ( XXXX and XXXX ). I never received a call back from XXXX and XXXX has stopped responding.

I currently have a home Mortgage with XXXX XXXX. The Escrow Department is grossly negligent in organizing and submitting payments for homeowners/flood insurance. I paid up from for homeowners and flood insurance during the home building process. After the home was complete, I received an email from a Whitney Representative that I must pay the homeowners premium up for a year and send proof of payment/Policy. I inquired about where is the money that I paid towards the insurance monthly during the building process and it appears that I am paying for the same insurance twice. I was informed I must pay the premium to change from construction loan to permanent loan. Nevertheless, I paid the premium and was informed that I would like get a refund during the Escrow yearly analysis. Not sure why the payments that I made towards insurance could not be applied to the premium. It appears the departments and are separate companies inside of one company and systems are not seamless. My recent issue is that my homeowners/flood representative informes me that they havent received the flood payment and it was due that day. This concerned me greatly as we live in a hurricane prone state and currently in hurricane season with a hurricane moving into the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I contacted Whitney on XX/XX/18 regarding the proof of payment. The Whitney Representative couldnt provide me with proof that the payment was made except the date payment was sent and check number. I requested proof in writing and was informed I should receive a letter in the mail in a few days stating the payment was sent to insurance company. I believe I should have received proof emailed or faxed to me on the date I requested. My homeowners/flood Representative decided to follow up Whitney on XX/XX/18 regarding the Flood Payment that was sent on XX/XX/18. Whitney apparently ignored the bill address on the Flood insurance bill and decided to mail the payment to Homeowners billing address. The Homeowners/Flood requested that Whitney overnight another check to the correct Flood address as the policy has currently expired as XX/XX/18. In the Whitney world, Overnight mail will take 3 days to receive. I refuse to pay twice for the same insurance policy again because Whitney is unable to fix their issues. This issue requires corrective action immediately before homeowners assume that they have insurance and face a loss due to a storm only to find out Whitney sent the payment to wrong address.

XX/XX/2020- My last day of work XX/XX/2020- XXXX XXXX XXXX had already cancelled events and was shutting down the city. XX/XX/2020- XXXX automatic payment comes through my account and Im charged an overdraft fee. He told me there is nothing he could do about the charges and that I should talk to my creditors about the issue. He would only refund 2 deposits. I got my lawyer on the phone and I had him talk and the lawyer was told the same thing. Today I finally received unemployment that I applied for but the bank fees were taken from that deposit leaving me with little money to pay my rent. I am so angry and disappointed because all of my other banks were very understanding and helped. At Hancock Whitney I was only allowed To speak to 1 person about my account. I took over a loan with Hancock Whitney Bank back in XXXX that my father had and he passed away in XXXX. XXXX XXXX from Florida office is the financial banker or officer for their business loans. The year I took the loan over after I had been running the business for 8 years for my dad, we went through and changed the loan in my name a few months after his death. We done a appraisal which was almost XXXX dollars that I paid for and she told me the loan would be redone in a year but I would not have to pay for a new appraisal. When XXXX came time to redo the loan for 3 years I had to pay another almost XXXX for a new appraisal that was exactly the same appraisal done in XXXX. Also in XXXX we done title apps on the mobile homes which the bank had only XXXX on the loan. I asked her and she said the extra ones were in case they messed up a title app that I wouldn't have to come to XXXX to sign another one. That was not true they tried to include all 26 mobile homes on the loan for collateral. I called her and she said they did have all the trailers on the loan and I said no its only 17 Trailers. She called me back and said I was right it was only 17. She never sent the title apps so I could get the trailers in my name with them as lienholder on the 17 trailers nor the extra 9 that they tried to add. I been having trouble getting power cut on and have not been able to get the power on them to rent them. They was suppose to have fixed this and did not. XX/XX/XXXX - I receive notification via email that my direct deposit of {$550.00} has been deposited into my checking account. I call Hancock Whitney regarding my account and I am eventually transferred to XXXX XXXX, Assistant Vice President, Digital Relationship Banker. XXXX tells me my account has not been closed, but it is on hold due to the XXXX transactions. She asks me to send her the corresponding bank statements from where the XXXX transactions originated. We hang up and I immediately email her my bank statements from these accounts that have been open for over XXXX years. She emails me back and says she will reach out once she has an update. I still do not have access to my funds or online banking. XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX email XXXX again regarding my account and she notifies me she is still waiting on a response, even though I am given no means to access or manage my account or my funds. XX/XX/XXXX - I receive an email from Hancock Whitney to " rate my experience '' regarding my account closure even though I never initiated such a thing XX/XX/XXXX - I reach out to XXXX again regarding gaining access to my account and have not received a response. I applied for Hancock whitney online checking account opening process. Initiated a deposit of {$51.00} to have this process kick started. Today I got a call and then an email to send the photo id by email. Gentleman stated that application got stuck in the system. I sent the DL scanned copy. After few minutes- got an email with how to access the account online. I already uploaded the photo id by online application process. Step 1 : You'll be able to log in the day after opening your account. Download the Hancock Whitney mobile app on your smart device. For Online Banking, go to hancockwhitney.com and use the Personal Online Banking option from the drop down menu. Step 2 : Log in with your initial credentials below : User ID : first and last initial + 8 digit DOB ( i.e. XXXX ) Initial Password : " Go '' plus the last six ( 6 ) digits of your social security number ( i.e. XXXX ) None of this worked. Called XXXX at XXXX XXXX and was talking to XXXX. She got all the information about me, Social security number, date of birth, can verify me by sending the text message to my registered phone. But still I can not login and get my account number and routing number. She told me due to security reasons she can't provide me this. It seems that this bank- Hancock Whitney is not at all organized and all the parts are broken. Worst thing- they have the customer facing employees like XXXX who are thinking that they are doing a favor to the customers by working in this bank. Hancock Whitney must accept that their systems are not working and report it to the customers ( website and automate calls ) rather than be so coward and shameless not to admit and acknowledge that any problem exists. Moreover if the online system doesn't work- there are alternative ways to serve the customers rather than having sorry face. On XX/XX/2020, I mobile deposited a check in the amount of {$2600.00} into my Hancock/Whitney personal checking account from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I took two images front and back over my mobile phone. I still don't have a clear image of the deposited check into my account. On XX/XX/2020, I received the funds deposited into my account. I waited an entire week for the funds to clear which is ridiculous for any one that personally bank with this business. I called to inform them that the check image was still not showing up in my account. I was put on hold for another agent. And the second agent just left me on hold. For more than two years, I have been correcting the errors that are made by the people that work for Hancock/Whitney Bank. I call the customer service line and get mistreated with getting my calls transferred more than two or three times per call. Sometimes my call never get answered. I get rude threatening emails. I receive postal mail from Whitney Bank with my name spelled wrong and I have made formal complaints to the company as well as Consumer Finance. It's very clear that they are retaliating against me. And I think it's very unprofessional for adults to conduct themselves in a childish unprofessional manner.

I opened a priority checking account on XX/XX/2020 online through Whitney Hancock which requires a {$10000.00} minimum balance to waive monthly fees. I initially deposited {$1500.00} and then did an transfer for {$8600.00} and did a deposit in from the Treasury Direct account. When I went to log into my online account on XX/XX/2020 ( which I had access to prior ) it said that my access had been suspended by an administrator. I called the customer help line where the rep gave me a number to branch located in XXXX, Florida and said someone at the branch suspended my account. When I called that branch they said they had no idea and no one from there suspended my account so they gave me the number to the XXXX XXXX branch in XXXX, Florida which was listed as my local branch. I spoke to XXXX that morning at the XXXX XXXX branch that said someone from loss prevention temporary suspended my account and she would contact them and call me back. The next day on XX/XX/2020 I still had not heard anything so I called XXXX again. She said no one ever called her back. I told her I would like to make an appointment to come in and close the account and she said my funds were frozen and it could not be closed but she would try to contact the individual at loss prevention again and would get back to by the afternoon. I never received a call. I have already transferred over {$10000.00} into the account and now I don't have any access to my funds. I have spoken to 3 individuals to try and get this resolved. Additionally, I never received any calls or emails notifying me that my account was suspended and under review and was not provided a reason for the review. My parents and I own a rental home in XXXX XXXX, Louisiana. We each own XXXX % interest in the property. The residential home is worth according to XXXX approximately {$68000.00}. In XXXX, we purchased the home and paid off the mortgage. A local bank, XXXX XXXX, provided us a {$35000.00} home equity line of credit at that time and took a first mortgage on the property. This loan was subsequently shifted to XXXX and now Whitney Bank due to bank acquisitions. We have a XXXX month history on making on-time payments for this home equity line of credit. XX/XX/XXXX, we were contacted for the first time by a representative from Whitney Bank stating that the term on the line of credit was expiring in XXXX XXXX and we needed to provide tax returns and financial statements for review. My parents and I submitted this information within two weeks of the request. Prior to this email requesting financial data, we have never heard from any representative at Whitney Bank despite being a 25 year client with a performing loan. XX/XX/XXXX, I was called by the representative from the bank and informed verbally that Whitney Bank was not going to renew the line of credit. They would offer us a term loan to payout the balance. When I inquired as to the reason for this decision, I was informed verbally that we were n't using the line properly. Our issue with Whitney Bank is that there was no outreach by them to connect with us as 25+years customers of the bank. There were no communications from Whitney Bank on any defaults on the terms of the loan. Nor were we given an opportunity to correct any defaults. Our complaints also include poor customer service from Whitney Bank and lack of investment in the minority community. If we were not in compliance with the terms of the loan, why would the bank representative ask us for tax returns and financial statements. If we were in default of the terms of the loan, then why request financials and tax returns?

To Whom It May Concern : I am writing this complaint to inform you about the descrepancies that occurred to my mortgage account which in turn has created a major negative effect to my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX i called in and spoke with a customer service representative by the name of XXXX. She in turn was able to help by correcting and waiving all late fees that were assessed to my account due to the error. She also notified me that my account was fully paid and up to date. and Lastly she supplied me with this email to contact someone to look into this matter to have my payment status reported correctly and remove the 30 day late payment from my credit report. I am requesting to have the 30 day late payment removed from my credit report due to the issues that occurred to my account that were not of my control. For the past three months, my account has not been properly deducting my payments from my checking account at Whitney Hancock Bank and processing the ACH payments. Each of the last three months I have deposited the funds for my mortgage into my checking account as usual and came to find out that no ACHs were occurring to deduct the funds from my account. The funds accumulated up to {$3500.00} before i received an alert on my credit report that my mortgage had not been paid. When i purchased my home back in XXXX of XXXX, I signed an ACH payment letter stating that my checking account would be automatically deducted from in order to pay my mortgage payments. For the last 20 months, I have not had any missed payments. I take my credit and bill paying seriously and make sure all of my bills are paid monthly without missing any payments. I had an account with Midsouth Bank that I opened in XXXX. When the bank announced it was being purchased by XXXX XXXX I immediately closed my account to switch financial institutions. I went, in person, to Midsouth ( before the transition to HW ) to close the account. I had {$80.00} worth of pending charges left on the account so I left {$100.00} in the account to ensure it would be enough for all remaining transactions. Midsouth called me within two days to confirm that I had closed my account completely ( I do not have a way to confirm this as it was well over a year and a half ago ). My account was closed and I have not thought about it sense. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX EST I received a collection call on behalf of Hancock Whitney. The caller stated that I owed " an amount over {$200.00} '' but she was unsure of the exact amount. I immediately called Hancock Whitney and the three different people I talked to all gave me different amounts of money that I owed to close an account with them. An account I never had with a bank I have never done any work with. I was told that my information had been carried over from my closed Midsouth account and that Hancock Whitney never went through the steps to make sure it was closed. They opened an account for me and allowed fraudulent purchases on this new account. On XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX ( A full year after I closed my account ) a purchase was made in my name. They could not give me the exact amount, nor could they tell me where the money was spent. They could only tell me that I had {$210.00} in late fees from Hancock Whitney and that the amount of the purchase would be added to that amount. I checked my credit score and this is not on my credit report ( XXXX XXXX ), but I am afraid it will be soon. This bank has committed fraud by opening an account in my name without my permission.

In XXXX of this year I received a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding my car payment, I was behind and I explained to the rep XXXX that I had been in a abusive relationship and I had been trying to get away from the person but my life was threaten repeatedly and I also suffered some financial loss due to being repeatedly injured, I told him that I can send him copies of the police report and the criminal order of protection. XXXX told me to make a payment by XX/XX/XXXX and he would get with the committee to get a hardship waiver for a few months so that I can be current on my payments and have a little time to get myself together. I had been making payments and then in XXXX my great-great auntie told me that a police officer came to her house looking for me. I contacted the officer and I was informed that my car was supposed to be seized for sheriff sale. I was so shocked, how could this be? So I went to file chapter XXXX bankruptcy and can't afford an attorney to represent me, I heartbroken because they let me make payment after payment and then decide to repo my vehicle, no one ever notified me that my vehicle was up for repossession. I have never had a problem out of a financial company like this. In XXXX I felt like I was lied to because the rep wanted me to believe he felt sorry for the abuse issue I had. If I would have known my car was in jeopardy of repoed I would have slept in my car until things were taken care of. I had to move twice in one month because he located me and threatened my life and I was afraid. I just think whitney bank business ethics are horrible and they are putting me through so much stress its bad enough I have to fear for my life. I have never had issues with making any of my car payments until I went through the unfortunate situation this past year and a half

On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I received an email from XXXX XXXX ( NMLS # XXXX ), the Residential Lending Officer with Whitney Bank who would be assisting me through the process. In that conversation, I spoke with him about pre-qualification requirements and the XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX Program, a mortgage loan program that provides assistance to cover the borrower 's down payment and closing costs. On XXXX XXXX, 2016 I received a Mortgage Loan Pre-Qualification letter to purchase a home in the " {$350000.00} price range ''. The proposed loan was a Conventional 5 % down payment loan. The loan was also contingent on qualifying for down payment assistance for the XXXX XXXX program. On XXXX XXXX, 2016 a final offer was accepted on a house. The executed contract via email was forwarded to XXXX XXXX. The Third Party Financing Addendum of the contract stated that I needed to obtain conditional loan approval by XXXX XXXX, 2016. If for any reason I was not able to obtain financing prior to this date then I could terminate the agreement and have my earnest money refunded. This was highlighted in the email sent to XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, 2016. Closing was scheduled on or before XXXX XXXX, 2016. On XXXX XXXX, 2016 I received conditional approval with a few remaining conditions. Conditions were met on XXXX XXXX, 2016. Again, on XXXX XXXX, 2016 I received another approval with conditions that were satisfied in a timely manner for closing. XXXX XXXX failed to deliver final disclosures, and obtain down payment assistance through the XXXX Program in a timely manner. I am writing to file a complaint against Hancock Whitney regarding the inaccurate reporting of an installment account on my credit report. I have been disputing this item for several months as it is not valid, and I have never had a credit card or installment loan with Hancock Whitney. The account in question is being listed as an installment account, and it includes a remark stating that I was previously past due for 60 days. However, I can confirm that I have never had any credit-related account with Hancock Whitney . In the past, I had a debit card for a checking account with this creditor, but it was not an installment loan or a credit card. Despite my repeated efforts to dispute this account on my credit report, no investigation has been conducted by the credit bureaus. On XX/XX/2023, I submitted an indirect dispute to XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. However, they failed to open an investigation into the matter. I refinanced my home on XX/XX/20 with Hancock Whitney Bank in XXXX, Alabama. The parties I dealt with were XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. XXXX offered to match loan terms with a competitor that offered a rate with no bank fees whatsoever, or so she said. This was after shed failed to lock at a lower rate after requesting to do so. Bank fees kept showing up on all the disclosures but I was told over and over, dont worry about it, itll all be fixed at closing. I was even asked to sign a Closing Disclosure that I told her I couldnt she. After telling her that, she said again, dont worry, its fine, just sign it, Ill fix any problems that show up. Shortly before closing, in a rush, I start receiving docs and the fees were still there. Nearly {$1200.00} worth of fees and $ XXXX of padded interest on the loan they were refinancing, well beyond what was needed. I asked to have the fees removed as promised multiple times, and she stated she never said that the loan wouldnt have any fees, despite confirmation from parties that heard her tell me the same over the phone. I took it up her with her superior, and he stated that he could fix it, but would not. He was aggressive and rude and intentionally dragged out corrections to the file so that I was forced to accept them as written or miss my rate. I asked multiple times to pay my closing costs by check at closing rather than finance them, and they intentionally ignored that request to drive the loan amount up and refused to fix it as we approached closing. I would recommend everyone RUN from this bank as quickly as possible, especially those two people at that bank. Expect fraudulent practices and lack of concern for your wellbeing or any type of real service on your behalf. Its only about how much they can make off of you before you notice.

Several weeks after closing on our mortgage Hancock Whitney made contact with me regarding a lack of both information and a signature involved in the closing. Apparently my Social Security Income was not included. Several demands were made including a " threat '' from XXXX XXXX ( Client Solutions Leader '' that I could be " forced '' to sign as that was part of the standard closing agreements to agree to correct and missing information. Demands included that I should drive a 2 hour round trip from my home to sign, it " had to be signed by " X '' date '' etc., although that deadline date had come and gone when the matter was settled. During that time I received the attached letter form XXXX XXXX asking me to sign one page out of the entire agreement that was Section 6 : Acknowledgements and Agreements had absolutely nothing to do with correcting my income. It appeared that Hancock was going to make a change on what was already a signed Income Disclosure and then use the attached page as a way to provide my agreement. I refused to sign it and instead contacted the attorney 's office that did the closing seeking advice. I was instructed not to sign an arbitrary page and they would look into it. They then presented the option, what I believe to be the legal and proper way to handle the situation and that was to come into their office and to initial and date the original closing documents and to then provide the missing signature ( s ). Hancock made the entire pre-closing demands absolutely absurd and then to attempt to pull this " switch '' off is very disconcerting. I am a well educated individual with several closings under my belt and have never seen a bank act in the manner that Hancock did.

When I press on the link click here its take me to the page that buys bitcoins online I follow the instructions put in the amount of {$6300.00} and the wallets address and it took me to the others page to fill out all of my personal information, when my transaction was approved I email XXXX the approved transaction email and he said he will delivery the truck, but the next day he send me the email asking to pay {$2000.00} more for insurance for the truck delivery I disagree with that and told him I cancel the deal, he said XXXX refund the money to me. As soon as he said that I know that I got scammed, I contact my bank asking them to stop the transaction while it in pending, I also file the dispute I also email my bank the police reports, the attorney general affidavit reports and the screenshots of the email between me and XXXX XXXX XXXX, couple weeks later I got the letter from my bank regarding the dispute in the letter they said based on the investigation they determined that no error has occurred, I disagree with their findings because it clearly a scam I hope that you getting involved to help me getting my {$6300.00} refund to me. While this incident has happen several times I just started to keep track of this. In several occasions Ive made transfers to my checking count from another in house checking account to cover an overdraft and the following day I am still charged a fee. On XX/XX/2022 I made a transfer of {$15.00} at XXXX to cover an overdraft. Ive been told on several occasions that the cut off time is XXXX cst. I still received a fee the following day. This fee was refunded but it was only because of a manager. After that this happened several more times. Just recently there was some fraudulent transactions on my account and after I was refunded the funds back on XX/XX/2022 I was charged a {$36.00} fee for sustaining a negative balance even though it was negative due to fraud. On XX/XX/2022 I made a deposit of {$650.00} which made my balance XXXX. XX/XX/2022 There was a transaction for {$100.00} to XXXX XXXX, {$210.00} to XXXX, and XXXX XXXX for XXXX and it left me with a balance of {$68.00} per the mobile banking website which was incorrect. On XX/XX/2022 I woke up to a negative balance and 2 NSF fee when my posted balance says {$580.00}. The representative said there was a transaction for {$570.00} that tried to come through but that doesnt reflect on the mobile banking. When I asked her why cant I see the transactions she said I need to go into a branch and talk to a manager. When I explained even if the {$570.00} was coming out the balance is {$580.00} that doesnt explain the fees. She had no response. Whitney Hancock has done this on so many occasions XXXX cant even count. Monday morning I am going to close my accounts and go to another bank that isnt predatory.

I was told by my bank, Hancock Whitney, that I have no credit report in the United States. Consequently XXXX/XXXX have not given me a score. I question this because, I have a credit line with Hancock Bank that I have consistently and faithfully paid every month for years. I pay in excess of any minimum payment requirements and have always done that. I've never been in arrears. I'm a US citizen, have owned and paid off 4 houses in Florida, have had a successful business in Flordia, etc. I'm XXXX years old and have been residing in the XXXX XXXX for the past 10 or so years. However, I have kept my account with Hancock Whitney and receive my US Social Security there. My concern is how can I have no credit history when I have one with Hancock Whitney which clearly demonstrates an excellent payment history. I also question how 50 years worth of credit history has just been wiped away. I feel like I'm being penalized because I cleared my debts before I retired. I keep this credit line so I can help my children. The reason that this all came about is that I request in increase in my credit line bacause I'm helping with some house renovation and the extra money would have been very helpful. It was denied because there isn't a XXXX XXXX because I have no US history. Does my history with Hancock Bank not count or has it not been reported? The bank stated that they had identified one or more items or transactions as possible violations of the terns of our Deposit Agreement. or they had received notice of possible claim to the funds at Hanck-Whitney Bank or party to an item or transactions I immediately went to the local branch in XXXX AL and the information was explained by XXXX XXXX , banker, that I didn't authorize his transaction and I went to file a complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I do not know anything about this company and have never done any business with this company. They have taken my funds using an ACH wire transfer. XXXX XXXX is the bank that requested the funds from Hancock Whitney Bank. Hancock Whitney Bank is stating I waited too long to file a claim against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I should have done so within two days of the funds being transferred. I was never made aware of the funds had been transferred until the US Postal Service deliver the letter to my mailbox. I need help because Hancock Whitney Bank is stating I waited too long. I thought all banks in the USA had insurance against thief of money especially since they sent my funds without requiring my signature on any forms. My lot loan with peoples first was transferred to hancock in XXXX when the FDIC closed peoples. The loan was a XXXX yr balloon that hancock was not willing to extent or refinance. On XX/XX/XXXX I brought a check for {$130000.00} payable to myself, my husband, and our mortgage company, Whitney Bank to the bank. The check resulted from our claim due to flood damage. The bank said they would send the check to XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ), the company which services their accounts. I also gave them copies of receipts for {$26000.00} that we had already paid out toward renovating our flood damaged home. XXXX later sent us a check for {$22000.00}. I had been told during two phone conversations with them that I would receive a XXXX of the insurance check amount in XXXX draws as we progressed on the renovation. I have contacted both Whitney and XXXX to try to find out why I did not get a XXXX of the insurance money. XXXX says they wish they could help me, but said it was up to XXXX. XXXX with XXXX called me yesterday and said the amount was determined by " a federal law '' ( her exact term ). When I questioned that, she said the local bank manager could decide how much to disperse. I asked if the bank manager could make a decision to override a " federal law, '' and she said yes. She said her company just does the paperwork for the bank. My husband and I are frustrated that the bank is not giving us a fair amount of our insurance proceeds, and that the XXXX companies involved say the other company is responsible. While the mortgage company ( XXXX or Whitney? ) holds most of the money, we are paying for the renovations, by writing checks on our second mortgage line of credit at Whitney which means we are paying them interest while they happily hold on to our insurance proceeds.

I am a co-signed on my daughters checking account. She was a victim of check fraud on or about XX/XX/XXXX. We have the police report and other info. We contacted Hancock Whitney bank and they started a investigation. My husband and i have a checking account there. And I am also on my XXXX year old mother account there. The fraud checks/scam were two checks totaling XXXX. The scammer requested money be sent back due to overpayment and my daughter did that. We understand that we need to make it right with the bank but they want there money in 10 days or they say they are gon na take my money out of my and my husbands account and if it isnt available there, they will take my mothers. We have offered numerous solution that would Benefitnthe bank and is without taking my mother only money she has. She is elderly and has medication and other necessities to buy. My husband receives social security and we cant make it without his money. I am a XXXX in XXXX. We have asked the local branch to let us discuss it with fraud division or corporate to come up with a solution and they refused. They said it has to be handled locally. We offered all document, emails, text from the number and email that was used for the scam. They refused to look at it. We offered police report and they said they didnt need it. I have a XXXX XXXX Checking account. I had {$290.00} in it which I wanted to withdraw so I could close the account. So I set up a transfer to my XXXX XXXX account for {$290.00}. Nothing happened. No confirmation and it didn't even show up in the recent activity. It also said there was an error with the transfer when i tried again so I instead used a check. I wrote a check to myself for {$290.00} and used the Mobile Deposit feature to get my funds. I received the {$290.00} in my XXXX account and called XXXX XXXX to close my account. When I called however, the woman speaking said she was unable to do so because I was overrated by {$290.00}. Confused by this, I look at my bank statement. The check went through perfectly fine but than the transfer went through the day after and it charged me {$36.00} in fees because I did not have enough funds. So I received a total of {$590.00} ( $ XXXX ) as a mistake. Eventually, XXXX XXXX took back the extra {$290.00} but still charged me the {$36.00} fee despite the fact that I received no confirmation that my transfer went through. If someone does not have enough money in their account, they're probably in a situation where they can not afford the {$36.00} and would rather have a " Transfer Declined '' instead. I had to pay the {$36.00} regardless and wrote a check, all because of an error on their behalf. They have made no efforts to right this and all I want is my {$36.00} back. I have screenshots showing I deposited the check first and THAN the transfer went through.

Our house sold and the loan was paid in full on XX/XX/2021. There was a positive balance in escrow. The company ( Hancock-Whitney Bank ) claims the check was mailed on XX/XX/2021. Despite Forwarding orders with USPS and frequent contact with the new buyer, the check was never received. On XX/XX/2021, the mailing address was updated to the new mailing address and a new check was requested. Multiple requests/contacts with the company resulted in a different date when the new check was mailed or would be mailed with each contact. This matter was escalated to Supervisors multiple times ( XX/XX/2021, XX/XX/2021, XX/XX/2021, XX/XX/2021 ). A local branch Vice President was also contacted to no avail. The projected date the new check would be mailed is being advanced 2 weeks with each contact - as of today it stands at XX/XX/2021. That is XXXX after closing of the loan. We requested multiple times for the check to be sent overnight at our cost but are being told that this is not possible. The Closing attorney informed us this is standard practice of this lender, and all of his customers have problems getting their escrow money back. He was unable to offer additional help. It is unacceptable that this is taking more than 90 days under the guise that the department is backed up. We believe the initial check was never sent as we received other mail from the same company in the same time frame without any problem. This company should be investigated for fraud related to their handling of escrow accounts.

I opened a checking account online with XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Per the terms and conditions of the promotional offer that I received, a bonus of {$300.00} was supposed to be paid after enrolling in online statements and using the debit card for five purchases by XX/XX/XXXX. The bonus was supposed to be paid by XX/XX/XXXX after all criteria were met. I completed these tasks 0n XX/XX/XXXX, but after the bonus did not post, I called the company today, XX/XX/XXXX. After speaking with XXXX XXXX in the 'phone loan ' department at XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX AND XXXX XXXX, he informed me that the company would not honor the bonus, despite me fulfilling all of the criteria for the promotional offer to be paid. Additionally, even though the terms of the promotional offer CLEARLY state that the limit is " Limit of one new consumer checking-account-related bonus per household per calendar year. ", and admitting that I had not received any form of bonus yet in the calendar XX/XX/XXXX year, he said that the bonus is supposed to be on a rolling year basis. Per XXXX dictionary, one calendar year is 'the period of 365 days ( or 366 days in leap years ) starting from XX/XX/XXXX, used for reckoning time in ordinary affairs. ' This is absolutely unacceptable. This is false advertising and intentionally deceptive on the part of the bank, and the bank is going back on promises and not paying promotional offers that customers are rightly due, because they believe that customers will simply forget. On XX/XX/2016 we went in to look at new vehicles. When we found the one we wanted, we explained that if they could not find financing within the XXXX bank hit on our credit and within the correct finance charges we were willing to pay, that we would return the following day with our own financing once our bank opened the following morning. When we went into the financing office, they notified us they hit our credit score 3 times. I was furious! We decided to just go ahead with it. When we were about to sign off on the car, we noticed the interest rate was XXXX points higher than we had agreed to pay. We thanked them for their time, and were about to walk out when they had to adjust the selling price to get us approved by the bank at the lower interest rate. The next day I checked my credit report and noticed they had XXXX hard hits on my credit. I contacted the dealership and they said there was nothing they could do that sometimes their computer just keeps searching until it finds a bank to finance it. None of this is what we originally agreed upon. I had financing I could 've received from my bank the following day during bank hours but with it being the end of the month, I think the dealership was trying to hurry to close the deal and searched anywhere they could that late at night to get the deal done. On XX/XX/XXXX, my insurance agency sent a Letter of Confirmation of Coverage and a Binder to my mortgage company, Hancock Whitney bank, requesting payment to XXXX XXXX XXXX for a new insurance policy. Payment in the amount of {$4400.00} was again requested by my insurance agency to be overnighted to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. There was no contact between XXXX XXXX and either myself or my insurance agency from XX/XX/XXXX to the afternoon of XX/XX/XXXX ( Friday ), when Hancock Whitney notified my insurance agency that it needed a Declarations Page/invoice and a verbal agreement from me to pay the insurance. By that time, the property insurance policy had lapsed, and I was uninsured due to XXXXancock Whitney 's failure to pay the insurance premium. On XX/XX/XXXX, Louisiana 's insurance rates were raised 60 % or more, and now the same policy I had received for {$4400.00} is {$10000.00}. Neither my insurance agent nor myself were contacted once between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX that Hancock Whitney needed a Declarations Page/invoice or verbal approval from me in order for Hancock Whitney to pay my insurance premium. Hancock Whitney has admitted as much, and has admitted that it is their fault that the insurance was not paid. However, I have been told that I have no recourse, and I am now left responsible for the {$6000.00} increase in my insurance due to their fault. several months ago i received a card and checks from hancock whitney bank XXXX XXXX XXXX i called them to dispute the account. They told me that XXXX accounts were started but the second one was stopped inhouse before it was issued. They canceled the one i called about. At that time we discussed the fact that i wanted absolutely no account with that bank, they assured me that no accounts were open and none would be oppened in my name. I contacted federal id theft and filed a complaint with them, and also notified all three credit reporting agencies and froze my credit with them. Today i received a bill from the bank for XXXX for checks written on an account # XXXX. Today I called the bank and was told that this account was the second account. The one they flagged and did not open. I contacted XXXX, they told me that they have no record of this bank on my credit report, The reason for this compliant is the bank would not tell me how to contact their fraud dept. directly. I signed up for a promo bonus with XXXX XXXX XXXX. In the promo and the terms and conditions, it stated that you will receive a {$300.00} bonus by enrolling in online statements and making 5 qualifying transactions by XX/XX/XXXX. The promo code was XXXX and when I applied online it said it was successfully applied. I completed everything and made my deposit and completed all qualifying conditions to receive said bonus. Just to be sure, I called XXXX XXXX customer service and was td after half an hour of holding that it wasn't eligible im Texas. Several email communications have taken place along with phone conversations about the incorrect reporting of 2 debts with Whitney ( XXXX XXXX ). The bank has stated in XX/XX/XXXX again in early XX/XX/XXXX to have the error in reporting corrected. Their incorrect reporting has caused denial in employment. I purchased a car in 2008. My grandmother was making payments on the car while I was in college and young. She fell ill and stopped making payments in which I was unaware. The car was involved in an accident and when the bank tried to repossess the car it was in the shop. I told them where and assumed they picked the car up from the mechanic and that was the last I heard for years. I assumed the car was taken and sold. Five years later I opened my check to discover someone had taken half of what I made. It was the first time I was ever aware I was being sued for anything. I am XXXX of those people who opted out of overdraft protection because I did n't think we would need it with a household account and a personal account for myself. Then when I started paying bills all was well with the world then I started getting an overdraft notice because on their online site there is a button to click to use the household account or the personal. Several times now money is in the account and I click on the button but it charges me overdraft and pulls from the personal. This time I paid homeowners and car insurance and they hit me with XXXX ODs in my personal account and I have money in the household. Transfer the money and I am still overdrawn by {$66.00}. On XX/XX/2022 - I received a phone call from my bank ( Hancock Whitney Bank ). It was not actually the bank, it was a scam. The scammer informed me that my account had been hacked, and that fraudulent charges were being made to my checking account. From there, he stated he was closing my account, ordering me a new card, and upping me to maximum security. Mind you, this is all on the banks phone #, and under the guise of upping security / verification of identity, and from there, I gave him a lot of personal info. I thought the account was closed and the problem was being handled. I received an email this morning, XX/XX/XXXX, from Hancock Whitney saying I added my card to XXXX XXXX and if I didn't do this, to call this number immediately. I called Hancock, and fraud department froze my account, and advised me to get to a branch immediately. The servicer has refused to pay for the home policy renewal of {$800.00}. The servicer XXXX claims that they did not recieve the policy renewal. On XX/XX/XXXX the Insurance Company, XXXX XXXX, cancelled the coverage. I called the company and they claimed to have sent the policy twice. I am complaining on behalf of my mother and myself in my role as trustee of her trust account. I have contacted Whitney Bank about the error they have in their system after Whitney Bank made threats to me in regards to charging my account for a check they may not have been cleared from the official creditor. I deposited a check into my account and the statement came back as if the deposit was initiated from Whitney Bank. The error was on their system because there is nothing wrong with the device that was used to deposit this check because I use the mobile check deposit frequent. I have never had this issue before with mobile deposits. Whitney Bank completely ignored the issue. They could not provide the correct copy of the initial deposit of the check. They couldn't apologize for the threats they made and falsified this entire interaction. The check deposit was originally issued from another MAJOR Financial Institution, Therefore I should have never received email threats from Whitney Bank to apply charges to my personal account because the check may not have cleared. They should have just been honest and said they didn't have the amount of funds to cash the check. The letters clearly show my name was not spelled correctly.

On XX/XX/2023, I contacted Hancock Whitney Bank regarding my title for my vehicle. I hadn't received the title and it has been close to 2 months since the payoff. After contacting them, I was told there was a balance owed of {$5.00}. I told the lady I hadn't received a bill for this amount. She stated that a bill hadn't been sent since XXXX. I was unaware the bill hadn't been paid off. My credit history is excellent. I then contacted my daughter, who is a banker. She told me to call them back while she was on the phone because 30 days past due could be showing on my and my husband 's credit report. I called back with my daughter on the phone. She only mentioned that a negative mark could hit my credit. The rep then said it would violate privacy and I needed to go through a series of questions. I failed the series of questions and am totally unaware of some of the phone numbers they were mentioning. We called again and still the same process and I failed again. I do not feel it's fair that my credit be negatively impacted because I never received a bill after the bill I thought should have paid off the loan.

Dear Hancock & Whitney Bank Officers & Directors : As I received a promotion by email for opening business checking account ( plz see attached files ) earlier this year, I then opened a business account and met the requirements for the bonus. According to the T & Cs for a bonus of the business chkg account, the offer clearly stated 1 bonus is qualified per business per calendar year whereby I have own separate business from anyone else in the household. However, my numerous inquiries to your bank reps for the bonus was continually declined because I was incorrectly told that, either purposely or conveniently, a bonus is only given one per household. On or about XXXX XX/XX/2021, I opened checking account with Hancock Whitney with {$51.00} with promotion of cash back bonus. The terms and conditions of this promotion and bank account is quite complex to understand : Monthly direct deposit of {$250.00} - total of {$500.00} per month Maintain balance of {$1500.00} to avoid minimum balance fees/penalties. As this account was new and Hancock Whitney messed up with my online access, it took a while to setup direct deposit. I requested Hancock Whitney to give me a grace period as this complex terms like " average daily balance of {$1500.00} '' is somewhat difficult in the very first 90 days. But Hancock Whitney customer service was not willing to budge at all. Hancock Whitney customer service is not at all approachable via phone - very long wait time. On XX/XX/2020, my Hancock Whitney VISA credit card was charged for {$1100.00} without my permission. This charge was temporarily put on hold but put back on the card when the Dispute Resolution Department sent me a letter saying there was no billing error and I was responsible for the charge. I reported it to the fraud department but they could not help me. I saw that my rewards points on the card indicated a large point withdrawal so I contacted the rewards department and was told that the points were redeemed for an airline ticket or tickets and the balance was put on my credit card. I was told that the ticket was for a XXXX XXXX. I gave the Dispute Resolution Dept this information, but they said there was proof that it was my charge and they would not re-open the case. At no time was I sent a copy of my authorization for this charge, although I requested this each time I i spoke with them, on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I don't know what else I can due except hire an attorney. Please help me clear this up.

Dear CFPB, Hancock Whitney continues to send me tax delinquent notices ( latest on XX/XX/XXXX ). Hancock stated on XX/XX/XXXX, in reply to my earlier CFPB complaint ( # XXXX ), they understand I was paying quarterly taxes and was not delinquent. Further Hancock Whitney stated they would place a note on my account and would stop any further delinquent tax notices. I received another tax delinquency notice ( attached ) from Hancock threatening to establish an escrow account ( none has existed since this loan was approved in XXXX ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I called Hancock Customer Service, XXXX, in attempt to resolve. The phone agents including a supervisor were not able to resolve ( they could not find the note in my file ). During the process of the application I paid XXXX Dollars for an appraisel report on the collaterialized property ; said property is unoccupied investment property. I tried to transfer {$25.00} from other checking account - one from XXXX XXXX and another from XXXX. It failed. I also tried to transfer from debit card but it didn't worked. Today I called Hancock whitney, they transferred me to online/digital team but they were also of no help. Only suggestion/help - to drive almost 20 miles to go to their branch to do this work. Harrison finance employees has been calling from different numbers and does not leave a message saying what company they represent or what the call pertains to.. they simply leave messages stating a name only when calling my phone. It has gotten to the point where they called my job everyday 3x a day as well as family members who I never listed as a reference. Midsouth bank closed my account and only said I wasnt the kind of person they do business with and even though I offered to prove the legitimacy of any funds they didnt care. Hancock Whitney will not let me close my account. I called to do so and they said I first had to transfer the money out of my account. I connected my other checking account ( XXXX ) to my Hancock Whitney account and then tried to initiate a transfer. The Hancock Whitney platform does not allow me to initiate a transfer. Hancock Whitney Bank has violated my rights in account reporting. I have come to find out for years they have been reporting many incorrect missed payments and not reporting on time payments since the account was opened. They can't even report the same closed date correctly between bureaus. How can they be trusted. I went through drive thru at my bank Whitney Bank on XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, LA to make a deposit. Then decided to cash a check in the drive thru lane rather than go around to ATM machine. The banks web site constantly has issues whenever I try to pay online. It has issues loading. Or it will ask security questions that don't pertain to me. When I tried to pay on XX/XX/20. I got locked out after it asked incorrect security questions. Then I called and paid over the phone. I called back to check the confirmation number. I was very sick over the last week and my account went unattended, and we had other sickness in our household.
