The debt collector, XXXX, researched my new address ( they did n't have mine on file apparently ), and instead of sending me a correspondence requesting I contact them or pay my debt, they issued a law suit! Fine, I owe the debt, I need to pay it right? I get it, I am okay with that. But they should have asked first. But my real complaint is that they served a summons with my personal information about debts I owe to a roommate! This information did NOT need to be made public in the form of the lawsuit nor the summons to my roommate if they had just contacted me to begin with. This needs to stop.
