In XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Greenpath about my credit card debt. After listening to their program, I decided to enroll in their program. Their program was to negotiate the interest rates of my cards down allowing them to be paid off quicker. Greenpath would automatically debit my checking account and make the payments to the creditors that they put into their program. This was to help reduce debt, improve credit, and allow more income to go back to the bank instead of to high interest cards. There was a couple of glitches in the first month which I was expecting during the transition, but throughout the months to continue, I was constantly making calls to see why I was recieving statements that didn't make sense. Greenpath assured me that this was going to be rectified. In XX/XX/XXXX, I was debited 3 payments, I called and spoke to their customer service and they said that was a mistake. They gave me the option of paying it towards the cards or refunding it. I opted to have the {$290.00} refunded due to the amount. Then in XX/XX/XXXX I noticed bills still coming in saying " past due '' or " Late ''. I called and the customer service rep said that some info was never received and my payment would need to go up. I gave them permission to increase the auto debit. Now we are 5 months into the program and it still is not working properly. On XX/XX/XXXX I called again and spoke to XXXX in their customer service because I recieved a bill from XXXX XXXX stating the bill was {$270.00} past due. I asked her to review my whole account because this had me very worried. I explained to her that I never was late with any of these cards when I started and did not want this to destroy what I was working so hard to do. She came right out and admitted on a recorded line that people at Greenpath has really dropped the ball and coaching was going to be needed to the reps that helped me in the past. She was going to look into everything and put together a plan which needed me again to increase my auto debit, which I authorized again. Over the weekend we looked at a home to purchased. The loan officer pulled my credit and informed me that we will not qualify because my credit report shows multiple late and past due payments. My credit score has also dropped over 100 points within the time I started with Greenpath. I called on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX and asked for a manager to contact me. After calling back twice, I finally spoke to XXXX XXXX. I told her what I found out and she gathered the info. She told me that there were some issues with proposals being sent, a mix up with accounts and that the credit report can't be fixed but maybe she could write me letter. After she looked into the problems, she then said a increase in my auto debit was going to be needed AGAIN and that the payment that they refunded me in XXXX is what threw everything off. As I explained to her, when I called in XXXX, their rep told me it was a mistake on a recorded line, if they told me the accurate info as she was stating then the refund would have never of happened. She wanted to review the info and call me back. I then took it upon myself to call the creditors that reported the derogatory info and asked for a review of the accounts since XX/XX/XXXX when Greenpath took over. Here is what I found : XXXX XXXX XXXX ( last four of the card # XXXX ) - Declined the the original proposal and contacted Greenpath on XX/XX/XXXX. Never heard anything from Greenpath and that my report is showing 2 times 30 days late currently. I had to pay {$43.00} to become current. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX Never received a proposal. Finally on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX sent a proposal based on all my calls. Never received a payment in XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, or XX/XX/XXXX. Had to pay {$270.00} to become current and stop further proceedings XX/XX/XXXX- XXXX XXXX/ XXXX XXXX- Signed up for the program in XX/XX/XXXX. Missed XX/XX/XXXX payment then paid XX/XX/XXXX payment late which caused the account to report 30 days late and was kicked off the program. I finally spoke with XXXX XXXX again and had to pay the refund back to them from XXXX of {$290.00}. So now they have increased my payment numerous times, had me pay a one-time payment of {$290.00}, had to pay the creditors $ XXXX $ XXXX {$33.00} to three accounts that were late. XXXX XXXX reached out to me on the XX/XX/XXXX and sent me a letter to give to the mortgage company. She said there was confusion between several account, delays in response time from Greenpath and the creditors, some miscommunication that caused the majority of the issue. Greenp th credited the account for the late fees on the XXXX XXXX account of {$140.00}. She also stated th t they can not reverse the derogatory credit score and it will stay on my credit for 2 years. My kids des rve to be in a school district that gives them the greatest success for life. This situation has caused turmo I in my marriage, anxiety, sleepless nights, and the ultimate issue, not being able to get a mortgage for another 2 years. I appreciate the help as of recent from XXXX XXXX, I believe she truly feels bad, b t that doesn't change the fact of the reality I know have to live with from their mistake and negligence Thank you, XXXX XXXX XXXX

In regards to GreenPath Negligence practices of The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) The Fair Credit Reporting Act New Jerseys Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices laws, ie. XXXX New Jersey Code TITLE XXXX - CORPORATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS FOR FINANCE AND INSURANCE XXXX XXXX - Unfair methods of competition, unfair, deceptive acts, practices, XXXX XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX, balance was {$9400.00} with a $ XXXX payment. By XX/XX/XXXX, I paid {$1500.00} towards my balance. No payments missed. According to my calculations, the balance should be near {$7900.00}, based on the agreed amount of {$300.00}. XX/XX/XXXX, I experienced identity theft, which resulted in ( 2 ) Inaccurate Hard credit inquiries from XXXX. ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ). Impacted by COVID personally from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, I tried working with XXXX on the accurate reporting, while trying to rebuild my delicate health. The added stressed cause more harm to my body. On top, I experienced harassment with the form of communication XXXX used to properly confirm the remaining debt. With no clear choice, sought an third party ( Greenpath ) resource to purchase my debt and schedule a new repayment. As per multiple phone calls In XXXX, XXXX ( last call XX/XX/XXXX ) to rectify debt to XXXX, the account charged off XX/XX/XXXX. No adherence to US CARES ACT made towards the account. XX/XX/XXXX, Greenpath became third party on the loan in the effort of settling debt while rebuilding negative credit history and consumer services from XXXX. The new agreement mentioned a loan balance of {$9400.00}. As reported on signed documents, credit reports and other auxiliary information. Request to validate the debt. Remove negative/inaccurate reporting ( hard credit inquiries, incorrect account information ). Illegal to harass consumers with incorrect reporting as per Debt Collection Practices ( Regulation F ) Next, Greenpath agreed to $ XXXX towards my balance. Not a strong difference in savings but it wasnt XXXX XXXX with the goal of showing positive payment history with no interest applied. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I have not missed a payment yet my loan balance is incorrect on all Credit bureaus, If calculations were to apply {$200.00} ( removing {$26.00} for any service fee ) * 12 months = {$2400.00}. During a global pandemic, XXXX failed to protect their consumer. GreenPath : According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau : The Federal Trade Commission has adopted a rule that says you can't be charged a fee until the debt settlement company has met three requirements : A successful result must be reached. The debt settlement company must have renegotiated, settled, reduced or otherwise changed the terms of at least one of your debts. There must be an agreement between you and the creditor/debt collector. You must agree to the settlement agreement, debt management plan, or other result reached by the debt settlement company with your creditor or debt collector. You must have made a payment to the creditor. You must have made at least one payment to the creditor or debt collector as a result of the agreement negotiated by the debt settlement company. Many creditors will not negotiate with debt settlement companies. Also, many creditors and debt collectors will not negotiate how much they will settle for. Instead, they will have standard policies about how much loan principal they will forgive when you haven't made payments for a certain period of time. This means debt settlement companies usually can't get better terms than you could get by negotiating with your creditors and collectors yourself. Based upon the regulation guidelines, no terms settled for in charge off, XXXX would have worked the same offer! Provided direct automatic payment to Greenpath to ensure accuracy, yet the bottom line was not met. Please note, this inappropriate business practices has denied access to property financial management, increased burdens and limited available resources. Warm regards,

In XXXX 2017 the debt management service I had my account with XXXX. ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) changed companies to GreenPath during that time I did not receive a statement for XXXX or XXXX from the new company GreenPath. Because of me not receiving a statement ( reminder ) I did not make a deposit. the previous company did a great job in sending me statements, return envelopes and statements where the monies were spent. GreenPath did none of those things Their accounting does not add up to the proper amounts. As soon as I found out about the issues I sent deposits to GreenPath. When I received a statement on where the monies were spent XXXX of the creditors were not paid and are threatening to charge off the accounts. GreenPath 's excuse was they are paying priority accounts instead of paying each creditor as previously determined by XXXX. GreenPath has not dispersed all of the deposit monies deposited and have continued not to pay all the creditors as did the previous company. XXXX creditors are still not paid yet there should be sufficient funds to pay all creditors as previous company had done. The XXXX creditors are XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX has told me they have not received a payment since XXXX but I have a statement dated XXXX XXXX, 2017 from GreenPath stating XXXX XXXX is being paid {$110.00} My deposit amount each month is {$560.00} but GreenPath has only been dispersing {$450.00} so there should be a balance deposit of {$110.00} minus fees of {$35.00}. When I have called and tried to get them to pay the creditors not paid I have been told I have a balance of {$5.00}. This issue has been on going since XXXX I need help to get my credit management back in good standing. Everything was good until GreenPath took over the account. Please help. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

I started using Greenpath services in XX/XX/2016. I spoke with a representative ( XXXX XXXX ), and she went over everything on my credit report and told me they would reach out to each one of my creditors and get an agreed amount that they would pay each month. I informed her that I get paid on the XX/XX/XXXX of each month, and that's when they could take my payments. At no time did she or anyone else tell me that because my husband and I signed on together that they would pay his debts with my payments. My husband had his set amount coming out of the account at a different date. I started noticing calls and late payments on all my accounts and I couldn't understand because I was paying, so I thought my creditors had it wrong. A few months later I was still receiving calls, and I decided to give greenpath a call. They informed me that because my husband missed his payment, that my money went to his bills and not mine!!! No one ever informed me that this was happening. They then told me I would need to separate my account from his, which I did. That still has not stopped me from getting all of these late payments on my credit. I'm attaching all documents I signed with them as well as proof of me paying every single month on time. I've never had any late payments on my credit, and now my credit is ruined. My good credit is needed to keep my security clearance at work and I explained all of this before I started with them. Greenpath really needs to fix this mistake and remove any late payments on my credit reports from XX/XX/2016 to current. I'm in no way at fault for my credit being ruined, and this has affected me tremendously.

I called Greenpath today XX/XX/2023 to tell them to cancel the ACH withdrawal. I had sent them a message last night, XX/XX/2023, to tell them to cancel the ACH. I did not get any response. I talked to several people today and then I got this email that says I agreed to the {$510.00} to be taken out every week. That doesn't make any sense because they have been taken out that amount for awhile now. Why would I call to tell them to do something they were already doing? What is the agent 's name that I talked to? When they took the money out of my account, it caused my account to go into negative balance. All of my other posted debits bounced back and the bank and those vendors charged me NSF fees. I want Greenpath to reimburse me.

I called Greenpath and submitted a dispute to XXXX and I have not been able to remove that late payment nor XXXX XXXX was able to either. I pay my portion To Greenpath each month and they pay my creditors the same day every month, no reason to have a 30 day late Credit Card payment.
