On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a voicemail message from XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX was later identified as working for PRG ( Premiere Recovery Group or XXXX XXXX XXXX ). XXXX stated the following on the recording : " This is XXXX XXXX. ( Inaudible ) calling for a civil grievance for a breach of contract you have committed as a result of a returned transaction that came out of a XXXX XXXX XXXX Account. At this point in our investigation, it is essential to speak with you or your attorney further addressing the allegations as we are granted a limited amount of time. We need to discuss this matter with you while your paperwork is being drawn up. XXXX XXXX stated the date and then stated if you want to prevent further proceedings as well as documentation released to your employer call ( provided number ). I expect to speak with you in 24 hours. Your ID number is XXXX. '' I returned Mr. XXXX 's call. Mr. XXXX began his scripted introduction, however, did not identify the company he was employed with. Mr. XXXX explained to me that I was facing a civil lawsuit by the creditor for " Breach of Contract, '' " Bad Check, '' and " Attempt to defraud a financial institution. '' Confused I asked Mr. XXXX who the collector was and he stated that it was XXXX XXXX XXXX, who bought the debt from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Mr. XXXX told me that the amount owed is {$1600.00} and that there is a settlement figure, but did not disclose the settlement figure. I asked Mr. XXXX to give me a minute to check the XXXX XXXX account because I have not used it in a while and it is actually closed. Mr. XXXX became sarcastic in his deliverance. Mr. XXXX stated that the return transaction is from XX/XX/XXXX, and payments stopped in XX/XX/XXXX. Mr. XXXX read off my driver 's license number and the last four of my social. I stated I do remember taking out a payday loan, but did not believe it was with XXXX so I would like to check the account. Mr. XXXX stated in a loud manner, " So this is not your debt? '' Mr. XXXX then became crude with intentional discourtesy and stated, " So what do you have a twin sister or something? '' Noting he was unprofessional, I responded by telling him that they should give him a raise for being a comedian. I could hear Mr. XXXX laughing on the phone. While he was unprofessional, the call was calm at this point. I told Mr. XXXX that I was willing to work with him, but I needed verification of whom he was and a legit letter or e-mail from him with his company not his personal e-mail so if I do make these arrangements and they turn out to be fraudulent I know who to come after for a lawsuit. Mr. XXXX stated that he would not provide me with either and that they do not send letter nor e-mails for verification. Mr. XXXX became hostile and started yelling that I was questioning the integrity of his company. Mr. XXXX then asked me if the cable company or the electric company called me for a payment would I ask them for verification. I then advised Mr. XXXX that both of those companies send me letters and I would not make the payment over the phone without verification. Mr. XXXX told me that if we did not make a payment arrangement or an arrangement to pay the debt off by the end of the call that he would be forwarding that I am not willing to comply to the company so they can begin the legal proceedings. I questioned what the issue was if I was willing to work with them, but wanted verification first. Mr. XXXX stated that there's no way he would have all the information he has on me and that should be enough validation. I advised that in today 's world anything is possible. Mr. XXXX was being very loud and speaking over me. Mr. XXXX was continuing to refuse to provide verification and advised that there would be no letters sent. Mr. XXXX began making smart remarks that were degrading and I told him that he may have that smart XXXX funny type of personality, but that is not the way you work with people. I then told him he may not be that successful if this is how he treats people and he may find it easier if he is professional. Mr. XXXX stated he was very successful in what he does. I told Mr. XXXX he was not going to scare me into paying this debt and I needed verification. Mr. XXXX stated that he does not get anything out of me paying my debts. I corrected him and explained that I use to work in XXXX so I know he receives bonuses. Mr. XXXX began to yell at me. Mr. XXXX stated in his frantic state that since I worked for XXXX XXXX before then I know how to get out of paying my debts and that I don't pay my debts. I asked for his supervisor since the call escalated and I told him he escalated the call and became very dramatic for no reason. Mr. XXXX stated something to the effect of that is fine or something very rude and then hung up on me instead of transferring me to his supervisor. I contacted the company back and asked for a supervisor. I spoke with a man that identified himself as XXXX XXXX. XXXX was more professional but still had a very rude deliverance. XXXX stated he understood where I was coming from for wanting verification, but his attorney team has told them not send letters nor e-mails. I told XXXX that made no sense for a legal to advise that because that is not how it should be done. XXXX began spatting about how they were legit and he was stating how they were legit, but I could not keep up with all the acronyms or whatever he was saying. XXXX denied to send me a letter and an e-mail. XXXX told me that the original debt collectors sold the debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX and he provided me the number. XXXX told me if I did my due diligence in contacting XXXX or if I wanted to contact XXXX and go down the chain, he would be in the office for the next two hours and would even give me until the morning to call him back to set up a payment. I logged into my XXXX account. The debt owed on my account is shown as {$1500.00}, not {$1600.00} like I was advised by Mr. XXXX. I contacted XXXX and was advised that the debt was sold to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, not XXXX XXXX. I contacted XXXX back and he did not answer. I left him a voicemail and advised that without verification I would not make a payment with them, but I was willing as long as I could verify. Mr. XXXX advised me that the conversation was recorded. The FDCPA states : The collector can not use crude language. The collector can only tell the debtor about the debt and request payment. Debt collectors can not harass debtors nor can they threaten to sue unless they truly inted to take the debtor to court. The collector can send letters and e-mails. The collector has to send a written " Validation Notice '' within 5 days of initial contact. The collector can not misrepresent the amount owed. The collector can not tell an employer that you owe a debt. Mr. XXXX violated all of these.

The company name is PRG or Premier Recovery Group The original company is XXXX XXXX /XXXX XXXX. This account has been given away twice again with no correspondence to me at all XXXX has called me over and over and over and always from a different number I had a XXXX XXXX call me over and over again with out leaving a company name or what it was in regards too. They called again XX/XX/XXXX and this time it was a XXXX XXXX Got me on the call with XXXX. He was a fast talker, VERY RUDE and hung up on me 3 times with no information yelled at me and was very disrespectful. I apparently had a debt with a pay day loan company and I was trying to explain to them I had no knowledge He would n't give me any info and said it was up to me to prove it and he was n't sending me ANYTHING. So I called back 3 times and finally got someone to give me the answers apparently they were sending mail to not only an old address but the current address they had was incomplete no apt number so I never received any correspondence. I called the pay day loan place and they sold the account, to these people I called again today and was met with such disrespect. I let them know I spoke to the pay day loan people and they let me know what was going on and I explained that from XX/XX/XXXX-current I have been a XXXX patient and that is why I had not been making payments, missing work, and paying bills on the little I had. XXXX began again to cut me off not listen and also told me I was using my XXXX as a crutch. No sir It was being used in my explanation. He was demeaning and disrespectful and wanted ME to apologize to him!!!! all while talking over me! for what for asking what they were calling for, for asking what this was about, for asking for proof!!!! I made an arrangement with them after he said they could split it over 3 months which he could have just told me yesterday. I asked to speak to a supervisor and it was a disaster no listening told me XXXX had nothing to do with this debt. Which I understand. But to tell me my illness is a crutch when I am working every day is an insult then XXXX saying " I have people in my family that have XXXX '' does n't make it better. HE needs to be dismissed He is rude. Talks over you and when I asked to listen to the recording they had of me " cursing them out '' he would n't cooperate. So Lawyers will be getting involved for slander and defamation of character for something that did not happen on XX/XX/XXXX. He also said today that my XXXX had nothing to do with the loan and asked me if I had XXXX why was I so mean and rude. Well sir I called you all 6 times yesterday and out of the 6 I was hung up on at least 3-4 times so that recording you have of me calling on XX/XX/XXXX needs to be heard so that they understand how they treat their customers. He was quick to say see you in court. Without OFFERING A SETTLEMENT OR EXPLAINING ANYTHING. Never been so disrespected in my life. XXXX stated XX/XX/XXXX " I am not sending you anything " yelling at me the whole time said by denying I knew about the debt I was insulting him and his company and said I cursed at them on XX/XX/XXXX which I did not. He said the call was recorded. Someone needs to listen to those phone calls where I had to call back multiple times just to be hung up on and then he said I hung up on them!!! No I did not at all and the recordings will prove that. XXXX needs to apologize, Someone needs to listen to the " recordings '' he has of me being hung up on 3 or more times. I never cursed anyone out. He is condescending and very rude. Today was the last straw. They either need to cut my payments in half or Dismiss XXXX, XXXX, and the Supervisor I spoke to. When you call all you hear is the radio in the back ground and before you can speak the receptionist hangs up on you the number I dialed was XXXX also XXXX also the call came from XXXX I have been ran through the ringer with them and they were NOT friendly and put me in a category with people that do no pay bills. I spoke to the loan place and they did say I was making constant payments and they just stopped. Reason being I was in and out the hospital and when you have an illness such as I do your mind is usually focused on NOT XXXX! BUT, per XXXX that has nothing to do with anything.

XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX - Received a phone call stating, My name is XXXX XXXX & am trying to reach on behalf of a debt we are trying to collect. If this matter is not resolved within a timely manner, my client will take legal action against you. Please return our call so that we may resolve this matter. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX - I was scared about being sued over a debt I was unaware I had, so I called them back & spoke to XXXX XXXX . XXXX informed me that she could not divulge any sensitive information to me without first verifying my identity. In order for me to find out, she forced me to tell her my full name & SSN. I stupidly did so believing legal recourse was happening. She then explained I owed roughly {$900.00} to a payday lender from XX/XX/XXXX. After explaining I havent opened a payday loan for several years, that Ive never received any correspondence via U.S. Mail concerning this debt, nor is the debt listed on my credit report I was then told if I do not make a payment arrangement that day that their client will be forced to file a lawsuit/grievance against me. I have paid one scam debt collector before & wanted to look further into this. I told her I would call her back. XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX - I spoke with her & requested validation of the debt. I explained that if the debt was, in fact, legitimate that they need to send me the paperwork where I signed for the loan & that they are the collection agency in charge of the debt. Upon review of the validation, I would then set up a payment arrangement for the Friday in which I was to be paid on. I was told I would receive correspondence in the mail by XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX at the very latest. XX/XX/XXXX - I received a Credit Card Authorization and Settlement Release Form in the mail from a Premier Recovery Group. The letter stated the file number, claimant, original account number, & current balance. It only states this document is to confirm that we have authorized and approved a payment plan option on the above referenced account. I had not given them permission to debit my checking account. Only until I receive the debt validation & call them to verify the debt IS mine were they to take a payment from me. XX/XX/XXXX - I have not received any validation of the debt or any copies of the paperwork for the original loan. XX/XX/XXXX - They tried to take a payment of roughly {$430.00} from my account. I contacted my institution & reported the card numbers as stolen. After they were unsuccessful at deducting a payment, harassing phone calls began. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX - I spoke to a manager at the claimants Headquarters about this debt collector. My personal information was taken & searched in their database. According to the claimant, I do not have an account in default/collections with them. Furthermore, she stated they do not hire third party debt collection agencies & that their collections are done with one contracted company. I was then told they are NOT affiliated with Premier Recovery Group. The manager went on to mention they have received several complaints from customers about Premier Recovery Group trying to threaten payments out of people. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX - I called Premier Recovery Group & began to explain the conversation I had with the claimant. I was immediately cut off & placed on hold for a supervisor to yield the call instead. As I was explaining all that the claimant had said, I was being yelled at & talked over. She eventually refused to allow me to talk & then immediately hung up the phone. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX - I called Premier Recovery Group Back after being hung up on. Upon answering, I asked to speak to a supervisor. After I was placed on hold, they hung up the phone & refused to take further phone calls from me. For the past several months, the threatening phone calls are starting again. They call everyday with a pre-recorded message about how if I do not settle this debt they will be forced to file civil lawsuits and/or grievances against me. Ive tried disputing this debt with the three credit bureaus, but cant seem to get anywhere.

A man named XXXX XXXX called from Premier Recovery Group ( as I found out later ) and left a message stating he was investigating a loan fraud in my name. I figured it was a scam so I called to ask to be removed. I was not loud or confrontational, but I was blunt that I wished to be removed. He sounded frustrated and spouted off the loan date, store and my SSN and asked me to confirm that info. I told him I would look in to it myself. When I said that he asked me if I wanted to just go ahead and settle it right then. This is when I realized I was speaking with a collector, since he never identified himself or his purpose as such. I said again that I would look in to it and he then very firmly told me to seek legal council and hung up. He never told me what company he was with, only who the debt was with. I called XXXX XXXX and got in touch with the company who held the debt and the woman who answered was extremely rude. She stared off listening to my story and said that he told me that because the parent company had a fraud investigation dept. I asked if that was his title. She said she did n't know, but began spouting off the " this is an attempt to collect a debt ... '' line. I asked for his name and she said she could n't give it to me. I told her that was ok because I figured it was on recording anyway. She then said ( yelled ) that my refusal to pay my debt was also on recording. For the record, I never refused to pay anything. It was simply not the issue I was trying to discuss with her. I asked for her name, which she provided ( XXXX XXXX ) and then asked if she had an employee ID or any other identifier. She yelled that I had no reason for wanting her info and that she was done with me and advised me to call a lawyer because they will come after me. I asked her to please not hang up on me and she yelled something else that I do not recall and then the line went momentarily to hold music before her supervisor came on the line. I did not catch his name. I was admittedly in tears, not while talking to XXXX, but immediately after she disconnected because I was beginning to be afraid. He repeatedly told me to calm down ( I was by no means hysterical or anything ), even after I was clearly and repeatedly assuring him in a calm voice that I was ( I believe he was trying to instigate me ). He blew me off saying he would look in to it and he did n't know who the original caller was. He confirmed the number was theirs though. So I called the original guy back myself and he answered with his name and I then hung up. I was afraid to speak to him again. He then called me and said I needed to quit calling him ( I only returned the one call and then did call and listen for his name ) I was n't harassing him or anything. He also said that I am " going to see '' that and again said to call an attorney. He said my " best thinking got [ me ] in to this situation '' ( I am not sure what that means but I think he basically called me XXXX. In any case, it was an insult ). I called a bit later to speak to someone else to legitimately discuss the debt, as this was the first notice I had of it. But she just confirmed my number and said that the systems were down and they could not help me at the time. I called a few hours later and I got a similar response. This was all on Friday XXXX/XXXX/16. They have called me back this week, but I have been at work and unable to answer. They have called at least 4 times today alone. I have XXXX XXXX 's messages and can send them if needed.

There is a woman named XXXX, her extension is XXXX. The phone number to this debt collection company is XXXX. I never can get a clear answer of the name of this debt collection company, but when I did call after receiving threats from XXXX, she continued to try and get personal financial information of mine from me. She, or whoever else continues to call my mother 's house and leave information about the debt and what they are going to do if I do n't pay it. They continue to say they are going to take everything I own, going to sue me, I was talked very rudely to on the phone. I do not appreciate how this was handled. I do not dispute the debt, however, things could be done in a lot more nicer and professional manner. I would like them to cease contacting my mother 's house. I do not live there. I do not know why they continue to bother her with my personal business. The website I used to get the loan was okay to begin with ... the way people were able to get the amount of a loan needed, and pay it back on the next payday. Their policy was owing 10-15 % plus the amount of the loan. Then, for some reason, they changed their policies, not giving really any good reason as to why the change, and the website was not explanatory enough as to charging a certain interest rate per day that you did n't pay the loan back up until your payday. I kept it up for a while, until it just got so ridiculously expensive, and I just could n't do it anymore. I could not afford what they were trying to charge me and it was racking up charges left and right..just bewildering me. What I do not understand now, is why all the hostility over a debt? Why call and say I 'm in trouble, I 'm being sued, they want my financial information, they want to wipe everything out of mine, rather than it be something that just goes on my credit at the end of the day? Does it have to be this hard? I understand it is my debt, but when I can not do anything about it, and I continue to get harassed and heckled about it, even my mother 's ... should something be done to relieve my situation?

XXXX XXXX and Government Agency regarding my deceased mom Government funds continually deposited into my mother 's account after she passed away ( four years ago ). Government sent reclamation, bank has not returned the funds, money is in account and always has been. Government has deposited, withdrawn, and re-deposited funds continuously. I have been told it is my problem, not the government or the banks! I DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS, the bank is holding them, why do n't they return them???? I have now been turned over to collections, the amount now due is up about XXXX to XXXX XXXX ( fees, interest etc. ) They have also turned this over to my credit history. I have been called and threatened with arrest, garnished wages etc. I DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY, NEVER DID, I AM NOT ON THE ACCOUNT, HOW IS THIS MY DEBT? There is no missing money, it is in the account which I have no access to. It is not really a debt since the bank has not returned it, how is this my debt? I must emphasize to you, the money is in her account, I ca n't get anyone to resolve this. I am now facing legal issues ( and expenses ) for a problem not mine, not created by my mother or myself. We have XXXX huge agencies who have failed to do their jobs and I am being harassed and threatened for money that has never moved except for the government taking it and putting it back. Who is responsible for these transactions, not me. Why has this gone so far and for so long, seriously, how is this even possible. Please help me to resolve this and to have my credit restored. I continue to be humiliated, defamation of character, embarrassment, threatened and the mental stress of this has gone beyond imaginable. Someone please resolve this, I do not know what else to do.

I received a voicemail from XXXX providing an ID number of XXXX and requesting I contact them at XXXX. I contacted them and spoke to an individual named XXXX ( no last name provided ). He informed me that he was with Premiere Recovery Group, and that they were representing a payday loan company called XXXX XXXX XXXX. He stated that I owed this company {$750.00}. I asked him for the contact information for XXXX XXXX XXXX, and he did not provide it. I then asked him to provide Premiere Recovery Group 's address, and he asked me if I was willingly going to pay the debt. I informed him that I would not comment on the debt, and that all I was looking for was information at this point. He hung up on me. I called back, someone picked up the phone and hung up immediately. I called back again, and XXXX to a XXXX XXXX. I asked her for their mailing information, and she hung up on me. I called back and spoke with XXXX XXXX. I asked him for the mailing information, and he provided their mailing address ( XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX ). I thanked him, and ended the call. I called back again, and spoke with someone named XXXX. I asked her for a validation of the debt. She transferred me to someone else who did not identify himself. I requested they mail me a validation of the debt, he said that previous letters had been sent out by other debt collection firms. I requested clarification of his statement by asking him if that meant Premiere Recover Group had not sent a letter. He then said that they have sent information out to a previous address of mine. I informed him of my new address, and requested a debt validation letter be sent. He stated that one would be sent out today.

I have received phone calls from Premier Recovery Group ( XXXX ) XXXX at my place of employment. The first time it was an extremely rude gentleman on the phone who I kindly requested to not call my place of employment. He stated " that does n't work for him '' and continued to harass me about when I would pay him so I had to hang-up. A few days later I received a call from the same company while at work, but this time it was a woman stating she was told by her coworker that I wanted her to call me back while I was working so I could give her my information to give her money. I told the woman that was false and asked her to please not call me at work - she continued to get increasingly harassing so once again I had to hang-up. The same woman called right back to my place of employment and proceeded to tell my coworker who answered the phone that she is sending paperwork to garnish my wages from my paycheck because I wo n't pay her and asked my coworker for the office fax number. I have asked Premier Recovery Group on multiple occasions to not call my work and now they are telling my coworkers I owe debts and they are going to garnish my wages. My boss caught wind of what was going on and now he wants to know why somebody is repeatedly calling the office and threatening to garnish my wages. Premier Recovery Group has crossed the line in several different ways. Premier Recovery Group CAN NOT disclose personal information to my coworkers about personal debt or say they are going to garnish my wages nor can they continue to call a professional business when they have been told not to contact me at my place of employment more than once.

The call started out half human half automated and it rambled on about it being XXXX services and stated that they needed to hear from me or my attorney by today and to refer to file # XXXX. The call came from XXXX. During the call it gave me the option to call back or speak to a representative by pressing XXXX. I elected to speak to a representative. A man named XXXX went on to state that I have an outstanding payday loan that was for {$2500.00} that I never paid back. He states that if I do n't pay they will have the sheriff serve me with documentation to appear in court either at my home or place of employment. I advised him that although he has some of my information not all of that information is mine. He became very nasty calling me a liar. I then advised him that I am not paying a debt that I do not owe and is not mine. I requested that he mail information from the original debt to me, he stated that I had already gotten this information years ago and ignored it. I then asked him to email it and he stated that they do n't send emails. He then gave banking information that I no longer have because I had an issue with payments being taken out for a company that I did n't know. He then told me that he has my SSN and that in the end I will have to pay up or go to jail. When I asked about being sent a noticed by his company due to being taken to court and that I never got it, he stated that it was my problem not his. I obtained a cash to pay day loan and fell on financial hardship. Recently, I 've been receiving what I would consider harassment from their debt collector, PRG. According to the CFPB law, the debt collector can not contact my personal references more than once. They called two of my family members and I with the message This is a final legal notification for a XXXX XXXX. My name is XXXX XXXX contacting you regarding your case. The case number is XXXX cases pending to be filed against you with the XXXX XXXX County court. If you want to take care of it outside of court you need to contact me immediately at XXXX. She also left a messages with them stating that I'vd written bad checks that bounced. Although it is not true ... this is extremely embarrassing. It has caused conflict with my family and my character is being smeared. I contacted the CFPB and they stated they should only use the references to find my location, not to threaten. I also contacted the company to get their business information. When I asked for the address, she placed me on hold for a few minutes and provided XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, NY XXXX and then when I asked for their professional business license ... she transferred me to XXXX XXXX who did n't want to provide any information and stated I would have to contact the state in order to obtain the number. In addition, she said she has surveillance of me walking into the loan place, using my XXXX XXXX card the funds bounced and they will be filing with the city tomorrow if I do not satisfy my debt.

I received a call from a XXXX number that left a voicemail. The voicemail states that I committed a crime by actively deceiving a financial institution and that a complaint was filed. That if I did not respond it would mean my automatic refusal. I called the number back and a XXXX XXXX answered. He looked up my number, and asked if the information was correct. then he stated he was an arbitration officer and that they were asked to arbitrate an agreement for payment of a debt, and that I had to make payment arrangements today. if I did not then they would file a suit against me. when I asked for written validation he stated that they were not able to do that without me making a payment. He said he could not send anything in writing until he had my credit card information and a payment was arranged. When I asked for further information he repeated the same. he said I was not allowed to contact the original creditor at all. when I requested that he allow me time to validate the debt with the original company and to validate his right to collect such debt he said that they would have my drivers license suspended and have my car registration renewal blocked if I did not get this handled today. He never once identified himself as a debt collector. never once said the call was recorded. never truthfully identified himself. he refused to validate anything in writing. now when I call the number back it goes to a busy signal.

I have been contacted by a company that goes by the name of Premier Recovery Group. They are stating that I owe money to an online loan company that wired money into my account in XXXX of XXXX. I told them that I 've only taken out a loan from an online company once and it was in XXXX and I paid the company back in full. I told them that I would look through my bank statements. I went through my bank statements and only had deposits from the company that I worked for. I called the company back to verify the bank account and then told them that there was never a wire into my account. They said that money was wired to my account and asked how i wanted to settle. I told them that there is nothing to settle other than the fact that I never received a loan at that time and that I was happy to send them my statements. The person gave me a fax number that was disconnected. I called back to ask why I received a disconnected number and to ask for their agencies license number. The person told me I was given the wrong fax number and that he did n't have the license number and was n't where aware there was one. I asked him to transfer to someone that could give me that information. The person over operations said she was not able to give that information and that it was private. I told her that is all I needed to know. I checked the second fax number it is also disconnected. This company is a fraud.

Several debt collectors have repeatedly called me, my family, and friends in several states with calls at all hours. They are referencing payday loans from XXXX and XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a voicemail from PRG regarding a civil matter and a claim in imminent default. Was unable to ascertain name of individual that left message. Phone number left was XXXX. I called number back and was told this was a debt from XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of ~ {$570.00}. I asked to receive some verification of the debt, and was told that PRG does not have this information. I was transferred to another representative, a XXXX XXXX the " Settlement director. '' XXXX seemed to be confused as to why I could possibly want the debt verified, and proceeded to verbally badger me about the " type of person '' I am, and that they do not have the information. I repeatedly asked to have some written verification of the debt, and was told flat out " no. '' I then told the representative that I did not want to be contacted anymore by them, and was told " no '' to this as well. I repeated that if they were not going to send me any kind of verification of the debt, that I did not want to be contacted by them again. I was told no, they will keep calling until they get their money. Very rude and seems super illegal. Isn't this what the fair debt collection act was supposed to help with? I received a call at work by a debt collection agency, the person did not identify themselves. They launched right in to saying that I owed this debt and I needed to pay and if I did n't they could garnish my wages and would file a judgement against me. This is the XXXX time they called and I have previously told them I can not take personal calls at work. He also stated that he had my social security number and bank account number and my work number was the only number they had to contact me at. Well if they have that much information my work number is not the only way they can contact me. I know my rights and I know they are violating the FDCPA. I was contacted today by Green Square collections at XXXX and told this was in reference to a loan that I had outstanding with XXXX XXXX XXXX and the balance is {$1700.00}. Per the representative they will be willing to settle this debt for less or set up a payment arrangement. I asked for verification of the contract before agreeing to set up payments and was told " this was nothing more than a stall tactic and good luck in court. '' The representative then disconnected the call. I will not set up a payment arrangement until I receive a copy of the original loan agreement as well as a payment history. I have been advised that this loan was not legal in the state of sc. Green Square violated my rights as they are refusing to validate the debt, and I am appalled by the way that I was spoken to. They have refused to disclose the original creditor, and when my client requested they send him a letter with information about the original obligation, the original creditor, or the method of calculation of the debt, they told him that " they do n't do that. They will not give me information unless I give them my social, and other information. I do not owe late/unpaid money to anyone, have never received any notice by mail, and my credit report is clean. They have threatened arrest, subpoenas, and are now calling my parents and siblings. They almost always have a different phone number to call or that they are calling from. They will not give me their address, or the company they are " arbitrating '' for. Their calls get increasingly hostile and their voicemails state that if I do not resolve it they will render a decision against me. I keep telling them to do that since I owe no money, but still they call stating the same thing.
