the debt owed was {$430.00}. We received a call from another company saying they had the debt and we needed to pay it. I can't remember when they first made contact but they took the first amount out as follows XX/XX/XXXX - {$60.00}, G.C.A.B XX/XX/XXXX - {$60.00}, GREATER COLLECTION XX/XX/XXXX - {$60.00}, XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - {$60.00}, G.C.A.B XX/XX/XXXX - {$60.00} G.C.A.B XX/XX/XXXX - {$60.00} G.C.A.B XX/XX/XXXX - {$60.00} G.C.A.B FOR A SETTLEMENT AMOUNT OF {$390.00} THE MONEY WAS TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT THAT WAS SET UP THROUGHT THE COLLECTION AGENCY THAT TOLD ME THEY REPRESENTED XXXX XXXX. THE " COLLECTION AGENCY '' THAT FRAUDED ME OUT OF MY MONEY WAS GREATER COLLECTION AGENCY BUREAU XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NC XXXX PHONE NUMBER ( XXXX ) XXXX FAX NUMBER ( XXXX ) XXXX EMAIL : XXXX. I allegedly owe for a " hot check '' from 2012 from a PayDay Loan and Greater Collections Agency Bureau calls from XXXX and keeps threatening to send out a process server. When I call them they rarely identify themselves and hang up on me when I ask questions about my rights. They do n't mini-miranda, when I asked if they were a collections agency they said they were acting as a mediator. I asked what that means and did not get a specific response. I believe this company, if they are even legitimate, are attempting to bully me into paying something I 'm not aware that I owe. They said they 'd send a debt validation letter, and when I asked what we can settle on they said they 'd call me back. They did n't call me back after 30+ minutes so I called back and they conveniently had an amount for me to pay. I still have no idea if these people are legitimate or not.

The third party collection agency name GCAB collections left threatening voicemails to myself and my family members about an old debt saying if I don't contact them they will come to my home and arrest me. How rude and to top it off this debt went to bankruptcy and they also have the wrong year I took the loan out. They should of called the place that I took the loan from first and confirmed the date I took it before calling and leaving nasty messages that were unnecessary. This is a Third party collection and had no legal right to call my family members. P.S. Loan was taken XX/XX/XXXX NOT XX/XX/XXXX

on XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from my Mother-in-Law in California that she received a call from XXXX XXXX of GCAB ( XXXX ) and that I was getting sued for a debt owed. I called XXXX back immediately and after verifying my information told me they were filing a class action suit for a XXXX XXXX credit debt. I told her it was part of our bankrupt several years ago and that I would call my lawyer to give them this information. She stated she had my lawyers information and would note it in my file. Calling a elderly family member is wrong when I do not owe any money.

I have received NUMEROUS calls from ( XXXX ) XXXX that threaten legal action with no information regarding who I owe, what the debt is, what the amount is, etc. They have also contacted my son, my employer, and my daughter 's place of employment. This is harassment, plain and simple. I tried to call them back and received a recording that I did leave a message on requesting information via US mail and to cease and desist with the phone calls. In the recording they list their company as GCAB. An internet search for that company pulls up a very sketchy looking website.

I received a call XX/XX/XXXX from a person from GCAB ( Greater Collection Agency Bureau ) They knew my full name, ss #, bank information, everything. Said I had a debt from an online payday loan company in XX/XX/2013. I've never done that. The person that took the loan out was a different name. He said he'd give me until Wednesday to figure it out or they will file a judgment and it will be on my credit. I'm not sure what to do. This is the number they left. ( XXXX ) XXXX-XXXX

I have gotten voice messages from this company advising that law enforcement/legal parties were involved and that I absolutely had to give them a call back. When I reverse searched the phone number, I discovered it was a debt collection agency.
