I contracted to have a phone system installed at my business. I thought that I was contracting directly with the installer, I did not realize at the time, that the equipment was leased and that the contract which I signed included a separate 5 year lease for the cost of the equipment until I began receiving bills from Great America Financial Services.
Great America has made it very difficult to process my monthly payments. They will not allow me to put the payments on a credit card, they email my statement and I have to send payment by mail, which they don't process before a late fee is incurred. The payment amounts vary monthly, so I can not set up a recurring payment. Although I am one entity, they structured the account as 2 separate accounts so if a payment is late, I incur 2 late fees of {$28.00} per account. They have suggested that they can take automatic payments from my bank account but I feel that this company is unethical and do not want to grant authorization for them to access my bank account. My last payment, which was mailed on XX/XX/2022 did not clear until XX/XX/2022, which indicates that they are not processing the payments in a timely manner.
