In the beginning of XXXX XXXX, I entered into an agreement with Great American Finance to finance the cost of medical treatment at Front Range medical center in XXXX CO. The agreement offered an interest free finance plan at $ XXXX. The first automated payment was due XXXX XXXX, and the XXXX of every month, thereafter. Also in XXXX, I had XXXX XXXX so I wasn't as aware and alert to financial transactions posted to my checking account ; mid XXXX, I realized that the automatic payment had not posted for payment to GAF. Upon contacting them, I discovered that since my payment had not been made XXXX XXXX, I had waved my right to the interest free payment terms. I explained that I was unaware as to why GFA did not post the payment, and irresponsible tho I was, I had used the funds to pay for medical expenses and no longer had the payment in my account. I explained that I was prepared to resume automatic payments XXXX XXXX going forward, and that I wanted to request review of GFA 's decision to cancel the interest free contract terms. I asked them to please contact me ASAP with their review/decision. If they determined they would reinstate the terms, I would make the XXXX payment as soon as possible. I felt they were not taking into account the hardship I was expering because the customer service XXXX told me their policy was to only reconsider accounts effected by COVID. I believe their policy to be unfair to others experiencing finance hardshipm I was uncomfortable with the communication so I was just awaiting confirmation one way or another. XXXX XXXX, the payment posted to my account ; therefore, I thought the disconnect had been resolved even without contact from GFA. I believe that was a reasonable assumption. In XXXX, I intended on making the missed payment ; however, my checking account was extremely compromised on XXXX XXXX, which effected several scheduled payments, except for that XXXX XXXX, GFA payment. Due to timing, GFA payment was posted just before every XXXX was stolen from my account, making it impossible to make up the missed payment. I notified all of the effected creditors of my financial hardship and worked out a repayment plan. I did not even think about contacting GFA! I got new a checking account number after resolution of the theft, but again, since my XXXX payment was made to GFA without incident, I thought that account was in good standing. In early XXXX, watching for posted payments, I noticed the GFA payment had not been posted. I immediately contacted GFA to find out what happened. When I talked to customer service, I was told that the XXXX XXXX was declined. Automatically, my mind was moving at breakneck speed trying to understand why/how had the payment not cleared. I immediately realized it was because of the new checking account no. and associated debit card no.! I apologized for my lack of contact, and I then asked about the interest free terms. I was told, no GFA would not reverse the decision because of the missed payment and the declined XXXX payment. I was quite upset! I told her that I had not received any communication from GFA regarding their decision or given an opportunity to make the missed payment under original terms. I believe my circumstances were not even considered. The rep would not even listen to my explanation, but then did tell me the interest free terms were reinstated in XXXX, but would no longer be offered. I told her that I wanted to make the XXXX payment, but then wished to speak with a supervisor to have the decision reconcidered. After making the payment, she transferred the call to her supervisor, XXXX. Once he answered the call, I knew I was up against a wall. He immediately went into quoting a " script '' and would not consider my argument! I was so frustrated because I felt I was not being heard. I told him that my other creditors were being more than reasonable and had even reached out to me offering ways to make me whole while their ( GFA ) company was not willing to practice good customer support of any kind. GFA never communicated their decisions/resolution until I contacted them. I believe their scripted handling of customer services are very poor and they do not offer any benefit to current or future customers. I want GFA to admit their culpability and reinstate the original interest free terms.

i recently had XXXX deaths in my family back to back i lost my dad in XXXX i called GAFCO which is great american finance co and spoke with ba representative by the name of XXXX which i dont no if its her real name or her alias for the company but i explained to her the hardships i had recently went through as well as on top of that my bank account with XXXX bank had been hacked and the bank was returning everything until they were able to figure out whi had hacked into my personal checking account and where i spoke with this representive XXXX around XXXX/XXXX/XXXX or XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and explained to her my whole entire situation she was sympathetic well at less i thought we talked for about 30 minutes or so she stated to me she would wave my nsf fees, late charges etc ; i thanked her over and over again and i did a payment through my saving account through the same bank XXXX bank and dated the payment to be auto drafted on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX for {$100.00} and some change in which they did received and since then i have been harassed with letters through the mail headed notice of pending 30 day delinquency take action today stating my account with great american finance company remains delinquent and soon will become 30days past due if i fail to make a payment and to avoid being reported delinquent to all XXXX major credit bureaus by making my payment today, and it is in my best interest to bring account current now to protect my credit rating and if applicable the same as cash ( zero financing ) option will be void if any installment, or part of any installment, is ( 10 ) or more days delinquent 2 times during the term of the loan stating amount past due is now {$73.00} this letter was dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX needless to say when i spoke with this XXXX she told me do not worry she had reinstated my account its back same as cash and that i had no worries which again took place between XXXX/XXXX/XXXX or XXXX or XXXX/XXXX/XXXX she also went on to conversate with me about her previously working for same agency i once worked name XXXX and asked me was i still there and that she was there in XXXX i called gafco several times after speaking with this representative to make sure she made the corrective changes to my account and each representative i spoke with all stated my payment posted on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and they show she put in the system for the fees to be waived she never once stated it had to be submitted for approval or anything told me i was fine did not have anything to worry about then i called to get my payoff balance after my payment cleared my saving account on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX i called around XXXX/XXXX/XXXX asked for payoff amount i was told by representative it was {$960.00} but to wait a few days and call back because the fees had not yet been deducted from my balance and now i being called, left voicemail messages about a past due balance and received a letter and had a representive call my neice XXXX 3 times seconds apart all the same day which was last tuesday XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and also called me i explained to the representative while on my lunch break i did not owe anything my fees per XXXX XXXX was all going to be waived and i gave authorization for a one time payment to be auto drafted from my saving account dated for XXXX/XXXX/XXXX for {$100.00} an it was deducted an now im being told by letter, harassing phone calls several times a day not just to myself but my neice XXXX l as well who i listed as a reference i have screen shots the calls that were made to my neice after she spoke with a rep on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and explained she is not me and that she was my neice and that she owed them nothing and that she was at work and for them not to call her again and that called her a total of 3 times that day alone with calling me the same day, i feel so mentally drained with all of this she has made me appear as a non payer and i embarassed my neice now knows all my personal business.

1. I have a personal line of credit with Great American Finance for XXXX XXXX. 2. The line of credit has two promotional balances with no interest for 18 months. Those promotional balances have to be paid off after 18 months to avoid the interest that is accruing every month. 3. I have been having difficulty obtaining information or transparency from the company regarding my promotional balances, especially including the interest amounts that are accruing ( and which would be charged after 18 months if the promo bals. are not paid ). 4. Also, for some reason the company stopped posting my statements online in XXXX XXXX, meaning that neither the XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, nor XXXX statements have posted. 5. I called and spoke with an agent in customer service apx. one month ago, and was advised promo balance # 1 had a deferred interest amt. of {$270.00} and an promotional period exp. date of XXXX XXXX, XXXX ; and that promo bal # 2 had a deferred interest amt. of {$270.00} and an exp. date of XX/XX/XXXX. 6. After making my monthly payment, I called back for updated balances on the two promotions ( given that they ought to have both gone down on account of the payment ). The agent *could not* tell me what the updated promo balances were ; nor the updated accrued finance charges. 7. The agent also confirmed that my statements for the last several months, which were not available online, were also not available to him or to customer service. He requested that those back statements be made available online and to customer service, and that they be mailed to me. 8. Despite this, they were never mailed to me and they were never placed online or made avail to customer servicer. 9. Today, after the statement cycled, I called back for the updated promo bals. I was advised by XXXX in Customer Service that promo bal # 1 was {$400.00} ; and promo bal # 2 was {$2200.00}. He said he did not have/ could not provide the updated deferred interest info. It took a lengthy interrogation for him to admit that. He did not even seem to understand how promotional balances worked and I had to explain multiple times what the accrued deferred interest was. 10. I advised XXXX that I had previously been able to receive this info but that I wanted an update. I advised him that I had previously been promised that statements would be mailed to me and made available online. 11. He said he could have a manager call me back, which I requested. He said he could either request the statements be mailed or have a mgr. call me but not both! ( what an outrage, especially after the statements had already been promised to me ). 12. I explained that I would be filing a CFPB complaint and asked him to advise his supervisor. He said it was my decision to do so, but at first refused to advise the company, asking what good it would do to tell his supervisor? I said that I wanted to notate in the complaint that the company was already aware of the case. After several frustrating rounds in which I asked him yes or no would he advise his supervisor, he finally said yes. 13. I also said that the company was harming its customers by not being transparent and that they are the ones who stand to profit at the expense of their customers when their customers are hit with accrued deferred interest charges due to a lack of information and transparency to the customer so that they are unable to make informed decisions. Great American Finance Company ( GAFCO ) is preying on innocent consumers who believe they are doing the right thing when paying a " settlement offer '' that in no way is legitimate or forthright. GAFCO is taking advantage of the debt collection industry by fraudulently taking money from unsuspecting consumers who believe their debt ( if one exists ) will be settled, documented and fairly reported under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) governed by the Federal Trades Commission ( FTC ). Unfortunately this is not the case when dealing with Great American Finance Company ( GAFCO ). GAFCO has 25 days from the date of this 'formal ' complaint with CFPB to rectify fraudulent, extortion practices the company consistently indulges in regularly and remedy the harm they have bestowed upon a single mother of XXXX boys under the age of XXXX XXXX XXXX, who believed the payment ( she was taking from her needy household ) in the amount of {$1400.00} would settle her account ( which was never divulged ) and be noted with the XXXX major credit bureau companies GAFCO promised ( in writing ) before running off with the money and not following through on the promise. Furthermore, the mother continues to receive bills for a debt she 's never been told was for. GAFCO is engaging in " unjust enrichment '' at the expense of consumer 's well-being. There are numerous online complaints referencing this type of practice demonstrated by this finance company consistently. If GAFCO does not rectify this matter within the 25 day timeline, this document will be 'tendered ' as evidence and registered with the Illinois Attorney General XXXX XXXX XXXX Consumer Protection Division to begin the process of a 'class action '' lawsuit protecting the general public of Illinois and interstate commerce. By sending bogus debt statements through the United States mail is committing acts of Federal violation. Furthermore, GAFCO keeps forward dating documents to keep the consumer indebted to them. This is the worst act of fraud, misrepresentation and public harm consumer has ever seen. Consumer accepted a settlement offer of {$1.00}, XXXX on a debt consumer did n't know consumer owed. Consumer paid XXXX XXXX 2016. Consumer was promised that consumer 's debt ( whatever it is ) would no longer be a debt and that under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) all bureaus would be notified of consumer 's payment. To date this has not happened. GAFCO is still sending amount past due notices to consumer requesting payments of {$84.00} and claiming consumer still owes {$2100.00} as of XXXX XXXX 2016 and XXXX XXXX 2016. It continues to go on and on. GAFCO is dating the statements way ahead. This fraudulent process shall cease immediately. Consumer wants whatever debt GAFCO claims consumer owes taken off consumer 's debt report and cease contact with consumer immediately. Consumer wants a paid-in-full notification from GAFCO and consumer wants a statement stating the debt is paid-in-full and is remedied. Consumer is a hardworking mother who does not have money to throw away. Consumer believed consumer was doing the right thing when accepting a settlement offer that consumer now knows is bogus. GAFCO should be ashamed of themselves engaging in this kind of fraudulent practice which harms the general public and its trust. Consumer appreciates the CFPB for being diligent in its efforts to oversee such blatant dishonest practices. Consumer thanks CFPB very much.

1. I have been having severe, ongoing issues with this company. 2. There are two promotional balances on this account, with zero percent / eighteen month no interest. I have been experiencing ongoing issues getting accurate information about the two promotional balances, including accrued interest amounts ( pending interest that will be waived if the respective promo bal is paid within the 18 month period ). 3. Promo balance # 1 currently has a balance of {$220.00}, expiring XX/XX/XXXX. Promo bal # 2 currently has a bl of {$1800.00}, expiring XX/XX/XXXX. 4. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with XXXX in Customer Service for Great American Finance. She created a plan for me to pay equal payments of {$260.00}, which is greater than the min payment of {$220.00}. I specifically requested for the payments to be applied as follows : {$81.00} towards Promo Balance 1 ; and {$180.00} towards Promo Bal 2. I made a payment for the {$260.00} to be applied accordingly. XXXX said she would forward my request to management. 5. The company previously wrote in a letter to the CFPB regarding my now-closed complaint : " When payments are received that are in excess of the minimum monthly payment, the additional funds are distributed equally between both purchases. For example, if an additional {$50.00} is remitted, {$25.00} will be applied to the first purchase and {$25.00} will be applied to the second purchase. If a customer requests that the additional funds be entirely applied to the first purchase, that request will be promptly accommodated. '' 6. However, the company did not apply the payment pursuant to my instructions, according to my calculations. Promo bal 1 came down from {$320.00} to {$220.00}, a reduction of {$99.00}, whereas I had specifically requested that it be reduced by {$81.00}. Promo bal 2 came down from {$200000.00} to {$1800.00}, a reduction of {$160.00}, whereas I had specifically requested that it be reduced by {$180.00}. XXXX could not confirm how my payment was applied ( even though basic math produces the information ). She could not transfer me to a manager. She said she would call me back with the information and that a a manager would call me. 7. Previously when promised a manager call back from Great American Finance, I have never received one. Nor have a received a call back this time. 8. I spoke with XXXX at Great American Finance, after calling back. She said the min payment amount of {$220.00} consisted of a min payment of {$77.00} for Promo bal # 1 and a min payment of {$140.00} for Promo bal # 2. Based on my calculations, the company split my overage amount evenly between Promo 1 and 2 ( {$22.00} applied to each above the minimum also applied ). 9. Therefore, it is clear that despite my request, my hours on the phone, my prior federal complaint, my meticulousness, my proactivity, and my willingness to pay extra, the company failed to follow my request for how my payments by applied. 10. In conclusion, the company is negligently mishandling payments, refusing to honor customer requests for how payment amounts above the minimum are to be applied to the promotional balances. By refusing to keep its promises and by mishandling customer funds, we customers are left in constant fear of being charged Deferred Interest on the promo balances, no matter how proactive we are, no matter how meticulous we are, and no matter how much we are willing to pay before the promo expiration date.

On Great America 's finance website, it states my " outstanding '' balance to be balance with interest. ( I had to figure that out myself, it only states outgoing balance ). This is deferred interest but no where does it state deferred interest or principal balance just " outstanding balance '' .They offered me 18 months same as cash. I do not owe interest yet. If I pay the loan off I would never owe. I would think this would be against Fair Credit and Charge Card Disclosure Act of 1988 or truth in lending Act. Since they tact on interest prior to it being due. I also don't see my interest rate listed on my coupon book. As I was about to rebudget my payment plan to include interest when I realized the outstanding balance was incorrect. What this loan company may do is not show the principal balance so people don't know what it is and don't pay it in time so they get the balance plus interest while being able to advertise " same as cash '' loan. This practice is dishonest and deceitful. I called and spoke to 3 different people. The first person when I started to complain about the balance being incorrect told me " don't do this ''. I am very much allowed to complain about your either illegal or shady practice. Another one told me a manager 's manager would be calling me and never did and the third one transferred me to loan dept who had no idea what I was talking about. I am currently calling back to get the manager of the manager to speak with. The rep informed me I was lied to about the " manager '' I spoke to earlier was not a manager. The rep is again telling me what I already know I don't owe interest if I pay off balance. Where do I see that balance? Not on payment book! Not on website! Where is the principal balance so I don't overpay. Finally got the manager who stated it is on the contract only but they never update and list the principal balance anywhere. They do not send out statements. I do not have the contract so I don't know what the interest rate I am trying to avoid is. It is not disclosed on coupon book or account info on website.

I had an account with Great American Finance. I paid this account off in full in XX/XX/XXXX. I was never late nor did I ever miss a payment. After I paid this off I continued to get bills saying I still owed a balance. Each month I called Great American Finance and I was told " don't worry about the bill, we see you paid this off {$0.00} balance we will send it to be updated '' then I started to get negative reporting on my credit report - 30 days late. I called them again and they said they would update the credit reports and credit bureaus - I waited XXXX and now XXXX - each month they keep reporting as 30 days late - this has dropped my credit by over 30 points each month. I spoke to a manager at Great American Finance on XX/XX/XXXX and it was suppose to be corrected and they were suppose to send me paid in full letter and get my credit updated. On XX/XX/XXXX when I called back the company hung up on me 2 times and refused to allow me to speak with a manger. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this with the company and they will not stop reporting this as negative when the account was paid off early in full no late payments. I have also opened disputes with all three of the credit bureaus - however Great American Finance keeps putting this back on there each month. I am at a loss at this point and need assistance in correcting this companies incorrect reporting on my credit. I am wanting Great American Finance to stop reporting false information to the credit bureaus and correct what they have already reported falsely. I am wanting all three of my credit reports XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, updated to reflect that I have never been late nor have I ever missed any payments. I want it to reflect good standings that is correct and also I want my points back on my credit score that were taken due to this false reporting. I also want it updated that the account is paid in full with no balance owed. Thank you for all your help as I have struggled with getting a resolution in dealing with this company.

Great American Finance Company is horrible to say the least I have never missed a payment when I open the account and made all my payments up to date. I went online and made my payments always. In XXXX XXXX I notice the company report a 30 day late when I was not late, I called them to discuss the issue and they stated that its because I had not full paid my total due in XXXX XXXX, I then explained the issues and also stated that I was never informed that I had a late payment in XXXX XXXX, in which GAFCO stated that it was a late fee that just kept on adding up. I explained that was very deceptive and misleading and sent several letters to the Manager and still no response not even a call back. I spoke with a Customer Service Representative who stated that she would look into the matter and correct the late payment. GAFCO never corrected the late payment then in error they placed another late payment for the month of XXXX XXXX in which again I called to dispute the matter and even stated that how could I be late when I paid up to 3 months in advance in XXXX XXXX. I was very frustrated after that and got the Attorney General involved and now they continue to report " Account Charge off '' on my credit bureaus for the last 6 months. The same account they have reported as a " charge off " for the last 6 months, which puts a negative hit on my CRA just to lower my scores. Great American Finance Company has continued to the FDCPA 807. False or misleading representations. As they continue to violated federal law, by not False and misleading information provided to the credit bureaus with proper notice within the required timeframe, and I have evidence of such, via certified mail receipts, you must now remove the item. Any other action ( or in-action ) on your behalf will result in a small claims action against your company. I will be seeking {$5000.00} in damages for the following : 1. ) Defamation 2. ) Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud 3. ) Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act

On or about XX/XX/2016, I purchased a sectional from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, IL. When the item was delivered it was damaged and it had bed bugs. I incurred a cost because I had to fumigate. The item was immediately returned. I was refunded for the item. XXXX XXXX requested I come in to reselect an item. I went in reselected but I was told the item would not be available for two months. I was ok with this because my home was under construction and I was XXXX at the time. I received a call in XXXX of XXXX from a XXXX XXXX representative indicating that my item was discontinued therefore it would not be delivered therefore I was told that I needed to come in and reselect.By this time I was frustrated and had no interest to purchase from XXXX XXXX. I was also undergoing a XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX so I was in and out of hospital. My focus was my baby. I never received an item from XXXX XXXX XXXX nor did I go back to XXXX XXXX. I am currently trying to purchase a home and this is affecting my credit. I have reached out to Great American Finance and the only thing they can tell me is that the item was delivered. I have gone to XXXX XXXX XXXX and they tell me that their delivery guys is an independant company. I have asked for proof of signature on who received the item and I have not been provided with such. I have been back and forth with Great American Finance they are making no effort in investigating the matter and XXXX XXXX is not making any effort to help me solve this matter. Great American Finance hung up the phone on me. Again I never received an item from them. They started sending me letters recently to settle but I don't owe them money if I never received an item. I had no idea this was on my credit report until I ran my credit in light of trying to purchase a home. This is the only item affecting me.

I have sent several requests to Great American Finance per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S. Code 1681, Fair Credit Reporting Act section 623 ( a ) ( 1b ) and section 623 ( b2 ) requesting the show me the documents required by law that they have to hold me responsible to this debt. Also according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), you are required by federal law to verify - through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract - any and all accounts you post on a credit report. At this time I am submitting this as so that the FTC will have on record that I have attempted on numerous occasions to have this company obey the law and they have refused to produce the documents they are required to have on file to continue to report this derogatory information. I have been given no original contract bearing my signature or documentation of any kind. It was advised that I try to have this issue resolved though the mediation of the CFPB before I filed suit in state court seeking remuneration for several things including but not limited to : Violation of the FCRA, Violation of the FDCPA, Defamation of character and Identity Theft as they have opened this account without my knowledge or consent. I have lost opportunities due to this illegally reported information remaining on my credit profiles. I am attaching a copy of the most recent USPS Certified mailing sent to this company on XXXX XXXX, 2016 which has well surpassed the 30 days allowed by law for a response.

After my first complaint, XXXX ( Legal Manager ) from Great American Finance contacted me and tried to brush off the complaint. She let it slip that others are having just as much difficulty as I am understanding the account portal. I am still under the belief that they are violating 1026.7 Comment 7 ( b ) -1.ii of the truth in lending act regulation z. The account balances in the account portal are those with interest rates. I am on a deferred interest plan. Per the regulation above they must list the balance that the deferred interest is applied to. I, among others have submitted complaints against this company. I asked XXXX for statements. She said no. I asked for new coupon book, she refused. I asked for updated portal, the portal is still not updated. my 18th month is coming up and i should not have to over pay and get a refund 30 days later just because they don't want to list the deferred interest balance. How is this legally allowed to continue. I was told by CFPB that I since I refuse to accept their answer of not updating portal in timely manner, I can just keep making complaints. That is fine with me. If they are committing an illegal action above, I want them investigated. I attached what the portal looks like for me. The balance includes interest rates that I don't owe but there is a fine print statement that says the balance is accurate as long as good faith payments are made. That is false advertising.

In XX/XX/XXXX I sent 2 request one certified and 1 email requested verification of an account, I also sent documentation of the request to all major credit reporting agency. After 45 days and no response from creditor, but getting notified by credit agency that my dispute was complete and verified as accurate, I filed a complaint with you CFPB the complaint was against the creditor reporting the debt and the creditors all 3 majors. We purchased furniture at XXXX XXXX who stated we were approved for a line of credit through Great American Finance back in XX/XX/2020. My husband contacted GAF at to see when payment will be due he was told that statement wasnt generated it can take up to 45days for first statement to generate and that we will receive statement in the mail of when payment is due and the amount. We never received statement we have been staying at the same address since we acquired the furniture.We then reached out to GAF in XX/XX/2020 regarding not receiving statement and how it shows they have been reporting late payments/nonpayments since XX/XX/2020. The original creditor is also the collection company. I have made several attempts to get the collection depart to accurately report the account. I initially reached out to them notifying the joint applicant filed bankruptcy and its not reflected on the account. I was advised that I would still be held responsible for the account. My intent to file a complaint against Great American Finance Holdings, LLCs ( GAFH ) due to the inaccuracy of my credit statement balance based on a promotional purchase at XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. The statement balance reflects monthly interest charges that should not be applied until XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I reviewed my statement balance which included an interest charge of {$46.00}. It was my understanding at the time of purchase that the promotional period included 12-months with no interest. On this same day, I called GAFH speaking with a representative to attempt to clarify or resolve. On the companies website, they show a due date which is not the correct due date. I made payments for two months and found out that I was late even though I was making payments by the date that I thought was the due date. I told the company what happened and made sure that I paid by the due date they told me on the phone and eventually paid the account off in full. I asked if the late payments could be deleted because their due date showing on their website is not my actual due date and they have told me no numerous times. I even told them this was holding me back from buying a house and they did not care and said no. When you are late, they do not call or send an email notifying you that you missed a due date so you can catch it before it 30 days late. I received a store card from XXXX XXXX through Great American Finance, and they have been violating the terms of my financing agreement by calling me every month demanding I add my banking information again - stating it hasnt been added correctly. I opened an account with great American finance company XX/XX/2013. Under the contract if balance was paid within one year there would be no interest charged. I paid the the account in full on the last day of the yr term. I later received notice from the company that they did not process the payment until the following day, and stated that because of this the finance charges were added to the account balance. I received an inquiry alert, I called the company to inform them I didnt not request any line of credit. I was told theyll note the account as fraud. I received another notice that an account was open, I called again to inform them this is not my account I was ask to send a police report. My girlfriend and I financed a washer, dryer and a mini freezer with Great American Finance via XXXX XXXX XXXX and they told us we had 12 months to pay same as cash but they did not say that if we were late on our payment one time that we would lose that deal and then be charged 30 % interest.
