This is XXXX of XXXX complaints that have now haunted me for way too long. XXXX foremost I have a major problem with the initial placement of my loan in collections, I was making XXXX payment to granite state management in NH, where they led me to believe XXXX easy payment took care of all of my loans. Not to mention they also led me to believe that my loans covered my entire schooling (which they did not and XXXX.). Long story short, I eventually was contacted by a collection agency by the name of XXXX and told I had to pay XXXX more per month to them for this XXXX private loan that was sent to collections all while still paying on the other loans. I was confused and upset. I disputed XXXX but then began paying this company XXXX a month for fear of them ruining my credit. I was very young when I made this choice to start paying them and I feel now like this was predatory in nature. Then after paying for nearly a decade I assumed that I would be close to paying them off (now XXXX) and figured I would give them a call. All of this having gone on without any legal correspondence (not XXXX letter mailed to either of my addresses that I had lived in that time), only to find out the balance hadn't been dropped but a measly XXXX. I was furious and demanded records of my payments, and a copy of my original contract. I received these things and found that all of my payments had been marked as "attorney"payments and there was no breakdown of principal, interest or collection costs... just attorney payments. I did some research and found that there were many things going on that were not only unfair but appeared to be illegal. I called them back, informed them that I had looked into this and was told it was not XXXX but the original lender who drafted this. When I called granite state management the refused to speak with me. I again called XXXX and told them I would settle the debt for XXXX. The original loan was for XXXX, I was told my balance was XXXX after paying for more than XXXX years and that they would settle for no less than XXXX. I then finally got a letter informing me I could dispute the debt in writing. So I did just that. I received a call from a different collection agency regarding this matter and explained the whole thing to the gentleman on the phone, he agreed that something wasn't right and said he would loom into it. I never got a call back from him, and then XXXX days ago I got a call from XXXX again. They now are telling me that I owe them XXXX!!!!???? I got quite upset at the man on the phone, he told me that he would knock it down to XXXX and settle. I told him that I wanted to take care of this debt because I want to buy a house which is why I called them XXXX. He then spun that back on me and basically said i could not buy a home because this debt would hurt my credit... As this was a recorded call I asked him if he realized that it was illegal for him to say that to me and he asked me how? I understand this is a small amount of money, and I also understand that one must pay back their debts, but had I not called them apparently id have been paying them for the rest of my life with no idea the debt was growing not shrinking. I am furious and unsure how to handle this problem and these XXXX predatory companies. Please help me.

Greetings, I am writing you as I have already made several phone calls and I feel that I am starting to exhaust every avenue available to me. I will get directly to the point. I have a student loan that was opened through Granite State Management Resources ( GSMR ) that I opened in XX/XX/XXXX. That loan is currently in Good Standing, and under the Income Driven Repayment Plan. However, I have a number of late payments that are showing up on my credit report from this loan. These late payments occurred because I had a family member kill herself by suicide in XX/XX/XXXX, after a long struggle of mental illness. As a result, I received custody of her XXXX year old son only 3 weeks after her death. Taking a child in who is from an abused and neglected home has been harder than I ever imagined. At the time I was completely unaware and was never educated on when these student loans came out of deferment, and I was never counseled on the options to keep the loan in deferment/forbearance while grieving and trying to care for a new child in our family. After several months of going back and forth with the collections department, I finally discovered the option to put the loan into the Income Driven Repayment plan. I still however, did not realize that the single payments I had been making were for XXXX different loans, and that each loan would show derogatory marks on my credit during my hardship. I was never advised on loan consolidation, therefore my credit was hit multiple times for the same late payment. I am not disputing the fact that these payments were late. I am simply writing this letter in hopes of receiving a good will gesture from GSMR. I have worked extremely hard to get back on my feet and repair my credit. I am at a point now where our family is growing and my husband and I are attempting to buy a house. Having these late payments on my credit report is making it very difficult for me to get financing for a home. As I said, I understand why these late payments are reporting, but I do not feel that they truly reflect my credit worthiness and my true payment pattern. Things would have been much different if I had been counseled and made aware of my repayment options and loan consolidation. I am asking, as a good will gesture, that these late payments please be removed from all three credit bureaus. I have taken the time to educate myself on how to avoid this from happening in the future, I have taken responsibility, and I have worked extremely hard at bringing all of my loans current and keeping up a steady pattern of positive payments after the Income Driven Repayment period ends in XX/XX/XXXX. I know a lot of borrowers have struggled immensely at making timely payments and settling on fair repayment agreements with lenders over the last few years, and I would like to think that I am in the minority of people who have taken the time and effort to straighten my situation out with little to no help from anyone but myself. Hopefully my efforts will be rewarded and you can see fit to remove these late payments from the three credit reports. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I took out {$39000.00} of Perkins Loans in XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX to attend XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX School to get a XXXX XXXX with a XXXX Certification and a XXXX XXXX XXXX Certification. At no time did my school financial aid office or my lender inform me that I would qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ) program that went into law in XX/XX/XXXX. I attended XXXX XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. During my exit interview with the school 's financial aid department, I was advised to consolidate into Stafford and PLUS loans and defer my loans until I started XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, but was not advised on the proper type of consolidation that would allow me to benefit from PSLF, even though I was attending a program to prepare me to XXXX in the exact schools the PSFL was designed to serve. My current loans are now near {$70000.00}. My loans were serviced by Granite State/XXXX. At no time during the original consolidation was I informed that I qualified for the PSLF program. Shortly after my first year of XXXX, I had difficulty making my full loan payments. Granite State/XXXX advised that I put my loans into the Income Sensitive Repayment Option in order to make payments that covered accrued interest and no principal. Again, I was not informed that PSLF was an option, even though I had to report my occupation and type of employer for the ISRO. I taught for XX/XX/XXXX full school year, ( making 12 payments that would have qualified for PSLF ) then needed to take a medical leave for XX/XX/XXXX taking a medical deferment for 9 months. I taught the XX/XX/XXXX school year. Again, I was not able to make my full Stafford Loan payments. This time Granite State/ XXXX advised me to put my loans into the Federal Family Education Loan Program ( FFELP ) making 12 payments that should have qualified for PSLF.. Again, I was not advised that I was a candidate for PSLF. I was not able to XXXX for the XX/XX/XXXX school year, but did make FFELP payments to cover interest rather than return to medical deferment. I have now XXXX 5 consecutive years for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in various positions that have all qualified for PSLF. I found out about the Public Service loan Forgiveness program from a coworker ( Who had graduated when I did and had made 7 years of qualifying payments toward the 10 year program ) I attempted to apply for PSLF in XX/XX/XXXX. My application was denied because my loans were not consolidated into the FEDLoans program correctly. My consolidation was not properly recognized until XX/XX/XXXX. Because my school and lender did not inform me of the PSLF and because of the delay in Granite State/XXXX properly consolidating my loans, I currently have 16 qualifying payments out of the 120 qualifying payments needed to complete the PSLF program. Had I been properly advised, I calculate that I could have made 84 qualifying payments by now.

I HAVE DISPUTE THIS ON XXXX XXXX. XXXX AND I WAS INFORM BY A LETTER FROM GRANITE STATE MANAGEMENT THAT THE ERROR ON THERE PART HAS BEEN FIXED AND THE ITEM IS NOW SHOWING BACK UP ON MY XXXX AND XXXX CREDIT REPORT. IT NOW 11 MONTH LATER AND THE ITEM THAT I HAVE DISPUTE WHICH SHOULD OF NEVER BEEN TAKEN OFF OF MY CREDIT REPORT IS NOT SHOWING UP AT ALL. A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON THE DISPUTE I HAD BACK IN XXXX OF XXXX. ON MY XXXX CREDIT REPORT IT WAS SHOWING A WRONG DATE OF LAST DATE OF ACTIVITY ON THE ACCOUNT. I WENT AHEAD AND DISPUTE THIS WRONG DATE WITH XXXX AND IN THE PROCESS OF DISPUTING THIS THE ACCOUNT WAS DELETE OFF OF MY CREDIT REPORT AND A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER IT WAS DELETE OFF OF MY OTHER CREDIT REPORTS. I CALLED GRANITE STATE MANAGEMENT ABOUT THIS ERROR AND THEY SENT ME MY PAYMENT HISTORY ON THIS ACCOUNT WHICH SHOWED THE DATE OF LAST ACTIVITY WAS XXXX OF XXXX BUT ON MY XXXX CREDIT REPORT IT SHOWED A DATE OF XXXX OF XXXX. I SPOKE WITH SEVERAL REPRESENTIVE ON THE PHONE FROM GRANITE STATE MANAGEMENT REGARDING THIS ISSUE. THIS ACCOUNT WAS A CLOSED ACCOUNT AND IT WAS TRANSFER TO XXXX XXXX XXXX AT THE TIME IT WAS TRANSFER THE ACCOUNT WAS CURRENT AND IT HAD NO LATE PAYMENTS AT THE TIME IT WAS TRANSFER. SECOND LIKE I SAID EARLIER IT WAS A CLOSED ACCOUNT IN GOOD STANDING AND ACCORDING TO THE CREDIT BUREAU IT STATES ANY ACCOUNT CLOSED AS PAY AS AGREE REMAIN ON ONE CREDIT REPORT FOR 10 YEARS. THIS ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED IN XXXX OF XXXX AND THIS ACCOUNT IS NOT DUE TO COME OFF UNTIL XXXX. WHEN THIS ACCOUNT WAS DELETE OFF OF MY CREDIT REPORT IT LOWER MY CREDIT SCORE AND JUST I SAID EARLIER THE ACCOUNT WAS IN GOOD STANDING. ANY LATE PAAYMENTS ON THE ACCOUNT GET REMOVED AFTER 7 YEARS OF THE DATE IT BECOMES LATE IF THE ACCOUNT IS CURRENT. IF THE ACCOUNT WAS NEVER CURRENT AT THE TIME IT WAS CLOSED OR TRANSFER THEN IT WOULD FIT THE 7 YEARS DEQUENCY BUT IN THIS CASES IT DOESNT FIT THAT. ACCORDING TO GRANITE STATE MANAGEMENT IN THERE ANSWER THAT THEY GAVE ON XXXX XXXX XXXX THEY STATE AS FOLLOW AS A RESULT OF THIS DISPUTE THE PROCESSOR INCORRECTLY INDENTIFIED THIS ACCOUNT AS HAVING AGED BEYOND THE REQUIRED REPORTING PARAMETERS AND SUBSEQUENTLY DELETED THE TRADELINE. Automatic payments were set to go out every two weeks from my XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) account to a student loan account with the Department of Education managed by Granite State. Payments were being made until the account was below a certain amount. Auto payments were stopped from XXXX XXXX to the Department of Education on or around XX/XX/2019 due to a lack of funds and XXXX continuing to send and then charging a insufficient account funds fee of {$17.00} on XX/XX/2019 and XX/XX/2019. XXXX advised me there was no way to not submit the payment if the account was below a certain threshold and auto pay would send the check or other means anyways even if the funds were not there. As such, auto pay was requested to be stopped so insufficient fund fees would stop. Shortly thereafter I started receiving phone calls from ( XXXX ) XXXX stating they were a payment company affiliated with XXXX and needed my credit card number to make the {$35.00} dollar payment since the last one had been returned. They had my name, phone number, and the amount of my last payment. I did not give them my credit card number and I then called XXXX XXXX to ask about this. XXXX said they would investigate and I never heard anything back. I have blocked the ( XXXX ) XXXX number and that number is still attempting to call two to three times per day. The only way this company would have received my personal number and the payment amount is through XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/2019 I noticed that {$35.00} was taken from my XXXX account via ACH noting the following : USDOE GRANITE ST RETRY PYMT. This was not authorized. I contacted XXXX XXXX and they told me there was no way to verify if an ACH request was authorized by the account holder or not and that I would need to pay a {$30.00} fee to stop the payment. In addition, this payment would have put the account into a negative balance and another {$17.00} insufficient fund fee would be applied by XXXX XXXX if a new deposit was not made. Main complaints : - XXXX XXXX financial practices to recoup revenue on unwarranted insufficient fund fees - XXXX XXXX not verifying ACH requests are authorized ( acceptance on file, code sent, etc. ) - Department of Education or their affiliate using unauthorized means to collect payments ( ACH request, phone calls, etc. ).

Last year I asked Granite State Management to provide proof of the loans I took out and blocked payments until the provided proof. They provided only two or three things and not a complete list of my loans for which they are taking payments from me. This is by no means sufficient evidence but to keep myself out of trouble I removed the block from my bank account on XXXX XX/XX/2018 so they could resume payments. They did not take a payment for XXXX but they did take a payment for XXXX, which formally cleared XXXX XX/XX/2018. They have not taken a payment since, despite there being money in my account for my loan payments every month. They send unsolicited links to " information about my refusal to pay my loans '' even though I told them that unsolicited links are dangerous and I will not risk my personal information that way. Send snail mail please. They refuse and still send links, accusing me of failing to pay but click their link anyway. I've responded before but now they have blocked all of my emails, including their general info email listed on their website. XXXX is also harassing me now about my supposed failure to pay when I know for a fact that Granite State is just not even trying to take my payments. I verified with my bank that the last payment they took cleared XXXX XX/XX/2018 but they haven't even tried to take a payment since then. They said that GSMR can give me trace numbers they can look up and I tried to ask GMSR for that info but as I said they have blocked all emails from me. You can see where there were no delivery failures to my responses to failures, despite using a general info address. It really seems that GSMR is trying to default me when I could have been paying this whole time. They are not taking the payments they are supposed to take every month and as I said my bank verified that they aren't even trying anymore. I feel that they are targeting me and harassing me and deliberately trying to damage my credit, increase the interest amounts, and hurt my chances of going back to school all because I had the audacity to demand proof of the loans for which they are charging me. They know that the block was removed considering the successful payment they requested and received XX/XX/XXXX.

I went to a XXXX university and like many other students, I took out private loans. After graduating in XXXX XXXX, I could n't find a job. I took the first job I could get paying only $ XXXX/hour at a XXXX. XXXX of my student loan payments was over {$400.00}. It would 've taken XXXX paychecks to pay it. I called to see if there was something they could do but because it was a private loan, there was hardly any flexibility. I did the best I could to pay it but I found myself scraping for pennies. I worked XXXX jobs, seven days a week in order to send in checks. I switched to the graduate repayment plan but overtime, I would pay more interest. Little did I know how my money was being applied. I apparently accumulated {$620.00} worth of late fees in XXXX and part of XXXX. I called to see if I could get these waived and the representative said they could n't do it unless it was an error on their part. I put in a request to speak to a manager but all they could do is say they 'll put in the request and have them call me back within XXXX hours. After a week of not hearing from them, I decided to call them back and they were finally able to transfer me. I told the manager my whole story and how I was going through financial hardship at the time and if there was any way I could get these late fees waived. I also added that it is SO frustrating knowing I worked too XXXX hard just so my money can go into late fees instead of paying off the high balance on my student loans. To no avail, the manager just said, " I wish there was something I could do but I know the request would get denied. '' I just feel like these student loans are the death of me. And there are no programs out there that could help. I 'm in the right track with these loans as of XXXX. I like to tell myself that I 'm doing the right thing by paying these loans instead of taking the easy way out and placing it through bankruptcy. But I feel like these lenders are n't willing to help in any way. They have the abilities to waive late fees and yet, they make it so hard on people who are trying their hardest to do the right thing and pay back these high interest loans.

I have student loans with Granite State Management and Resources. When I look at my statement online, the loan appears in XXXX groups. I sent an amount slightly higher than the balance of Group XXXX to completely pay it off ( in addition to a regular monthly payment ). I had no past due amount. I submitted instructions in writing asking the lender to apply the amount in excess of the regular monthly payment to the principle of Group XXXX to completely pay off that loan balance, which would leave me with just XXXX loan. Additionally, I spoke on the phone with a representative and confirmed my instructions. The representative said that my payment would apply as instructed, paying off XXXX of the loans. Next month, I checked my account history and saw that my payment was NOT applied as instructed, but instead was applied to XXXX loans in percentage ( more money went to the principle of a higher balance loan, and less money went to the lower balance loan, which is the XXXX I attempted to pay off. After calling the lender again, a representative said that they are unable to follow my instructions for payment and can only apply my payment to XXXX loans. I asked how they determine how much to apply to each loan, and the representative said that it was up to their ( the lender ) discretion. You will notice from the attached documentation that at the time of payment, I received and was able to print a receipt form Granite showing the entire amount being applied to Group XXXX, but in reality it never happened as you can see from screen captures of my payment history and current account details. My written instructions, which I have submitted to Granite a day before the payment, are attached to this complaint as well. The statement contradicts my rights to instruct a lender on how to apply my payments, and allow me to repeat that I had no past due payments, and I sent enough funds to cover any current payments and interest on XXXX loans in addition to the payoff amount for the specific loan. The lender refuses to follow my instructions for payment application.

Granite State Management & Resources ( GSM & R ) is the loan service provider to whom I will be making payments for the next 6 years. I believe the company has a practice of purposefully delaying the initiation of loan payments in order to collect more interest on the debt they own. In XX/XX/XXXX I completed the required financial aid exit counseling on https : //studentaid.ed.gov/sa/, and I selected an income-driven repayment plan. I chose this option because, based on the studentaid.ed.gov training, this plan would result in the lowest interest payment over the life of the loan ( saving me approximately {$20000.00} ). I selected the REPAYE plan, and I stated that my income would be {$85000.00} beginning in XX/XX/XXXX. I started working two weeks after graduating, and I was expecting to begin making payments immediately. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from GSM & R, stating that my loans were in the 6-month grace period, and that GSM & R had placed my income-driven repayment plan request on hold. I did n't question this delay, but I should have. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter stating exactly the following, " As you requested, we applied or updated an income-driven repayment plan for your qualifying student loans. Your qualifying federal student loans are on an income driven repayment plan. Your monthly payment amount for qualifying loans will be {$0.00} for 12 months, beginning XX/XX/XXXX. The letter literally said, XX/XX/XXXX. When, I called GSM & R and asked to begin making payments immediately, I was told that I would have to submit a request the REPAYE plan again via https : //studentaid.ed.gov/sa/. I did this. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with a GSM & R representative who confirmed that they had received my application for the REPAYE plan. They told me that it would be processed in 30 days. Based on this experience, I feel that GSM & R is trying to maximize the amount of interest in collects from graduates by nudging them into a position where they delay the initiation of loan repayment for as long as possible.

The Dept of Education transferred a Plus loan from XXXX XXXX year XXXX / XXXX to Granite State Management & Resources. I did not receive a notice of transfer. I did not receive anything from Granite State in the mail either. I did receive e-mails from Granite State indicating that I should set up an account. They did not reference an account # or the Plus loan for my son. It looked like a Phishing email, frankly. Anyway, I was not worried since on the credit application we checked that it would be deferred until after Graduation. Then, out of the blue and via e-mail only, I get a notice of delinquency and a threat to trash my credit rating. Still nothing ever in regular mail. I call them to see what this is all about and they say that the loan is due now and that I am past due for 3 payments. Why did I never receive anything, via e-mail or snail mail to this effect? Well, because I have to set up an on-line account to see the payment messages. Why are you collecting on a loan that was not supposed to be due until my son graduates? We did apply for the loan at StudentLoans.gov and we did check the option of deferring until after graduation but Granite State ignores that and just states : " Oh, the deferrals do n't always work. You can go on-line to request that ''. Nice to know. So I finally go on-line and set up an account but there is no way to defer to post graduation unless you have a hardship or low income. Is this true? First I 'm hearing about it. So much for check boxes on the application. Not wanting to trash my credit rating I had to set up payments immediately, paying past due amounts and agreeing to automatic withdrawals. I still have no explanation as to why none of this was communicated properly in e-mails or snail mail nor why I ca n't defer until after graduation. And their customer service personnel on the phone are atrocious. No explanation, no help, just " that 's the way it is ''. Please, tell the Dept of Ed. to stop selling loans to these people. They do n't seem to know what they are doing.

In XXXX, XXXX there were 2 loan disbursements- {$860.00} & {$1100.00}. The company also did disbursements in XXXX, XXXX ( these disbursements do not show in the account history ). The disbursements were returned to GSMR to the school, because the classes were dropped. The following personal payments were made by me XX/XX/XXXX- {$1100.00} & {$700.00}, XXXX, XXXX {$750.00}, and XXXX, XXXX {$1200.00}. The XXXX payment was made to pay the loan in full, however at that time, I was unaware the disbursements were being returned. I learned this on late in XXXX, XXXX when I received a bill from the school. I looked at the GSMR account online and the history showed what I described above. Disbursements equal to {$1900.00} and Payments equal to {$3800.00}. I called GSMR on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Each time they could not explain to me how much they disbursed. On each call I was told I would have a call back within 48 hours. I did not get any returned calls. I also called the school in this time frame and they were unable to explain to me what happened, however they said they would call me back, which they did and they explained the disbursements were returned and told me GSMR admitted to them they owed me a refund. On the XX/XX/XXXX call to GSMR, the rep admitted to me they owed me a refund, however it would be 8 weeks before I would get the check! I asked what the amount of the refund would be and she didn't know but PROMISED to call back XX/XX/XXXX with an accurate refund amount. I told her if I did not get a call I would be returning the {$1200.00} payment. She did not call. Now on the website the disbursement amounts are the same however the payment amounts are different. I have proof what I paid them and when. They haven't applied all the payments to loan and they are NOT being transparent with the loan amounts or how where or when the payments are being applied. .

Please consider a review of the Federal Student Loan program, and the conduct of Federal Loan servicers. Item : 1. Overpayments being used to offset future payments. As a student loan borrower, if you make an additional payment, or pay over the monthly amount, servicers are applying the overpayment against future month 's payment. This is incorrect. The payment amount is based on the amount of time that has been agreed to in paying off an loaned amount - any increases in payment or payment speed should shorten the principal amount owed - and thereby the amount of time required to pay. What these Student Loan servicers ( Granite State Management & Resources in my experience ) are doing is maintaining the original amount of interest due by not reducing the principal with amounts over the payment amount or payments that occur earlier than the agreed-to payment dates. They should not be allowed to receive any more amounts in interest than what is equivalent to the interest rate times the amount of funds x time borrowed. They should not be allowed to " tack time on '' to increase the total interest payment amount, or maintain an artificially-higher level of payment distribution towards interest than towards principal. The requirement to a separate payment ( by mail, phone, etc. ) in order to get additional payment amounts to apply towards principal is in no way designed to assist the borrower. This is equivalent to a pre-payment penalty, and should not be allowed to be applied towards federal student loans just as prepayment penalties are no longer allowed to be applied towards private bank credit cards or any other private loan. This is ESPECIALLY predatory, since the loan can not be discharged in bankruptcy and certainly should not be allowed with Federally-guaranteed loans. Thank you for your consideration, and your service.

Granite State Management has ruined the last 14 months of my life. I have not been able to rent an apartment, apply for any credit or to be able to continue to build my financial status. I have been requesting since XX/XX/XXXX for GSMR to check the system to rectify the error on my daughters student loan account. Initially, I was told the issue was with my daughters college, XXXX XXXX XXXX. GSMR has been informed that my daughter is no longer a full-time student and it automatically took the student loan out of forbearance. After the third call, I went to XXXX XXXX financial aid office, my daughter, XXXX and I spoke to XXXX. I was told this can be cleared up quickly. We contacted GSMR on the phone and informed them the information will be sent from the school. After GSMR received the information, I was informed there was a different reason as to why my daughters loan was in deferment. I was told I never signed a deferment to begin with. GSMR requested for me to sign another deferment. I did not agree with their advice, however if I did not it was going to make my credit worse. I signed temporarily, in hopes that the school would be able to provide proof of my statement. Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with a supervisor from XXXX XXXX Financial Aid Supervisor, she expressed she had the same problem with her student loans while in college and accessing the Federal Student Loan Database was her solution. She explained that GSMR has full access to the Student Loan Database and should have been able to verify this information without hardship. I have continually requested for GSMR to please check all records that may be privy to such information and they continued to reflect negative false information that was harmfully to my credit report and my familys livelihood.

In the fall XX/XX/XXXX semester, I had attended one university, and then later transferred to a new university for the Spring XX/XX/XXXX second semester. I withdrew from first university, but enrolled as a full time student at new university. Granite State management on XX/XX/XXXX, notified me that my enrollment had changed to withdrawn or had dropped below a full time student, I immediately contacted them and was able to provide all the correct documents to show that I was in fact still a full time student, but had just transferred. We were able to work through the issue and my loan was put back in deferment. On XX/XX/XXXX, they contacted me again stating that my enrollment had changed yet again, which it had not. I checked with the university and I was still enrolled full time and even already had my enrollment confirmed for the fall XX/XX/XXXX semester, which I had provided when the first time the company contacted me on XX/XX/XXXX. I call the company again immediately and they refused to even look at my current enrollment and said they were unable to help. They offered for me to fill out deferment paperwork again, which I did, but they will not listen to me that I believe that they are using my former university 's status of my enrollment, and not the school I had transferred to. This reoccurring issue is ridiculous and they are unwilling to listen and provide me with any information. They blame the university, tell me to call them, although that is far from the case. This issue could easily be resolved, but they seem to be making it very difficult to be able to work through this.

Granite State Management never sent the invoices to my correct address. They sent invoices to my father XXXX XXXX 's address in XX/XX/XXXX. I was living in XXXX XXXX, NV from XX/XX/XXXXXXXXXX/XX/XXXX and I now live in XXXX XXXX, CA. I never received any bills or invoices. Furthermore, they never emailed me, called me, faxed me or contacted me. They have zero accurate information about me. I only knew about the invoices when I came back from visiting XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX to my parents home address. By that time, Granite State Management had already had my invoices as 120 days late. I paid immediately the amount due and I have never missed a payment when made aware of the invoices. This can easily be seen with my account balance history. However, Granite State Management REFUSES to change these late payments and correct them. I filed multiple disputes with all 3 credit report agencies and none of them will make any changes because Granite State Management will not make the corrections. I never received any invoices or bills from Granite State Management. I was living in Nevada and can prove my residency from XX/XX/XXXX on. I was also never contacted. Granite State Management never spoke with me directly once. I have never made a late payment in regards to this account and never will. Granite State Management needs to correct the late payments and remove them. I can provide and will provide all documentation needed.

My servicer is Granite State Management Resources ( GSMR ). First, they removed the checkbox for " Do not advance payment date '' from the online payment interface, so that overpayments were automatically applied to future payments, rather than to reducing principal. In order to access the option, you had to make a double payment. Then, the removed the box altogether, even for more than double payments. In order to have your payment applied to principal, you had to follow up with an email through their online " Contact Us '' form. Then, several days later, they would reapply the payment to principal. They did not allow you to make this a permanent request, you had to follow up after every payment. After making my payment today, I attempted to follow up online through their website, but the online contact form is now gone. You have to follow up by phone ( M-F, XXXX XXXX ; conveniently, I am on XXXX ), mail, fax, or they now have a " Visit Us! '' option with an address in New Hampshire. Really?! This is ridiculous. I have been trying to pay off my loans as soon as possible, but GSMR keeps increasing the difficulty to do so. When I have spoken with the servicer on the phone, I have always questioned these changes, and requested that they reinstitute the options that make repayment easier and simpler. They are not interested in this feedback.

For the last 15 months, I have been making payments on my consolidated student loans through Granite State Management. Due to other financial responsibilities, I have had decreased the amount I have been paying ( mine are currently deferred because I am enrolled XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX University for XXXX XXXX ). At the start of these 15 months, my payments were exactly what was needed to keep up with interest ( {$170.00} / month ). I have been using the " pay by group '' option to make the interest payments per group. However, GSMR has NOT been applying the correct amounts to the correct loans, despite the " pay by group '' option they allow on their payment website. Some months a loan group will have {$0.00} accrued interest while another will have {$210.00}, despite my paying the full interest amount on the latter the previous month and none on the first! I have called them twice about this, and they simply say to " wait 30-60 for proper processing. '' They have never once processed it per group as I have stipulated, the result of which is that it is impossible for me to keep up with the interest on specific loans at my current payment rate, while other loans get principle payments that I have NOT stipulated! This is beyond irritating and frustrating - it is costing me money! This is NOT acceptable.

It is on record with the XXXX DOE and apart of the fax system at XXXX XXXX XXXX, in XXXX, NY. I have also been on unemployment since XX/XX/XXXX. I have sent them documentation on several occasions proving my unemployment. Granite State Management & Resources, is also telling me that they have not received the information, even though I have an ok that that information was received through fax. I have recently e-mailed them proof of my unemployment. They continue to add on cost to my student loan, refusing to issue me my granted student loan forgiveness from the XXXX DOE. They have also ignored the fact that I have been on unemployment from XXXX and then again consistently since XX/XX/XXXX.

After my federal school loans went into default, I was sold by a collection company on a " rehab '' program that would remove defaults and negative information. I was mislead severely, as GSMR had me in several " groups '' with multiple loans, and in one of those groups was a private loan. I had no idea this loan was n't included in my rehab and of course no one mentioned anything. Well 15 months later my private loan was charged off and I only found out because I was denied a mortgage. So I called gsmr and they are n't even reporting the positive payments to XXXX, they have so many redundancies in my credit reporting that it is sickening. They are destroying my life. I have disputed every account over the past 9 months and they fail to update the info and the CB 's do nothing. They wo n't even let me into a payment plan on the charged off loan, they said I ca n't consolidate my REHABED loans because one is subsidized and the other is n't. This is causing my installment balance to be twice the loan amount because of forbearance!!! I am pretty sure they are re-aging my debt as well on the private loan. They ca n't show me the payment that was last made.

When i got my credit report there were things that i didn't do. I contacted Granite State Management about a loans that appeared on my credit report. I explained that I am a victim of identity theft and the loans was opened fraudulently by someone else that is using my identity, I sent in proof of my identity theft. I sent a police report, affidavit from Federal Trade Commission, affidavit from DMV, and a statement from me explaining the situation.I have several attempts to rectify this situation and it's still here affecting my credit. It's affecting my life and i didn't even do it. I have never applied or accepted and loans from Granite State Management, so it should be removed as soon as possible. My credit report says the amount is for {$9900.00} and the account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX. I have knowledge of this account because i have never applied for any loans. I have called GSMR multiple times over the last year regarding my loan payments. I have been enrolled in autopay for a number of years and noticed in XX/XX/XXXX my payments stopped being collected for no apparent reason. I was informed by GSMR that this was because I entered a graduate program and the loans were in deferment. I requested that my loans not be placed in deferment, and that I wished to continue making payments on my account. I was informed by a customer service representative that I would occasionally miss one month, as their process was automatic, but there were notes made on my account and the autopay would pick up the following month. Whereas I didnt fully approve of this explanation, I went with it as I didnt feel like fighting. I notice today that apparently they have not pulled a payment since XX/XX/XXXX. I feel this is an unethical business practice, as they cancel my autopay, with no notice to me, and continue to rack up interest on a loan that I have been attempting to pay. This organization makes it so difficult to repay your loan in hopes that they can continue to collect interest from you.

This problem originates with a school that has since closed down and left few options for continuing education without starting over and it ends with the shady practices of the financial aid department who promised me they were finding me all federal loans and than had me sign off on a loan private loan from a institution I was provided little information on. A naive and unlearned XXXX XXXX XXXX had no knowledge that this was a private lender and thus required immediate repayment of loans and at a then exorbitant rate.

She stated that there would not ( I believe ) as long as I made attempts to pay and because I called. I asked if I needed to make a payment that day. She said no because I said I would mail it. I was not given a specific day that I needed to pay. I mailed in a payment about a week later but XXXX the made a negative report against me. Right now I 'm paying what I can but its not nearly enough to cover the past due balance, let alone the monthly minimum. After having to declare bankruptcy in 2011, my credit had improved to XXXX. When GSMR reported me 120 days past due, it dropped overnight to XXXX. Among other things, that affects my ability to qualify for employment. But I think the damage is already done. With regards to my account. The principal balance is $ XXXX. Unpaid interest is another $ XXXX. Outstanding balance is {$130000.00} Interest rate is 7.375 %. Past due amount is {$6100.00}. This does n't even include the private loans. My wife has student loan debt of her own around {$90000.00} with an interest rate north of 6 %. Our combined incomes lead the loan servicers to believe we can afford XXXX minimum monthly payments. This is simply not true. As her credit is better, we pay her loan payments in full to preserve her credit.

For 18 months now, since I began closely monitoring my loans, I have had to call my loan company ( Granite State Management & Resources ) almost every month due to misapplication of loan money. I try to make targeted payments to pay off specific higher interest loans, and many times they simply spread it across all loans despite my specifications given both online and over the phone. The last couple of months, they have adjusted the amounts paid slightly on my loans, and have actually increased my auto-debited amount without my consent. The amounts are negligible for just me, but if this is happening to many of their clients, they could be making a whole lot of extra money by slightly adjusting payments, most so slight that I imagine many people would n't notice. I 'm tired of having to call and call just to have them do the same thing again the next month. There 's no reason my auto-debit should ever be different.

I am writing in regards to Granite State Management Group who was sold my student loans to following college graduation to pay back these loans. I unfortunately had no money in the economy downturn crisis coming out of college of XX/XX/2007 and did what I could to pay off the loans accordingly. I had a few late payments to which they recorded in my opinion on my credit report 4 different times between the accounts. Now over 6 years later I contacted them in regards to working with me to take these off and they had no care to and just directed me to file a complaint and let y'all take it from there. I do understand that at the 7 year mark is when these red flags should taken off my credit report to which I will make certain that does happen before then or on that very date. i am so close it would make sense that they are taken off promptly. Let me know what you all need from me to keep this inquiry alive.

On or around XX/XX/XXXX I have been in communication with my student loan lender ( Granite State Management & Resources XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NH XXXX ). I am currently applying for a major loan and I need my actual payments when my loan go into repayment. I have been advised that my account can not go into repayment or that they can not update the payment until the grace period elapses. The system would show that I am on the extended plan, however, will not change the term from 120 to 300 months. This document will determine whether or not I get the loan. Therefore, it is urgent that someone help me. I am not able to wait until XXXX of 2019 to get my correct payment data. Additionally, I was told the Department of Education will not allow me to go into repayment status before the grace period. I have other loans with a different provider and I didn't have this problem.

I am unable to apply additional payments and by the time I pay it off it will be more than XXXX paid on a XXXX loan. I have been unable to work out anything with the lender other than a deferment. Private loan through Granite state management and the lender continues to contact my family members and cosigner even though my payments are on time and up to date. It is all very upsetting to my elderly grandfather/co signer. My payments keep going up also and it is a tree loan which we were unaware of. The interest is ridiculous and the loan was misrepresented.

This debt is clearly fraudulent and I want it gone from my credit. I am fed up. I have years of documentations to back my claim. The next step is my lawyer.

I do not have my complete loan information at the moment. Currently, I am in repayment of my student loans. I have been making more than the minimum amount towards my student loans for four years, paid out about {$10000.00} and my principal and interest has not decreased. Please advice and assist. The servicer 's website provides limited information and advice, in addition, it takes about an hour to speak to a level one customer service person.

I have called Granite State Management Company twice seeking a repayment schedule for my loan. They have never delivered it. In addition their website or billing process offers no ability to designate principle payments. Also, their billing process is deceptive, in that it lowers the monthly payment based on prepayments, convincing borrowers that they are making more progress than they think on their loans.

Three subsidized loans are causing my credit report to show 15 late payments when there should be only five late payments. All subsidized loans have been combined in the past to make up sum of loan debt, not separate loan debts.
