I applied for a refinance loan, to buy out a partner. The mortgage lender has been insisting I don't live on the property due to the fact that I have a XXXX. XXXX. They inquired about my divorce of 5 yrs ago and a paternity case where I was awarded legal and physical custody of my son. In their findings they concluded I don't live in the home. They decided not to raise the APR due to their findings instead they told me they would reduce the loan amount by {$50000.00} because my credit rating dropped when they learned I'm a XXXX XXXX and I don't make enough money XXXX XXXX. Yet, today in a phone conversation with XXXX at GHI she admitted I made enough money to pay two mortgages which I have been paying on time for the last 5 years, the other mortgage is part of a divorce settlement where In lieu of child support and Alimony I pay the mortgage. I applied for this loan prior to the XXXX holiday, I have been dragged along for two months on this loan process. I feel their practices are unethical and illegal. My personal life should be a private matter that has no effect on my income and my potential to make my mortgage payments as usual. I have a full time career of 20+ years making a six figure income consistently for the past 16 years. This is not the first I have been mistreated by lenders or escrow officers. These XXXX feel they have the right to vindicate another XXXX regardless of the courts decision and facts surrounding the courts decision. This is gender discrimination, but no court or government entity is willing to enforce the law equally and fairly when it comes to XXXX breaking the law. They're licenses should be revoked.
