I satisfied my debt on XX/XX/XXXX. The law office that handled the collection placed a lien on my home and as of XX/XX/XXXX, the lien has not been removed. This has prevented me from obtaining title insurance and prevented me from selling my home.
My county recorders office informed me that the law office had improperly completed an Acknowledgement of Satisfaction of Judgement and therefore, the lien can not be removed.
I contacted the law office on XX/XX/XXXXand informed me of the problem. They told me to have the title company send them a " demand in escrow '' which they did immediately. The law office never responded to this demand. I have contacted the law office numerous times but they will not respond to any of my e-mails. I finally received a response on XXXX where XXXX XXXX, director of operations stated that they would re-file the proper documentation but only after their notary returns the following week but to date, nothing has been filed and the law office won't return e-mails or give me any updates.
I reported the lawyer to the California State Bar for misconduct and I sent a copy of the complaint to the lawyer. I received an e-mail from the lawyer in 11 minutes stating that they intended to file the correct paperwork however, this has not been done as of this date. This is holding up the sale of my home and I have now lost the pending sale. My debt was satisfied 3 years ago and the Lawyer has the obligation to remove the lien from my property. California law requires the lien to be removed within 15 days of the debt being paid off.

I was paying Gordon & Wong a monthly payment of {$50.00} and sent to their address on XXXX XXXX. in XXXX the payment was returned. I tried to submit payment again in XXXX, and XXXX with the same result. I also called the business on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, but was unable to leave a message.
Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX when I received a 5 day notice to pay a past due amount of {$350.00}. I had never received any written, verbal, or electronic notice from them, despite the fact that I was told they had sent notice of their new address in XXXX and XXXX.
I couldn't send a payment if I didn't know where to send it. I should not be held responsible for past due, or in the very least, be given some leeway on the past due amount, since I never received any written notice on their change of address, though they insist that they sent it. This is not the first time this has happened with this company, as I had initially found out they had taken over my debt by receiving a wage garnishment notice.

XXXX XXXX hired attorney Gordon & Wong Law group who filed judgment against me XX/XX/XXXX on a debt that is not mine. They just recently levied my XXXX XXXX XXXX account in ths amount of {$860.00} I contacted Attorneys office and they advised me to file police report of id theft and that this alleged debt is not mine. I filed police report along with FTC complaint and submitted all documentation to attorneys office by certified mail USPS tracking # XXXX XX/XX/XXXX They advised me they would speak to there client and get clarification of the debt. I have called there office every week and they claim that it is still being investigated and that there client has not responded to them with definite answer on validation of this debt. I have asked for my money back from bank levy and to this day they have no answer for me or cant even tell me where this debt came from. Please get me my money back this is not my debt.
