When first contacted by this company, they called my work # XXXX. This got routed to a group, i did not receive the call, my boss did, who then took the number down for me to call them back. When i called it back, the women who answered refused to tell me who was calling or what the call was about, she then transferred me to a man " XXXX XXXX '' who proceeded to tell me this was an attempt to collect debt, and that they were getting ready to take legal action. THIS IS THE FIRST I HEARD OF THIS. I told Mr.XXXX I could not be contacted on this number, and i could not have this discussion at work, that i would call him back after XXXX XXXX. After XXXX XXXX, i called back the number that he originally called from, XXXX. BAD NUMBER, could get through, didn't know the company to which i was calling ( because they didn't tell me ), so i couldn't XXXX to find a different contact option. Two days later, at work again, I received another call from Mr. XXXX, this time on XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I answered I told him i had attempted to contact him on the last number, and got a bad number. He huffed under his breath and said " Um, NO. '' I replied, Yes, 100 %. He then asked what number i called and then gave me another # XXXX ( Main Line. ) I told him again not to contact me at work and I would give him a call on the new number after XXXX XXXX. Later that day i called the XXXX, got directed to Mr XXXX. Mr.XXXX indicated I owed a MUCH LARGER debt than the original loan ever was, and there were payments made - so the debt needed to verified and backed by proof, otherwise i assume this is a violation in his attempt to collect more money than is actually owed. Firstly, I asked Mr.XXXX for the following items before proceeding to setup an type of payment. I was willing to work with him. - Proof of Debt Verification Letter - Proof that debt is owned by Company he is working with - Copy of original loan agreement - Payment History - Explanation of how interest was collected on Debt. - Proof that State of Limitations was not expired - License Number Mr. XXXX then told me he was not obligated to provide any of those documents, and stated that they had already sent a " Verification '' letter to an address I have not lived in for 6+ Months. I asked him to send it again, I was told no, then I asked why I wasn't contacted VIA Email, he stated that i was sent something by the original creditor. I informed him this was not true, I already went through my Inbox and there is absolutely nothing from the original creditor. He proceeded to tell me if i didn't pay an amount today, this was going to closing and legal action would be pursued. I told him i was willing and trying to work with him on repayment, but wouldn't do so until I got what I requested. This was only the second time we spoke, in a 3 day time span, how could they take legal action - don't I have 30 days? Then, he " all the sudden '' couldn't hear me on the line, I checked to make sure i wasn't on mute. I WAS NOT. I was speaking to him the entire time and asked if he could hear me? He then said " Ms.XXXX, If your not going to speak, i will assume this is a refusal '' and hung up on me.

I got home from work on XX/XX/2015 and my wife gave me a message that a debt collector named XXXX from XXXX XXXX called my mother in laws house. She had told my mother in law that she needed to talk to me about repossessing something. I called the number immediately and left a message saying i was very upset about her phone call and to give me a call a.s.a.p. I got a call from XXXX the next day around XXXX, she was instantly hostile towards me about the message I had left and called it " XXXX '' and then proceeded to harass me about my debt that I owe on a jewelry credit card. she told me i was a loser for not paying for my wife 's jewelry and asked me sarcastically " how old are you ''. She also told me that she was going to get a police escort, find me and take back my wife 's jewelry, she said she already had my mother in laws contact information and was going to start there. she continued to belittle me and after trying to explain that I had lost my job and gone through some major family issues she told me she did not care and to start paying my bills before the cops come looking for me. After hanging up on me I called back to see what I could do to not have some weird people or the cops knocking on my Mother in laws door. she told me she had already submitted the claim for repossession but she might be able to work out something and she would call me back. when she called me back she gave me some options that I could not do and I said " i guess you have to do what you have to do ''. After that I called my mother who has been in XXXX for almost XXXX years and told her what had happened. She immediately told me she had broken all sorts of laws ( ex. not telling me that the call was being recorded, abusive language, talking to a third party about my case ) and that I should call the jeweler to make sure that it was not a scam because XXXX from Summit Receivables was very unprofessional and if it was not a scam that I need to file complaint with the CFPB. I called XXXX from Summit Receivables and asked her for her name and other information about her company, she refused so I told her I was filing a complaint with the CFPB and she proceed to laugh at me and tell me to just shut up and pay my bills then she hung up on me again. I called the jeweler and the sent me to XXXX who was taking over the debt. XXXX from XXXX was very helpful and filed a complaint with his company and agreed that what had happened was very unprofessional and XXXX had broken alot of the guidelines debt collectors have to follow. XXXX also told me that the whole " repossessing '' thing was a lie and the companies name was Summit Receivables and not XXXX Repossessions like XXXX had told me. My biggest thing in all this is I understand I have a debt that is unpaid but alot of uncontrollable circumstances went into me not being able to pay that debt. if you look at my past payment history it was flawless. XXXX was abusive and humiliated me to my mother in law with lies about taking jewelry away from my wife. people like this should not be allowed to have jobs like this if they have 0 people skills and 0 selfcontrol

Summit Receivables say I owe them money from a charged off loan XXXX. This is not true as I contacted XXXX who gave me the name of the company they sent my loan to and said they have never heard of Summit Receivables. They are trying to scam me for {$4600.00}. This company keeps calling me work and cell number and speaking to me very disrespectfully. This has happened for over 2 weeks They say I owe XXXX {$4600.00}. I contacted XXXX and recieved my formal letter in writing that they turned my information over XXXX and they do not know who these people are and to not give them any information. I sent this company an email XXXX showing that they do not know who his company is and they are a scam. The Scam company Summit Receivables are still calling me and trying to use scare tactics. This is very upsetting and I need them to leave me alone and stop trying to get money from me that I do not owe to them. This company has very hateful people working there. Since I work XXXX and my information was hacked along with XXXX other employees since XXXX did not take care of us, out information is out there for everyone. Please help me and get this fixed. There are so many people going through the same issue and these people need to be taken off the streets and stop trying to scam innocent people. I will be paying my XXXX account through XXXX XXXX, the actual legitimate company. They send emails that are rude and they send fake documents. Again XXXX said they do not know who this company is and I should not be speaking with them. SO they have my personal information and trying to get money to use for themselves. They even asked '' Were y0u even intending on paying this back so you are that type of person? that is so rude. They yelled at me and said you pay us all or nothing. I have seen several emails from consumers saying not to trust them. They called my office left a message saying the payment I made was returned by my bank. I never made them a payment. I had to close my account an few months ago because some scammers were trying to get into my bank account. Thee may be the same people. Nothing was done about it because the addresses and numbers they gave were all fake. This however they have an email address, address and phone number. Consumer Name : XXXX XXXX Reference No : XXXX XXXX Account Status : Forward to Summit Receivables Original Account No : XXXX Original Creditor : XXXX I took out an unsecured online installment loan from XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I recall which i have subsequently been unable to pay and the loan is in default ; XXXX transferred/sold the loan to XXXX - I have been negotiating in good faith with XXXX for several months and have offered payment in full versus taking a discounted settlement but the issue is length of time - I need 48 months at a minimum. XXXX had accepted the 48 month arrangement, then reneged on it - purportedly because I failed to make the 1st payment with 5-8 days from the accepted online agreement. But, when I went online to make that 1st payment, the account was listed as " still negotiating ''. When I attempted to submit the aforementioned exact same online agreement, XXXX rejected it and the loan has been in limbo ever since - about 3-4 months. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from a lady saying she was with Summit Receivable. She initially was trying to reach XXXX XXXX XXXX - a company I had previously worked for. When I told her I used to work there and can I help her, she then wanted to know if I knew how to reach XXXX XXXX. When I replied it is I who you are speaking to, she then wanted to verify my ID by asking for DOB information. I resisted but decided to provide since I was curious as to what she was doing. She then said she was with Summit Receivable and was calling about XXXX and wanted to know if I was able to pay it. I responded that before we discuss anything, I first wanted her identity, her company name and address and contact information and also a debt verification letter. She responded that the company has provided that before and when I pressed by saying that I just wanted to make sure I was n't falling for a scam trap, she became sarcastic and rude saying " like when you took out all these loans ''. I replied that I will be filing a complaint with the CFPB at which point she simply hung up on me. After that call, I emailed XXXX and requested status of my account. XXXX emailed a reply back indicating that Summit Receivable had been assigned to collect on this account. Other than that email which I had to initiate, I received NO prior warning or information regarding that. Also, a person also reached out to one of my references on the XXXX loan looking for my contact information and indicated they were a debt collector - a clear violation of the law. My reference contacted me and informed me of this attempt. What is especially troubling is that XXXX has had numerous contacts with me - phone, fax and email and I have given them permission to contact me using any of those mediums. I would have assumed that if XXXX had transferred collection of the account, the contact information would have been provided to their new representative.

I contacted Summit Receivables the collection agency that bought my debt from XXXX in early 2017. I informed them that I wished to start working on getting my account squared away. I told them at the current time I could afford {$50.00} a month to which I was told that was fine as long as I made two months of payments around XXXX a month to start to show good faith. I really did n't have that kind of extra month but agreed to just to start the ball. After several months I contacted them to see if I could get a settlement offer. In reply they told me no that I was not going to get a settlement because they were allowing me to make payments to begin with. I told them that I felt that was unfair and wished for them to cancel all payments since they wanted to charge me a fee if I paid monthly vs having them auto draft from my bank. At this point the guy became mad about it and in short terms used threstening words and tone to try and get me to keep paying. I refused until they would give me a good settlement that satisfied both parties. I told them i would have some money for a settlement around XXXX XXXX 2017 if they could come up with a decent settlement around then to call me and maybe we could come to agreement. The guy then told me without an agreement from XXXX to XXXX there was a good chance that they would sue me. I felt very pressured into everything. But still said no to anymore payments. Fast forward to XXXX XXXX I find that Summit has taken {$50.00} from my bank. I call my bank to report it and my bank canceled my debit card and starting a fraud report. They also suggested I call Summit to try and fix it. When I call Summit the first lady talked to me and told me that I had agreed to the charges but said there was an email on my account that said I had cancelled all payments back in XXXX but then I called and told them to resume payments and to change my due date. I had not called them at which point she hangs up on me. I spend the next 2 hours calling them back to only be hung up on or transfered. Finally they get me a manager and he claims I told them to change my due date and keep taking the money out. When I told him I did n't he argued with me. After several times I tell him that they took the money without my approval and he said no I had given it in the beginning so it carries over even after I cancelled the payment because I wo n't tell them my intentions with the account. I told him I wanted my money back for the payment they just took and to cancel the rest of any thing on the account. He said no to my refund and then said the rest are cancelled and then hung up. I did n't get any confirmation or anything. My wife also has an account owned by them and her account is having the same problem right now as well.

I received a call in XX/XX/XXXX from a company called Summitt Receivables. They are a debt collector hired by XXXX. Despite this debt being several years old, I agreed to a payment plan because it seemed affordable and they were offering me a settlement of XXXX for a debt that was XXXX. I agreed to pay back the amount of XXXX in 3 installments of XXXX. I received a letter through email confirming this information. Yesterday, I was reviewing my bank account and noticed that the first amount taken out was XXXX. I called the company to inquire about this and was directed to a man named XXXX. He immediately became angry and said that there was no way this was an agreement and that he would be fired if he ever offered something like this. He then called me the " XXXX XXXX. '' He wanted to know who signed the letter and I said it was only signed Summitt Receivables but it was sent by XXXX XXXX. He then forwarded my call to XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX was very agitated and said the agreement was no longer valid because I did n't make the agreed upon payments. I said you have my account information and you took XXXX. She said it 's not valid and you have to make payments in the amount of XXXX. I said I could n't afford that, especially in the summer months as I am a XXXX and do n't get paid in those months. She accused me of bouncing a check to XXXX and threatened that I may very well be prosecuted. I did n't believe that I did this and she became very angry. I said I ca n't afford this, I have brakes to be repaired on my car. She said " oh now you are telling me the truth, why did n't you do that to begin with? ", " Now, maybe I can work with you. '' She again brought up the NSF check and ask me if I had ever been prosecuted. I said, No, of course not. I did not agree to the payments. She was very angry with me and basically hung up on me. I called XXXX and my bank and both told me that there was not a returned check. I called her back and she was really angry and very mean this time. She said " are you calling me a liar? '' I said, to not take a dime from my account and I was contacting an attorney. She accused me of talking to her like she was a child. She said she would send me proof of the NSF check right away, which I have not received. I looked this company up on the internet and apparently the NSF check and threat of prosecution is a tactic this XXXX XXXX uses often. This is a horrible company and should be shut down. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

I have been dealing with Summit Receivables for almost a year now. They claim I owe on an online payday loan. I have requested proof of the debt two or three times. I did have some debt so I took their word for it and set up payments. They would only take payments by me giving them my account information and making automatic deductions. Immediately I had issues with them taking payments at times that were not agreed on. I have tried to work with them several different times. I would not set up any more payments with them until I receive proof of debt. As of last month, they attempted to pull funds from my account XXXX different times, even though I have not given them permission to access my account. I have been told different things in regards to proof of debt. At first, they said they do not send anything through the mail, only email and then later said the account states I have been mailed proof. I did receive an email giving me their business license. I have never received anything in regards to the actual debt. If this is a legitimate debt, I 'm sure payments have been applied and it seems I should have a right to know what that account looks like. I 've asked them to not call me at work as I am not allowed to take personal calls at work. They have continued to call me over the months at my job. Today I received a call at work telling me that I owe money. When I explained the situation, I was told because I have made payments, I do not have the right to receive proof of debt. I was also told that my employer would be contacted. The representative was very rude when I asked for my right to receive proof and reminded him that my account should be noted that I have asked to not be called at work. He said he was turning it in as a " failure to comply '' and to expect a lawsuit. He also claimed they have called my phone several times but I have not received any messages from them in a few months. I have paid off debt with other agencies and I have never dealt with anything like this. I have looked them up and they seem to be a real company but their practices are very questionable and seem to disregard my rights time after time. I filed a complaint with the XXXX several months ago and they would never respond to my actual complaint of them disregarding my rights. Instead they responded saying they would stop contact on XXXX of the loans. They claim to have XXXX separate loans.

I have been receiving calls threatening to send officers to my work or home, asking to speak to my supervisor so they can notify them of my situation, asking to speak to my supervisors so they can inform them they will be coming to the office to enforce legal action on me, and threatening arrest and lawsuits. I told them to stop calling my work and family and that I would meet them at my house to receive the papers they said were being served. I even gave them my home address and phone number, which I do n't think they wrote down. They eventually interrupted me when I was giving directions and said they know where it 's at. The calls stopped for a while. No one came to my house. I even took some time off work to meet them during the time frame they provided. My sister and mother have also received calls from someone claiming to be some sort of subpoena server and that he is trying to locate me because I 'm in a lot of trouble over a debt and that they need to find me to enforce legal action. Today I received a call at work on our main line that anyone can answer. It was from XXXX XXXX. He stated he had orders to serve me and would be coming by my place of employment to enforce legal action. He told me if I wanted to avoid this to call XXXX. I have received messages on my phone from XXXX XXXX ( and others who do n't leave a name ) w/ Summit Receivables XXXX stating I should have received a letter in the mail and to call them to avoid legal action. I do n't know where the original debt occurred. They ca n't tell me anything but the final bill/offer. They say they have none of that information because they 're not with the debtor company ; they are law enforcement. They are n't with the debt company, but they can transfer me to someone so that I can pay the bill in full and avoid legal action. I 've been scammed before and this feels like an effort to collect a debt that I 've already paid. I ca n't find anything on my credit report to verify this debt. This group has harassed me with legal action twice now and I want it to stop. I ca n't do anything to pay my debt if I 'm suspended for personal, disruptive calls.

Summit Receivables contacted me from a number representing that is was coming from a local calling area. I live in XXXX XXXX, CA. The Number they used was ( XXXX ) XXXX. After receiving very threating tones and accusations from the first Female caller, I called back to speak with a " manager '', After not only being insulted and laughed at, After stating that i would not claim yes or no to the Money owed they are saying, until receiving a Document providing they had acquired the account from another company. One of my Immediate family members works for the XXXX XXXX and XXXX others for the XXXX, and i am very well aware of how much fraud occurs every second of the day. The " MANAGER '' on the phone says to me ... .VERY LOUDLY : " LOOKY HEAR WERE DEALING WITH A XXXX, basically mocking and laughing at me once again. I then Proceeded to ask him not to talk down to me in a manner as such, as I am an Intelligent person, to which he laughed at again. I stated that i am a XXXX XXXX XXXX in a private college, to which he asked " what school are you attending? ", i replied back stating that was not his information to know. Upon making that statement he said and i quote " I have your SS # i can find anything out, and PROCEEDED TO READ BACK MY FULL SS # NUMBER TO ME ACROSS THE PHONE ( ALL 9 # 's ), I further explained that anything can be obtained through the internet now a days. As i am well aware of Customer Service, I know it is Illegal for him to repeat my SS # in full over the phone, Only should the last 4 numbers be read back, or asked of me to read them to him. Not only was this company Beyond rude, they also call at all hours, Calling from numbers they have no relation to, Especially when they are located out of XXXX XXXX. I do n't appreciate anyone talking down to me, especially in a attempt to collect money. I please pray of you to handle this claim as soon as possible, after doing my own research i was able to find other comments made about the Rudeness and Threatening manner in which they conduct their phone calls.

A representative named XXXX, who stated he is a legal manager at Summit Receivables stated that Summit Receivables has taken over my credit card debt which is {$450.00}. The company has repeatedly contacted me calling me more than once a day for the past couple of months. I have explained that I was unable to make payments at the time because of health related issues. During the past month XXXX has called me several times threatening to take legal action against me if I do not pay a certain amount by a specific date. I recently made a payment on XXXX/XXXX/16 for {$50.00} which was posted XXXX/XXXX/16. However, I decided to check my credit report on XXXX/XXXX/16 to see if the company was on my credit report. To my surprise I did not see the company listed on my credit report. I also noticed that the original debt from the credit card company was closed. Once I realized I did not see them listed on my credit report and I have not received any documentation by mail indicating that I owe them or that they will take legal action against me I contacted XXXX to ask him about my concerns. XXXX became very defensive and began to talk over me and became very rude. I informed him that I will not make any further payments until I receive something in mail indicating that I owe them, after I stated that, XXXX stated he can send me something by email and that he was not obligated to send me anything by mail unless I send it a written request. I told him that I will request in writing to have documents mailed to me. I asked him for the address of his organization and he hung up on me. I looked through my inbox and spam on my email and I did not have any emails from him or the company he claimed was sent to me. I contacted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, XXXX and State Attorney General for Nevada and was informed that what he was doing was illegal and I plan on taking further action.

I have received calls for many months on my home phone. I generally block these calls, however, on one occasion, I spoke with the representative of the company claiming to be XXXX ( when I asked what that stood for, he said " nothing. ) '' He then started quoting my personal information, social, date of birth, etc. I would not confirm that this was my information. These calls were made during the months of XXXX, XXXX of XXXX on multiple dates.

I returned one call, and another person answered and asked. " Are you aware you are being sued? '' I said no. She stated that I had a XXXX XXXX bank loan from XXXX XXXX which I had not paid. She stated that I could settle the claim by paying her {$200.00} by credit card. I have never banked with any such institution. The phone numbers used were XXXX and XXXX. I feel that this was a result of identity theft. In XXXX of XXXX, someone had stolen my identity and tried to borrow {$4000.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX in my name. I have an agency that monitors my credit and was able to stop the loan. I filed a police report. The matter was resolved. They ( identity thieves ) only had some of my information.

I have frozen my credit and issued fraud alerts to the credit agencies.

Starting on XXXX XXXX, then XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) ; I began receiving calls from Summit Receivables. When I looked them up on line, like, XXXX, they were referred to as scammers trying to collect debt. One person was XXXX, another was XXXX XXXX, Department Manager. He stated this may or may not concern you. They also state that this is a courtesy call and that I must call to resolve the matter. Again, I have excellent credit but someone has either stolen my info and borrowed money in my name. But these do not show up on my credit reports. I get calls almost daily from multiple XXXX numbers but the call back number is the same, XXXX.

I had a credit card with XXXX who sold to XXXX XXXX. The limit was {$400.00}. They began charging a fee each month and all was fine with my payments until I was diagnosed with XXXX and had to go through surgeries and treatments. I got behind and filed my creditors with Consumer Credit Counseling, this credit would " not '' work with them and continued to charge me {$35.00} a month for late fees so now I owe like {$800.00}. I finally worked out an arrangement with them to take a payment each month to try and resolve this debt and they took two or three payments from my account. I planned on {$45.00} begin taken from my account on the 3rd or 4th payment but they attempted to charge me {$70.00} and I did not have enough money in my account to cover so the payment was returned. When I called them they said I agreed to pay {$70.00} after the 2nd or third payment, I do n't remember and I said I ca n't afford that, and asked for them to take less but they said no. Now they are saying that I wrote a bad check ( and I did n't ) and then they said I gave them fraudulent bank account information ( but I did not ) I called to speak with XXXX telling him that I was having problems and considering filing a Chapter XXXX and in the middle of this conversation a man got on the phone, said he was the manager and begin yelling at me and when I would n't bow down to him, he hung up. I continue to receive phone calls from XXXX, XXXX and now a recorded message from XXXX XXXX and they continue to say that I wrote a bad check of provided bad payment information and that this is illegal across state lines. The only thing that I am guilty of is not having enough money in my account to pay what they require I pay and for not being able to include them in a CCC plan payment.

XX/XX/2019 Morning- This company contacted me at my place of employment. The company would not identify itself. I let them know that they had the wrong # and was responding to in a threatening manner. XX/XX/2019 Afternoon - The company then sent a verification of employment to my place of employment and would not identify themselves or the specific information needed. I then contacted this company phone and asked why they contacted my employer. The woman 's response was " Do you know what a garnishment is? '' i agreed that i did know. She went on to say that i have two options, i can either get on a payment plan or proceed with garnishment. I asked her to provide documentation of the matter, she then stated that she did not have to provide this. She then sent me to the " payment center '' where they took my bank info but would not provide me with any agreement information or case #. I didn't feel confident about the whole thing so i googled the # and found that many people had reported the same thing. XX/XX/2019 - I contacted this company today let them know that i would not be paying them anything until i had documentation. The woman on the other line began yelling stating that she was not my child and i couldn't tell her what i wasn't going to do and then she hung up. I called back and someone else picked up, i then advised them again that i need documentation and that if they call again, i would report them. Shortly after this, i received what looked to be a falsely written letter to collect debt. Misspelled words and my full name was not included. This company doesn't even show up on my credit report.

XXXX XXXX contacted my work number on Wednesday, XX/XX/2018. As I was off, they left a voicemail stating that if I did not respond immediately, they would be starting a verification of employment. I got the voicemail today ( XX/XX/2018 ), and called back immediately and left a message advising that I would like to make a payment arrangement of low monthly payments, as I was trying to get involved with a debt consolidation program. I received a return call from a Ms. XXXX or XXXX, but I had missed the call. I called back, and offered the same information I had left in my message. This rep rudely stated that she had already started the verification of employment process, because I did not call back yesterday. I told her I was not at work, and therefore would not have been able to call back, as I did not get the message until today. She told me they were going to start garnishing my wages, unless I paid the {$1300.00} I owed XXXX right away, or paid over {$170.00} bi-weekly. When I said I couldn't do either of those things, and again offered {$100.00} per month, she said she was putting me as " refuse to pay '', and would be garnishing my wages. When I cited FDCPA, she stated that they are not held to the FDCPA laws. I tried to explain that I was trying to find a debt consolidation program, and she said it wouldn't stop the garnishment. Her bullying and scare tactics caused me to have an XXXX XXXX, and had me in tears, because I can not afford to have money taken out of my paycheck.

On XXXX XXXX I received a phone call from a unknown number. I waited to hear the voicemail to see who it was. Not even 15 minutes has gone by and my mom, dad, sister and my brother in law all texted me saying the same number called them leaving a voicemail. I called the number back after getting ready for my day. The guy on the phone by the name XXXX had asked me have I ever been sued by a company, I said no. Me trusting the company I had set up payment arrangements. After the payment didn't go through since I had to change my card info I received a phone call from my caller ID stating it was the district attorneys office. The gentleman left a message on my voicemail stating his name is a XXXX XXXX. He didn't give me a first name, no number to reach him at, but gave me the same number XXXX has called me from. After closely listening to both voicemails it is the same guy. So not only has he called all my family he has also falsely identified himself to intimidate me to pay this company. Today XX/XX/2019 I had reached out the original company I owed to see if I can pay them, they gave me the company they sent it off to. I called that number and she had told me they sent it to the Summit Receivables. I explained to her everything this guy has done to get me to pay this debt. She informed that he is not allowed to do that so she had referred me to the manager over, but she never gave me a call. I'm not going to be harassed.

I get phone calls multiple times a week from Summit Recievables. They do n't know my name and they say they want to get information on a debt. My husband and I pay with cash except for our mortgage so I know I have no debt. I called them and asked that they put my number on their do not call list as I do not owe any debt. He asked for my name and I said you can see my number so look up my account associated with this number and you tell me who you are speaking with. He gave me a bunch of random names suggesting one was my husband and that he spoke to someone at this number last week. I told him that was n't my husbands name and he had n't spoken to anyone at my number. I asked him to put me on the do not call list as I had no debts to pay. The next week I got another call a female left a message. They never give a name. She told me she read a report on my account that put me in a negative light and that she wanted to give me a chance to defend myself before making her final report and recommendation. I did not respond. Then twice this week I have received messages saying it 's been some time since my last installment and it 's crucial I call and give them my information. I have never paid any money for debt collection and I do not know the people he said and told him they were not associated with my number. They keep leaving me a message to call XXXX.

Received a voicemail to call XXXX to verify some information and claimed they have left numberous voicemails in the past. When I called back a woman answered and told me I owed {$91.00} for payday loan they say I took out and when could I pay it. I advised I could n't make payment now and wanted more info but I could n't understand what she said so she transferred me to another woman. This woman yelled at me refused to give me more info regarding the original creditor and said a very rude comment a long the lines that its not a huge debt and should be more than able to afford it. She said they would let the creditor know I 'm refusing to pay. I told her I was n't refusing but needed more information. I asked her not to yell at me and I was trying to get more information she kept yelling than hung up on me. When I called back I was hung up two more times. I finally got through and spoke to a man who was a little more helpful and provided more information. He said they obtained the file in XXXX/17 but they did n't purchase it. He gave me the address of the creditor and name. He also said they are n't in business anymore. If they did n't purchase the debt than they are n't who I need to deal with. So I thanked him and ended the call.

I was paying XXXX XXXX XXXX dollars monthly. When XXXX came and payment was due ( automatic payments deducted from my bank debit card ), the card was declined. What happened was that someone tried to use my bankcard and my credit union called because of suspicious activity. I had to get a new debit card. XXXX then called me and said that my card did n't take. I said, oh, yes, my card had unauthorized usage and i had to get another card. The representative was nice and apologized that something like that had happened to me. The representative said she need to connect me to the department that will take the missed payment. I said, ok thank you. Once I was transferred, the agent tacked on XXXX extra dollars, stating that it will be added every month until I am finished paying back my debt. I said, Why because the payment was declined, it was n't my fault, someone used my debit card and it had to be cancelled and replaced. The agent said that they were giving me a courtesy all of the months that I had been paying and now I will have to pay an extra XXXX dollars that does not go towards the amount I owe, it goes into their pockets. I never agreed to the extra XXXX and was never told about the extra XXXX. I feel like this is extortion.

My sister started receiving calls from a placed called Summit Receivables ( XXXX ) regarding a undisclosed debt on XX/XX/XXXX. After receiving a message from my sister I contacted the number above. When I called they would not identify the debt in question. They tried to ask for my ssn to look up the supposed account. I did n't give it to them. I had to call back a few times because the people would yell at me and hang up the phone.. Whenever I would request some sort of debt validation. They never identified the debt over the phone nor did they send any letter of validation after I contacted them. I also reviewed my credit and I do n't see any collection activity from Summit Receivables. My sister contacted me again the other day stating that she is still receiving call from them even though I called them from my number. She said that now they are claiming it 's in regards to " her debt. '' they might be contacting my dad as well, as he told me yesterday a collector called him weeks back asking for me. I have n't put any of these family members on any credit related items. I think this is a scam.. I have researched online and found many other people complaining about the same place.

Twice I have received calls from Summit Receivables, XXXX. The latest was today, from " XXXX XXXX. '' My phone 's caller ID said the incoming number was XXXX, so the company is obviously spoofing phone numbers to prevent callers from knowing who is calling. I did not answer the call, so " XXXX '' left me a voice mail message. She did not identify what person she was calling for. She did not identify what company was owed the debt or how much was called. She said that " the client has extended an offer to you to close out the account for less than you owe. '' That 's pretty remarkable since I do not have any debts in collection and have received nothing in the mail from anyone. I looked up the company online, and it seems it simply calls old telephone numbers for people who owe debts without bothering to verify if the right person is being called, as well as doing reverse look ups to see what phone number is currently associated with the address of whoever it is trying to collect from. I believe one of these is what happened with me. Summit Receivables seems to be practicing in illegal collection methods and needs to be stopped.

On XX/XX/XXXX I applied and received {$600.00} payday loan by a company known as XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX payments withdrew on paydays for {$190.00}, then 2 payments in XXXX for {$190.00}, It became overwhelming to repay and remaining payments were returned by my banking institution. I was contacted in XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX stating they had a check they were investigating and threatening legal action. I returned the call and agreed to three payments of {$500.00}. The first two went through and then I was advised not to pay them anymore due to certain rules for payday loans and the amount of interest they can charge the consumer. Today, XX/XX/XXXX they called my work and spoke with a coworker and requested to verify employment but then also stated to my coworker that they were investigating a check. I was so embarrassed when my coworker approached me with the message. I was under the impression they can not discuss any of that with employers. I called their number tonight and requested a recorded line and stated they are no longer to contact me at my place of employment.

There are repeated calls made from different phone numbers. I have tried to set up payment that are affordable but they refuse to work with me they want a bank account, or credit card which we don't have. they are contacting our place of employment and telling them that it is a legal matter and they are harassing them also which I have advise them that we can lose our jobs because of the calls they continue to do. the rep is always threatening legal action wont tell us anything blames everything on us will not work with us and is then telling us just before he hangs up good luck then. every time we talk to this rep he threatens us with legal action and will not setup any sort of payment arrangement. then the last voicemail I received was something about an nsf check I am not sure what that is but again he threaten to take me to court. there are to many dates to put in here they call all day every day and you can not block any of the numbers because they use different XXXX numbers to call us I only have a XXXX number to call back

Over my voicemail I have gotten the following illegal threats " We're going to have to start getting meaner if you don't pay up '' " Call us to discuss the bank draft you approved '' ( which I did not ) " Just do the right thing and we won't have to tell your boss about your debt '' I work as a 3rd party collection agent. These are NOT ok to say to anyone while attempting to collect a debt. I just sent off a cease and desist letter to their mailing address as well as email address. I informed them to only communicate in writing as of XX/XX/19 but apparently the debt collection laws don't apply to them as far as they are concerned. To my shame I've deleted all but one of the voicemails. They have never once identified who the debt is for and the one time I spoke to a person and asked them to stop calling me, the man on the phone was screaming at me rather harshly about being a 'deadbeat '. Please see my XXXX Complaint about this issue, and the many many others they've threatened and harassed despite being asked to stop.

I have received several call from Summit Receivables. They tell me this is my final notice before they submit my file for pre-legal action or statements of a similar nature. I have explained many times that the dates they said I received a loan and the amounts do not match and I asked for verification. They repeatedly tell me I already have that information and do not acknowledge my request. They tell me there are additional fees and interest that have been added to the debt but refuse to tell me how much and who is charging it. I keep asking for more information and they ignore me completely or say to contact the original creditor XXXX myself. I have tried that several times but have difficulty getting through. I want a broken down invoice stating what I owe and why. They have never sent that to me. I have had this removed from my credit report before. Please have them stop contacting me if they do not intend to verify the debt that has already been removed from my credit history. They call me from XXXX.

I first received a call from XXXX XXXX with Summit receivables phone number XXXX on XXXX on my employer 's phone at work. I asked that they do not contact me at work any further. She called me later that night on my cell phone and stated in her message that she had verification of employment and verification of income for a matter on XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX of residence, and made it seem as if legal action was being taken. On XXXX, I received a call on my cell phone with a message now stating that she will move forward with her audit to get verification of employment and income. On XXXX, my employer received a fax from summit receivables requesting my personal information to include my salary and other terms of my employment, which my employer did not fill out or return to them. On XXXX, my employer once again received a call from them asking to speak with me but I was unavailable at the time. I have yet to receive a verification of this debt from summit receivables as well.

XXXX XXXX contacted me about a debt they stayed I owed. I informed them I needed to see where I owed this money in writing. They instead sent a payment arrangement to my email. They threatened me by stating my account was going into proceedings back in XX/XX/XXXX and I only had less than a week to make this arrangement. Here it is XX/XX/XXXX and they are calling using the same tactics. They called my place of business and I sent an email to them on XX/XX/XXXX staying Im not allowed to receive correspondence at my work. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from XXXX XXXX stating they sent an employee verification form to the school where Im housed and telling me I had a meltdown about it. I am not employed by the school but housed in their facilities. So at this point, they are reaching out to an entity that is not my place of employment trying to get information about me. I have copies of emails and voicemails ( that are also transcribed ) of our communications if needed.

Summit Receivables has been calling several times a day, and leaving multiple messages per day on voicemail -- they left a detailed message on my cellphone before they had verified the number was mine. They left a voicemail on my manager 's phone at work as well, only minutes after they had already left a message on my cellphone ( violating the multiple contacts per day rule ). The message on my cellphone said I had made them a payment which did not clear my bank -- which is false, I have made no payments to them. They claim to have sent me written mail to verify the debt, which I have never received, and are refusing to send additional written verification. I can not contact them in writing because I have not received anything from them, to which I could respond. Every voicemail they have left on my phone claims I have bounced a payment *with them* which is patently untrue because I have not made any payments to anyone through Summit Receivables.

This company identifies themselves as XXXX XXXX. They are calling me from a number with a North Carolina area code. I called the number to find out who they are. The number they call from is XXXX. They have called my mom (who has an NC number) and when she asked who they were, they were verbally abusive to her and hung up on her several times. I called them and when I asked them what type of business they were and who they were collecting for, she told me that I was talking too much and to shut up. I then hung up the phone. She called back and demanded that I make payment over the phone but never communicated with me who she was, what company she was with, who the original creditor was (if there is a legitimate debt), and any other info. This is a fake debt collector who is trying to get you to pay over the phone without providing any information.

I spoke with representative XXXX XXXX at Summit Receivables and he was very unprofessional. I called 2 weeks XX/XX/XXXX to stop all payments on my account. He was very aggressive and demanding. He kept telling me to provide my checking account and routing numbers. He said he 'll remove all payments. On XX/XX/XXXX a payment for {$37.00} was processed in which it should n't have. It was n't even an original pay fate that I set up. I contacted the company on Monday XX/XX/XXXX and explained I would like a verbal cease and desist and informed I 'll send in a written notice as well. I understand that I owe a debt and responsible for repayment. I was willing to pay off at payments that were within my budget. They did n't understand and wanted to dictate terms. If I was able to do the bigger payments I would have done that before the account charged off.

He stated " well, you never called back to make other arrangements. '' Isn't this illegal? Please advise. Thank you,

A woman leaves a message on my voicemail stating that I spoke with someone in a different department and left a negative impression, so things do n't look good for me. She also says she does n't have much time to resolve my debt issue and that she 'd appreciate a prompt call back. She says this is an attempt to collect a debt. I have n't spoken to anyone at Summit Receivables. I do n't have any outstanding debts. I have a good credit rating and I check my credit report with a service every three months. I hope something can be done about this terrible company!

There is a " XXXX XXXX '' who repeatedly called me over a 24 hour period when I told him not to. He then called my former employer and threatened that he had to speak to me over a legal issue and that they needed to provide my information including when I had worked there. I called him after they told me he was harassing them and told him to call me directly and not to contact them, and he in turn continued to contact them and sent them a letter asking about my employment there. He continues to contact them and harass them at their place of business after they told him I do not work there anymore. His number that he left is XXXX. You can contact me at anytime to confirm the information.

I have received several calls from a XXXX XXXX at Summit Receivables ( I had to research and find what company ). This person /company has told my employer, my children, my parents, my spouse everything about my debt including the fact that they were going to send someone after me. My employer now knows way too much about this and she is somewhat intimidated and frightened. This is so scary. They are bullying me and threatening me and that is not okay. They left a voicemail on my little boy 's phone with everything and he is now scared I will be arrested. This is illegal and outrageous. I may owe a debt but that is no reason to involve and bully so many people.

A company named Summit Receivables has been calling my cellphone and now theyre calling my job. I had a payment plan set up with them back in XXXX. I missed one payment. Theyve been threatening this 24 hour notice and that was 1 month ago. I dont know if Im being scammed or not. Ive never known a debt collector to call your job everyday. I just started working here and its embarrassing. I have a lot of debt of course but XXXX never had this much harassment before. Other collection companies give me a lot more decency. There was also another number ( XXXX ) XXXX. They have called my job and did not even disclose who they were to my coworker. This cant be legal.

I received a call today from an aggressive collector at Summit Receivables regarding a payday loan he advised I obtained in 2009. I did not recall anything related to what he was talking about. He advised if I did n't have the {$1100.00} today they would move the file to the legal department for asset and income verification. He then asked me if I have ever been sued before. I asked if that was what he was going to do. He repeated the question. When I advised I had to go as I was at work he then yelled " Stop being a degenerate and pay your bill ''. I advised him this was an FDCPA violation and he then said " No, it 's not '' and then hung up.

They want you to default on the loan so that they get 15 times as much in interest. Receiving harassing calls at work and at home. Talking about garnishing my wages. This can't be legal.
