I started with Fortress XXXX XXXX to have my credit report fixed. They said they could set me up with a payment plan for their services. I was told I could cancel within a year if I wasnt satisfied. I signed a payment agreement XXXX. After close to a year I wasnt seeing much of a change or benefit to using the company so I canceled my membership XXXX before the year was up. However, I am still being charged for services I am no longer getting. When I asked why I was being charged still they neglected to respond. Saying, You're account is tag as cancelled, so we are no sending dispute letters anymore. The payments made to Fortress are considered tuition, so it's 100 % tax deductible or refundable depending on how you file your taxes. They claim it as an education program when they are a credit repair company. Come to find out the payment plan I was set up was through another company and I was told to take it up with XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX said take it up with Fortress. So now XXXX XXXX is still trying to collect for canceled services. Fortress is a bait & switch company. They get their money and when they fail to provide satisfactory service and you cancel, youre still left footing the bill.
