I signed up for a service with a company that calls themselves getflex.com in XX/XX/2022. They provide flexible payment solutions to fixed cost of rent. They pay your rent in full at beginning of the month and you pay Flex back in two payments auto deducted from your debit card while paying them a monthly subscription fee and service charges. I had a fraud alert on my debit card in XXXX and needed to update my debit card with Flex as they hadn't taken out my second payment for rent of {$1200.00}. Between XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, there were XXXX emails exchanged saying they were working on finding my account and allowing me to make this change. I submitted XXXX support tickets and I kept getting emails that said bare with us a little longer. I didn't understand why I couldn't access my account that I set up in XXXX -it was like it didn't exist. I let them know that if they didn't resolve this by XX/XX/XXXX, I would be paying my rent directly to my apartment. I asked over and over again for a person to talk to and would get no response. I asked for a way to send them a check to their corporate hq -again, no response. I paid my rent XX/XX/XXXX. I kept trying to find information on this company but they don't seem to exist outside of a web page. I then went to try and file a complaint with XXXX, and read all the reviews about money being taken, rent not being paid by this service and I started panicking especially since my bank cancelled my card after sending me a fraud alert asking about a charge I didn't recognize in XXXX. I emailed this company and told them I have been trying to get them paid since XX/XX/XXXX and they were unable to make a simple change to my payment method. I now have told them I will send them a check for the outstanding balance to company XXXX but they will not get my bank card again. I even uploaded my bank account to my rent portal and they were unable to accept XXXX payments. I have now received an adverse action notice from them about outstanding balance. They provided a bank name that doesn't seem to exist if I think there is a mistake on my account-the bank name is XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Flexible Finance Inc XXXX : Billing Statement Dispute XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX phone number, no website -they provided their website https : //help-getflex.com -- I have 60 days to write to this ghost company and dispute this. I am not disputing the balance ; I have XXXX emails begging for help they wouldn't give me to add my new card. Now that I have seen their support, I will not entrust my bank card on their site again. Once you put your card in you are auto enrolled in their subscription service. I have asked for a way to send a check certified mail with proof of delivery to legitimate bank and they refuse to provide any help. They have threatened to turn me into credit bureaus and they refuse to provide a pathway to securely pay them. Had they resolved this issue for me of adding my new debit card between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I would never had known their was some legitimacy issues with this company. I have never experienced a company or service that won't allow someone who is asking to pay you to refuse to offer a pathway to do so. I am at a loss here as I think this service plays fast and loose with subscribers financial information and I am willing to pay them, but only in a way that protects me. I was never even late-this was something that should have been a simple fix and they for whatever reason wouldn't resolve it for me ensuring that my payment wouldn't get deducted. This was on them as they wouldn't resolve it, call me or provide any address for me to simply send a check as I didn't trust their service any longer. I have submitted this scenario to XXXX XXXX and don't know what to do to get help and protection. I am afraid to write to the phony bank they listed in XXXX as I don't want my personal information ( PII ) further compromised by getflex.com They threatened I only have 60 days to write to their bank and they won't do anything in the meantime. I can't find any information on this bank and like their service, their is no phone number and no real website. Please help me. XXXX XXXX

My name is XXXX XXXX. I reside at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have used Flex for the last couple of years since XXXX XXXX ( and when it was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) started offering Flex. I have had no problems with the Flex system until it came time for my rent to be paid for XXXX. In late XX/XX/2023, I renewed my lease for an additional 11 months. With this renewal also came a significant rent increase of {$170.00} per month. When this new lease kicked in, the Flex system had an immediate issue with my rent. I unlinked and relinked my account in time but Flex did not cover my rent. I ultimately paid my rent in full via my propertys rent portal on XX/XX/XXXX and placed my Flex membership on immediate pause. I contacted Flex Support at the time but they blamed technical difficulties in my rent not getting covered by Flex. I paid my rent as per my lease, I had to have rent paid on the XXXX to avoid late fees. I unpaused my membership in Flex after XX/XX/XXXX to cover my rent for the month of XX/XX/2023. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Flex Support as a precaution in order to make sure my rent for XX/XX/2023 would be covered by Flex. Flex support assured me in writing that it absolutely was covered. However, I began receiving mixed communications from XXXX at Flex Support, including XXXX such communication that indicated that my total rent bill was {$1800.00}, which was not correct as I had verified my amount on my rent portal. I asked for verification that the property was linked correctly and XXXX reported that it was linked correctly. However, the response did not come until Saturday XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. I remained in contact with support via email during the rest of the day and they assured me it would be processed Within a couple of hours. However, by XXXX XXXX my rent still had not been processed by Flex. I ended up paying my rent manually in full via the property rent portal. I also advised Flex support in email and requested a contact with a manager from Flex. As of XX/XX/XXXX, that has not occurred. I have also included payment_team @ getflex.com and team @ getflex.com. Payment Team replied back to email support. The fact that email seems to be the only way to reach support is very, very, very frustrating to say the least. With a company that covers rent like Flex, you honestly think that telephone support with a real, live human being would be an option, but it is not in this case. Flex 's management response was to waive my membership fee and yet again they said it was " Technical difficulties '' without detailed explanation and assured me in early XXXX that it would not happen again. The issue, however, has reoccurred again for XX/XX/2023 rent. I contacted Flex on XX/XX/XXXX and they assured me my rent would be covered. However, on XX/XX/XXXX, rent was not paid again. Repeated emails to Flex support on XX/XX/XXXX were ignored and received no response whatsoever from Flex. Calls to their support line ( XXXX ) just went to voicemail. The level of support I have received from Flex has been insulting and angering to say the least. Because of Flexs inaction towards my rent, I had to take a financial hit for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX and I have less than {$700.00} to cover my personal expenses until I am paid again in less than two weeks. Because of this mess, I am getting to where I am highly unlikely to use Flex again after this.

I was introduced to Flex Inc by my leasing office as a third party service that assists in paying your rent on time. I had used them without issue and they did not fail until recently. I was alerted by Flex that I would need to self-submit payment on XXXX XXXX using their account information and had to do so again on the XXXX. I did as instructed and figured everything was good when my leasing office confirmed submission. However, I was surprised to receive a call from my leasing office two days ago to tell me that the ACH from Flex returned ( in other words the check bounced ). To summarize I contacted Flex at the request of my leasing office to ask that they correct this issue. I received automated responses but no live help. A representative named XXXX from flex said that they would try to resend the payment or refund my rent payment so I can pay it myself. I checked each day to find that NOTHING had been completed. NO REFUND AND NO SERVICE RENDERED. I have tried calling Flex through their number listed on the XXXX XXXX XXXX website and even then was only able to submit a voicemail. This company seems to reach out by email once a day with the same response of : I can understand the frustration and anxiety this kind of situation may cause and we appreciate your patience. Yet there is no urgency to correct the issue resulting in late payments on your account. Even on their social media page they can not be reached and they will ignore you until they want to respond. I have even been blocked from responding on XXXX. At this time, I have demanded a full refund of my last payment and service fee. I will not be taking the chance of using this service again once I have been refunded. I have reviewed their app on the XXXX XXXX warning others that if they intend to use this service please be aware that there is a possibility that they will leave you waiting for long periods without responses unless collecting a payment from you. It is imperative that to protect yourself from possibly having to borrow money and/or bargain for leniency on your rent. On XX/XX/23 I was contacted by XXXX after XXXX to inform me that Flex does not show that the ACH was returned. And they are asking ME to get proof from my complex instead of them getting this information. No one seems to know where my payment is but yet Flex was paid.

And is claiming I owe then 7 mo or {$1200.00} on XXXX credit reporting. My rent comes out direct deposit to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NC {$1300.00} nothing goes to any Flexable Finance and they keep charging rental payments I called my rental office which I am not even on current lease my wife and son are, respectively, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX so Im not sure how Flex even obtained my name and my personal information as I personally never signed up to Flex or even create a renters deal with them using my name, my signature or made any deal such forth they will pay the rent my wife and son reside@. . XXXX gets XXXX dollars per month from me from my XXXX XXXX XXXX account I can not arrest or help as to why XXXX XXXX will not pay back Flex but that is between them. I paid rent same exact time flex did whatever they did so if XXXX is if XXXX XXXX is holding and keeping unauthorized monies that does not fall as my responsibility as I never signed nor agreed to pay flex nor am I on any lease to do so! Flexible Finance is an app that utlilizes a line of credit through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. to assist renters in paying their rent by splitting the rent payment in half. I attempted to close my line of credit with them following the instructions provided in the app, essentially pausing automatic my automatic payments to them. The app does not provide a way to terminate your relationship with the creditor and provides instructions on how to stop payments by " pausing '' on the app. The company does not adequately disclose that this does not terminate your credit relationship. I " paused '' my relationship with them in Late XXXX of 2023. I was not provided a statement of balances XX/XX/XXXX as required by law for open lines of credit, so I thought that my credit line had been closed. I was also issued an update to terms statement on XX/XX/XXXX ( confirming i still had an open line of credit with them ) and was not provided with an option to opt out and cancel my relationship them as also required by law. I emailed the company on XX/XX/XXXX requesting a termination of my credit line. I was emailed back an automated response on how to " pause '' payment again. I immediately responded and requested that the relationship be terminated. I was emailed an automatic response stating to submit questions via a form on the website. I was emailing XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX which is the email listed and provided in the relationship and credit line agreement as the only method of contact to submit a request for termination of your relationship with them. I have not received a response from them regarding my cancellation request other than that the automated statement that it will be ignored and the ticket closed unless I submit a request through their app. I have also emailed them requesting my balance amount and have received no response. My last statement from XX/XX/XXXX shows a negative balance of XXXX and I have emailed them inquiring about this as well. This company does not respond to inquiries. I would like this resolved

Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am writing to file a complaint against Company Flexible Finance for unauthorized reporting on my credit report, which has caused me significant harm, including defamation of character, homelessness, difficulty in buying a house, and late payments. I would also like to note that I have also submitted a complaint about this matter to the Federal Trade Commission. I have reason to believe that I have been a victim of identity theft by Company Flexible Finance, as I did not provide them with any consent to report on my credit report. According to 15 USC 1681 c2, consumer reporting agencies are prohibited from reporting any information that is not authorized by the consumer. However, Company Flexible Finance has reported on my credit report without my written instructions or any form of consent. The unauthorized reporting by Company Flexible Finance has caused me significant harm and has negatively affected my financial wellbeing. It has resulted in defamation of my character, as it has made it difficult for me to obtain credit and caused me to be homeless. It has also made it nearly impossible for me to buy a house, which is a fundamental part of the American Dream. The unauthorized reporting by Company Flexible Finance is an egregious violation of my privacy and has caused me undue stress and hardship. I urge the CFPB to investigate this matter thoroughly and take swift and appropriate action against Company Flexible Finance. It is essential that this company is held accountable for their actions and prevented from causing harm to other consumers. I request that you inform me of any further steps that I should take to protect myself from identity theft and to correct any inaccuracies on my credit report. I am deeply concerned about the impact that this unauthorized reporting may have on my financial wellbeing, and I implore the CFPB to act swiftly to protect consumers like me. I thought this app would help they promise to split your rent in two payment installments. I told them my rent amount as XXXX on XX/XX/2022. They split it into two payments and one was supposed to come out XX/XX/2022. I checked my account and nothing came out and my rent portal Showed no payment. So later that day I checked again now it said service error. Need to retype the amount so I did. The next day I checked again and still it said scheduled payment. Later that night I checked my bank account and they took out THREE payments of XXXX! My account was negative XXXX dollars! I emailed them asking to cancel and refund my money. Someone responded saying they can not find my account. I provided my name number and email. Then I get a response back they are working on it. At this point its Sunday night and I couldnt contact my bank. Monday morning I checked my account now its over drafted XXXX dollars because my other automatic first of the month payments for light etc had come out. I called my complex still no payment on my account. I email them again to refund me and cancel my account. No response. I call my bank and have to cancel my card and wait for the three payments totaling in XXXX clear before they credit me. Now Im negative XXXX due to a service that was promoted to help. Then I receive an email at XXXX that they tried again to pull money from my account. XXXX hours later at XXXX XXXX I get an email they paid XXXX dollars for my rent which said my rent was XXXX but still doesnt show. I check the app and now they adjusted my amount to XXXX for the next payment to be drafted! Im going to probably close my bank account because Im so scared they will take more. They will not cancel my account and if they did pay XXXX I can not afford that. Im a single mom now with no money to even buy food or gas and they wont even respond to me and cancel and refund me. Hello I've applied and have been using Flex services for a couple of months. You must have funds available to charge on your card for your first months rent. Then the service will pay your full month it's split into to payments and a membership is charged monthly. I've been having problems and had the money. When XXXX came time to pay you can not get hold of anyone for hours. It's all thru email, no phone call, no phone service only thru customer support. I just received a eviction notice and I was charged XXXX for my bill. You have until the 5th from my complex to pay and I did and got a email the next day saying they could not charge my payment. Made no sense when I've sent XXXX emails since XXXX XXXX on the XXXX requesting for payment to be made. I was told the next day should d XXXX XXXX that they could not post payment or had problems. I made sure there was no problems. Spoke with my complex and said they should of had no problems making payments. There stating you must have XXXX. And I did but they paid with a credit card which is still showing in my account. Now I am left with late fees and evictions notice. This is bull. Bad business ratings for this company because people can not get a hold of them. They also deactivated my account by mistake according to the rep on XX/XX/22 but reactivated XXXX XXXX XXXX apologizing for the inconvenience. The rep told me. And then took my second payment. In XXXX we had an issue they took my rent payment on the XXXX then did not pay until the XXXX. The company is flexible finance Inc. Please help.

Flex Finance is reporting derogatory information onto my consumer report that needs to be removed. I didnt give consent to flex finance to share my information with a non affiliated third party. The Gramm Leach Bliley Act 15 USC 6801 says that a financial institution is not supposed to share non public personal information to a third party. Flex Finance is furnishing a charged-off account onto my consumer report. The IRS definition of charge off is income. Income is not supposed to be furnished onto a credit report. Flex Finance did not clearly and conspicuously give me the option to opt out of credit reporting as it states in the Gramm Leach Bliley Act. I am asking Flex Finance to Cease and Desist all communication through any and all mediums unless it is for a specified remedy that I am invoking. The term communication through any and all mediums would be telephone, email, social media, and any consumer report. This notice is pursuant to 15 USC 1692c. The term communication pursuant to 15 USC 1692a ( 2 ) means the conveying of information regarding a debt directly or indirectly to any person through any medium. This alleged debt is reporting onto my consumer report which is a form of communication and I need this charged off account removed. This is also a direct violation of 15 USC 1692d ( 1 ) as my consumer report is my reputation and because this derogatory account is being reported and causing harm to my reputation I am entitled to compensation under 15 USC 1692 ( k ) of monetary relief of {$1000.00}

Flex Finance was NOT authorized to take money from my account at all. This company claims to pay your rent by taking money from your bank account and paying it on time for you. They have not gotten my permission, I never applied for anything to pay any rent. In fact, for the past 5 or 6 months, I've paid y rent late and been given late fees and been issued 3 or 4 30 day notices to pay rent or be evicted. How is this company " in business and authorized '' if they are taking money to pay my rent but I'm on the verge of eviction? I've asked my property manager over the phone and in person if anyone is paying rent for me and she laughed and said of course not. Flex has taken {$14.00} membership fee and {$500.00} from my checking account. I disputed it and got my money back but 60 days later, they charged me again and told my bank they had authorization to do business with me and I said they could take my money. I've had to close that bank account and stop direct deposit even thought I've had it open over 5 years. I'm now scrambling to find a new bank account to open but I have no trust these people won't find me again. They do not have a phone number and only communicate via email. I did and told them they are taking my money but I have no account or business with them. They asked me to verify my name, email and mailing address. I did and now they are saying my information is their authorization. I just want my refund of my money and for this company to leave me alone

You all responded the first time saying that you all are aware that i paid my balance in full and have reported that to the credit bureau after my account was closed on XX/XX/2023 .... Well my account was paid in full and closed in XX/XX/2023 and it was removed from my credit report in XX/XX/2023! so how did a NEW account get opened under my name with a balance and placed on my credit report? i never requested that nor did i give my permission to Flex to open up an account under my name! that is fraud!!!! As you can see YOUR agent confirmed that my account was paid and closed by the collections department in XXXX! how after a couple of months did you open it again? and why? Look at the attachments!!! look at the dates!!!! these are your agents confirming my full payments and account closure!! now you are saying it somehow was reopened with a whole new balance? This is unacceptable! Since you are pretending that you are not understanding what i am saying to you all via email ( since that is the only way to communicate with you all ) lets see if you understand a lawsuit!! I should not have to suffer due to you all creating false accounts under my name and attempting to play on my words. That may work for CFPB but that doesnt work on me! you all created a false duplicate account under my name! and your agent confirmed it via email!!!!

I had started using a company called Flex finance in the month of XX/XX/2023, they spilt your rent in half to make payment easier. When they took money out of my checking account they would charge {$1200.00} and {$14.00}. And they would charge another {$1200.00} and {$14.00} on the same day, making it seem like a " duplicate charge '' when really it was a fraudulent charge. This occurred XXXX more times. I had contacted my bank and had reported this as a duplicate charge, instead of a fraudulent charge. After the investigation the bank came back, and claimed that I was liable for the unauthorized charges on my account. And it was left at that. It was not until the month of XXXX that Flex yet again took another unauthorized charge out of my account. And my bank will claim, once again that I am liable.The company in the month of XXXX didn't do XXXX transactions of the same amount ( and claim a software glitch, like in the month of XXXXwhen i had first initially contacted them ), instead they took out 1 transaction of {$1200.00}

A few days prior to the XXXX of XXXX i enrolled in the app Flex Rent to assist in paying my rent. What they advertised was that they split your rent payment up over the course of the month allowing you to not have to pay all at once. I went ahead and paid more than half of my rent to them. A little over {$1100.00}. They said they would pay my rent in full. This never happened and there is absolutely no way to contact anyone at this business. Now they have my money and my rent is late and im incurring fees. I have done everything i can to reach these people. I have even contacted the bank they use thats listed on their site. NOTHING WORKS!! This is so awful and now im so desperately looking everywhere for help. I just want my money back and the fees paid so i can pay my rent and move on from this. I have done my own research and have found that this is an habitual thing for this business. They are hurting people so badly and have no care in the world.

Flex is a company that pays people rent in halves. I was charged XXXX by the company without my authorization and my rent was not even paid by Flex. Already struggling with my bills, Flex set me back even further. I immediately disputed the charge with my bank and after about a week the dispute was approved and I was refunded. Now, Flex is claiming I owe another {$400.00} and if it is not paid promptly it will be sent to collections and reported on my credit. I never authorized Flex to attempt to pay my rent, take money from me, or anything of the sort. I have emailed Flex numerous times trying to get this resolved to no avail and they do not have a phone number. I have been scammed and money has been stolen from me and now Flex is trying to take more and threatening to make my credit look bad and I feel as though I am a victim of minor identity theft as I never authorized this.

This company has continuously charged random monthly membership fees of {$14.00} without authorization when the account was placed on pause and after being told the month prior on ( XX/XX/XXXX ) that they were experiencing system issues and that I would no longer be charged, in which I was refunded back my {$14.00} on XX/XX/XXXX ). I then received two {$14.00} membership fees on my debit card on XX/XX/XXXX, then was told I had a remaining balance and thats the reason for the charge and they will not refund or cancel fees until balance iao {$470.00} is paid in full. Supposedly my account was sent over to collections ( no notification ) and that they would reach out to me about setting up payment arrangement. Ive tried communicating with their company multiple times in regard to a balance due but have gotten no reply or email response.

Flex Finance has been reporting inaccurate information to the credit bureau for months. I've disputed this account numerous times with XXXX and each time the account comes back as verified by the creditor without me receiving any documents proving their claims. I have provided proof that this account is being reported inaccurately and I've included documents showing the discrepancies from the creditor. This account is closed yet the account status changes to something different every time I file a dispute. This is against the FCRA laws to continue to report inaccurate information to the credit bureaus. It's been extremely stressful dealing with this because the company doesn't have a phone number, only form of communication is email and there's long periods between each email every time I've tried to communicate with them.

Hello, This company helps to break your rent into two payments by providing a short term loan. Timeline : On XX/XX/2023 my apartment complex told me that my rent for XXXX would be prorated at 1125mo ( its normally about I informed Flex that this was occurring. On XX/XX/2023 they informed me that this amount had been adjusted as requested by me. I also sent them a copy of the email that my company sent. It was initially adjusted to only draft XXXX dollars ( approximately on the XXXX ), however, the app defaulted to the original rent amount. After telling them this occurred, they assured me my account would reflect the proper amount. Flex STILL charged me the improper amount. After asking for a refund, this company said they could not comply. I feel that this company intentionally overcharged me.

On XX/XX/2022 XXXX stated that Flex Finance mentioned I may have been a victim of fraud with this account that shows on my consumer file. As of today XX/XX/2022 XXXX has updated the account from it showing 30 days past due on my report but reporting 60 days to it now showing on my report as 90 days past due. I signed up for flex on XX/XX/XXXX. I tried paying my rent in installments with the flex app. They took the amount due for my rent and they had a service issue when sending the money to the rental property that I live in. I have sent numerous email requests for customer service with this issue. I have not received the help I need with this issue resulting in me not being able to pay my rent and starting a eviction process. FLEX pay received a written request by email to cease and desist any authorizations to a business debit card regardless of how it was added on file and FLEX pay charged the payment anyways to the company debit checking account despite the cease and desist removal of the card. The company is now deciding whether or not to honor the dispute however the charge was sent to a business account and the company sent a cease and desist request of the removal the of the card on my behalf.
