FIVE Lakes Agency [ Fraud Department I am a victim of identity theft. I recently learned that my personal information was used to open an account at your company. I did not open or authorize this account, and I therefore request that it be closed immediately. I also request that [ Five Lakes Agency ] absolve me of all charges on the account, and that you take all appropriate steps to remove information about this account from my credit files. Also enclosed is a copy of the FTC Notice to Furnishers of Information, which details your responsibilities as an information furnisher to credit reporting agencies ( CRAs ). As a furnisher, upon receipt of a consumers written request that encloses an Identity Theft Report, you are required to cease furnishing the information resulting from identity theft to any CRA. The Notice also specifies your responsibilities when you receive notice from a CRA, under section 605B of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, that information you provided to the CRA may be the result of identity theft. Those responsibilities include ceasing to provide the inaccurate information to any CRAs and ensuring that you do not attempt to sell or transfer the fraudulent debts to another party for collection. Please investigate this matter, close the account and absolve me of all charges, take the steps required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and send me a letter explaining your findings and actions. Sincerely, FB

We are working a short sale on this property. The 2nd lien with Five Lakes is not being cooperative. They are stating they wo n't move forward with the approval letter that we have from the 1st lien holder for a few reasons. 1st : They do n't think the file should be approved for HAFA because the HAFA program ended XX/XX/2016. But that means that the short sale just needed to be started by then, not approved by then. I have explained this to them and they wo n't listen. They do n't like the fact that the approval letter from the 1st lien does not state it is HAFA on it. But this is because the approval letter they are looking at is an extension to the orginal approval letter from the 1st lien. It does not have all the details on it and is just an extension. They wo n't merge the XXXX approvals together to get a valid approval. I ca n't make the 1st lien alter their approval template to say what Five Lakes wants it to say, just because they ca n't think out of the box. Five Lakes wants XXXX, the 1st lien, to issue an ARASS form before moving forward. The ARASS is not applicable and Five Lakes wo n't listen. They state that if the ARASS is not submitted, even though it is not needed, they wo n't move forward.

This debt was purchased by XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2014. I did not receive communication, though they insist they sent it. Calls to XXXX XXXX informed me to first call their account reps to get my information. Another call said the debt had been sold to a company called XXXX. A call to XXXX told me it had yet been sold to another company. I have n't received any kind of information from these companies with debt validation or giving me the right to dispute. The last company 's rep said she " was n't sure '' if they still had the original account information. I feel as if I 'm being run around in circles. As for my credit report, this account appears as it still belongs to XXXX XXXX.There are multiple inconsistencies across all reports.
