So Ive had my ( First Bank ) Account opened for a while now. Everything was going smooth ; until one day I decided to deposit about XXXX from my XXXX account. Nothing suspicious, the XXXX is in my name and I have the right to have the funds sent to my checking if I feel like it. At this point First Bank treated me like suspect number 1. Asking me where did you get all this money from? Obviously crypto deposits??? It says XXXX right? Then going on to say they wouldnt help me take my money out my account in cash even though they admitted to knowing who I was ; because I didnt have an ID. I believe if you have your debit card and your bank knows who you are personally, and you know your pin.. why would you still ask for my ID when you literally just told me I know youre such and such weve done business before, but you need your ID??? Doesnt make any sense. This is just the start of my problems with First Bank. ( I have my ID now btw )... I start depositing more money from my own safe that I have at home because I want to get back into crypto heavy because of some of the opportunities Ive seen arise between research I had recently been doing. I decided to deposit XXXX cash and of course theyre like where did you get the money from? I told them Ive been saving money for a long time. Im very good with money. I told them Ive made profits from previous investments in crypto and also from gambling in XXXX XXXX. Then recently I took about XXXX out of my account. I did this because I needed to move my money from one account to another due to complications with getting it into the crypto space. After further research I came to conclusion it would be better if I did the transaction from my First Bank account so I deposited the money right back. I moved the money to my XXXX wallet them to my XXXX XXXX which both are crypto wallets, so that I could buy into Saitama Inu, Luffy Inu, Ridotto, Ethereum, and Centurion Inu. These are all coins Ive been doing research on that influencers advised would provide great returns on your initial investment. Well they werent lying!!! In four days my portfolio rose from the XXXX to XXXX because of investors pouring in millions into Saitama and Luffy. I thought I was having a good day until I went into my bank and a guy pulls me to the side and tells me that my activity is not normal and that fraud was looking into closing my account but HE was supposedly Super Man and convinced them not to??? Why would I get my account closed because Im simply depositing my own hard earned money and investing into crypto??? He told me crypto is still foreign to a lot of people and he doesnt know how it works??? So why is that my problem you dont know how crypto works? So you judge me and my intentions because you dont understand the opportunities in cryptocurrency? I even offered to show him my crypto wallets with my gains and profits and he acted like he didnt want me to show him ... so at this point yall XXXX are just hating on me. You ask to see how Im getting these crazy profits AND returns, I try to show you and you wave me off and say you dont care as if Im showing off? No XXXX Im clearly trying to show you that whatever you think Im involved in is clearly false. Then he goes on to tell me how bringing cash in the bank is not normal and people dont just walk around with that much cash, like first of all I drove here I didnt walk around with XXXX LOL! I was baffled. I left the bank thinking why do these people think Im some criminal or something??? I dont understand. Thinking I was still in the clear to do whatever the XXXX I want with my own XXXX bank account! The next day on a Saturday or Sunday I forget but they were closed ; I decided to deposit around XXXX in preparation for a crypto that was about to be released on Monday XXXX UTC time that is called XXXX. I have been doing tons of research on this project and even had the pleasure of speaking with their CEO through their telegram group. I did the deposit through their ATM since they were closed on the inside. Come Monday, I couldnt get any sleep because I was so excited that I was going to be one of the firsts to invest in such a bullish project. I doubled my money the first day, I bought in at XXXX cents and it rose to XXXX cents I believe! So Im not a high horse then I get a call from the XXXX XXXX ( First Bank ) I mean LOL Hello is this An____ yes who is speaking? Well this is First Bank and I have some not so great news, your account is being closed. I felt so lost and YES discriminated against because I felt like these people used my appearance against me and judged me like how is this guy really getting money??? Clearly crypto but I guess thats not enough for them. First Bank is like that girlfriend who swears youre cheating, but can never find evidence of it so she no longer trusts you because of her own crazy imagination. So now I have to find a new bank after my account was closed unjustly because of people who are taking their job way too XXXX seriously! Attached with this complaint with be two screen shots ; one with my initial investment of XXXX and the other with my profits, which was literally 3 or 4 days apart.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against 1st Bank regarding the discriminatory treatment I experienced during my attempt to open a business account on XX/XX/2023. The incident occurred under the supervision of XXXX XXXX, who provided misleading information and exhibited discriminatory behavior. During my visit to the bank, XXXX XXXX assured me that there would be no credit check required to open a business account. I provided my Tax Identification Number ( TIN ) and other necessary documentation, including my Employer Identification Number ( EIN ), passport, and Articles of Organization. However, XXXX XXXX then demanded my Social Security Number ( SSN ), despite my attempts to educate her on the guidelines set forth by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ). As per the CFPB guidelines, a Social Security Number is not mandatory for opening a checking or savings account. The bank or credit union is required to verify the customer 's name, date of birth, address, and ID number. An ID number can include an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number ( ITIN ) or other government-issued identification, such as a passport. I provided all the necessary documentation from the Internal Revenue Service ( IRS ) to validate my identity. To my dismay, XXXX XXXX intervened in the process and insisted on seeing my physical Social Security card, claiming that the bank had reservations about the information I had provided. I promptly informed him that Social Security numbers are primarily used for tax purposes and not as a means of identification. I presented my passport and the IRS documents I had previously provided as further evidence of my identity and eligibility. I am deeply troubled by the discriminatory actions displayed by XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX during the account opening process. Their insistence on obtaining my Social Security Number, despite the availability of alternative forms of identification, demonstrates a lack of understanding of both federal regulations and the bank 's own policies. Discrimination on the basis of identification requirements is not only unjust but also in violation of anti-discrimination laws. I expect 1st Bank to adhere to the principles of fairness, equality, and non-discrimination in all customer interactions. I kindly request a thorough investigation into this matter and appropriate action taken against those responsible for the discriminatory behavior. Furthermore, I demand a written apology from both XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX for their unprofessional conduct and the inconvenience caused. Additionally, I insist on immediate resolution, allowing me to open a business account in compliance with the applicable regulations and without further discrimination. I expect to receive a written response addressing my concerns within [ reasonable time frame, e.g., 14 days ] from the date of receipt of this letter. Failure to provide a satisfactory resolution may result in further escalation of this complaint to regulatory authorities and other appropriate channels. I trust that 1st Bank takes customer satisfaction and fair practices seriously. I look forward to a swift resolution of this matter and the restoration of trust in your institution.

We have at First Bank several accounts including a credit card which is the subject of this compliant. First Bank closed this account citing federal laws enabling them to do this. This card has a limit of {$2000.00} and a balance of {$1800.00}. We have had this card for almost 4 years. In that time the payment has been past due only twice and only several days after the due date. This cards limit has never been overlimit due to a purchase. I can only figure out is that the balance was high and the statement was generated with interest being added to the balance making it be over the limit. When making my payments I always pay more than the minimum due. They closed this account citing these two issues and how I manage my checking account which has had overdrafts which I paid the fees for. Also they have never had to take a loss because of these overdrafts and I within 24 hours deposited or transferred monies to cover them. They did not take into account our mortgage with them which has never been past due, or the fact that we run a fair amount of funds thru our checking and savings monthly. This complaint is that due to the closing of this account, they reported the closing to the credit bureau which directly affected my husbands credit score lowering it 93 points. This has negatively impacted us extremely. First off we were going to sell our home and build another. This is an impossibility now as we would never be able to acquire another mortgage with a rating this low. Also it could affect any of our credit cards by having this low of a credit score, if they ran a yearly check of our credit we would not qualify for their card, even if we have never had a derogatory with any of them. Thus they may also choose to close any one of these cards and thus lowering the credit score even more negatively. This has directly and negatively affected both of us. It greatly impacts me as I have a XXXX XXXX and this puts a great strain on me. This credit reporting and the closing of this account is unacceptable. There is nothing that would constitute the lowering of our credit scores. This is the responsibility of First Bank as they are the ones who instigated the closing of this account causing the extreme negative credit score which they have admitted to me that were aware of the credit impact. My husband has given 110 % effort in establishing a good credit rating since he came to this country ( legally ). First Bank may have the right to close this account but they DO NOT have the right to negatively impact our credit scores, especially since we are not delinquent and over limit. I am and have been abiding by the rules of First Bank regarding this credit card. I will continue to reach out to all avenues available to get our credit scores back to the prior score before the account was closed. I feel that they have illegally and with malice changed our credit scores and negatively impacted our lives, and personally caused me physical and mental distress. I will provide any and all documents requested for proof of the compliant.

I opened a checking account with First Bank in XXXX. In XXXX I made a transaction that First Bank paid which caused my account to become overdrawn. At the time, I was a struggling college student, and since this incident I have become extremely aware of how important it is to manage the balances of my accounts responsibly. First Bank decided to close my account before I was able to deposit the funds which would have covered the transaction. Years later, I am preparing to purchase my first home, and I find something on my credit report from First Bank from XXXX. I have shredded all paperwork associated with First Bank since they left me 'high and dry ' with no place to hold my student loan funds etc. and am now very happy with XXXX XXXX. I have no record or memory of opening a " line of credit '' with them at any point during this period or during my lifetime. I wrote to First Bank several times and they only replied with " nothing we can do. '' I finally spoke to XXXX over there, and she let me know that in fact, I would not have any documentation for this account because I never opened this account and that they simply did this to skirt the XXXX XXXX process ( and essentially give me a harsher and longer punishment ). XXXX is going to try and help me by talking to her boss ( she was very helpful and understanding ), although when I explained how unethical this sounds all she said was, " I know, I have no words ... '' This behavior should not be tolerated by banks - I feel like this could be considered identity theft since First Bank opened the " line of credit '' account without my knowledge AND without providing any information about it to me even after they did. I have spent HOURS trying to get a straight answer from representatives over there because not only is the account closed, and extremely old, but also ILLEGITIMATE. I'm not sure if XXXX will be able to help me by removing the adverse account status from my credit report as she is also the one who sent me the " sorry not sorry '' letters, but either way I feel like this behavior should be something that is brought to the attention of the CFPB and I really hope that it is investigated further. I know that the CFPB would like supporting documents but unfortunately I do not have any - and I doubt First Bank does either since this account shouldn't exist - and it was 8 years ago I've shredded anything associated with it since I confirmed since then that were no adverse accounts on XXXX XXXX ( I didn't know to check credit bureaus since I didn't know I had this 'line of credit ' ).

First Bank XXXX Colorado ( 1st Bank ) did knowingly and without my knowledge or consent allow the withdrawal of 100 % of the funds in my savings and checking accounts to be withdrawn via a garnishment, which I was not made aware of. I was never served with a Complaint, never advised of a Judgement against me nor was I served with a Writ of Garnishment, which is required by law. Further, 1st Bank refused to provide me with any information about the Garnishment, and debited my accounts in excess of {$11000.00}, which is approximately {$4600.00} MORE than I had in both accounts combined, resulting in an overdraft on my checking account of over {$5000.00}. Again, they willfully refused to provide me with details of these transactions, and charged me a {$150.00} processing fee additionally. My accounts are now frozen, the bills I had paid are going to be returned NSF and I was never given proper notice. Again, I was not aware of this action and only became aware of it when trying to purchase groceries at XXXX and having my debit card denied. I was paid on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX and I checked my balances via the automated phone line at approximately XXXX. I had an an available balance of {$3400.00} after being paid my salary of {$2600.00} plus an expense reimbursement check of {$450.00}, and the existing balance. I began paying my monthly bills to my electricity and cable providers, cell phone, car note and credit cards in the amount of approximately {$2300.00}. Sometime that afternoon, XXXX Bank, without informing me, froze my accounts, withdrew the previously mentioned monies, yet somehow allowed a withdrawal from XXXX at approximately XXXX XXXX to go through for {$26.00}. Now, all of my bills are going to bounce, and again, I was never given legal notice of such actions, and they refuse to provide me with any details. I have been a customer of XXXX Bank for over 20 years. I am considering legal action and the possible involvement of the media via consumer affairs reporters at my local new outlets and contacting my elected representatives regarding the violation of state and federal banking regulations.

On Monday XX/XX/XXXX I made a check deposit in the amount of {$14000.00}. The next Morning, I had received credit for the check therefor I proceeded to use the funds. However, the next day XX/XX/XXXX the deposited check was in pending status and not available like the previous day. I decided I would go in personally to try and resolve the issue. I initially spoke with XXXX XXXX assistant branch manager she suggested I verify with the owner of the check if indeed the check had cleared their account. I proceeded to do just that, I verified the check has indeed cleared his bank and the funds were no longer in their account. At this point I was confused as I no longer had the funds in my account and it was not in the payers account so where was the money? Since my attempt to resolve the issue with XXXX XXXX was in vain even though I did as she suggested, I decided to email the branch manager XXXX XXXX ( which took over an hour to get contact info as XXXX was hesitant and insistent she was the only branch manager and refused to give me any other manager names I called 3 different locations to get the branch manager contact info as I knew XXXX was being untruthful contact info is not readily available online ). XXXX responded stating the reason the funds were not available is due to the inability to verify funds with the payers bank ( XXXX XXXX ), as stated before the payer verified the check had cleared the account the day before XX/XX/XXXX. I included the payer in the email, so XXXX had verification this was the case. At the end of business day XX/XX/XXXX my account was not credited the funds nor were the funds in the payers account, so the question is where are these funds? According to XXXX the earliest the funds would be available is XX/XX/XXXX. So where are the funds for the 8 days there not in either of our accounts? This has been the 4th occasional this year alone were a large check deposit is held even though it has cleared the payers account. I do not feel this is standard practice and do feel there must be more transparency when dealing with large amounts of money.

To Whom it may concern, On XXXX XXXX 2016 I went into my First Bank to see if my money was pending, like I always do. Yes, it was pending, I waited till the first when the funds would be available, to pay my bills like always. The money was there like my ex husband and I agreed upon, for the child support. I paid my bills, on the XXXX of XXXX, I was sitting in the parking lot of the library with my daughter, looked at my gas tank ( which was on E ) checked my bank account. ( It was XXXX XXXX on a Friday at XXXX. ) I looked at my bank account on my phone, the amount was XXXX as I sat there starching my head, I said to my self, " This has to be wrong! '' I logged out, logged back in again and said the same thing!! I called the bank, the representative checked all my information, kinda sounding nervous, put me on hold and got back to me, saying, " That he, ( my ex-husband, who is NOT affiliated with First Bank in anyway shape or form ) went into my account and said, " There is a check in my name go9ing into her account and I want it back! '' And the bank gave it back to him!! I feel sooo invaded, First bank did n't call me to even let me know that this happened, just let him go into my out personal account and let him take away all of my child support money and our children 's XXXX money. I was unable to pay my bills, I had to ask XXXX XXXX, to help us keep the utilities on. I was unable to pay my mortgage, again for the second time!! The First Bank manager wanted to see a copy of my divorce decree, which I brought over to them on the next day Saturday the XXXX. How can this happen? I have been doing this transaction of {$2100.00} for months, with this bank. I spoke with the vice president of the First Bank, and basically that conversation went no where. Just got paid today, X/XX/2017, so I wasnt worried about my checking account, imagine how I felt when I submitted by debit card for payment only to have it declined. Rushing back to work I went online to check my account status. A payment service connected to a online purchase I made charged me for that service, but also charged my account {$39.00} 17 different times!!!! It probably would have been more, but that and other legitimate charges emptied my account. I immediately called the bank. They advised contacting the company and getting the charges removed. I did that, but customer service was not helpful. They needed to forward my compliant to the billing department, which they could not connect me with directly or give me someone else to speak with. They said Id be contacted with 24 to 48 hours. Im broke. They have my money fraudulently and I have to wait for them to investigate. Spoke with the fraud department at my bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They were not terribly helpful either. They cancelled my card, and inconvenience Ive have to go through just a couple of months ago due to a similar problem, and too, will investigate. My question to them and that Im relating here is why something as clear a case of fraud or just some type of mistake takes two or more days to deal with. I asked the banks fraud rep how this could possibly slip through their security software? 17 identical charges, same amount, same charge description one after another and all Im getting is an apology. I dont know how I going to get back and forth to work in the next few days, because someone stole my money from my bank account and the best they can do is apologize. Banks feel free to add fees upon fees to their customers accounts do to honest mistakes made by the customer. But when the bank fails to protect a customers money, you get sorry, dont know how this happened it shouldnt of happened, sorry Not good enough. Not by a long shot. Where the XXXX is my fee?

On XX/XX/ 2016, I opened a bank account through XXXX XXXX XXXX. I live in XXXX, XXXX. I opened the bank account at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. The New Account Representative I opened my account with was XXXX XXXX. I was promptly looking to open a checking account after I had just moved back to XXXX from XXXX. Upon opening my checking account, they also opened a savings account. As XXXX was finishing up my account, he said, " I need to run a soft hit on your credit to make sure you are in good standing with any other banks ''. I thought it was strange for him to run my credit for this reason, as I had never encountered this at any other financial institution. When he came back he said that I also qualified for a credit card with the bank and that I could simply cut the credit card when I received it if I did not wish to use it. I did not give him my consent to use my credit for this purpose, only to ensure that I was in good standing with other financial institutions. This was my first credit card and after speaking to my parents along with others, I was concerned about the fact that XXXX wrongfully and knowingly extended me a line of credit way in excess of what my income would merit. At the time, I made just over {$2000.00} a month. Prior to my obtaining this credit card, I was unaware of what a utilization rating is and how important it is to keep it at a minimum in order to maintain good credit or continue to build on good credit by using less than 30 % of the allotted credit given. There is no way someone of my stature would normally ever qualify for a line of credit that was given to me, which was {$5000.00}. I take full responsibility for using the card, but again, after speaking to my parents, I thought it would be in my best interest to have a thorough investigation done to ensure I have exhausted all of my options in trying to have this resolved. I can provide any income stubs or other documents if requested.

On XX/XX/2020, I noticed that my bank card from 1st Bank of Colorado was missing from my vehicle in my driveway ( along with two other cards and my license ). At this time, I reported the card stolen to the bank and they sent me a new card. At this time, I noticed two charges pending on my account to XXXX XXXX ( {$29.00} ) and XXXX XXXX ( {$17.00} ) that I did NOT authorize. I have been told previously I could not contest pending charges so I had to wait until they were actually finalized before I could attempt to make a claim. Starting on Monday XX/XX/XXXX, I made attempts to call the bank. Hold times were longer because of the COVID 19 situation. After multiple attempts being on hold and disconnected I went to the website and requested calls from the bank. I did this daily for three or four days until I finally got through on the phone speak to someone about my contested charges. After a couple of weeks, I reached out to the bank via email to ask about the status of the claim and I was told it was denied and to call a specific number for details. The number isn't even an active phone number! I have two other cards that were stolen at the same time and attempted to be used at other establishments. I didn't report them to the police because the banks all claim to have protections for fraudulent charges. I never left my home on the day these charges were made, I have never set foot in the liquor store and have not bought pizza from any XXXX in months if not years. Also, when I checked on the status of this order, I reported a third false charge for {$29.00} made a week earlier on my account and the bank is ignoring any communication about this charge even though I have emails from the company involved saying they have no orders from me. I am attaching the emails for this claim below.

On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I noticed a debt on my credit report from First Bank XXXX. I proceeded to call First Bank and they informed me it was for a checking account that I had a year ago? I never opened a Checking account with First Bank a year ago, my credit report states it was opened in XXXX. I then asked why I owed so much and they informed me it was due to fees and interest. I informed them i never agreed to these fees and interest, or never signed anything agreeing to those costs. I then asked them if we could settle the loan and they informed me they do n't settle anything outside of 60 days of the debt being charged off. I feel I 'm being treated unfair and discriminated against. The reps I spoke to informed me that they reached out to me 60 days after and were n't successful in getting me to pay. I never received XXXX letter or call in regards to this debt. I 've also taken note that there 's public record proving First Bank has settled other debts with other consumers pass the 60 day mark and they informed me they never have and never will. They sell of debt that goes to third party vendors who do it all the time. The branch i discussed this with refused to acknowledge this and refused to provide me proofs where I signed, and acknowledged the fees that came with this Checking account. These type of practices should n't, and cant take place with. I feel because I 'm XXXX they 're treating me as if i 'm note educated and have no clue what I 'm talking about. I again would like them to produce documentation that I singed, and agreed to these fees that came with the checking account along with proof that they 've never, ever, accepted a Settlement on any post charge off accounts that exceeded 60 days.

I had XXXX separate purchases that I made through XXXX using my bank card. I was unaware the the purchases I was making were out of the country and not being payed the proper way through XXXX. When I never received my items I called XXXX to dispute the charges. They advised that since it was paid as a freind payment ( which I di n't know ) I would have to got to the bank and cancel it with them. I went to my 1st bank branch in XXXX ca. and I signed an affidavit for the XXXX charges XXXX and XXXX. the bank then reversed the charges to XXXX and put it back in my acct. XXXX at that point put my acct in the negative. XXXX then opened a dispute for only XXXX charge the XXXX and after they opened it the 10 days went buy and the dispute was closed in my favor and XXXX gave me the money back for that XXXX charge. All good Now we have the second charge XXXX. I can not get XXXX to open a dispute so I can go the 10 days and get it out of the negative. I have called XXXX several times and they advised that they see the money being taken by 1st bank but they only have a dispute from the bank for XXXX charge. I have called the bank several times and they advised that they should have all the paperwork to open a dispute from the first filed paperwork. The bank refuses to resend it. The last time I talked to my bank they advised that there is now a 3rd party bank involved because it was a international charge ( which I did n't know either ). But that is on XXXX end. If they open a dispute and find in my favor then they will have to go after the XXXX and XXXX. That should have nothing to do with my end.

I opened several bank accounts ( personal checking, savings and also a business account ) with Colorado First Bank on XX/XX/2020 and was also approved for a credit card that same day. On roughly XX/XX/XXXX I logged on to my online account and saw the credit card account ( which I had not even received yet ) had charges on it $ ( XXXX ). I called the bank, cancelled the card and filed a claim. I received 'provisional credit ' on XX/XX/XXXX and was fully refunded on XX/XX/2020. Just a few days later, I signed on again to monitor my account and noticed that my bank account had been drained. I once again called the bank, filed a claim and answered all the questions. I had possession of the card so this seemed really odd and absolutely terrifying. How on earth was this possible? There were charges amounting to {$2600.00} and there was even a {$400.00} withdrawal at one of their ATMs. I got very little reassurance from them. I was told they would investigate and let me know. A few days later I was told that I would not be refunded because the debit card was in my possession. They didn't even try to investigate! Most of the purchases were made in person ( surveillance? ) and at the very least, the ATM was at one of their banks so they could have checked their camera 's. Instead, they closed all of my accounts without my knowledge, business account and savings too ( they were unaffected ) and a letter stating they would be reporting me to the credit agencies for 'Misuse ' of my account. CRIMINALS! So now I've been victimized by the bank too.

My account with First Bank was closed as I attempted to buy a used car for my son. When I sent the money to a friend of a friend by XXXX, it was flagged as fraud. This is fine, but what is not is the way I was treated when the bank called me to verify the transaction. The representative spoke with a mocking tone, and acted like a child. At one point, I said this isnt fraud and she replied uh huh it is. I became frustrated and she terminated the call. At this point, in retaliation, my account was closed. When I opened a new account, I was unable to set up my bills as usual, and received a letter stating that my ACH access was blocked. I called First Bank to dispute this last week, and again was spoken to like a child. In a mocking tone, the representative said they could not help me and laughed. I also was expecting my tax return at this time. First Bank said last week that they were mailing the check to me. When I followed up today, I was told that it was returned to the IRS. The representative again made jokes and laughed. Looking at their reviews, I can now see I am not the only customer with this issue. I spoke with the IRS today after First Bank and they do not know where my refund is. To help, they placed a " trace '' on my refund and are contacting First Bank to find where my refund disappeared to. I'm afraid that First Bank has stolen my refund, and I would like them to remove the ACH hold from my profile.

At lunch I went to XXXX to get me something to eat I spend {$3.00} and unfroze my card for that purchased, when I came back to my desk to eat I login to freeze my card again and that's when I noticed it had just been use at XXXX for the amount of {$190.00} I called the bank immediately and they cancel my card. Today XX/XX/XXXX I got a letter letting me know that my claim had been denied due to their investigation showing that I was the one that had done the XXXX purchase I told her that was not me if I had done so I would of not be calling I told her to check the XXXX cameras and to prove to me that I was the one using the card and she said the I can go to the police since I had already file a report on my stolen car and figure it out on my own. I'm very disappointed it with my bank they can look at the history of my XXXX purchases I never bought this much on one transaction I've been a customer for over 10 years

I opened an account with First Bank. I opened initially with a direct deposit of usd XXXX to learn how this bank operates. i found that this bank is not transparent how they handle the overdrafts/direct deposit. My direct deposits should be on the XXXX & XXXX and in some cases 2 days prior is in the system. However, when i had a pending transaction the bank only credit my direct deposit after they processes the overdraft charges. This happens several times, I received direct deposit in XXXX banks and when my money was available with the other bank, First Bank did n't put the money in my account, until they charged the overdraft. When i was overdraft i asked them to send me an email so in that case i can go to the bank but they were n't consistent .in some cases they sent a note via mail. The post mail is not actomatic and can take couple of days. However, I received several days after. Last thing that I found was ... .they deactivated my card without calling/sending via mail or email a note. I had a balance of XXXX in XXXX/XXXX and Usd XXXX in XXXX and a payment of XXXX should be paid in XXXX/XXXX. The company sent me a letter telling me that because the payment did n't go through they will cancel the warranty. They do n't follow any rules or regulation that the banks need to follow. I felt treated unfair as a customer.

This morning XX/XX/XXXX I received a notification from XXXX XXXX that a new hard inquiry was placed on my credit report by FIRSTBANK. I have not been in a firstbank branch in over 2 months and have not had contact with anyone from the company since. I called the customer service line and they stated " I opted into the cash reserve via online banking, which requires an e-signature and authorization '' I have photographic, audio, and video evidence showcasing that I never accepted these terms and was never notified, which clearly showcases internal fraud. After explaining this to the customer service manager ( XXXX employee id XXXX ) he stated that there was nothing they could do, and that the branch that was commuting the fraud was the only point of contact I could reach out to to resolve this issue. A clear violation of the FDIC Regulations. On top of this, we are in the middle of closing on a house, and if this credit inquiry causes us to lose the home, we could end up homeless as we do not have secured housing that will run after the closing date. Documentation and explanations : XXXX - Image showing all communication from the branch with no communication for new line of credit XXXX - Alert is not associated with the issue at hand. I am putting in this complaint on behalf of my nephew, XXXX XXXX. The complaint is against First Bank. He was XXXX years old and a XXXX when he opened the account in 2014. I went with him to the bank and made sure that he had opted out of the Bank paying for anything if he had no funds in his account. He had borrowed some money from another financial institution and they were withdrawing monthly payments out of his account. He lost his job and his account dwindled to XXXX. It was our understanding that he was ok as far as the bank was concerned since we had told them not to pay for anything if there was no money in the account. However, the bank has built up an amount of almost {$250.00} that they say were charges for refusing transactions to the financial institution that XXXX owed some money to. This is fraud of the highest order. We were never informed that the bank would charge for refusing transactions also. We went in to the bank a couple of times and were told that we needed to come back with {$250.00} in hand. We were also given illogical explanations for why it was alright for the bank to charge XXXX for refused transactions. This was very disrespectful. We request that all charges be dropped immediately and the bank apologize for making this entire situation so stressful and disrespectful.

It's been a month now since I tried to open a savings account for my new business so I could keep it separate from my regular accounts which I had for over 10 years. As soon as I walked in and handed the check I wanted to deposit the girl started right away to tell me that checks received from XXXX XXXX XXXX are suspicious. Well she opened the account but later that evening she called me and told me that the check was not going to be deposited because they needed to do an investigation. Investigation that made me feel that I was trying to make fraud cashing a bad check, they tried to contact my client ( check issuer ) to find out about what? Me? It made me feel like I was the target of mistrust or discrimination ( a XXXX with a check? ). I requested an explanation and the closure of the account. they gave me a letter that practically says to cash those checks in another bank or the issuer bank which is over 50 miles from where I live. As of today the account still shows opened, I only hope they don't charge for a XXXX balance fee. If they want to catch criminals they should do it with the proper institutions or not receive the check at all, it's not their job to investigate their clients or is it only me? Thanks XXXX XXXX

On XXXX-XXXX-2017 I went into First Bank at XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CO XXXX to initiate a wire transfer to a supplier in XXXX that I have been using for over 4 years. As you can see on the form attached that my supplier is located in XXXX and the beneficiary bank address is in the XXXX. I did not notice this. This threw up no red flags for this branch or the wire transfer department that it might be suspicious and it should have. I was not asked about this. I did get a confirmation via email from my supplier account rep once the transfer took place saying they recieved the transfer and I thought all was well and the order would proceed. Following up on my order last week and finding out last Saturday the XXXX they have no record of the transfe so I forwarded their emailed response from the day after the transfer saying that they said they got it. They got back to me today that their email had been compromised and all wire transfer information including accounts and address had been changed on the wire instructions used to send the transfer. Calling first bank today they did a trace on the funds and the funds are now gone from a closed account.

My dispute with them was that the machine dispensed XXXX bills of which XXXX were {$20.00} XXXX bills and XXXX was a {$10.00} bill. Naturally the machine would be in balance if it is only counting the number of bills being dispensed. I could care less about the {$10.00} they cheated me out of but it is the principle that matters to me. They need to scan every bill being dispensed or this can happen again to some other unlucky customer.

Companies Involved : FirstBank of Colorado XXXX XXXX I am writing you in regards to the XXXX Account Updater program. Now my card was compromised a week back and my bank issued me a new card. I had the card in the mail along with a letter from my bank informing me to update important account information. Now I checked my bank statement the other day and saw that XXXX charged my account for about {$10.00}. I specifically know in my mind that I did not give out my new card to XXXX. I called my bank and explained the issue and they informed me that it is an automatic payment that updates my accounts. I did not authorize my new card number to be charged but it was anyway. My problem is not the amount but the fact that XXXX got my private card information from my bank. I am writing to you on Tuesday XXXX XXXX, 2017 as I just got off the phone with my bank FirstBank of Colorado. I asked for them to opt me out of this program but I doubt they will. This is important and big, and is something that people should know about as companies should n't be able to charge your card without you knowing or without your consent.

On Tuesday XX/XX/2022 I was informed my account was closed at FirstBank Holding Company. I was asked if I wanted my funds mailed or picked up, I said I would pick them up. I went in early today ( Friday XX/XX/2022 ) and was told everything was on hold. After about XXXX minutes I was requested to talk to a guy named XXXX who asked non-important questions and refused to forward conversation on my funds in my closed account. I ended the conversation amicably, drove home, reached out to the representative who I first spoke with, XXXX, and asked her to mail me the checks. She informed me that until XXXX releases the funds she can not do anything. As of XX/XX/2022, FirstBank Holding Company confirmed XXXX account closing balances. The oldest account had a little over XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( {$20000.00} ) and the second account had a flat XXXX XXXX ( {$10000.00} ). I was told nothing the holdings were completely removed on XX/XX/2022, and those balances were final. I suspect FirstBank of Colorado uses deceptive account balance alerts to generate overdraft fees form consumers. On XX/XX/2018 I received an alert notifying me that my account balance was {$60.00}. In fact, the balance at the time the alert was sent was {$37.00}. Had the bank accurately reflected my account, I would have immediately moved money over from one of my other 4 accounts and avoided an overdraft charge. The bank has refused to acknowledge its error and refund the overdraft fee. Rather, it stated that it is not responsible for inaccurate information sent in account alerts. I suspect this is by design to churn overdraft fees. The bank also sometimes fails to send notices as promised. Sometime before XX/XX/2018 my account dropped below {$100.00}, but the bank failed to send me the account balance alert that I had contracted for. Again, I would and could have transferred money from one of my other four accounts had I received the notice the bank had contracted to send. The bank disclaimed any responsibility and refused to refund the late fee.

This bank ( XXXX ) seems to be really making a lot of rules on it 's own and enforcing in one way or the other to the customers. I followed the XXXX to open the anywhere checking account via online. Whatever they asked me to provide - I provided and that 's why the account was also opened. I provided my permanent resident card as part of the account opening process and they accepted it also. Now after opening the account they are asking me to come down to the branch and provide the driver 's license, why?? They have so many rules for e.g. if you have opt for online bill pay but do n't use it - they will charge fees. If one does n't have the direct deposit or certain minimum balance they will charge fees. It seems this bank just want to XXXX and money of the customers. They are not doing any favor to anybody by letting me open the bank account. They are also getting the business. Now they are doing everything to make it hard to do business with them and seems to do everything not to give me {$200.00} cash back bonus.

First Bank paid a {$43.00} to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022 from my checking account that did not have sufficient funds to cover the amount. I visited the bank same day and I complained about it asking to place a dispute but the bank did not do it because it was not time. I did emailed this information to First Bank requesting and urgent action in filing a dispute but so far First Bank has failed.

I was politely asking for a solution. On XX/XX/XXXX, a nice banker allowed me to share my concerns over the phone, but when my father was curious that even though my father had previously accounted openly they were allowing him to open and I'm his son. I have a document to share proving I was exhausted enough. But I insist on this bank because my concerns convinced arms and fees. Please allow, me to listen instead of being against me. That's not correct and it's wrong, after I had conversations in the bank, where my father he gets his bonus, and he had account closed and so that's enough to tell you why my conversation will not end depends on me because, the branch manager XXXX was being unfair, that he could have, just stop me of going in person why can't just leave like this, at least online banking is safe to him and me, that is that if he really hates me and not others customers. I opened a checking and savings account with First Bank on XX/XX/XXXX in order to take advantage of the XXXX $ promotion they had. They told me that I would see the credit aplied with in 60 days of opening the account ; however, the credit was not aplied. Today I decided to call and check when I would be seeing the credit but was told that it was posted on XX/XX/XXXX. See it in the bank statement but i know for a fact that it was not made available to me as Ive been constantly checking my account and it has not reflected the deposit. Now that I want to go back to the deposits and withdrawals that Ive made online and in the app it says that the details for XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX are no longer available and the statements are the only place to see the deposit?!

I contacted First Bank XXXX XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX about multiple unauthorized charges on my account. The amounts totaled XXXX and were charged to my debit card. These amounts were disputed and I received a new debit card in the mail. However on XXXX I logged into my First Bank account and noticed that the account was closed. I received a phone call from my local branch indicating they refused to dispute the fraudulent transactions and that they were closing my account. There was no other communication in writing indicating the reason nor any supporting documentation. First Bank refusing to resolve these unauthorized charges are a violation of the agreement between the card issuer ( VISA ) and the backing bank. Additionally per the First Bank user agreement account holders are not responsible for transactions that are not authorized and/or fraudulent.

I opened a bank account with XXXX located XXXX XXXX. & XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, AZ XXXX and every paper I signed, I asked if my credit will be affected. They said no, and I continued to agree. Little did I know that they placed a reserve account which is a small line of Credit that I absolutely do not need. After looking though my credit score, it has dropped 20 points due to this issue. I called them right away and said they will fix this issue. They proceeded to cancel the cash reserve and will call me me back once the issue is resolved. Couple of hours later, they called and said there is nothing they can do and already talked to their compliance team. Keep in mind, they already canceled the service and now I do not have this cash reserve which dropped me 20 points, and this still on my credit report. This is simply not fair and very shady.

I had a checking account with FirstBank in Colorado that was opened XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I relocated to XXXX, WA for employment. During the move, a deposit from a former employer was returned and overdrew the account unbeknown to me. It was not until XX/XX/XXXX that I found out when it showed up on my credit report. I immediately paid the balance in full. FirstBank reported this as a " Line of Credit '' " paid charge off '' account. This was never a line of credit. Later on XX/XX/XXXX, they changed it to " included in bankruptcy. '' It was never involved in a bankruptcy. In trying to work with FirstBank, XXXX XXXX, I have been unsuccessful in resolving this issue. This was a checking account. Not a line of credit as being reported. Never at any time was an application filled out for a line of credit. This should be removed from my credit bureau.

on XXXX, XXXX 2023 I received a check from an employer and took it to the first bank atm to cash it. I came home and checked my online account to see if it was deposited to find that my account was locked. so I called the number that the screen told me to find that the check was fraudulent! so I went in on the next business day to find out that my account was closed! I got a lecture that I should not cash checks that just come in the mail, even after I told them that this was a payroll check! and I asked them how does the average person know what a fraudulent check look like? and that question was ignored! needless to say, I walked out upset and really do not know why an account that I had for years was closed for something that I had no clue.

To be honest with these banks, I received harassment while I had accounts there, transactions and could change my information at any time. He could put other information even in my online banking account. He could do a lot of things that were unacceptable, an acceleration ******** my word. He calls me and blocks my account without my permission and he calls me to go as far as I don't know. in the office, where the bank is located to speak with someone, I left. But what they did to me, it's really unacceptable that you can't believe. I tried to fix it. For several times and they continued to put information so that I can no longer open any bank account where I am talking to you, I become like an instrument that does not has no right in fact.

for the past 2 weeks, First Bank of Colorado ( dba 1stBank ), has charged over {$200.00} in Nonsufficent Funds Fees to my checking account. Despite this practice occurring in a predatory manner ( this issue has occurred over the past 2 weeks or so ), the bank continues to fail to give a reasonable answer as to why these NSF fees were charged, and refuse to refund or reverse the predatory charges in question. I contacted customer service on XX/XX/XXXX ; they were able to reverse 2 of the charges but that fails to account for even still almost {$200.00} that they essentially stole from my account without notice or reason. I am deeply perturbed by this occurrence and am seeking all avenues possible to resolve the issue.

One of the reasons given for denial for a home equity line of credit was a bankruptcy from 2004, which was due to a divorce. I have had perfect credit sense.
