A company identifying themselves as FIRST STEP GROUP contact me through a letter dated XXXX XXXX XXXX about an alleged debt that do not belong to me, and is many years past the statue of limitations.The letter stated that they are collecting on behalf of XXXX, XXXX.This account fell of my XXXX credit reports about 4yrs ago.the company letter also stated ; THE LAW LIMITS HOW LONG YOU CAN BE SUED ON A DEBT.BECAUSE OF THE AGE OF YOUR DEBT, XXXX , XXXX WILL NOT SUE YOU FOR IT, AND XXXX , XXXX WILL NOT REPORT IT TO ANY CREDIT REPORTING AGENCY.I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and was told by them that they do not have an account with my name on it on file.It is my belief that this company is trying to collect a debt that is way past the SOLand a debt that do not belong to me.I have disputed this debt with them and have not received any verification as of this date XX/XX/XXXX.This is a matter that dates back to XX/XX/XXXX

This debt was discharged because of the age of the debt in the State of Maryland. The original debt was from XXXX XXXX and it has been many years since it became aged out. The company First Step Group and XXXX XXXX XXXX is continually calling and sending demanding letters asking for payment. Then in small letters at the bottom it says because of the age of the debt they can not sue or report it to credit reporting agencies. Yet, I think it would be odd if the law allowed them to harass me to the end of time. If the State of Maryland has said the debt is old and I do not have to worry about it anymore that is just what I have done. They bought this debt for pennies on the dollar and that does not give them the right to try and bully me into paying them, which I am not. I would like you to reach out to them because this company is breaking the law in the State of Maryland by trying to collect this debt.

I believe this is a collection company which I have already spoken with about a debt, they are continuing to call multiple times a day on both my home and cell phone. I have asked them to stop calling my cell phone three times now and I just received another call. Noone is there when I answer and it disconnects. I thought this matter was resolved years ago when I established my identity was stolen and fraud alerts were placed on all credit reports. I did not purchase anything using XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and have demanded validation from all previous Collection Agents yet none were ever able to validate the debt was mine. More than that the Statute of Limitations expired on this invalid debt and I assumed the matter was closed. Now a junk debt buyer has bought it and hopes to collect on it.

A letter was sent to me dated XX/XX/2016 from First Step Group stating that they want to settle on an outstanding debt. There are XXXX issues XXXX the account number they report is XXXX I never had, and to, I have ten years worth of documentation including credit reports that prove that account number does not exist.
