The debt collection company First Choice Assets ( XXXX ) has called my number and my wife 's number repeatedly with request for my personal information, which they say they already have and is looking to verify so that they can collect a debt. Everytime they call, they call from different numbers, with different area codes. And sometimes with different names of who they are representing. They originally called my wife in XXXX of XXXX looking for me. She forwarded the information on to me and I called the number they gave to her. XXXX asked for my personal data and I verify the accuracy of the personal data. They proceed to state that I have an outstanding auto debt tied to an address that I lived 12 years prior. I replied that the debt is not mine and do not call my wife 's nor my number again. They stated at the time, that I would be served with papers at my home that day and to remain there until the process server showed up. The operator then hung up. I did not stay at home and I did not get served papers. Nor did I expect to because I knew they were out of line. Recently on XX/XX/XXXX they called my wife 's cell number and my cell number, while we're both at work. I called back and after the operator verify my personal data and spoke about the same fraudulent debt I requested again that they stop calling our numbers. They called my number again on XX/XX/XXXX with another name. They stated that they were a law firm and left a message. I called back again. Again I requested that they stop calling. The call was disconnected. I called back and requested that they stop harassing us and the operator stated " Good luck with the lawsuit. '' And hung up the phone. The morning of XX/XX/XXXX they call both my wife 's number and my number. Again while we're at work. I call back and ask for contact information for the company so that I could report them. The operator would not give me any information, including the NAME of the company that's calling. She only keep stating that the debt is mine and that they will have to sue me. I continue to ask for contact information and the call was eventually disconnected. At the same time of me calling, someone who stated he was a " supervisor '' called my wife again and threatened to contact our home loan provider if the debt is not taken care of. I called back again and was forward to who I assumed told my wife he was a " supervisor ''. Again threats of served papers, liens at addresses was stated from the " supervisor ''. This is while I STILL was trying to get contact information for this company. The only this the " supervisor '' stated was the name of the company was First Choice Assets. He asked why do I need they information. I stated that I wanted to have my attorney deal them. He said " You don't have an attorney. '' and hung up the phone. They AGAIN call my cell phone 2 hours later while I'm still at work and left another message. I call back later and AGAIN request that they remove my phone number. They operator only said " It's removed '' and disconnected the call.

Today XX/XX/XXXX I received a call today from First Choice Recovery, a debt collections agncy. Upon questioning the cs agent he got really rude, interrupting me and began threatening me saying he's gon na send officers out wth a letter. He said he was calling about a debt he said I got in XXXX from XXXX. Once I spoke to XXXX XXXX they had no acct for me being delinquent or going into collections, they told me they keep their records once they go into collections. I then called XXXX XXXX at First Choice Recovery back giving him the info XXXX gave to me and told him to send me the documents to validate his call and the said debt. He then told me he would send me the documents at the close of this business day, to which I have not received. I do not have this old debt nor do I claim this debt. I want to file a complaint against this debt collection company. I have worked at a debt collection company and do know that it is against the law to threaten anyone concerning a debt or anything else. Please forward this on to whomever will respond to this complaint. I am available for any information you need. I spoke to XXXX XXXX XXXX him my debit card nfo fearing their threats but after speaking with him I checked this info on the computer and made calls to the company XXXX XXXX and to First Choice. Once learning the truth I then called my bank and told them not to honor that draft due to fraud. I did not make this debt in XXXX, furthermore, the XXXX XXXX told me they did not service Georgia. We have been told many times on the news not to succumb to such tricks and yet I fell for it but rectified it. the said debt was back in XXXX from XXXX of which there is no record of me receiving the said funds nor any records of a collections debt from them in their system. I spoke with XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX and can't recall the young lady that assisted me, both told me they hve NO RECRD of any debt in my name in their system or in those debts turned over to collections.

Constant phone calls, when you answer the line hangs up! they keep calling my cell, my wife 's cell, plus my home phone!. They never leave a message!. So my wife called back the phone number, XXXX and was told that she was calling First Choice Assets. Then they asked to speak too XXXX Which is me. So my wife hands me the phone, and the person on the other end was XXXX, i cant remember his last name. It started out that he needed me to verify that i was XXXX by giving him the last 4 of my social security number, which i am sorry i did!! Then i ask XXXX what is this call about? He starts telling me that he is a dept collector, that i owe a balance from a medical bill which my insurance paid, and i am responsible too pay the balance owed.He tells me this is back in XX/XX/XXXX and the name of my insurance company was commercial medical ins. Now it gets better!, because he lets me know that this phone call is being monitored then tells me that i owe {$250.00}. I told XXXX that i have no idea what he is talking about, just send me papers and i will look at them. Then he goes into the next phase of his tactic 's asking me am i refusing too pay the balance owed?. Well by now i have reached my boiling point and lost it, i told XXXX yes i am!! especially to you! I might have cursed at him, because he raised his voice, which he did not intimidate me at all!! I told him to do whatever he has to due, and hung up! Also be advised that i did not have a Commercial medical insurance policy, and i do n't think they Exist. This phone conversation was on XX/XX/XXXX in the evening between XXXX.

The company is First Choice Assets LLC. They have bought a debt from 2009 and the statute of limitations has run out in CA ( 4 years ) and their practices are sketchy. They start by saying they need to verify info to send an important package ( after 4 phone calls like this I have not received anything ). Then they want verification of the last XXXX of the social security number. After that they start to ask why I defaulted on the debt. It was 7 years ago. I have told them each time they have called that this debt is past the statute of limitations in CA. In fact, the first guy said they need to get this resolved before it runs out ... almost like they know they legally ca n't collect on this. This debt has been removed from my credit report so I know as far as the debtor is concerned it 's over. Each time I confirm that the call is being recorded and each time I have told them that they can not collect anything and I am not paying them a penny. One guy asked me if I had ever been served papers regarding a debt. Usually when confronted they just hang up, but every couple of months they call me again. It scares me how many people do n't know the law and are paying these guys for old debts. I have asked them to stop calling me, which they said they would, but i doubt it, because they have called themselves by more than one company name and claim no one has contacted me before.

The company called me numerous of times about a debt that was owed to a collection agency, in which was resolved in the year ( 2014 ). My lawyer submitted the check to the company and now, I 'm being harassed by the collection agency. They mentioned that it was never made. I contacted my lawyer and he sent me information regarding the payment that was made to the Ambulatory service. I went ahead and submitted the payment before I was sent the info from the lawyer just to get them off of my back and to somewhat protect my credit standing. Even though I sent them the actual proof, they still say that it was for another ambulatory service for around the same year. I mentioned to them, I was only involved in one accident in that year and that has got to be the one and only accident that you are referring to! They became troublesome, defensive and did n't want to hear what I had to say even though I submitted proof! I asked them for a refund for the amount that was paid and they argued the fact that it was not the same account?!! I 'm asking for a reason why they would collect more money from me even though it was already submitted by the attorney with proof!?

Constantly calling regarding an account I have n't been contacted about since I closed the account. Saying I still owe money and when I asked for a copy of the bill, refused to send it multiple times and then it finally came in the mail. This is a bill from over 4 years ago that I know I had paid and closed after looking over the information. The calls stopped for about a month until today when the supervisor was getting very hostile and basically stating in simpler terms that I 'm being lazy and not wanting to pay the bill all because I 'm not giving them my card information over the phone considering I 've had my information stolen before from a previous card of mine. I 'm sure I 'm not the only person who has had this similar issue with this company. They 're very unprofessional and rude. Coming from a person with a business degree, that 's the perfect example of bad business and is liable for that company to not receive anything due to their attitudes.

A person calling from XXXX ( XXXX/XXXX/15 ), claiming they are debt collectors, are calling every day. When I answer the phone often hangs up. I called it back, a man answered and asked for my address and last XXXX of my social security number. When I refused and asked for verification he said that he could not give me any information without my last XXXX. He said that this matter was very serious and that I needed to get it settled. He told me to call back after I was ready to verify my last XXXX. He asked to confirm my address, the address he stated was incorrect. I hung up. This number has called several times. Previous numbers include XXXX ( XXXX/XXXX/15 ), XXXX ( XXXX/XXXX/15 ), XXXX ( XXXX/XXXX/15 ). there are also several XXXX numbers calling, I think from the same people.

The person calling me from this number ( XXXX ) made threats to me over the phone. They asked me for my social security number, a bank account number, and birth date, and when I asked for them to mail me documentation in the mail, they refused. I feel very uncomfortable with their process and the fact that they had my personal information. I would like this to be investigated. This is the website for their company that they gave me : XXXX/
