I purchased a vehicle and they have that starter lock on it I had some hardships come upon me were I was not able to make the payment, they were notified that the payment was not be able to be made on the date that it was due prior before the due date and they had chose to not acknowledge the warning that I would not be able to make the payment on time not even a few days after the payment is due the vehicle starter lock was engaged and I and vehicle was disabled from being started they claim they can not unlock the vehicle to start for me to be able to use it until a payment is made they have asked if I have family members I can ask for money to make the card payment or get money from to make the payment when the payment was only a couple days late as of today it is still not even 30 days past the due date. My wife and I are the ones that are on the loan and at the time it was acquired we were both working when she had lost her job and was no longer working we had let them know and had requested if there was any way to lower the payment because our income had been decreased and they rejected that request knowing that it was only one income at the time now. I live in northern Utah not in XXXX XXXX XXXX where the public transportation is lacking it does not go into a good majority of The metropolitan areas it only sticks to main thoroughfares. And for a good portion of the time during the pandemic the public transportation was not even operating at the hours that I needed to get to work where I would have to Walk to work that was 6.5 mi roughly away from where I lived and that would mean that I would have had to leave my home about XXXXXXXX XXXX. to make it to work on time by XXXX XXXX. for 5 roughly 6 days a week. This is not the first time they have locked the starter One or two days after the payment was due and when they do it they send an email about 30 minutes before they close asking to contact them immediately so when I see the email they have already closed and left office and my car is disabled for the remaining night until the morning when they come back to work if not over the weekend. I have had to resort to the to the restricting the methods of contact with them because the day the payment was due first thing in the morning when their office was opened they were calling and calling over and over until someone answered saying that the payment is due what it is late they have even resorted to calling my work trying to get a hold of me the day the payment is due not given me and ample time to make the payment of the due date. As of last communication with them I was told that the car can not be unlocked until I payment is made directing me to find the money somehow someway borrow it from someone etc etc now the car has been locked for well over a week with another two weeks to before they end it to collections which really means repossession it is unconscionable that they can restrict the use of it feed lies to my wife and myself about how to get it unrestricted all the while setting it up for repossession while I have no access or use of it for the last 30 days in that point in time and demand payment while not having said vehicle to be able to look for. A job or get to and from job interviews I've recently had to turn down job due to my ability to get there it's a self-fulfilling prophecy when they have that much control that they can cause you to default on their loan by restricting your use of the vehicle

I have asked the company on several occasions to only contact me through us mail or email. The most recent contact attempt to locate me was on XX/XX/XXXX when they called 3 of my relatives who were included in my Cease and desist and those same relatives have asked the company to not call them as well. Due to pending small claims court action through XXXX Justice Court I had requested a copy of my entire file and you will see below is a list of the companies memos made on my account from different employees, 17 different times they have made notes in my account as far as a Cease and desist account. However they continue to contact me and continue to contact my references while I have included them in my requests to not contact. They have my current information to locate me as we have ongoing litigation through the XXXX justice court, There is no reason for them to continue to contact my references when I have told them to stop. My references have also told them to stop calling. Most recent calls were on XX/XX/XXXX. I have written documentation to show my requests and the company continues to ignore those requests. On XX/XX/2021 XXXX XXXX mst I received an email from the Equitable finance company in XXXX Utah which is attached that today your auto loan is 29 days past due and I needed to contact them to set up a plan so we can avoid further action. The company has disabled the car on XX/XX/2021 2 days after their 10 day grace period. We contacted them immediately to find out what is going on at that time they encouraged us to form a plan of borrowing money from our parents our friends our family anything just to get them paid we explained multiple times we don't have those options that if they would just reenable the car that I would have a job in no time but they wouldn't hear anything except " we have your money '' like they were drug dealers or mob bookies. We have paid them XXXX as of today and loan amount is XXXX and are absolutely unwilling to work with us in any way shape or form we pay an interest rate XXXX or XXXX unsure which since they are both on the contract. Whenever we ask the company for clarification on anything on the contract they know nothing. Fast forward to XX/XX/2021 XXXX mst my daughter was on her way to work and comes inside to inform us that there is a tow truck getting our only car. When I went outside the 2 boys who were doing this began to panic and when I asked who they were neither would answer the one operating the controls looked down and would look up again and the other asked me for the key I refused and asked what he was doing and was again ignored so I went inside to call the equitable finance company I was put in touch with the asst manager who knew nothing of the repossession that was currently happening her boss which knew nothing kept being referred to refer to your contract and I have referred to the contract there is no provision that 29 days is repossession time there is nothing in the contract whatsoever to remedy such acts the contract is as basic as it gets when asked what their policy is their responses always well we're a subprime blah blah blah blah blah when pointed out that subprime is not a legal term but a banking term they become dispondent and act like they don't understand what I mean at this point the manager gets on the phone and repeats endlessly that this is a subprime loan company refer to your contract and that's the end of that I have tried for 2 months to work with them and gotten nowhere

I aquired an auto loan with approved credit, I had a very negative experience with the woman managing my loan, she tried having my car repossessed, she added late fees and penalties fraudulently throughout the length of the loan. When I told her I was coming to pay the balance in full she fraudulently repossessed my car and sold it. I paid the payoff in full and fought hard to get my car back. And after I purchased the car she continued to report that payments were not being made for years. I in fact found out she was still report delinquent payments long after I had sold the car to someone else. I pulled my credit maybe a year after I sold the car, approx. XXXX and she had been miss reporting that I hadnt made a payment in 5 years. I paid off the car loan with her company in XXXX Again, I had sold the car in XXXX, before I found out she was still reporting no payments being made. I Ibecame XXXX for XXXX years as a result of poor credit. I called the company in XXXX and they eventually removed the file but this has been affecting me and my credit for nearly 5 years. Which contributed to my current credit issues.

Starting the DAY a payment is due they start calling that morning leaving a message saying it is urgent I call them. The payment is due on the XX/XX/XXXX of every month and they call that morning of the XX/XX/XXXX to ask about the payment. Im usually not paid by then so I get them at a later date of payment. They will send the emails in The payment is due on the XX/XX/XXXX of every month and they call that morning of the XX/XX/XXXX to ask about the payment. Im usually not paid by then so I get them at a later date of payment. They will send the emails in caps, Saying it is urgent to call them when Im usually only a week or two late on the payment. They always say it is urgent to call them on the date the payment is due. 100 % of the time I have the payment by the end of the month to them is just where the payment plans is a bad payday for me.

I was excited to get a car. And I got a truck for {$8000.00}. The interest rate is 29.99 %. I am having a hard time making the payments with the high interest rate and the balance never goes down. I spoke with Equitable Finance, and they told me that my wife needs to get a job. I am a XXXX male and we have XXXX children. I do not want my wife working and childcare would be more expensive than what she could make. I ask for a lower interest rate and they said no. I am 17 days late on my payment and they turned my truck off. Now I can not work. Equitable Finance told me on XX/XX/XXXX that I should get a job at XXXX 's to pay my bill. And they did not care about my values in my XXXX community
