I have been working with DebtBlue to payoff some credit card debt and I wish to payoff my entire balance and also inquire about the terms of the current debt. After calling them and not getting a good response I sent them an email in order to maintain a written record. On XX/XX/2021 I sent the following email to XXXX : Dear DebtBlue, I would like to pay off my loan. Kindly let me know at the soonest : What is the pay off balance? What was the original principal? What is the APR? What are the instructions to pay off the remaining balance? This is my second attempt to contact you. I hope to hear from you this time. Many thanks, on XX/XX/2021 they responded : Hello XXXX, This is XXXX with DebtBlue. The amount to payoff your account will be {$2800.00}. {$2300.00} - to payoff your account {$500.00} - Fees {$1800.00} - Settlements {$30.00} Cushion = {$2800.00} If you have anymore questions feel free to call in at ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ext XXXX Thank you, XXXX at DebtBlue. Notice in the email they did not provide the all the information requested. In particular they did not explain how I could payoff the balance as I had requested. on XX/XX/XXXX responded : Many thanks. Please also confirm the original principal as I had requested in my previous email. As I also wrote in my previous email I want to pay off the full remaining balance ( {$2800.00} ). Please send me the instructions to pay off this remaining balance at your earliest convenience as I had also requested in my previous email. I received no response and sent a subsequent email on XX/XX/XXXX : Dear XXXX, This is my third attempt to obtain instructions on where and how to pay off my loan balance and find out about the APR. Is your lack of response a willful attempt to prevent me from paying off my loan and incur additional interest costs? Is your unwillingness to share my current APR an additional evidence of your lack of transparency? If I do not receive clear instructions on where and how to pay the remaining balance within the next 24 hours, I will consider the answers to be yes and will contact the CFPB. Regards, I have yet to receive a response to my inquiry. As my above email suggest and as their inaction demonstrate, I believe this is a willful act to prevent me from paying off my debt and continue to incur an unknown interest rate ( which they refuse to disclose ). Even the monthly statement lack transparency - most loan statements clearly stipulate the remaining balance and interest. I believe that this is not an isolated problem but a systematic deficiency in their lending practice that is intentionally deceptive in order to prevent consumers from paying off their loans or perform comparison shopping for a better rate. The consequence is widespread financial damage to the consumer.

Debt blue has been taking {$180.00} a month since XX/XX/2019 to pay off my debts. They take some fees for legal help but when I was sued for a debt last year they didn't provide legal help to me. I complained and never heard from them about this issue. I paid out of my own pocket to file the lawsuit in court, took off work to go there, and they never reimbursed me. I never was contacted by a legal person til the day it was due to be filed and I already had filed it earlier that day. They drug out the last debt if mine I called repeatedly to settle and they had zero communication with me about needing my signature notorized and continue to draft {$180.00} the whole time. They settled it on phone last week and told me I wouldn't be getting more drafts monthly from my account and that I would even be getting money back I paid into this program and apparently that is not true!!! Now because no one made a " note '' of telling me that they are acting as if I am lying. Had I known I was going to be paying fees for services they weren't providing I would have fought paying them and never ever gone with this company. I am now XXXX, have no income and they are telling me I owe them {$460.00} for the last settlement for a " performance fee ''. I'm the one who requested they settle my last debt after having enough money to cover it in my account with them and pushed it now they are continuing to charge me for their " performance ''. This company has well overcharged me for the services they did not provide and told me today they saved me 66 % on my debt but will NOT answer to any of the issues I've had with them with the legal services they didn't provide that I have paid for monthly! And the dragging debts out when I had enough money to cover them while they just enriched their own pockets sitting on my money! This seems super unethical!!! Super!

My wife and I signed an agreement with DebtBlue to help us consolidate our debt. We listed 7 accounts, the largest one being a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX credit card with an outstanding balance of {$13000.00}. As part of the agreement I make a monthly payment of {$390.00} for a total of 44 payments to an account at XXXX XXXX to pay for the settlements. This amount is based on what DebtBlue would require to settle all 7 accounts. DebtBlue has settled 5 of the 7 accounts listed in our agreement the 5 smallest accounts. On XX/XX/XXXX we received a summons from XXXX, so I immediately called to ask for their assistance. I was told to send them the paperwork, which I immediately did, but the company did not respond. I called repeatedly and sent several emails but nobody called me back. With only two days to go before the court hearing I finally sent them an email threatening to cancel the agreement and they replied via email that they had been unable to reach me so they left a voicemail and asked me to call them back to discuss my options. I finally called the lawyer representing XXXX and negotiated a settlement directly with them. I then requested that DebtBlue remove this account from the list and adjust the monthly payment to subtract this amount but their answer was that they would not change the draft amount due to me handling the XXXX account on my own so we can build funds and clear up the remaining accounts. Of course, they asked me to call them for any further questions. I am complaining because this company failed to represent me with the largest and most difficult account. They ignored my calls and emails and now expect me to continue paying the same amount even though I have taken responsibility for the largest account. I feel they failed to help me in the most difficult moment and now pretend to continue to take advantage of us.

Four months ago I signed up with Debt Blue to assist me in resolving my debt crisis A debt settlement with XXXX XXXX was 50 % off what was owed. Suddenly excessive fees occurred. {$690.00} and another {$250.00} was withdrawn from my account with XXXX XXXX. No explanation prior to withdrawal. This is a predictor practice. Immediately I would have my account closed with Debt Blue and a full refund that was withdrawn from my bank account.

No date, no company name just a number to call to settle an outstanding debt I do not owe. No reference to which company I owe the so call debt to. It seems like they grouped the big credit card companies and came up with an amount they think I owe. Then stated if I don't call I will accrue monthly interest on my unsecured credit card balance.
