Figliola & Romano sent me a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX that I owe a {$1100.00} debt for XXXX XXXX. They said they are collecting the debt. I sent them a letter XX/XX/XXXX ' asking them to verify the debt per MA regulations. XX/XX/XXXX ' they sent me a letter saying they will send me validation of the referenced debt. Letter dated XX/XX/XXXX ' they sent me accompanied credit card statements of the alleged debt. I responded XX/XX/XXXX via letter that the credit card statements failed to validate the debt Pursuant to 940 CMR 7.08 ( 2 ), they did not oblige by sending documents ( a ) to ( d ) which in part entails documents must bear my signature - Documents provided to me did not bear my signature. Also they did not send the mail as first class as required by the regulations but by standard mail. I asked them to validate the debt as documents provided not sufficient. Instead of trying to resolve this matter w/ me, they sent me a letter XX/XX/XXXX saying what they sent me validates the debt, thus they reject my request to further validate the debt as I still dispute it. And that they will no longer respond to any request to substantiate the validity of the death - this is unfair & deceptive collection practices per MA 940 CMR 35:00 ; especially during a current state of emergency due to the Pandemic. I even told them they in error mis reported me on my credit part but they refuse to listen to me.
