I leased a car from XXXX in XXXX XXXX, MO. Paid for it on time for 2 years when the transmission went out. I paid the {$500.00} deductible for XXXX to take it to the mechanic of their choice to put repair. I got the car back 4 weeks later after threatening to call XXXX XXXX XXXX to have their Problem Solvers team try to get my car back. I then drove it 5 months and the rebuilt transmission started acting up. XXXX told me to drive it to their office in XXXX ( 88 miles from my home ). I did so that day. They told me the transmission was going out again but I'm 6 miles over the warranty so I have to pay another {$500.00} deductible to have it repaired again. I asked if I could pay the up charge to get a different vehicle this time. They said I would still have to pay to have the transmission replaced because I can not turn in a car that is not in the shape it was when I purchased it. They said the only other option is to pay the {$2000.00} to get out of the lease. I asked if I could write a check, they said no it would have to be money order or cashiers check. I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX and got a money order, took it back and paid to get out of the lease. They said they would get paperwork to the bank and I would recieve it within 90 days. At the end of the 90 days I called XXXX they said I needed to call the bank that financed it & gave me the number. I did the bank representative told me they send all clossed account info to XXXX who then sends it to their customer & I am the customer so I need to take care of it with XXXX. I called XXXX back & the person I needed to talk to was " on the other line '' so I called back 3 times a week, always being told the above excuse or that person " is not in ''. I did this weekly until they closed that location. I tried to call the other location and was told they have no way of pulling info from the closed location. So I had no choice but to hope my {$2000.00} payment went to what it was meant for. Now I see it didn't and Federal Pacific Credit Co, LLC now owns the rights to the lease/loan and are trying to make me pay the remaining balance through their collections dept named XXXX XXXX XXXX

I found out from the credit reporting bureaus XXXX, XXXX and XXXX that there was a negative account under " Federal Pacific Credit LLC '' under account number XXXX. Federal Pacific Credit has failed to provide any legal validation or a dunning letter in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I am seeking proof that this debt is mine and will require a copy of the original contract under which the credit account was obtained, as well as monthly statements since the debt was purchased. The company often refresh this account on my report. Balance of this unknown account his XXXX in last 6 months. Also company is reporting multiple 120 day late payments to further affect my credit score. I have sent several letters, including notarized formal validation letters seeking this verification and to this date Federal Pacific Credit has failed to provide the information requested. Or even responded. They also us multiple mailing address for their company were they do n't sign for mail. Multiple returned letters. I have called the company to get mailing address from them directly and still my mail gets returned. Federal Pacific Credit is clearly in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and I will seek legal action against this company for the practices if the issue is n't resolved immediately. Federal Pacific Credit has not provided the undersigned with any evidence to substantiate its claims that this debt is a legitimate debt. Further, there has been neither proof that Federal Pacific Credit has permission to collect this debt, nor have they provided previous verification of this debt. Finally, I have received no information that Federal Pacific Credit currently possesses any documents of this debt. Since this company has failed to provide any evidence of the claims made in their response, I am led to believe that neither Federal Pacific Credit possesses adequate documentation to collect this alleged debt. In order to provide proof that this is a legitimate debt of over 7 years and they have the right to collect this debt.

After repeated call to my cell phone and employer, I was finally able to call the company back and spoke to XXXX. I asked what they were calling about and they said I had a debt with XXXX XXXX from 2011. I advised " XXXX '' that this was not my debt and asked him for further information such as dates. I advised him that this was supposed to have been disputed and resolved so then he said " I thought you said this was not your debt! '' and before I could get a word in he threatened to pursue legal action and file a XXXX form with the IRS and hung up on me. I called back and spoke to another man, whose name I did n't get, and advised him of my conversation with XXXX. I told him that XXXX rudely hung up on me assuming the debt was mine. I advised him that this was not my debt and I had submitted a dispute long ago and had gotten this resolved. I advised him repeatedly that this was not my debt. He asked for my name and the last 2 of my ss # and after I provided that information to him I tried repeatedly to ask him to send me proof of this so-called debt in writing but he kept interrupting me. It felt almost like he did n't want me to say my request although I tried he talked over me and then abruptly placed me on hold for several minutes until I had to hang up because I had to return to work. I thought that I had gotten this incorrect information fixed long ago until this week when I began receiving multiple calls and messages from XXXX XXXX XXXX. The most frustrating part is that these men will not give me the time of day to properly request information in writing and advise them of the dispute resolution. Before he rudely hung up on me, XXXX said not to call them back unless I 'm ready to come to an agreement and that if I do n't resolve the matter they are filing a XXXX form. I should not have to go through the headache of disputing a XXXX when I already " resolved '' this erroneous debt years ago, nor should I be coerced to make " arrangements '' for something that I am not liable for.

I contacted Federal Pacific Credit Company to validate the debt they said I owe as I do not have a contract with them I also asked for the following as well : A copy of purchase agreement between XXXX XXXX and Federal Pacific Credit company. With XXXX XXXX giving all rights to this debt including the right to receive payment and charge interest to Federal Pacific Credit Company. If there have been any other changes or adjustments since the last billing statement from the original creditor, for them to please provide full verification and documentation of the amount you are trying to collect. Explain how that amount was calculated. In addition, explain how the other changes or adjustments are expressly authorized by the agreement creating the debt or permitted by law. Do they have a debt collection license from my state? provide the date of the license, the name on the license, the license number, and the name, address and telephone number of the state agency issuing the license. On XX/XX/2017 I was sent a response of a retail installment sales contract with a dealership and not the original creditor they say I owe to validate this debt and along with a letter from them addressed as a lawyer with a payoff agreement. My complaint with Federal Pacific Credit company is as follows : - They have not provided me with any of the above information requested - They have put new collection balances on my credit report every month, as if I am somehow in a monthly agreement with them. - They are not licensed or permitted in my state allowing them to collect finance charges as a financial institution.

To The CFPB : XXXX My office has been receiving threatening and harassing calls form an alleged debt collector FEDERAL PACIFIC CREDIT. My office has received XXXX calls stated '' you must call us now XXXX, regarding a case number, " it is imperitive you call now, XXXX XXXX ''. I learned form calling this so called company back it is in regards to a predatory credit card that I had over 7 plus years ago, which was cancelled as I was legally advised to do called TRIBUTE CARD. This guy stated there is {$1300.00} in fees alone and more. A closed credit card even predatory can not charge fees on a closed account as per the FCRA. Under the FCRA this card is PREDATORY and I owe nothing to this predatory card, nothing. Secondly, it is over 7 years and this questionable debt collector with a very questionable website at http : //www.fedpacific.com in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX They gave my home address, asked for mailing address and called me XXXX. I never go by XXXX as well. My office checked the owner or a so called Executive is XXXX XXXX. My office learned as well under Rip Off Report this alleged company buys outdated debts from predatory credit card companies. My office was legally advised to file this complaint, if the harassment and threats do not stop, my office will take legal action to stop it on XXXX XXXX and her alleged Federal Pacific Credit Collections. Thank you XXXX XXXX, petitioner

Law office has called several times in an attempt to collect a debt. A family member tells me that their spouse has also received more than 1 call, which I believe is illegal, regarding this matter. On XX/XX/2017, I returned their call and requested verification of the debt. I received a letter, on law firm letterhead, regarding my request on XX/XX/2017. Before I could send a letter to cease and desist communication, they called me again today and left a message. Their letter claims that they represent Federal Pacific Credit Company, who also happens to have the same address as the law firm. Are they a law firm or a collection agency? I have never entered into any financial contract with either of these companies, therefore I do not owe them anything. The original creditor they mention, XXXX, and associated account has exceeded the SOL in the state of Florida. They can not file suit against me, nor can they report to a credit reporting agency.

I received some phone calls and the attached letters from the company and I do n't ever remember ever having this credit card. In 2010 I went to my Credit Union, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and enrolled in their credit education program. It took me about 3-4 years to get all my reports cleaned up and paid so that I could retire and buy a home. About a month ago I received the first letter then phone calls that left voice mails. I sent a Cease and Desist letter and have heard nothing since but now they have put it on my credit report. It also is way over the statute of limitations in the state where this agency is and the state where I live anyway

I received a debt collection letter from a law firm. The original creditor name and client name is unfamiliar to me. My credit reports do not indicate any fraudulent activity nor any accounts on default. Attempts to identify and contact both original creditor and client were unsuccessful. The creditor has a telephone number that does not exist and the client 's address and telephone number are the same as the law firm 's. When I contacted the law firm, before I could provide them with any information contained in the letter, they already knew who the client was listed on the letter.
