For the first time, I had rented a car from XXXX from an individual who operates under their platform. I will never be using this company again because of how this situation was handled. I received notification from XXXX that a cleaning fee of {$50.00} had been added to my rental that took place in XXXX. After receiving this notification, I immediately responded that I wanted to dispute this cleaning fee. The cleaning fee in itself was completely inappropriate and was not warranted by the owner of the vehicle. I requested proof of the " excessive cleaning '' that was needed, because I find it completely inappropriate for owners of vehicles to charge these excessive cleaning fees without proving these costs were actually incurred, and believe that is a completely appropriate request. I did not hear back from XXXX for 4 days after requesting this, and was out of town when they responded. Within 2 days of their response, I received a text that this " debt '' had been transferred to a collection company. I immediately reached out to XXXX and requested further information on this situation, and was told that I needed to reach out to the Collection Company because this had already been transferred. XXXX 's responsiveness to this issue was very limited and they were very quick to transfer this fee to a collection company ... .that in itself is an issue. Especially when something as small as this can have such a large impact on someone's credit scores. After a few weeks, I was contacted by this collection company and I really hope they record their phone calls because the representative from the Collection Company flat out lied to me on the phone. I told the representative from this collection company that I wanted to dispute this record and that I would be contacting the CFPB if any negative remarks were sent to the credit bureaus. Multiple times, the representative ensured me that they worked with XXXX and that nothing negative would happen with this fee. Yesterday, I received notification that my credit score dropped by XXXX points, so I would have to say that the representative lied to me. He also stated that he was going to be sending me an email that could allow for me to dispute this ridiculous cleaning fee, that they would then forward/work with XXXX on, and I never receive anything and I have not heard anything from this collection company since. I also have never received anything in the mail nor have I received applicable communication from XXXX or this Collection Company on how we can resolve this. There has been no direction by either company on how to resolve this, outside of paying the fee. I have requested proof of the fee that was acquired by the owner of the vehicle, which I believe is a completely appropriate request since owners should not be able to pile on unnecessary fees on their own accord, and have received nothing but the filing of this collection. I am requesting the CFPB reach out to these companies to confirm on this debt that I do not believe should have to be paid by myself. I will also be filing a complaint against both with the XXXX and would like to have this negative remark immediately removed from my credit report, since they have refused to address the dispute that should have been handled before this transfer took place. If anything further is needed from myself, I can be reached at XXXX or XXXX

I received a debt collection notice from a collection service, on our around XX/XX/2022 The amount of the debt to be collected is {XXXX} In the notice I was informed that I needed to contact the collection agency by XX/XX/2022 to stop the disputed charges. I immediately contacted the collection agency to dispute the charge. I also asked for billing records from the creditor. After reviewing the billing records, it is my belief that I owe a balance of {XXXX} that I am happy to pay. I contacted the collection agency via email on XX/XX/XXXX and told them I believed I owed the amount of {XXXX} On XX/XX/2022 I sent a follow up email indicating that I was waiting for a reply. On XX/XX/2022 I sent a second follow up email indicating that I was waiting for a reply. On XX/XX/2022 I sent a third follow up email, stating I had been trying to resolve the dispute for over two weeks, and that I had not received any response to the information I had provided. At that time I inquired if I should consider the matter closed. I obviously wasn't going to receive any information from the collection agency. I then contacted the collection agency by phone. I told them that I had been attempting to resolve the issue for over two weeks. During this phone call, the collection agencies agent informed me that the creditor had up to thirty days to respond to my dispute. I called the collection agency today. It has been five weeks since I filed the dispute. The collection agency told me that the matter was " on hold ''. I stated that I was given a certain time to respond to the initial collection notice, which I did, and that the creditor had a specified time in which he needed to reply, which he failed to do. It is my belief, that since the creditor failed to respond in the specified time, that the matter should be dismissed. I feel that the collection agency, FCR is acting unfairly by allowing the creditor more than the thirty day response time. I would like to mention that the creditor went out of business without any notification. I had never received a bill or late notice for the amount in question. I also have approximately 15 emails that document the billing problems I had with the creditor in a two year period

In XXXX of XXXX I ordered some supplements from XXXXXXXX. Upon receiving the products it was discovered that I was allergic to some of the ingredients in the product. I sent an email as well as called the company and informed them that I needed to return the product. I obtained a RMA # and sent the items back. After not receiving the refund I was due I contacted them several times and inquired about the status of the refund. I was told that the refund would be given as the product had been received. I did not get a refund so approximately a month later I filed a dispute with my credit card company. My credit card company then notified me that XXXX had not responded so I was given the refund back to my card. In XXXX of XXXX ( 2 years later ) I received a call and a letter from a collection agency trying to collect on the charge back amount. I responded within the required time frame and received another email on XX/XX/XXXX stating that XXXX is now claiming they never received the product back. I thereby went onto my XXXX account and looked at the history and it shows my order was canceled and that no other orders were mailed out. XXXX has no right to try to collect on a debt not owed to them. I returned any product ever sent to me and have not made any other orders since. XXXX is threatening collection and negative credit reporting in the use of their vendor they are using as a collection agent. They have failed to provide any proof of an order coming to me and also have failed to document the numerous calls I made them asking about the refund status. They also failed to respond within the 60 days required when my bank originally reached out to them when I filed the dispute. XXXX should be barred from collecting on the debt as they failed to respond in the 60 days originally and for two years never communicated with me directly. For them to hire a vendor who is attempting to collect a debt not owed to them is in violation of FDCPA, UDAAP and Reg E.

On an unknown prior date, I received an e-mail from " FCR Collection Services '' about an attempt to collect a debt. The only information provided was my name and an " account number '', with a link to a website XXXX. The e-mail also included numerous spelling errors and did not include the name of the creditor, the amount owed, any information about disputing the debt, or any contact information for the debt collection service other than the website and a phone number. I reported the e-mail as a phishing attempt via XXXX 's e-mail reporting feature. I never received any physical mail about this supposed debt. On XX/XX/2021 at XXXX XXXX I received a text message from a number unknown to me ( XXXX ) XXXX, the entire contents of which was : " ( my first name ), FCR Services is a debt collector for your XXXX account. To view terms, account details, or pay please click : XXXX XXXX XXXX '' I saw this message the morning of XX/XX/2021. Since this time they did indicate the name of the creditor, and I knew I did have an XXXX ( electric car charging ) account, I searched my e-mail for " FCR '' and found another e-mail in my spam folder similar to the previous. I accessed the website www.paymybalance.com with my " account number '' from the e-mail, my phone number, and my zip code. The site listed a balance due of {$11.00}. The website had a link to dispute the debt. I completed their dispute form and attached my current invoice ( XX/XX/2021 ) from XXXX showing {$0.00} balance. I never received any confirmation of the dispute, but several hours after disputing the debt I did receive another similar e-mail that " FCR Collection Services '' was attempting to collect a debt. I'm still not entirely certain that this isn't a phishing attempt. Their communications have not included the required information including a contact address so I am unable to mail the CFPB-recommended dispute letter.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a textbook rental for {$110.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted an order to purchase the payoff amount for the textbook for {$100.00}. These two purchases total {$220.00}, which was the full purchase price of the textbook. According to my records, the payoff amount of {$100.00} was already remitted to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, on XX/XX/XXXX, the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX attempted to charge my account {$260.00} for this same textbook, which is egregiously erroneous. On XXXX XXXX XXXX FCR Collection Services sent an email stating that the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is its client and that the email is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, FCR Collection Services identified my account number as XXXX. Then, the account number changed. Between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, the company identifies my account number as XXXX. These alterations in identifying my account with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is misleading and a possible violation of fair collection practices. For example, if I paid an amount under one account number, FCR Collection Services may turn around and double charge under a different account number. According to my present understanding, I can not trust the credibility of FCR Collection Services to settle this disputed amount. Furthermore, I can not trust XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to settle this disputed amount because it attempted to charge {$260.00} in addition to the {$110.00} that I already conveyed to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Therefore, I request a good faith management of the disputed amount pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

I signed up for XXXX in XX/XX/2022. I took my family one time. It was a dirty facility with very little staff. My daughter was unable to attend due to her XXXX, my son is XXXX and was unable to use this facility safely without an aide due to his XXXX as well. My payments were set up on autopay. In XXXX XXXX contacted me and said that my account was delinquent. She sent me a membership agreement riddled with typos and then I sent XXXX XXXX an email stating my children had XXXX and could not go to the facility ; per their agreement. I also let her know I had a XXXX patient at home so coming up to the facility and signing documents would be difficult for me. I called and left her a message as well. I did not hear back from her for a month and at that time she stated I needed to pay the entire contract whether we were able to go to the facility or not. I asked her for clarification on why I couldn't just pay the past due and maybe try and bring my son. At that point she told me I needed to pay new fees that she had come up with like a re-enrollment fee and some other stuff. I mailed her a check for half of what she said was due and I again asked for clarification. I did not hear from her again. I clearly stated that we needed to cancel this membership for medical reasons and XXXX XXXX did not honor her own membership agreement, she treated me extremely unprofessionally and disregarded every request for clarification that I had. In XXXX when she sent me an account history she had the contract amounts wrong and said the amount sent to collections was wrong in the first place.

XXXX XXXX XXXX was the durable medical equipment provider for a XXXXXXXX XXXX, which I had in XXXX. I had many negative experiences with this company, due to their lack of professionalism. They tried giving me an outdated machine, which my doctor had not prescribed. After not getting what I wanted The follow up was extremely poor. In XX/XX/XXXX, the owner of XXXX, XXXX XXXX left a phone message asking for a serial number of a brand of machine I didnt even have. Any money that would have been owed on this equipment would have mostly if not completely paid by my medical insurance company, XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), at the time. Unfortunately, I was given erroneous information from the SSA and XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding my medical coverage. Both entities told me I could stay on the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, even though I was XXXX XXXXXXXX. XXXX stopped paying my medical bills when they discovered I was Medicare eligible, which was XXXX XXXX, XXXX. It wasnt until XX/XX/XXXX, that this matter was resolved and any reversed claims paid by XXXX, would have then been then been paid by Medicare, retroactively. I have not received, nor heard from XXXX XXXX XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX, when I spoke and emailed XXXX XXXX, owner of XXXX. His representative handling my supplies had not been responsive to poor quality accessories I needed for the XXXX I never did hear from them again and found a new supplier for my accessories. I do not understand why after nearly five years, I am getting a collection notice on XXXX behalf.

the tire on a car rental i made with XXXX XXXX went out. The tire was actually low as they rented it out to me with a low tire warning. After renting the vehicle for several weeks, and finally for the last time, the tire blew out and left me stranded at a gas station. I believe an XXXX. I called XXXX and although they said they were on the way with a tow, they left me stranded for three hours in the dark. After it was past time to return the vehicle i was instructed by XXXX agents to leave the keys in the vehicle and they will have the tow driver pick it up. Coincidentally the vehicle came up missing after i caught an XXXX home. Not only did they say they would pay for my XXXX, but they lied to the police and told them that i was responsible for the missing vehicle. The company did their investigation and found no ties to me " stealing '' a vehicle that my drivers license was tied to, and I even talked to the owner of the vehicle named XXXX that night who said he would go and pick the car up. Eventually i received a notification that XXXX was taking responsibility for the missing vehicle. Months after I began receiving a string of credit collection emails holding me responsible for the missing vehicle. They have harrased me now for almost two years and this situation has me frustrated because i strained my neck when the tired blew out. The fact that they left me stranded that night and then began to accuse me of the vehicle being missing after i had purchased my own vehicle felt discriminatory.

FCR Collection Services has been contacting me via robocall and text message since XX/XX/2022 for a debt that I do not owe to XXXX. XXXX has not provided me with a written debt validation notice or any basic information. Between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, FCRs messages did not reference any company name. I assumed these were phishing attempts and did not respond. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX referenced XXXX by name for the first time. They texted me again on XX/XX/XXXX and named XXXX. Since then, they have robocalled and texted me numerous times, but XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX are they only dates XXXX has been referenced. I am attaching XXXX screenshots. First ( Attachment XXXX ), the transcription my XXXX provided of the first voicemail I received on XX/XX/XXXX ( note that my phone incorrectly transcribed XXXX as XXXX ). Second ( Attachment XXXX ), the XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX messages that first referenced XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent XXXX a letter by certified mail to the address on their website disputing the debt and requesting a written debt validation notice. The letter was returned to me as undeliverable. I am attaching a PDF of my letter ( Attachment XXXX ), as well as a photo of it returned ( Attachment XXXX ). XXXX continues to contact me by robocall and text message. I am attaching screenshots of a voicemail I received yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, that shows they continue to not provide any basic information about the debt ( Attachments XXXX and XXXX ).

The alleged company Fed Chex Recovery contacted me in XX/XX/XXXX regarding a textbook rental from spring XXXX, which I no longer have in my possession and believe to have returned at the close of that spring semester. The representative from FCR explained that the book was rented from a website called textbook rush, which is valid, but my account on XXXX XXXX shows no overdue books and I received no online correspondence in the three years since I rented books from that company to indicate that the book was allegedly overdue. It was already fishy that I was receiving calls about the book three years too late, especially considering the high late fee of {$500.00} when I rented the book for less than {$100.00} and paid for it in full, but in addition I called the Secretary of State in both states from which I received phone calls ( Nevada and Arizona ), and both Secretary of State offices declared that FCR was not registered as a legitimate business in their records. In addition, I checked my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX, and that credit report showed no record of debt for any textbook rental. I receive calls every 2 weeks from different phone numbers in different parts of the country claiming to be representatives of this FCR debt collection agency. I am currently reaching out to textbook Rush to make certain that no books are overdue on my record.

I've been contacted at least seven times by call from " No Caller ID '' who calls and immediately hangs up. They then leave a message that seems recorded, saying they are from FCR services calling to collect my debt and that I need to pay my outstanding balance. They do not say my name or the amount I supposedly owe. They then proceed to give the phone number : ( XXXX ) XXXX and the website paymybalance.com. Yet when they leave a voicemail, I can see the number they are calling from. They have used the numbers : ( XXXX ) XXXX ( called on XX/XX/23 ), ( XXXX ) XXXX ( called on XX/XX/23 and XX/XX/23 ), ( XXXX ) XXXX ( called on XX/XX/23 ) and ( XXXX ) XXXX ( called on XX/XX/23 and XX/XX/23 ). Another time they called, I was able to answer before they immediately hung up so they couldn't leave a message. Today I started receiving text messages from XXXX. In the text message, they include a website to find more information at XXXX. Not only are they calling about a debt I do not have. They are also impersonating a real debt collection company. The website and phone number for FCR Services are different than what they leave in the voicemail. Even the website to pay the balance to the real FCR Services is different. The fake website to find more information is obviously fraudulent and clearly a scam website.

On XX/XX/XXXX I received a text message that reads : Please contact FCR regarding your account at XXXX or call XXXX. This is an attempt to collect a debt. I called the phone number yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX. The person I spoke to said I owe XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX {$930.00}. She said that the account had been submitted to a law firm ( I dont remember the name of the supposed law firm ), that was preparing to demand payment in full plus unspecified legal fees. I asked the woman to give me a phone number so that I could contact the law firm. She told me they would not speak to me. She then told me that FCR would reclaim the account from the law firm if I would agree to pay them {$150.00} per month for the next 6 months, with the first payment due immediately. I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX this morning, XX/XX/XXXX, and confirmed that my account with them was paid in full years ago. I was treated by physicians there in XXXX. I also checked my credit report with XXXXXXXX. No debt collection claims against me have been submitted to any of the three major credit report companies. FCR is attempting to defraud me of {$930.00}.

I dont owe this debt I paid for what I was initially charged this charge was subsequently added for miles I NEVER DROVE .. they text constantly and I want them to stop if they report it to my consumer reports I will dispute that as well They will be in violation of 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 2 ) which states that a consumer reporting agency may furnish a comsumer report in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer. I the consumer never gave XXXX written consent to report anything on my consumer report. No consent is identity theft. I demand that you remove these inaccuracies off my consumer report immediately. If they are not removed I will not extend my credit to anyone or allow any CRA to furnish a report for me. I would like to state pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 1 ) that the banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate consumer reporting. By allowing CRAs these inaccuracies to be furnished on my consumer report, it may cause me to lose confidence in the banking system. If CRAs want to continue to do business with me, they should delete these inaccuracies off my consumer report.

No information, dates amounts or other wise have been disclosed in writing about this debt. This is an attempt to collect owed money for two text books from what I recall. When the debt was in my account I prior to being sent to collections it showed as a negative in my student finances. Around the time of the negative charge I had a scholarship applied to my account of a few hundred dollars from my school, creating a wash out and covering the charge. After that I was contacted via email about the collection ( no calls or letters ) in attempts to get payment. I submit documentation of my applied scholarship and no negative charges or balance dues on the account to no avail. This was on XX/XX/21. The most recent reply from them was this month on XX/XX/21 almost three months later. They gave me a 10 day notice for more documentation and I requested a detail of the debt in writing, it is a week later and no reply. Can I get this debt cleared altogether for the lack of communication and never receiving certified mail from them?

FCR Collection Services claiming to be attempting to collect an unpaid water bill for the City of XXXX XXXX Texas. Incessant calls. When I finally spoke to them I asked them to verify the debt in writing and provide to me their legitimacy to collection the debt. Gave them a valid address. No written communication was ever received so assumption was it is fraud. This is for a claimed unpaid water bill when I had the water bill on auto pay ( debit ) so makes no sense that I owe anything as the City would have just debited my account. Further when I tried to contact the City of XXXX XXXX, Texas, their water department refuses to provide me with any information. On XX/XX/XXXX ( yesterday ) spoke with FCR Collection Services once again. Their representative acknowledged that they did not send me any written communications but now promised to. Their failure to send written communications after our first phone call ( they have never sent written communications ) I believe is a violation of federal law.

I submitted a complaint through the CFPB against this company in XXXX, 2023 regarding a debt that was previously adjudicated through my credit card. I was advised by the company, through this website, that my account was closed. Today, XX/XX/2023, I received written notice from the company regarding same debt. When I attempted to dispute it online, as the letter said I could, the website directed me to call - I have no idea why they say disputes can be completed online when all their site does is refer people to call. I did call, was not able to understand the persons name, but the call was placed at XXXX EST. I provided the account number on the letter and was advised that the company was told XXXX week ago not to contact me ( this is not true - I received notification in XXXX this was over ) They are still trying to contact me after saying they would stop - she assured me I would not receive anything else, but they did that in XXXX. This needs to stop. The debt was already adjudicated.

I cancelled a home improvement contract with XXXX XXXX in writing before they began work on my property. The contract was signed on XX/XX/XXXX. I wrote to cancel on XX/XX/XXXX and after receiving no response, again on XX/XX/XXXX. I stated in the terms of cancellation notice that they could keep the {$1000.00} deposit I paid, but that I no longer wanted to proceed with the project. They called me over the phone and said that I owed them more than {$10000.00} for cancelling the contract. Later, on XX/XX/XXXX, I was contacted by mail by FCR Services requesting {$10000.00} on behalf of XXXX XXXX. I responded to FCR services by mail on XX/XX/XXXX to dispute the debt. I told them that because XXXX XXXX never attempted to collect this debt via mail and never sent me an invoice that this debt was not valid. They never responded to my letter, but now, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received multiple voice mails from different people at FCR services attempting once again to collect this debt.

I rented a vehicle from XXXX ( peer to peer car rental company ) around XX/XX/2022 for {$460.00}. I had a car accident and frustrated that XXXX provided absolutely no help in the whole process. I wrote to XXXX, and also to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX about XXXX 's bad service. I also filed a claim with XXXX on the towing expenses ( XXXX promised free towing on accident ). XXXX however did not reply back to me, did not response to XXXX did not pay my claim. I decided to dispute my payment of the {$460.00} through my credit card. Again, XXXX did not reply to credit card dispute. Overall, XXXX did not response to any of my complaint through proper channel. Instead, XXXX submitted the bill to collection agency and try to collect from me {$490.00} and try to impair my good credit score. I am asking your help to resolve this matter.

I received a letter dated XX/XX/2018 from FCR Collection Services ( FCR ) indicating that I owe {$250.00}. FCR is trying to collect payment for textbooks that were leased ( and not returned ) by someone using my stolen credit card number. I notified my bank when fraudulent charges appeared on my bank statement and XXXX XXXX removed the charges and cancelled my credit card. I have made two phone calls to FCR explaining the situation. One call was placed in XX/XX/2018 and the other call was placed on XX/XX/2018. FCR requested that I give them my email address so that they could send me an affidavit form to refute these cards. Instead of sending an affidavit form I am receiving monthly emails requesting payment. The latest email is threatening to have may account placed with a law office to pursue collection.

My complaint is with FCR Services, which is being used to collect a debt I owe to XXXX XXXX. I rented a vehicle with XXXX on XX/XX/22 - XX/XX/22. After returning the vehicle, I had a small balance owed of {$41.00} for gas refilling. I was unable to pay this right away, and was planning to pay within a couple weeks. However, XXXX sent my account to Collections on XX/XX/22 - not even 10 days after I returned the vehicle! And now, FCR is charging me an additional {$50.00} in collection fees, for a total of {$91.00}. Everything about this screams unfair and abusive. The fees are more than the original balance owed, and XXXX did not give me nearly enough time to settle my debt with them before sending me to collections, causing possible harm to my credit report and putting an unjust financial burden on me.

FCR improperly calls and emails me about a debt I do not owe from a car rental that was prepaid on the site XXXX. I even received a {$50.00} credit from XXXX for the bad experience yet XXXX refuses to clear the debt with their debt collector FCR. Many people have described the same scheme. I rented a car thru the car sharing site XXXX. After driving far from my home, I realized the car I rented was severally broken and I had to pay to fix things such as the headlights to use the car. After incurring this cost, I notified the host that any additional fees are now void since I am already at a loss with the repairs. XXXX gave me a credit of {$50.00} but then improperly created an invoice which they sent to FCR Collection Services. I later learned that others had the same experience on the XXXX.

I have tried to return the book twice since then 2 YEARS AGO. It is insane that 2 years later a debt collector wants to come after me. i want the debt collector to know that I WILL FIGHT THIS AND WILL NOT LET THEM PUT THIS ON MY CREDIT.

I was called by the collections agency on XX/XX/23 for rental books from my college 's bookstore I was sent to collections for " not returning ''. I have returned them. I told the agency not to contact me anymore. They then contacted me again on XX/XX/23. I did not verify my name and again repeated that they did not have permission to contact this number. The rep, named XXXX, then proceeded to list off all of the phone numbers on the account and asked whose numbers they were. She had no right to share any phone numbers or information with me. I never said or confirmed I was the person she was calling for. When I pointed this out and asked to speak to her supervisor, they were supposedly unavailable.

The phone number they called from is XXXX. I have indeed visited the center with my child 1 or 2 times, but its not a place you can accrue debt. You pay, your child plays, the end. This company has called and texted me numerous times in an attempt to collect an alleged debt. They have violated my rights as a consumer by contacting me without my written consent or the consent of a court of competent jurisdiction. That is against the law. They've also obtained my information without my consent with is infringement upon a consumer right to privacy. Furthermore, I sent them a cease and desist letter and they never responded which is violating my right to enforce my rights. This company has been very deceptive and tried taking advantage of me.

FCR services has either provided a false mailing address or is refusing to receive mail in order to frustrate the communication process and deny me my consumer protections under law. They have also not informed me in communications about who they are or that they are trying to collect a debt. FCR services can not provide any written agreement that states I am responsible for the debt charged.
