In XXXX I returned a vehicle that I was leasing for the purposes of driving for rideshare, that was originally leased through XXXX XXXX leasing, later sold to a company named Fair, the vehicle was returned to fair with no infraction to the contract, and no deficient balance. I verified with Fair before and after returning the vehicle multiple times that there would be no outstanding balance, and I have never been contacted by Fair in any way since returning the vehicle. I have been registered at my previous address and at this address, I have not changed my phone number, I have not changed my name I have not changed any other identifying information and no debt of any sort has ever been communicated to me by either XXXX XXXX XXXX, fair, or XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Since XXXX no debts or collections have appeared on any of my credit reports. I was notified by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXXregarding an alleged debt. I have reason to believe I do not owe this debt because I have never been contacted in any form by XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ; I verified my account in good standing before closing the account is FAIR Leasing ; I verified my account in good standing after closing the account is FAIR Leasing, I have never been contacted in any way by FAIR Leasing since closing the account ; I verified that I did not infract any clause within the lease agreement before and after returning the vehicle, and I have I had no collections activity reported on any of my credit reports since the account was verified closed in good standing in XXXX XXXX. I mailed a demand letter which was received on XX/XX/XXXX I received a response from XXXX dates XX/XX/XXXX, which complies with 15 U.S.C.1692g, and includes the name and address of the original creditor, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX Texas XXXX ) Further, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX, XXXX XXXX or XXXX ), is not reachable, when you call it goes straight to voicemail and there is not an option for extension XXXX or XXXX. So the debt collection agency, XXXX is attempting to comply with or appear that they are complying with the federal statute, but they are representing a company that has never contacted me, has never appeared on my credit report, and can not be called, and I have never been informed of any debt with the original Creditor/Leader " XXXX XXXX XXXX '', which was bought by Fair, and Fair is now out of business and unable to be contacted and you can no longer access any of their customer accounts, and I have never been informed of a transfer of debt or an existence of debt with any of the aforementioned companies, except the attempt at collections by XXXX. I have records of all the communication, all of the transactions from the original lease, all of the communications between me and the debt collector have been written and recorded. So, I am asking to file this complaint against XXXX who I believe is representing either a company or a debt or both falsely, or that they simply do not exist. Communications from the debt collections company frequently contain typos, such as the city in which XXXX XXXX XXXX is located XXXX XXXX XXXX '', nor XXXX XXXX, or an unusual number appearing in front of the company 's name " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ''.

I returned a vehicle that I was leasing for ride sharing purposes, that was originally leased under XXXX XXXX XXXX, whom later closed down operations and was transferred and sold to a company called Fair Financial Corp . The leased vehicle was returned to Fair according to the contract, not violating anything on the contract and was retuned in good condition and per the representative from Fair Leasing, I had no balance owed. I have never changed my mailing address or email. I have not changed any information in regards to my name or identity but yet there has never been any debt communicated to me by any of the parties : XXXX XXXX, Fair Financial Corp, or XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. whom the supposed debt was transferred to, that there was any deficient balance or any balance owed. I do remember, even though this was almost XXXX years ago, after I returned the vehicle, calling Fair XXXX XXXX to confirm that I had no other balance owed and they confirmed over the phone that it was in fact correct, everything was in good standing and I closed the account. I verified and confirmed with Fair XXXX XXXX that I did not infract any clause within the lease agreement before and after returning the vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX. I have had no collections or debt reported on any of my credit reports since I returned the vehicle in XXXX. I have never been contacted by any parties above in regards to any money owed since closing the account until almost XXXX years later, on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX is the first ever debt collection I received from XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I mailed a demand letter for detailed information about this debt via certified mail in which they received on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a response from RPM which complies with XXXX XXXX. XXXX, and includes the name and address of the original creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. In addition, the phone number : XXXX is not a reachable number, it goes directly to voicemail with no other options. It seems, XXXX is trying to comply with the federal statute but they are representing a company that has never reached out to me, has never reported anything on my credit report and can not be reached when called. I have never been informed of any debt from either XXXX XXXX XXXX, Fair who later bought them out and is now also out of business. Since Fair is out of business I have no way contacting them to get access to my customer account or any information so that I can prove to the collections company that I do not owe anything. Like I've said, I have never been informed of a transfer of debt with any of the above companies except the XXXX notice I received XXXX almost XXXX years after the vehicle was returned. I do have the recent communications between myself and the debt collector such as the letter they sent on XXXX, my response on XXXX and their response on XXXX. I am filing this complaint against Fair XXXX XXXX because they failed to adequately update my account to show that the vehicle return did not violate anything on the contract and that all balances were paid in full and on time.

I lease a XXXX XXXX XXXX through the Fair app. Initially paid deposit through app and after receiving my first mailed bill, I made my first payment by phone in XX/XX/XXXX to ensure it got in on time. At that time I set up a recurring monthly payment through Fairs billing entity XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX on the XXXX of each month. For background, Fair sends customers a billing notice telling them they can make payments the following way : 1. One time phone payment 2. Set up monthly recurring payment ( sends you to the XXXX XXXX XXXX number ) 3 By mail Thinking I was set up I left for vacation in XX/XX/XXXX. Didnt notice at the time my account was charged that month TWICE. Once by XXXX XXXX XXXX as I expected, but another charge from the Fair app itself for the same amount!! Happened again. XX/XX/XXXX duplicate charges from these two entities on my statement. Talk to Fair customer service ( by text because they barely have customer service ) and they send you to their billing department - which ends up being XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX tells me they only handle their own charges not those from Fair app. I ask why on earth they exist if Fair is already handling their own payments by app and why do you not have visibility to other duplicate payments Ive made. Rep has no answer. Talk to Fair customer service, by text as usual, and rep tells me to call the billing department. Again. I inform him there are 2 entities billing me. He has no clue about this or what to do. 1. No where does Fair inform consumers they DO NOT NEED to set up monthly recurring payments as they are already set up when they contract with Fair. 2. And yet, Fair mails out an invoice monthly telling consumers you have the above mentioned 3 ways to pay ... as if you arent already set up in the app. One of the ways is to set up a monthly payment with a 3rd party Payment Servicing entity. Which results in duplicate billing. 3. Fair reps are untrained and have no clue how customers get billed and do not assist. 4. Fair has 2 billing entities that do not have visibility to one another, and apparently no way to track, manage or catch duplicate payments. If they even care to do so. 5. Fair has been extremely and willfully negligent in its management of monthly payment processing, as well as careless and confusing with incorrect and misleading billing information that is sent to consumers. There is no efficient or effective way to get assistance with Fair as they dont even understand how their company billing is set up. They are a circus with no concern for customers. Their duplicate billing has put me over my credit limit two months in a row, affected my credit rating, interest, and most importantly negatively impacted my vacation when I could not pay for my last hotel, unknowing they had double dippled on my card. I expect the charges from Fair Financing for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX to be reversed and the company to get itself together with regard to their financial systems and payments.

On XX/XX/2019, I went to get my car to get to work. My vehicle had been repossessed without my knowledge. I called the leasing company and was informed that my vehicle was repossessed by the company for a delinquent balance owed. On Monday the XXXX of XXXX I spoke with XXXX a respresentative for Fair who collected a payment in the amount of {$340.00}. I also told him that I would be making an additional payment on Wednesday the XXXX, after the {$340.00} clears. He put the payment through and also mentioned to me that he would send the an email to the office in New York about the additional " miscellaneous '' to get it corrected. Never in this conversation did he mentioned to me that my car was in repo status. His statement was that this would put my account in 14days behind, giving me the couple of days to make the remaining payment, in the week which would total to {$570.00} for that week. It is now the XXXX of XXXX and my car is reported as repossessed. I spoke with a representative of Fair Inc., who after learning of what happened, transferred me to her Supervisor, XXXX. I explained the entire event to XXXX, and she had informed me that the payment that was made on Monday didn't post to their system, even though it cleared from my bank account. After hearing this, XXXX said that she'd call me back after looking into this matter. This was all at XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. An hour and a half goes by, and around XXXX I call back. XXXX, a representative with Fair Inc. answers, and I share with him the story of what's happening. He emails his supervisor, XXXX who responds back to him to tell him that although they found that is was a misinformation and miscommunication on their end, there is nothing they can do. The result was that I am responsible for the fees that the towing company, the miscellaneous fees that have still not been looked into, and lastly the full payment on the vehicle which is what I've been paying on for the last two and a half years. This company has been poor in their role of accountability and I would NOT recommend ANYONE doing business with them, as the integrity lacks. I still wait for the call from XXXX.

Hello, I contracted with a company named " Fair '' to acquire a short term lease to acquire a car to use for work. I should have realized not to do business with this company after they ran separate hard credit checks inquiries simply because the car I wanted ( and they promised was ready ) was unavailable and I needed to get a different car. I picked up the car, which was misrepresented by the company in the ad, with pertinent damage the exterior and interior with major stains on the cloth interior. The payments were automatically billed against a credit card, however after a few weeks, FAIR began billing each of my two cards {$220.00} per week even after I unsaved my credit card information. Attempting to contact them, in the month of XX/XX/2018, I was required to wait 45 minutes for a human representative who would put me on hold again for a supervisor, who were always conveniently " Not available ''. When I attempted to return the car, the company did not show up & on the agreed upon date and did not call. Fair continued to bill me after my pickup date because the car " did not get returned ''. I have a copy of a signed document showing the car was picked up on the XX/XX/XXXXhowever, a bill on the XXXX. Yet the Fair representative picking up the car insisted I was not allowed to have a copy of the pickup receipt, which I found incredibly inappropriate. However I was so desperate to end their overbilling, I was afraid of giving them any more reasons to say " The car wasnt pick up yet '' and continue to overbill instead of acknowledge their failure to use vendors who do not give out receipts. I was overbilled to the sum of {$1100.00} over the 3 months I was using the car for work, and I received threatening form letters however I can not for the life of me get a supervisor on the phone to actually fix their mistake. I have sent multiple emails and attempted to call their office but I have gone ignored once the person insists its going to a supervisor, but the issue is clear : there isn't anyone with the necessary authority who is available to their customers, after they sign on the dotted line.

Fair placed a hard credit inquiry against my XXXX credit without my knowledge or approval. They claim to not have a letter of deletion to remove Fair is a car subscription app. They require you to take a picture of your licence and give personal information at the start of the app 's process ( SSN ). While researching, Fair claims that this is just a " soft-inquiry '' and they will not appear on my credit. It even said upon the initial entering of the info that this was just a " soft-inquiry '' and would not effect my credit. I was browsing cars on their app on XX/XX/2019. I found a car I was interested in. After selecting some possible payment plans and addition add-ons, I was prompted with a button " Check Car Availability ''. Nowhere along this process I was informed that this button would initiate a HARD credit check. I receive an email which I will attach below. Again, nothing having to do with a HARD credit inquiry. I received those contracts, and after review, decided that I would not be moving forward with this car. I did not sign any contract, proceed with any payment, and I canceled this transaction. Apparently, they grabbed my info which was entered at the beginning of the app ( necessary for even using it ), and applied for a hard credit inquiry at this point. That information was entered initially with the assurance that this was only for a " soft-check '' - but then they later use it for a hard inquiry without informing me at all. To my surprise a few days later, there is a HARD inquiry against my XXXX credit by Fair on XX/XX/2019. I contacted XXXX and the only way to dispute and remove the inquiry is to receive a " Letter of Deletion '' from Fair and mail it to XXXX. When calling Fair - they kept me on hold for 30 minutes - just to tell me that they do not have that type of documentation at their business. Shouldn't they be required to have the document if they are regularly doing both soft and hard credit checks? So now I am stuck. I can not dispute this inquiry with XXXX without the document from Fair - which they will not provide. Please help me.

So I had a weekly lease for the vehicle to drive for work from Fair. I had the vehicle for almost 2 years maintaining the {$200.00} a week with no problem. On a day a payment was due to be taken out it didn't come out of my bank account. I called the company and they told me my account was in good standing and that they would have all the problems fixed. Then the corona virus hit and I wasn't working as much, and they still weren't taking money out of my account weekly and there was no way on the app to pay for the vehicle. I then returned the vehicle since I wasn't driving for work because of covid. They started calling me at about a few months of not taking a payment telling me I needed to pay about {$2500.00} and asking me how I would like to pay this. I continually asked them to please send me a bill so I could work things out with them. They assured me they would. But then started calling me every single day up to 10 times a day. I had to block them because it was a nuisance, all hours of the day, weekends, holidays, from different numbers. I never got a detailed bill on how I could even begin to make payments or anything. They call me and tell me the same exact thing, and I just stopped answering because nothing is being done. It's becoming harassing and I don't answer the phone to any numbers I don't know now. I'm not even sure of exactly what I owe them because I never got a detailed bill. It seems different every time they called and I talked to someone. The calls seem to be threatening, and I've even ended up in tears and getting upset when I did talk to them. So I stopped answering and I never got a bill in the mail.

I was a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, who rented a car from a partner of XXXX called Fair. I rented the car and paid a weekly sum of {$210.00}, until a unfortunate situation occured. Fair broadcasted an email saying that they were ending business in Virginia due to Insurance Premiums, and that our deposits would be applied towards our last payment. I used my saved payment to pay on other Bill 's, then Fair re-broadcasted another email saying that the prior email was erroneous, and our deposit would be returned to status. I have been living in hotels since the day I began with Fair and XXXX. I'm also responsible for every other expense, and I found myself in a bind, and was behind. Before Fair took the vehicle back they did deduct a payment, and I emailed them saying that I'm having a minor cash issue. Nevertheless they still took the car. Now I'm without a means of income.And the company who repossessed my car wants {$75.00} just for me to get my stuff out. This company is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Virginia XXXX. I find this whole situation to be very unfair. XXXX errored in their email, which didnt really seem to be a well thought out decision, but it was enough to cause me a problem. Now much of my personal belongings are trapped in a car I cant afford to get into. It doesnt seem fair. If I had extra {$75.00} at that time, most likely this wouldn't of happened. Hey folks. I've leased a car using Fair app in XX/XX/2019. Following their return policy, Ive return the car the next day in XXXX. Fair had a system glitch and now one of their departments trying to collect money from me for the car. And the other department said that they hd system outage and my return is acknowledged but their billing and collections department will not be aware of the return until they fix their system problem. So now in the end XXXX I am still getting money collection notices from Fair for an already returned car. This is what I got from Fair support, which is really frustrating and weird : " My name is XXXX, I am with the returns team. I am reaching out to inform you of the reason you are still receiving the notifications for payments on the vehicle you have returned. I want to be totally transparent with you, we have been having technical issues with getting the return information to our payments department in order to update their end. We are aware the vehicle is returned and are avidly working to get this issue resolved. Any balance you getting that is outside of the return date will be recalculated. You will continue to get these notifications until the issue is resolved. We understand that this is not an ideal situation and really appreciate your cooperation with us through this process. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. "

I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with a vehicle that I've been leasing with through the company I XXXX for. I've been making double payments each week for the last three weeks and was able to take {$910.00} off of the total balance of my vehicle, which was behind due to my inability to XXXX and make the funds. Back in XXXX I was planning on driving the last week of XXXX into XXXX, only to find out that I could n't XXXX with my registration expiring. While attempting to update the registration, I was told by the vehicle administrator that my name was not on the vehicle. The leasing company never included my name as power of attorney, and after going almost two weeks with them trying to get someone to fax over a power of attorney, I was missing out on my days to XXXX. Luckily I've been lowering my payments with the doubling up every week. On XX/XX/2019, I made payment of {$220.00}, and the company 's rep informed me that my car was in repo status. I have been doing my best making double payments and told the rep that I would have a minimum of {$600.00} paid by next Friday. But they are threatening to take my vehicle. I have been willing and able to make multiple payments and it shows in the system, however, the company refuses to work with me to allow me to make the multiple payments to bring the total down.

I initiated my return with Fair corporation on XX/XX/2020. They were to pick up the car within 3 days. It took them 8 days ( for which I had to maintain all liability insurance ). During this time since the car was still in possession they drafted a payment from me but assured me theyd backdate the billing and refund me the full amount owed. The car was in excellent condition ( I have video and photo proof ). I have called Fair many times over the past two months and there is always an excuse as to why they are unable to refund me. A ticket has been entered for my issue as of XX/XX/2020 # XXXX. I called back on XX/XX/2020 and filed a complaint as I was told no one had even looked at the ticket. The representative escalated my concern to a complaint and yet, here we are at the end of the month and again they have not contacted me nor have I been refunded. They stated there is an internal issue with their billing system but that is not my problem. They are withholding {$650.00} from me during a pandemic and at XXXX time with zero sense of urgency or care now that Im no longer a client of theirs.

I have a lease with the car company Fair. At two points, I made payments outside the regular automatic billing cycle due to financial hardship caused by Covid 19. Regardless, I have completely settled the debt and have been up to date on payments since XXXX. Unfortunately, their billing system is " being revamped '' and does not reflect all the payments I've made. I am getting harassing collection calls every day, multiple times a day. I have explained and provided proof of all my payments several times, spoken by email and by phone with several agents, and yet they still call saying I am delinquent on payments and threaten to repossess the vehicle. Furthermore, I've had several agents tell me " this happens all day, I'm sorry '' so I know I'm not the only customer experiencing this problem. Their social media is also lit up with comments fr clients that they have been waiting for their overpayment refunds for weeks and weeks with no answers. Fair is ripping people off and this should be thoroughly investigated.

Hello, I am having a problem with Fair Financial. I have leased a car and unfortunately I had an accident on XX/XX/2019. the car has been totaled. After bouncing back and forth with XXXX XXXX, Adjusters and fair representatives I do not have an answer as of today. I am still paying the lease and insurance for a car that has been totaled. In addition, I am not able to lease another car because the car can not be returned until the insurance claim is closed, which it will take months and I will still paying for the lease and other expenses related. I do not think that is legal and also I do not see anything on my leasing agreement that talks about what happens in case of an accident. I have screenshots of chat conversations with fair financial with many different and incorrect info. I was told that the car after an accident will be considered returned once it gets to the collision center ; I was told that the car is considered returned once is declared totaled ; ETC

I purchased a lease to own car from XXXX XXXX leasing on XX/XX/2015. The terms of the deal were that I had to pay {$130.00} every week for 3 consecutive years. I kept up my side of the deal as far as making payments but after the second year I gave the company {$8000.00} in advance to buyout the final year of the lease. The original company whom I obtained the lease from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has since sold the company to a new company called ( Fair ). Fair is now saying that they never received the money from my {$8000.00} payments even though my bank XXXX XXXX is indicating that the money did indeed go through and no reversals were made. I have received emails from the original leasing company with confirmation numbers and receipts to back up my claims. My car has since been wrongfully reposed and the company is now saying I owe $ XXXX.I contacted the company and requested an itemized accounting of my payments and they have refused to provide me with my records.

I set-up an account with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2019. They charged me a start payment of {$1400.00}. I also have a monthly payment of {$470.00}. They were to send me the registration of the car as part of their service. I have called multiple times since the registration expired on XX/XX/2019 and have been able to get no assistance. I am told each time that the registration department has my request, but noone has looked at it, even with a 6 day guaranteed service level. Now my only choice is to return the vehicle, which I am free to do at any time, but I will be forced to lose the start payment of XXXX. I can not drive the vehicle since XX/XX/2019 and still being charged if I do not return. This is ridiculous and unfair to the consumer and no action being taken on their part.

I used an online service to lease a car month by month call Fair at the beginning of XXXX. The car leased was a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was paying around XXXX usd every month for the payment of the car. The company Fair charged in advance the monthly fee, so when I returned the car in XXXX of XXXX I already had paid in advance for the next month. Today is XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX and I still dont have the refund of this fee. Ive complained already through their XXXX page but I didnt received any response. I have now received a report from my XXXX identity theft protection that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has submitted a Major Negative Deragaroty account on my credit score! They have never sent me proof that I had missed any payments. This debt is XXXX years old and was closed out long ago. This is bad behavior and they will be sued asap if this is not removed because I have my BANK STATEMENTS to back it up. However, I will not submit those bank staements to this very disreputable company that is trying to collect XXXX DEBT from many former XXXX XXXX drivers. They need to provide proof of this debt which they have never done -- -- Because there is no debt. This needs to be removed ASAP. Please correct this matter now before things get worse.
