Hello, I tried signing up for services with Empower Instant Cash Advance using my smartphone. After several attempts I received another email from Empower on XX/XX/XXXX informing me that they were unable to connect my bank account and that I would need to fix my account. Well since I was unable to connect my bank account as they put it, I then informed them that I would not be utilizing their service since my bank account could not be connected to their service and I requested the refund of {$8.00} that they deducted from my same bank account on XX/XX/XXXX which they said they were unable to connect. I sent them an email on XX/XX/XXXX requesting a refund of {$16.00} because they deducted another {$8.00} from my bank account on XX/XX/XXXX and they never refunded me the {$8.00} they took from my account on XX/XX/. I did not receive a response from Empower regarding the emails I sent. I sent another follow up email on XX/XX/2023 regarding the {$16.00} that was deducted from my bank account. Then on XX/XX/2023 I sent another email because they had deducted another {$8.00} from my account on XX/XX/2023 which is now a total of {$24.00} they have taken from me. So today when I was talking to a representative at my bank because I was going over some transactions on my account, she informed me that there were 3 more transactions on my account for {$8.00} each from Empower for XX/XX/XXXX ; XX/XX/ ; and XX/XX/. Now the total amount that Empower has deducted from my bank account is now at {$48.00}. These are unauthorized transactions. Empower has not responded to my emails and they have not refunded any of my money that they deducted from my bank account. I've attached a copy of the emails.

On XXXX I attempted to get a loan in the amount of {$350.00}. I used the standard transfer option. On XXXX I received an email staying that due to a technical error my loan will arrive on XXXX instead. I did not receive my loan and opened a ticket on XXXX. XXXX responded that my loan failed due to a technical reason and that I should try again. Per support, I requested a test loan draw of {$48.00} and paid the fee for same day deposit. That loan was received that day. Following that, I requested a loan in the amount of {$340.00} and paid the same day fee. The {$340.00} loan did not arrive that day. I proceeded to contact support for additional assistance. Per support, I XXXX the auto-pay function until the issue was resolved. On XXXX my XXXX XXXX was charged {$360.00}. I promptly contacted support for an immediate reversal. This lead to the account to be severely overdrawn and I am unable to make payments on bills. I attempted to follow up on XXXX. I did not receive a reply until XX/XX/11, in which Empower was still 'researching ' the issue. However, I am now incurring fees with my bank. On XX/XX/11 I filled a dispute with XXXX XXXX to reverse the transaction and have submitted the support tickets. Empower has been incredibly slow resolving an issue that is causing a major problem and incredibly high fees for me.

I recently received a business loan deposit in my Empower Finance checking account on XX/XX/2021. The total amount of the deposit was {$11000.00}. Upon receiving that deposit, I was able to use those funds until I received an email from Empower explaining that my account was locked and the instructions Ill need to follow to get it unlocked. I have completed all identity verifications, proof of business, tax documents, and loan approval documents and they have yet to make any movements on my account. I have called numerous times and everytime Im rushed off the phone, I send several emails daily that dont get answered and Im honestly just very frustrated with this bank. I have read their reviews on the app store, online, and social media platforms and all of their consumers have said the same thing! This company is very unprofessional and suspicious. I would really just like to remove my funds from my account and close it entirely. Please help!!

I closed and deleted my account with empower after paying debt off in full. I asked the company to remove my personal banking information. Which included two separate banks XXXX & XXXX with checking account and a credit card with the information. The company has refused too and bribing me to resubscribe to the services to remove my information. However once you resubscribe to the service youre not able to remove the banking information due to the subscription. Im no longer a customer with them however I have received multiple emails from representatives explaining they are legally able to retain my banking information. I have read the terms of service and policies. I did not find a statement that verify this information for close/ delete accounts. I asked the representative to provide me proof of the legal authority to do this. The only information provided was for existing accounts/ customers.

My payment was due on my paydates which are the XXXX and last day of the month. However today XXXX overdrew my account by attempting to withdraw the payment before the banks were even open for the day and my direct deposit was yet input into my checking. The account was overdrawn at XXXX XXXX when I checked my direct deposit uploaded at XXXX via XXXX XXXX XXXX Empower app tracks balances and deposits so its frustrating that they attempted to withdraw my payment resulting in a {$28.00} NSF fee before the bank opened on my due date their algorithms should be aware of such. I attempted to call the institution to come to a resolution but the phone number they have listed via XXXX does not route you any where when you press a prompt and the only other option is the online virtual assistant who doesn't understand. Empower charges a subscription fee of $ XXXX. I signed up for the app after a trial period of XXXX weeks in XX/XX/2021 and was charged a subscription fee/month since that time. I NEVER used any Empower service and also did not receive any notification of the subscription being charged. I've been charged {$170.00} for no reason what so ever. This is a deceptive business practice. If money is being debited from my accounts then I should be notified about it. I received no monthly, quarterly statements from Empower but they kept deducting my account. I reached out to the company and they refused my full refund request. regards,

I was approved for.first and second draw XXXX loans from the XXXX the second draw came from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they deposited the funds into my fuy verified account prior to i asked if it would be ok and assured by the rep it would be fine and then the day it got deposited they froze my account and have not given any specific reason as to whg they wont call me they asked for a bunch of verification documents i have submitted along with id verification i passed and still i get nothing and i dont have a way to contact the lender as the number is always busy and like most americans my life is turned upside down i nees help

I applied for a loan on XX/XX/XXXX for {$100.00} and received it same day. I attached my XXXX checking to the account and my loan was due on my next payday which was XXXX, I get paid biweekly. I wake up on XX/XX/XXXX and see they have drafted my account {$110.00}. I was NOT paid on XX/XX/XXXX and now Im short money. I called to get a resolution and they would not let me speak with a supervisor. They escalated my concern and thats all. Oddly enough, after getting the advance, they did not send an email with the repayment terms nor can I view the terms in the app.

I got a loan disburstment into my account that i was told was ok to do it was from a ppp loan the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX they put the money in the account and then the bank froze the acvount and i have been going back and forth woth them for almoat 2 months no resolution i cant talk to anyone on the phone they say email only i cant talk to a manager or anyone for that part amd they wont disclose to me why this is happening and i was told to send all the documentation and i did but its been circles for almoat 2 months now

On XX/XX/2020, XXXX bank close my account with informing me and right after I fail a compliant against with the XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). Then I asked the representatives via as to why the bank closed my and she told me could not disclose. On XX/XX/XXXX, I did file a complaint against them because they locked my account because I traveled outside the US and used my card at a local ATM to withdraw cash. For a total of six days my account remained locked without me knowing why the actual reasons why.

I contacted Empower Inc. on XX/XX/2021 due to an unrecognized transaction made on my debit card. They provided a reference number of XXXX. The following day, XX/XX/2021, I received an email from XXXX advising they were exercising their right to close my account per the Consumer Deposit Account Agreement. No investigation of the unauthorized charge or explanation as to why my account was closed.

I requested a cash advance XX/XX/XXXX to my XXXX XXXX account ; they said it was sent, but I never received it. I provided photos to the company of my account that prove it was not deposited to my account. I asked for tracking or something so I can speak with my bank, but they have provided nothing. XXXX will not send out debit cards. Its been 2 weeks and they refuse to get a card to me. Their solution is just sending another card so they can hold my money another two weeks.
