I have been repeatedly contacted by a company called Empire Mediation Services, but only refer to themselves as EMS. Their initial call was to tell me that I had taken out a payday loan in XXXX XXXX that I did not pay back. I asked who the creditor of this loan is and was told XXXX XXXX. When I asked what city and state this company is located in I was told that they do n't know. I asked how this loan was taken out and was told online. After telling the company that I did not take out a loan they told me if I did n't do something today they would sue me. I was told that the creditor had direct deposited {$300.00} into my bank account in XXXX XXXX. I indicated to the company that I never had a loan like this and they have the wrong person. I was then told that they hoped I enjoy getting court papers and being sued. I indicated that I do want to go to court with them so this can be cleared up. I have had numerous calls from this company with the same debt. I have been told that they will be filing charges with the court for defrauding a financial institution and writing a bad check. I asked them to please move forward with this process as I want to go to court with them. I have been given different dates that I supposedly took out this loan, with their staff switching between dates in one phone call.I have been told on one occasion that when the creditor had tried to cash my check they found that my account was closed with my bank. When I said that I have had the same account for over a decade, the reason for the check not clearing was non sufficient funds. I asked what the date was for this and received yet another date. I have not received the verification of the debt and creditor as requested. I have also yet to receive any court documents or notice of a lawsuit being filed against me as I was told would happen. I have looked into this type of scam with the Michigan Attorney General 's office and feel that this company is perpetrating a fraud against me with the intent of getting money from me that I do not owe. I have also pulled copies of all of my bank statements from 2 years prior to the earliest date this company claimed and 2 years after the latest date this company claimed. There are no deposits from any loan company or any direct deposits other than my own paychecks or verified agencies such as the IRS. There are also no incidents of NSF in this time period as claimed.

I have been receiving phone calls at work on my cell phone and somehow they call my parents home phone too. It is an automated machine that leaves messages that they are from the mediation department and that I need to " call them immediately to receive the proper documentations ''. They have threatened to garnish my wages and they supposedly verified my wages with someone at my job. They have refused to provide me with written documentation of whatever it is they are trying to collect on. I 've asked them numerous times to not contact me at any number they have of mine. My parents are furious at the phone calls they receive at home. They call me from different phone numbers as well. They call and hang up once I ask for their company name. They can not provide me with any details but insist that I pay them for something I do not owe! They are very rude and obnoxious. I have mentioned to them numerous times that I have filed for BK and they laugh and tell me I 'm full of XXXX! They refuse to disclose any pertinent information yet they insist on me paying them an amount so that they can send me the documents they have. I do n't know what they are talking about and I need them to stop harassing me at work, on my cell phone and most of all my parents home! They work with mediation department and they will be sending papers over to begin wage garnishments and it would be more than XXXX % of my checks! They mention payday loans from a company I have never dealt with before and that company is another debt collection agency! Yet they tell me its a cash advance. They continuously run my credit report without my consent as I get alerts when my credit report is ran. They also mentioned that a police officer would should up to arrest me if I did n't accept the paperwork being file. " Would you be willing to risk it all and be humiliated at your job? '' I want them out of my life! They mentioned if I have received any certified mail and I responded to them that if I did they would have return receipts. They have a physical address but those I do business with have my mailing address. I never received any documents from these people.

Add this scammer to the pile of bottom-feeding fraudsters I 've filed complaints on over the past two years -- each one a downstream player in the XXXX XXXX XXXX Scam. They are harassing me regarding a debt that never existed, and they are committing myriad FDCPA, UDAAP and TCPA violations in the process.
A robocall was placed to my cell number, which has been listed on the National Do Not Call Registry since XXXX 2013.
The caller ID indicates XXXX number, while the message instructs me to return the call at a different number. There are XXXX of reports listed on consumer complaint websites indicating both numbers are tied to XXXX or Empire Mediation Services.
The message does not give the identity of the caller or the company they represent. It does NOT tell me the caller was attempting to collect a debt.
The message DOES tell me I have only 48 hours to respond to the call. It uses words like " case '' and " retain '' -- words that most consumers associate with legal matters. The message is cleverly worded to give the impression that there is impending legal action against me.

Company called Empire Mediation or Empire Financial ( they reported they are known by different names ) repeatedly called my work phone stating that a debt is owed and that legal action will be required. They did have my name and last XXXX digits of my SSN. Problem is, I have no unpaid debt. They refused to give me an address for their company, stating that they are located in several different states. When I started asking questions, they told me that I sounded like someone that has a ton of debt. They hung up on me multiple times, and when I asked to speak to a manager, it was conveniently a manager that had answered the phone. They also told me that they had sent three certified letters, and that they are not allowed to send out any more per company policy. They told me to Google their company, which I had obviously already done, only to confirm that this is a scam. I know some people may be scared into paying this debt due to the caller threatening legal action, so I want to make sure others are warned of this bogus company.

On Wednesday XXXX XXXX I recieved a phone call from a supposed process server that works for empire mediation services. He told me papers were going to be delivered the next day that I needed to sign. That a summons was being delivered. He left a phone number for me to call to resolve the situation BEFORE the papers were delivered. The number was XXXX. I called the number and they were trying to collect for something that was paid. The company goes under a few different names so I emailed them what I had. They emailed me Nd told me I was scamming them and it was not pAid. The man called me a liar. I told him my attorney would be in touch. I asked him for his address and he would not give it to me. Then he tells me he is n't speaking to me any more because I said I had an attorney. But then the next day he emails me again!!

Today I received a call about pending claim around XXXX. The name of the person is XXXX XXXX and he said he was a compliance office for XXXX XXXX. He reached out all of my family members and work which is unacceptable. I called back and spoke to XXXX XXXX and she said it was for payday loan I took from checkngo. I advised that i had no pending loans. XXXX said that if I called XXXX XXXX XXXX they would show no loans but they have the matter in their hands and they were calling because they are going to serve me documentation for court. I think this inappropriate and need to put a stop to harassments for me and my family. The called from a local number but in the voicemail they left a XXXX phone number. Please put a stop to this. XXXX said the company name is Empire Mediation.

A company named EMS continually calls me regarding a payday loan that I never took out. They are stating that I took the loan out in XXXX of XXXX and it was deposited into a XXXX XXXX account. I have had a XXXX XXXX account since XXXX and I have n't taken a payday loan out since XXXX. I do not recognize the loan company that I supposedly took the loan out with. This company has gone as far as contacting my direct family and my in laws. If I did take a loan out I would not have put my family members phones numbers on the loan as contacts. They refuse to stop calling me unless I submit a form to they mailing address to stop and desist on the phone calls. They are threating me with taking me to court for the full amount owed plus legal fees the have accrued.

this collection office uses highly illegal tactics to collect debt. impersonating attorneys, law enforcement and government officials. they try to collect more than what is owed, they threaten jail and wage garnishments, they call people 's place of employment even after being asked to not call there anymore. They do n't even bother to state the mini Miranda or monitor disclosure on any of their calls. The owners name is XXXX XXXX. the " company 's '' name is Empire Mediation Services, located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX the phone number there constantly changes so consumers can not call back, but the owner 's direct cell phone number is XXXX. This place needs to be shut down.

Called my son-in-law earlier today, and also my daughter later this afternoon and stated that if I did not call by XXXX a warrant would be issued XXXX. He knew the last XXXX digits of my social, and my birthdate, which he shared with those that he called. Stated he was a private investigator. Reverse phone look-up indicates Empire XXXX.
