On XXXX XXXX, 2019 I applied for a loan on line with Minute Loan Center. It was for {$1500.00} at an interest rate of 393.771 %. The branch requested a copy of my debit card before they would approve my loan although I personally feel that should not be a requirement, I submitted my card because I was in a pinch for cash. I took out the loan expecting to pay it off within two weeks but unfortunately for me that could occur as I had hoped. I was struggling to make the 2nd payment but XXXX told me that I needed to cancel the payment within 3 days and I had missed my window to cancel the autodraft so I borrowed money to cover the expense. By the third payment, I still was not able to pay the loan off as I had hoped and on XX/XX/XXXX I sent an email to revoke my future ach payments so that I could have more time to figure out how to pay the loan. I could not afford for my payment to be drafted. I did not receive a confirmation to my email and I sent another email on XX/XX/XXXX asking for email confirming. Nothing was sent to me, so by the end of the day on XX/XX/XXXX I called and spoke to XXXX who confirmed they received my request. She did not say anything else to me before hanging up about my loan or payments. On XX/XX/XXXX my payment still deducted despite my email clearly stating that I did not want to make the payment. I emailed asking for my payment to be refunded and received no response. I called the branch and left a message for XXXX to call me back. When she did, she basically told me they did exactly what I asked of them and removed the ach but they were well within their rights to use my debit card since I did not also state that in my email. She stated they did not want to refund the payment. I told her I couldn't afford the payment which is why I asked for it to be stopped and she demanded that I tell her exactly how I planned to make my payments. I told her I needed more time to figure it out and she said I already had a week from when I sent my email and I should know by now how I plan to pay then back. I called the main customer service number for Minute Loan and asked for a manager. A representative took my info to share with XXXX who was the Regional Manager and forward onto compliance since they took payment despite my request to cancel. I finally got a hold of XXXX the following day on XX/XX/XXXX. He reiterated what XXXX said, that when he got the email on XX/XX/XXXX that he took off the ach but that they were in the right to switch it to the debit card on file. I said my email was clear that I wanted to stop payments and understood my account would likely into a collection status. XXXX proceeded to tell me that my account wouldn't go into collections, that he would skip that and take me right to court for intentionally defaulting on a loan. He said they would not refund the payment and didn't seem care that he was causing an overdraft on my account. XXXX reluctantly said he would remove the debit card as a recurring payment. He demanded that I tell them right then how I planned to make my payments. He asked where the {$1500.00} was that they loaned me, asked what did I do with that money? Both XXXX and XXXX acted unethically in the handling of my payments and I felt bullied by both of them. They did not handle their collection activities professionally and I feel that they violated my rights. They refused to respond in writing to any of my emails and neglected to inform me XX/XX/XXXX when I called that my loan would default to debit card payments. I think this is very unfair loan practices and should not be allowed. I never authorized recurring payments on my debit card. As you can see from my loan documentation, my debit card listed on the form for non-recurring payment. I am very unhappy with the way my loan and its collection was handled by Minute Loan Center. I had to take out another loan from a more reputable banking institution to pay them off so I could stop their bulling/unethical collection activities.

This is a resubmission of a prior complaint. I obtained a loan from minute loan center all via online and over the phone. The loan was in the form of a line of credit that was for {$2500.00}. My first 2 payments were for {$200.00} and were bi-weekly in accordance with my pay schedule. I have not received any emails from minute loan center regarding statements since I obtained this loan. I had checked no earlier than XX/XX/21 to confirm the payment of {$200.00} was to be debited from my account and this is what it said. On XX/XX/21 I was surprised to find that my account had been debited {$630.00}. I did not see this anywhere in my loan agreement nor was it explained to me that my payments would increase this drastically. It is not clear in their loan documents. I have had other loans before where it is explicitly clear what the payment will be. On XX/XX/21, I spoke to XXXX and advised her that I wanted the ACH on this account removed. I am happy to pay the {$200.00} but I will not pay over {$600.00} on a {$2500.00} line of credit. I am asking to be refunded the difference of {$430.00} due to minute loan centers lack of communication on this. On XX/XX/21 I received a notification that the company had responded and that the response was sent directly to me. However, I have received no such response. Additionally, I was in text communication with the manager XXXX, who was quite rude in his correspondence. He also advised that a response was made and I told him that the CFPB said that the response was sent directly to me, however, I have not received it. I never received any follow up from him since then. I received another phone call today but no indication of when this response would be received. I am now forced to look into how this can be reported to the local jurisdiction including the attorney general 's office.

I have several complaints The first is the I was unable to do an additional loan - I was told by the company that I could not refinance my loan even though the funds were available. They said that it was because the company sees the company that I work for as an competitor and they can not lend to their competitors. When asked if I could see their competitors list they would not provide it to me. Previously, I had another issue where I committed to making a payment and a half one week and another payment a half the next week due to funds being tight. The manager agreed to it and once two payments were taken out she promised that she would correct the issue and assured me my money should be back in my account. I called the store several times and got no answer or a call back and got no answer. I reached out online via chat to speak with the regional manager and no one got to me until I called their customer service hotline and finally the regional said that the manager no longer works for the company. But doesnt apologize for the issue. I had another complaint of the manager leaving a message on a reference of mines phone with is against FDCP regulations In my previous loan with them they paid off my account, unauthorized. I was about 3 months behind due to struggles and she processed the payments saying their systems automatically paid the loan off.

I obtained a loan in the amount of {$320.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX, LA. I called on Friday XX/XX/2018 inquiring of repayment options. I appeared before them at approximately XXXX XXXX the following day to submit the partial payment for the " buy-down '' option and I was told that for that option, they would only accept cash although this was not told to me previously and for the loan I had originally received a cheque anyhow. The procedure was misrepresented by-phone. Incidentally, since I was on my lunch break, I left because I had to return to work. I checked my account balance via ATM on Mon-Tues the following week and assumed that XXXX XXXX had obtained their money. I began receiving phone calls. The phone calls persisted for several days. Each time I received a call, they hung up. I deem the " calling-and-hanging-up '' behaviour as harassment. I have not received any other type of communication to-date. While FDCPA does not provide an exact number of phone calls to be considered, it is common sense that calling and hanging up repeatedly, sometimes before anyone can answer the phone is undoubtedly harassment. Under that premise, my consumer rights are being violated under FDCPA, which hold that a creditor may not behave abusively in an effort to collect a debt.

XXXX XXXX XXXX started garnishing my wages at my work without getting a judgement. My work took out {$350.00} on XX/XX/2018 per XXXX XXXX request and sent them the payment, they again took out {$350.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and sent the payment to minute loan center. They only stopped garnishing my checks because I got laid off on XX/XX/2018 and have been unable to find work. I didn't know that XXXX XXXX XXXX could garnish my wages with out getting a court order. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX stating they had not received my payment from the garnishment and that they found out I was not working there, that same day I received an email receipt showing the payment. I didn't contact XXXX XXXX XXXX about being laid off because I thought my work would, that is how I found out it wasn't a garnishment with a judgement. How is this fair, what can I do about it? I did not know it was an option to sign the wage assignment form, I was told I had to sign it but was told that they wouldn't garnish my wages without getting a judgement, wish obviously isn't true.

I took a payday loan out from a company here in XXXX XXXX, Louisiana ... XXXX XXXX XXXX is the company 's name ... I have been paying on this loan for a little over 2 years ..I first took a payday loan out for $ XXXX..After paying for a while, they told me I could extend it to {$500.00} ... I have been paying {$95.00} in fees for about 2 years now on a {$500.00} loan ... Spoke with company today to try and get on a payment plan for about 4 months to repay this and they told me it would cost me {$250.00} for the first month and {$350.00} for the second month ... If I could afford this, I would pay this off, but I can't ... They will not put my payments lower because they said it was a consumer loan ... I then told them they did not tell me it was that type of loan and I didn't know what that was anyway ... They said there was nothing they could do, that they were not working when loan originated ... Please help

I received text messages and voice messages from Minute Loan Center daily requesting me to contact " XXXX '' or XXXX regarding the loan. I replied several times stating Do Not Contact Me and contact Attorney XXXX XXXX. Minute Loan Center continues to text and call daily. On XX/XX/2020, I contacted XXXX and spoke to XXXX. After informing XXXX of the same, XXXX stated XXXX will continue collection activities regardless until they receive a letter from the court.

Money was put in to my account without permission they also was not suppose to put money in with the permission of the owner they claim that its was a loan and it was their money and they remove it because it belongs to them. And they claim that someone in the middle of the night on XX/XX/XXXX tried to obtain another loan on XX/XX/XXXX and it was rejected.They claim someone of this computer frudalancy took out a loan without the permission or consent of the owner Since we both know the account number and bank account number which can be my social security number instead of the bank account number and that 's not so! We have survallence videos of the room at night .If anyone operated the computer at night, we will know! That happens at night in this room. The video camera 's in this room stay on 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 day a year.

I was disputing a loan amount and requested that in the interim, my account with the payday loan company be transfixed until the issue of my consumer rights violation could be resolved and the company never responded to CFPB and Im turn, CHARGED my bank account for {$380.00} on XX/XX/18, this causing me to be late with other bills. I was consequently assessed a {$130.00} lien fee to my storage unit because I couldnt pay them, because XXXX XXXX XXXX TOOK the money and was NOT authorized on XX/XX/2018 to do so. I hereby dissolve and rescind and/or revoke any and all of their claims ( real and perceived or implied ) to any authorization to my bank account or applicable cards in case there should be any further mishap ; this statement by myself is thereby documented via this complaint as such.

Took out a loan with this company. They keep calling and calling on my bill I spoke with them originally when I got injured at my job and then losing it a few weeks later. I told them I had an open workmans comp claim that would make a settlement and I would pay back as I could. Called them back on Monday after they kept calling me leaving me messages day after day and told them I still do not have a job because of my injury or have not gotten a settlement from workmans comp yet where I just had XXXX done and still doing treatment to figure every thing out. I asked them nicely to not call me back for a month because it would be at least that long before I'm even able to start looking for a job again. Then Friday 3 workdays later they are calling me again. What can I do?

I told the company I wasnt able to pay until the XXXX and they accepted my payment arrangement with a debit card setup. I still received calls, after XXXX XXXX on a weekday regarding my loan. I explained to them that I have already promised a payment on the XXXX with someone else that has called. They continued to call my personal cell phone and my work. Both times I explained to them that I do not appreciate being harassed every second of the day and would appreciate if they do NOT call my place of employment OR my personal cell phone from here on out considering I do have a payment set up. They still are calling my phone AS WE SPEAK. They even have called from their personal cell phones to try to reach me even with my promised arrangement on XX/XX/2023.

The Lender : Minute Loan center XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NV XXXX I borrowed {$200.00} from them on XX/XX/19 and was told to pay them back {$150.00} on XX/XX/19 and XX/XX/19. The APR was 428.994 % ( excuse me ). After paying two payments of {$150.00} successfully, I owed a final payment of {$130.00}. EMG Minute loan withdrew {$310.00} from my Account on XX/XX/19. I called them to hear from them that this would be THE LAST payment because they have been paid 3 times over the original loan. They did not answer and hung. Up the office phone several times. Unfair to the Borrowers who are being swindled for their benefit. Thank you

Paid the loan off in XX/XX/XXXX. However because they processed my loan on XX/XX/XXXX and not the XX/XX/2015, they reset my loan and gave me an early payoff amount. As of XXXX XXXX 2015 I was done paying for the loan. XXXX XXXX 2015 they processed a debt payment from my account of {$66.00} that were not suppose to take as the loan has been paid off for over a month. They said to return the money to my account take 48hrs or I could come pick up a check from the office. So now this is going to cause my rent to check to bounce and a late fee to be assisted to my account and leasing office to charge me a fee as well.

This company would not remove my ACH authorization even though I contacted them a week in advance. They first removed my debit card saying " your debit card will not be charged '' but left my bank account information in place. I called back and was told " the manager has to send an email to her manager '' because they can't do it in the local store. I followed up with an email asking for confirmation it was completed and was ignored. I contacted the corporate office and also got the runaround and a couple different answers. I also requested my employer wage deduction be cancelled as well.

I set up payment arrangements with XXXX at EMG. She then reopened my loan instead basically renewing it. Since then I have been unable to pay. At this point they have now called my references and told them that they are COLLECTING on a loan. This was private information. They were only supposed to call the references to tell them that they needed to speak with me. Now everyone knows I can't pay my loan there. They called XXXX XXXX and spoke with her on the phone stating multiple times that they were calling to collect the money I owed. I am not ok with this.

Back in XX/XX/XXXX I paid the account down to XXXX dollars. I wanted to pay the account in full my next payday but the site would not allow me. I would get an error message saying account doesn't exist. Today XX/XX/XXXX i received a text from the company saying I have a payment that is due and remaining balance is XXXX.
