Mortgage lender - XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX I applied for the mortgage on XX/XX/XXXX. The lender filled out my application and sent me the document to sign. But the forms were already filled by the lender. XX/XX/XXXX - i got my loan pre approval from the lender. XX/XX/XXXX - i put my earnest money deposit into escrow account. The closing date was supposed to be XX/XX/XXXX. We did not close, the lender needed more time to verify info. The seller was kind to extend the loan contingency. Not sure why it was not done earlier, all info was provided by me right after request from the lender. XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX sent me an email that my loan is approved. The closing date was expected to be XX/XX/XXXX. On XXXX XXXX the lender informed my agent that we can remove the loan contingency. The closing date was supposed to be XX/XX/XXXX, as XXXX advsed my agent. On XX/XX/XXXX it was still no closing, some delay from the lender again, but as i was informed we are almost there. we did walk through with my agent on XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX i signed the documents with the notary, and i deposited the downpayment at the escrow account. When i was signing the documents i saw my loan amount and loan number XXXX, by XXXX XXXX. Same day the lender informed me that the loan was 'cancelled ''. XXXX assistant texted me to email XXXX that i 'refuse to purchase due to personal reasons ''. I refused to do so, i wanted to purchase the property and i put my downpayment in the escrow account. I questioned the reasons why the loan cancelled. I was informed that it happened because of sellers cancellation, That is not true. He gave another reason to the agent. and there were few more different excuses, none of them was true. The sale did not happen despite my countless efforts to make it go through. I lost half of my earnest money deposit - {$6000.00}, also i had another expenses like {$450.00} home inspection, {$500.00} appraisal, some escrow fees around {$200.00}, number of another small fees, about 50 hours of my time, time off work, stress, and also the prices went up so now it is hard to find the comparable home at this price.
