on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from an unkown debt collector threatening to " sue '' me if I did not pay them. This company never identified themselves, nor sent documentation to the addresses listed on the payday loan. They also do not leave messages stating who they are. I called back fearing suit and gave them some information. After giving them credit card information that I should not have given, I attempted to call to correct the issue, but the number given is not the one I can contact, and I received a call from a lady who said they would " locate '' me and tell others about my debt. I filed a complaint here on XX/XX/XXXX with ACE, the originator of the loan, and was able through that complaint to identify the company they sold the debt too. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX. This company has never sent any documentation proving the validity of the debt in question so that I may dispute it, nor identified themselves as debt collectors as required by law. The message I have attached shows how they contact debts they acquire. I have looked on their site and it states that the " debt '' was sold to another creditor.

On XX/XX/2020 They call my desk phone at work, my cell phone and then they called my HR manager at work acting as if they are acting on behalf of XXXX county courts representing themselves as a proceedings office reading off allegations using threat tactics if i dont satifsy the account. Leading my employer to believe that i would be served with arrest papers at work.Never once did they state their name and that it was an attempt to collect a debt. I had to find out through the original debtor who they sold the debt to in order to obtain the name of the company.

See complaint # XXXX I'm now being told that the company that called me is ELITE DEBT BROKERS who contacted other people saying I was going to be sure, and my employer was going to get contacted. I asked for a Validation of the debt ( a lot of fraud out there ) and she got even more. Persons name was XXXX XXXX. Telephone number is XXXX and another number is XXXX
