On XX/XX/2020, I received a notice from a debt collector ( Economic Recovery Consultants ) that I was being charged in the amount of {$1600.00}. I reached out to them and asked where this debt originated from and that informed me that it was a medical bill from several years prior, and they received it and was pursuing its collection. The debt originated from XXXX XXXX XXXX, so I reached out to them, and they had no valid documentation of the debt, nor could they provide me with any proof that it existed, basically it was not in their system. I then reached out to the debt collector, and they stated it was valid, and that payments could be made, and that it has been placed on my credit reports as delinquent. Now, according to Arkansas law, there is a statue of limitations on all medical debt of 2 years, and if this is correct, then this debt should be removed from my credit report, as this has caused significant damage to my credit report already.
