On XX/XX/2020, XXXX Langenberg of the Langenberg Law Office ( XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX VA XXXX ) sent me a payoff statement as well as a transaction report of assessments, late fees, and payments made for individuals who are not me. I alerted Langenberg and asked why this was being sent to me and if any of my personal information had been released to any uninterested third parties.
Their only response was to send me the statement and transaction report under my name with my information. They did not address if my personal information had been released to anyone else.
On XX/XX/2020, XXXX Langenberg of the Langenberg Law Office ( see above for address ) sent an email telling me a payment arrangement with my HOA had been declined because I had not made any good faith payments ( a complete falsehood given the Langenberg firm had received a payment and such payment had been cashed weeks earlier ). And again they sent me the personal information of an unintersted and unrelated third party.
I believe their actions are a violation of Section 805 of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
They have still not responded to my request as to whether my personal information has been released through their negligence to a third party, so I can only assume it has.
I am asking for damages in the amount of {$500.00} per occurrence for a total of {$1000.00} given their negligence, sloppiness, the fact they won't answer my simple questions, and that consumer privacy has been violated.
