XXXX XXXX from Douglas, Knights & Associates sent me a letter on XX/XX/XXXX informing me of a claim for XXXX that they were trying to collect for XXXX involving an accident on XX/XX/XXXX that I wasn't involved in, on a vehicle not insured by me or registered to me. In addition, On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX sent an email to my ex-husband and attached a suspension notice that she filed with the DMV to have my license suspended. He forwarded me the email but not the notice. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX to get a better understanding of the claim and she proceeded to yell at me saying she hated people like me who shirked their responsibility and didn't pay their debts. She said they were a law office and that they would have my driver 's license suspended if I didn't pay. I said I only wanted to get information and she said if I wanted information I should hire a lawyer. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she hung up on me. She continued to forward our correspondence to my ex-husband who also cooperated by threatening me to get me to pay this claim. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent XXXX a letter telling her to stop contacting me until she had proof that I was responsible for the debt. On XX/XX/XXXX, My ex-husband informed me I would be receiving an email from XXXX telling me my license would be suspended and he attached an email from XXXX with a letter from her to the DMV requesting that my license be suspended. I received the same email from XXXX and asked her why she was forwarding our correspondence to my ex-husband. She said I should have my attorney contact her. I told her I wasn't retaining an attorney and wanted to know why she was sharing our communication with my ex-husband, no reply. The letter sent to DMV misrepresented the claim and said that I was driving an uninsured vehicle. Again, I was not driving the vehicle and wasn't anywhere near the accident at the time it occurred. I asked them to please correct that statement with the DMV and they didn't respond.

i was briefly employed by a XXXX company that is based out of XXXX and specializes in the third party consumer collection of subrogation debts across the country. Not only did it become obvious they were not properly licensed in the states they do business but their collection tactics were some of the most abusive and misleading I have EVER witnessed. I have been in the collection business for over twenty years. Disclosure of debts to third parties including texts and written emails, threats of drivers license suspension even when they know the debt does not qualify for that kind of action and open threats of lawsuit and wage garnishment. Just ask to see the collection records as it is all there, the texts, threats, emails, intimidation everything. there is no mini miranda or FDCP used even though they are a third party collecting debts against private individuals. When i complained they changed and reduced my hourly wage. I believe they feel that because some of the debtors were driving without insurance that nobody will care if they are misleading and abusive. Companies like this are the reason that many decent agencies are suffering from lawsuits.

Today on XX/XX/XXXX I was contacted by attorney by the name of XXXX XXXX called and stated that this debt was owed by my father gave his birthday name address my mother 's email and told him that he owes a debt of {$13000.00} and that he has to pay it my father being in bad health gave the phone to my mother she then found out that this was a debt from a wreck in XXXX it has nothing to do with my father nor my mother nor my father 's phone number or email which he has contacted and stated that he owes the money he is in direct violation of the above mentioned laws I have been paying on this debt and have been in direct contact with the collector for them to use such tactics is intolerable and unacceptable I would like to have the complaint on file and also be known for any further collection he or the firm has to be null and void i will not allow my father who is in bad health to be harassed and it not go unpunished with that i hope that the tactics above mentioned covers the debt it's time these type of actions be held accountable ty again for the help in this regard

Someone with Douglas Night and Associates called me from XXXX advising they were calling me about an accident I had back in XXXX in 2017. He said the other party filed a bodily injury claim for XXXX dollars and I have to pay that amount. I asked if the other party is suing me and the representative advised me that the other party could sue me if I didn't pay this amount. After working in the insurance business for over 3 years, that amount would be paid out under their personal injury protection coverage on their own policy. This rep advised me that if I did not pay this amount, he would revoke my driving privileges and take my vehicle registration away from me. After reviewing the reviews on this number, he seems to be a scam artist coming after accident victims. I am very upset that he called me and harassing me so I would pay that amount to him. I also know that working in the insurance world, I wouldn't get a phone call from someone if I were to get sued, I would have been served papers, which in this case, I was not.

I was driving to XXXX from XXXX XXXX on XXXX. About XXXX miles away from XXXX on the hwy, I was hit with a gust of wind that blew off my latched pop-top slide-in truck camper. The roof which was harnessed down factory standard with latches was blown off with the gust - act of God- and the car behind me ran into the fallen roof. There is video evidence. We exchanged insurance information - well almost a year later, i'm receiving calls from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on multiple days [ XX/XX/22, XX/XX/22, XX/XX/22, XX/XX/22 ]. XXXX and XXXX both threatened to sue me through civil action as a subrogation office, threatening to take my driver 's license away. I immediately told them to go take a hike, contact my insurance provider and stop calling me. They've continued to call and threaten me. I've contacted my insurance provider all state whom is trying to act on behalf of me but they keep stating XXXX XXXX shouldnt be calling me directly.

I was divorced buying car from ex wife. Making payments and insurance payments. I got in accident and called ex wife for insurance information. She informed me she dropped the insurance I was paying for without telling me. Got license suspended for that. Had pay few thousand. Then these XXXX Douglas knight pops up with ridiculous payment option threatening license suspension if I dont pay whole XXXX or give my check stubs so they can decide what I can pay. I said Ill send what I can. I was sending XXXX Fell on harder times. XXXX XXXX XXXX no job. XXXX XXXX XXXX missed XXXX payments. Got out made XXXX payment that day after XXXX calls in ten minutes after I told him not to call me. Now they wont accept the XXXX dollars I have to my name. Refusing the payment I can make, and threatening my license. I need my license to work once I get my tools back. Im trying and these people are like fentanyl ferrets.

I was contacted by Douglas, Knight & Associates, Inc. about some money that I need to pay or set up a payment plan and if I do n't my TN driving license will be took from me. So I called but the lady who called me was busy when I returned the call back. No one returned my call so I called back the following morning. And i talked to the lady and told her I could set up a 10 $ payment plan and she told me it was n't enough. She got unprofessional and hung up the phone, so I called back to talk to the supervisor and Mrs.Lesey, the supervisor, also had an unprofessional attitude and continues to tell me that was not enough and what I need to pay. I proceeded to tell them that I 'm unemployed and on gov assistance and that was all i could afford that moment.

We was in an XXXX accident in XXXX of 2016 in XXXX, Ohio. The man who XXXX cited for the accident and we went to court. We assumed this situation was done for and everyone was pretty much chalking up the damages to our car. We get notified from the XXXX when we tried to get tags on a new car and we were notified that the license was suspended due to the accident and that we owed the man almost XXXX dollars. We NEVER got any notification of this from last year to now. If we never went to the XXXX we would have never known. Every time I attempt to call these people to get more information they give me the run around or they just hang up on me.

I have recieved calls saying I owe this debt which has suspended my drivers license but have never received anything Stating this information Whatsoever. This company wo n't even allow me to make payments to them unless I put a XXXX down deposit. I just do n't see how they can get away with holding my life hostage.
