Delev law is currently working an account on behalf of university XXXX. they claim that i owe for a class that i did not sign for and did not attend. they took me to court in XXXX Ohio where i do not live and have never reside. iI did not dispute that i attended school at the university XXXX, through teleconferencing, but i did not take this class, as i Un-enrolled before the time in question. they do not have a signature by me. the judge would not hear me out said that I owed, by the time it went through the court it was inflated from a XXXX dollar debt to over XXXX. The state of Ohio has taken my state tax return for the last 3 years for this, I have paid over XXXX dollars towards this and they continue to state that I owe XXXX now. To make matter worse, they have assigned my account to a XXXX XXXX. The collector will not take my call or my husbands call, when we are available. He is always out of the office. We ask for another agent or his superior, and they state that we have to talk to him that he has final say on the account and they can not help us. WE just want to be done with this, we have made an offer of XXXX to settle, the office of Delev refused, stating that would not be accepted, even though they did not send that to the client for approval. They refuse to work with us only demanding that the balance be paid immediately and nothing else. I asked if I could talk to XXXX University direct, they said no, I asked if I could talk to someone at the Attorney general office they said no. They did n't read me a mini miranda, they did not give me full and complete information about the debt. I feel that they have broken the law in the state of Ohio by not giving me proper information or ability to take care of this. I do not want to deal with this office and request that it be sent either to the original creditor or The actual attorney general office directly.

DELEV & ASSOCIATES , LLC violated my federally protected consumer rights.
PER 15 U.S. Code 1692e states that the false representation or implication that the debt collector is vouched for, bonded by, or affiliated with the United States or any State, including the use of any badge, uniform, or facsimile thereof.
I have been receiving letters and phone calls from DELEV & ASSOCIATES , LLC in reference to a " DEBT '' from the University XXXX XXXX. Every time this company contacts me, I am distressed believing that I am going to have to go to court or even my wages garnished. This company has TAKEN my STATE OF OHIO tax refund for MUTLIPLE years to apply to this said " debt ''.
The representation or implication that nonpayment of any debt will result in the arrest or imprisonment of any person or the seizure, garnishment, attachment, or sale of any property or wages of any person unless such action is lawful and the debt collector or creditor intends to take such action.
The use of any false representation or deceptive means to collect or attempt to collect any debt or to obtain information concerning a consumer.
The use of any business, company, or organization name other than the true name of the debt collectors business, company, or organization.
The false representation or implication that a debt collector operates or is employed by a consumer reporting agency as defined by section 1681a ( f ) of this title.
Any person who violates this section shall be liable to the same extent and in the same manner as a debt collector is liable under section 1692k of this title for failure to comply with a provision of this subchapter.
Following this initial attempt to rectify, I will be sending an invoice to collect actual damages for said violations.
