On XX/XX/XXXX a young man by the name of XXXX XXXX contacted my husband about legal papers that would be served to me on Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX. I was confuse, so I contacted XXXX and he stated that he had authorization to serve me papers. So when I asked him papers for what he told asked me was this the first time hearing about this. I told him yes and I wanted to get more information about the debt. So he stated to me by law they should have notified me about the date before legal papers are served. XXXX XXXX connected me with a XXXX and when XXXX answered her line she indicated that she was with XXXX XXXX and she was collecting a debt for XXXX XXXX, she stated that XXXX XXXX has sold the account to her for collections. She told me the debt was for XXXX and they did not collect it from my bank so she is trying to collect it. I told her I did n't get notification from XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX and I need to get notification that the debt was not paid. I explain to her that XXXX XXXX did n't call me or did n't send me any correspondence about a debt, so how is it that XXXX XXXX want to serve me papers on something I am not aware of. XXXX for XXXX XXXX stated that by law XXXX XXXX does not have to notify me and the account has already been sold to them. She demanded XXXX by XX/XX/XXXX and indicated that she could take another XXXX on a later date and that would settle the debt. I told her ok, but before I give my credit card number over the phone I need paper work explaining the debt and where I could send the paper work too. XXXX indicated the only way I could get that information is to lock in a payment with her today and I refuse to give her my personal information over the phone. I called XXXX XXXX head quarters and they explain to me that the debt was sold and no they did not notify me because they just sold the account on last month. They indicated that they sold the account to XXXX XXXX XXXX and the number was XXXX but they never heard of a XXXX XXXX XXXX First they called my husband about the debt and secondly they gave me false information about the debt. and I never received collection notifications about this debt.

I have been getting phone calls from an agency. The calls always come in from " unknown '' " anonymous '' or " blocked '' telephone numbers. The first call I got was from someone stating he was am " enforcement officer ''. He told me he had been " looking for me ''. He said since I had made his job difficult he was going to make my life difficult. He then provided me with a telephone number to call as well as a case number stating there was a legal case being filed against me. The phone number is : XXXX. Not 2 minutes after I hung up with him I got a voicemail message on my phone from a female leaving the same number so I called it back. They say they are " XXXX '' I called the number and spoke to a lady who told me fraud charges were being filed against me for a payday loan I defaulted on from 3 years ago. She said her agency had purchased the debt and I owed them {$2000.00} to stop them from taking me to court. I told her I did n't have the money. She then listed names of friends and relatives stating she was going to contact them as well as my employer and tell them just what kind of person I was. I asked why they called from unavailable numbers and were threatening me. She said they do n't make the calls that they hire outside agencies to handle that and they only take incoming calls and that they can do anything they want they have a 99 % success rate and hung up on me. Several hours later I received a call from my sister who resides on the other side of the country in XXXX. Her mother in law got a call from someone looking for ME. I have never even met my sister 's mother-in-law. She is elderly. Whatever they said really upset her and it was embarassing to me. I 'm not sure what to do. It just does n't seem right. On a side note, my address and phone number have not changed since I took out the loan years ago. I have lived at the same address for 7 years. They obviously know how to reach me, they are choosing to harass me to try to intimidate me or something. It 's kind of scary.

on XXXX / XXXX / 2017 I received a message saying that i was to be served and that the company had made multiple attempts to server me and this was my last opportunity and that if I were not home it would be viewed as refusal to accept.I have never been notified of this debt b eing turned over to collections before. I Was home all day the next day and no one showed up. Called my county c lerk and no case was found using the case number the company had provided. Within this first message was a phone number to call if I wanted to settle out of court. On XXXX / XXXX / 2017 I called number that was in message and spoke with an XXXX XXXX . XXXX XXXX called me on XXXX / XXXX / 2017 at XXXX XXXX , XXXX / XXXX / 2017 XXXX XXXX , XXXX / XXXX / 2017 at XXXX XXXX , XXXX / XXXX / 2017 at XXXX XXXX . I then called XXXX XXXX back and told him that I did not have the funds together now. Dept Management Partners ( XXXX XXXX ), called my home several times after I told them not to. After they communicated with me they still called my references upsetting them. I have talked to several of their agents and one in particular told me I did not have any family and friends when I told him not to call them. They also insulted me and harassed me. They told my mother that they were going to send a sheriff over to my home in 20 minutes if I did not make a payment. My mother contacted the local police who told her if anyone came to the house they were be arrested.I have told this company to stop called and they kept on calling me. Me and my family do not deserve to be harassed or talked to like this company did. Once again I offered to make payment arrangements once I started my job in a week and they said they needed a payment right away. I still blame XXXX XXXX.

The company calling me is also calling my sister every hour claiming to call themselves XXXX XXXX- number is XXXX or XXXX, they sometimes call from an unknown number so you can not block the number. They scream into your VM and threaten you, claim they are going to come and take my car, put a tag on my drivers license, put an arrest warrant out for me, etc. If this was an actual bill collector, they would have had something sent to my house, and/or legal papers delivered! The man also told me if I continue to hang up on him, he will continue to harass my family members, as of which he is doing, every hour of the day, starting at XXXX XXXX. When you call them back, they are rude, will not give you names and get loud and violent over the phone with you. If you call and no one answers, their VM will state that it is full, so you can not leave a message.
