I was contacted by a representative from XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/23 about a personal loan debt that was placed with their company for collection. When I spoke with the representative, he said he was with XXXX XXXX XXXX, and he told me that a complaint was being filed against me for check fraud, and said that I was going to be served with a lawsuit by the original creditor if I didnt set up a payment with him. I asked him to send me proof of the debt, as I had never received any communication from the collection agency prior to this phone call. He emailed me a copy, and claims to be sending one in the mail. Upon reading the email, I see errors in my town name, so I contacted the original creditor. They directed me to Debt Direct Management, who purchased the debt from the original creditor, and were using XXXX XXXX XXXX to try to collect the debt. When I informed the representative of my concerns, she informed me that their company does not work with the court system at all, and that what I was telling her was not true and very concerning. She closed my account with XXXX XXXX XXXX and is reassigning me to a different agency. She is also going to report this and do a full investigation into the companys practices of debt collection.

I originally called the number XXXX - Acct # XXXX, spoke to an inidividual briefly and then was placed on hold for the next XXXX minutes in which I hung up. I called back, XXXX said it was a chain of which I needed to go through, I did swear, but after XXXX minutes holding and wanting answers, I was supposed to hold again. I have not heard from these people other than this phone call and message left, there has been no written correspondence, only that they were serving me at my work or home tomorrow for a judgement. First notificatoin.
