I purchased a vehicle from buy here pay here place. It was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX never missed a payment for the whole year. One morning got breakdown when I was heading to work. I notified the dealership that I will tow the vehicle to my mechanic but they told me because its their property, they will tow it & repair the vehicle.
After few weeks, I received a letter that the vehicle gon na be sold & they will tell me where & when the vehicle will be sold. At this time, I had a balance to be paid {$4000.00}. I had paid more than {$6000.00} within 1 yr.
I waited for their call or letter that will notify me about the sale but I received nothing. After I got tired waiting, I visited the dealership. Unfortunately, I found my car with stickers around it saying SOLD. And downtown payment was {$320.00} according to the hanging window shield sticker.
At this time, the dealership was closed & I did not manage to go inside to question them.
I went back home to wait for any detailed letter or communication from the dealership about the sale results or any form of a bill that state the difference from amount I owed minus how much the vehicle was sold so that I can pay the difference or they can pay me my difference but I received none.
As Im writing to you, I still dont know where & when the vehicle was sold & how much the vehicle sold. They never disclosed any selling information to me in any shape or form. Im still blind about this transaction till today. Now its almost 2 years that they have been bidding information.
What really pains me is that, they went ahead & report me to XXXX that I owe them {$4800.00} which I guess its from original balance plus repairing fees.
But my other argument is that if I still owe them this whole amount then it simply means the vehicle was donated not sold, thats only way that this type of amount can make sense.
If I owe money from this dealership, I do believe 1. They could send me to correction to demand this balance to be paid but they never send me there because they cant back it up at all & knowing that they didnt follow the law.
2. They could sue me to claim {$4800.00} balance that they claim that I owe them but they didnt do it because they know I dont owe them anything.
3. They could bill me direct to ask me pay the bill but they never bill me even a single day about this payment which means I dont owe them I have tried to contact the XXXX to dispute this amount but the dealership keep telling them I still owe that money but without any details.
Since this dealership never followed the laws that guide such transactions then 1. I demand them to delete this account from XXXX because they breached the process of repossession by law.
2. Their false reporting to XXXX, caused unbearable damage to my credit and more therefore I will seek damages too.
Once again, it has been more than a year now & they never disclosed how much my vehicle was sold for & where did they sell the vehicle.
I do believe they broke a lot of laws & I want them unconditionally delete this account from my credit report.
I have tried to contact the dealership through different means but theyre not cooperating at all thats why Im reaching to you to intervene on this issue.

The account balance with the company deal depot is significantly higher than what is reported on my credit. I have spoken twice to account representative in reference to this without much success. I feel due to this ongoing issue the lesser amount reported on the credit should be honored
