On XX/XX/XXXX i received a letter from DCI Credit, headquartered in XXXX ND. The letter was a notification of garnishment of wages. this initiated an email chain between myself and a XXXX XXXX, an employee of DCI Credit. I have attached the email chain in its entirety between myself and XXXX XXXX. While they have provided very little information, even the attachment that XXXX XXXX said that she sent me which was said contain an itemized list of my 'accounts '. Although the email said there was an attachment - there was no file that i oould open. The email chain details all that I was able to learn from XXXX XXXX, based on what I learned from her this is what i was able to uncover on my own. InXX/XX/XXXX a default judgement was given to me saying that I owed DCI Credit more than {$1000.00}. From XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX I did not have a permanent residence though I did stay in the XXXX area with various friends and family, and i was no longer living the place I had through XX/XX/XXXXXXXX. This was due to the fact that in XX/XX/XXXX I fell victim to the downsizing the company for which I was working was going through. In XX/XX/XXXXXXXX I initially got hired by XXXX who had taken over a local hospital. Before I could sign any documents to proceed with employment, a family emergency had forced to me move back to XXXX as my parents were recently given temporary custody of the daughter of a girl with which I was previously involved. My parents are elderly and I did this to alleviate some of the work a pre-teen girl would be for them. I did this as I did not want to see her end up in XXXX XXXX. While I was inbetween places to stay I had my mail held at the post office where I would pick it up. So there was no place of employment, nor physical address where the papers notifying me of court could be given to me, and I was given a default judgement that said I was liable for the more than {$1000.00} DCI Credit said that I owed. Then in XX/XX/XXXX, a second case was heard where DCI claimed I owed them in excess of {$3000.00}. I was now living in XXXX with the court date set to occur in XXXX XXXX, and I was located in XXXX XXXX. So again it was impossible for me to be given papers saying that I had a court date to where I could respond to this claim. According to the North Dakota courts website, something interesting happened in XX/XX/XXXX. The first case against me was closed citing payment of the more than {$1000.00}. I asked XXXX XXXX for proof of this as I was stil unemployed at the time, so the payment could not have been made by myself. XXXX XXXX informed me, as mentioned in the email chain, that the debt was satisfied by garnishing the wages of my employer XXXX, a company that let me go 11 prior, and 4 months prior to the default judgement being given. So, it is obvious that the debt was not paid by garnishing my wages, I have asked XXXX XXXX if there is anything else she would like to add, or clarify, she replied no, the judgements are valid and I need to contact her as soon as possible to settle the debt and stop interest from accruing on it. It is now over {$6000.00} DCI claims that I owe them, and nothing was done with either case after the first one was updated to a status of closed. I did ask XXXX XXXX why 2 cases so close together, and if one was supposedly satisfied by wage garnishments why didn't they submit the second one right away instead of waiting 9 years to notifiy me of wage garnishments that they say have been submitted to a company i have not been employed with since XXXX. This is only speculation, but I am confident that corraborating evidence can be discvovered by a search of all court cases DCI credit has where multiple cases have been filed against a single individual, I can't believe that I was their guinnea pig in this endeavor. I am relatively easy to contact, a simple XXXX search of my name would show a XXXX profile in which my contact information could be retrieved, at the time I also had a XXXX account where i disclosed my relocation to XXXX. This would have been very easy for DCI Credit to uncover, as my XXXX and XXXX pages were publicly visible to anybody. When DCI Credit became aware that I was no longer in the area, I am unsure as to the validity of the more than {$1000.00} debt, but I am confident the more than {$3000.00} in debt was fabricated by DCI Credit knowing they would easily get another default judgement and I would be completely unaware more than 100 miles away. In XX/XX/XXXXXXXX the default judgement was handed down to me in absentia. In XX/XX/XXXX DCI Credit closed the first case as a way of providing proof that they were in contact with me and because of my inaction acknowledge that was indeed responsible for the {$3000.00} debt. The second case lie inactive, with no updates made to it for almost 10 years, and with just over 1 year to go before it would have faded into obscurity, I receive a letter at my place of residence in XXXX notifying me of the intent to garnish my wages from my employer, and now because of the passage of time the debt has increased to over {$6000.00}. I wonder how many lives are left in ruin by DCI Credit, strong arming those that are too poor to properly defend themselves and unaware of the assistance that is available.

A few months ago, I was sent a letter from DCI Credit Services stating that they were going to be taking me to court due to an unpaid debt. Immediately upon receiving the letter I called DCI. I informed them that this was the very first time I was hearing anything about this debt. I told them I was not against paying the debt but requested verification of the debt. They said they were unable to send an itemized list of the debt because it was illegal. I then responded that I wanted whatever verification they usually send me ( Ive worked with them in the past for other medical debt and have always worked with them to get it paid off ). I was under the impression that they would be sending it to me, so I was waiting to receive it before paying anything on the debt. On Saturday XX/XX/2023, a police officer came to my door and gave me a summons. The summons stated I had 21 days to respond to the court. That following Monday ( XX/XX/XXXX ), I called DCI again to tell them I had yet to received anything to verify the debt, and reinformed them that I had not received anything prior on this debt prior to the letter stating they would take me to court. She stated she would email me a link to log in to view the debt, once I received this, I confirmed the debt was mine and called her back to discuss payment options. I offered to pay them XXXX dollars a month ( as I had been able to do previously with other debts ), But they said they needed more than that. They wanted more than I could afford, as Im not currently working as Im a XXXX XXXX Her response was I should go out and get a job then. I then made a {$300.00} payment with her. She stated I did not need to respond to the court, since I responded to DCI. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a {$400.00} payment. On XX/XX/XXXX I called DCI to ask them since I had paid more than half off if we could stop court proceedings. I believe she said something about not being able to do that as it hadnt been paid off yet. I told her I would be making another payment the following day and the rest on XX/XX/XXXX. She said she would note that in my file and they would not continue with proceedings once paid in full. On XX/XX/XXXX I paid {$400.00}. Then I paid off the remaining balance on XX/XX/XXXX with a payment of {$230.00} Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I received another notice of right to apply for default judgement, even though it was paid in full at that point. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called the court where this was supposedly filed with, and they didnt have any record of these letters I had been getting. There was also not a case number on these legal documents that had been sent to me previously. After this, still on XX/XX/XXXX, I called DCI to inquire why I was getting this letter since my bill had been previously paid in full. Their response was that the letter had been printed a couple hours prior to me making my final payment. However, that cant be true as my final payment was made on XX/XX/XXXX, and the notice to apply for default judgement letter is dated on XX/XX/XXXX, several days AFTER my last payment. Anyway, they stated that nothing would happen as they would not be filing anything against me. However, I was under the impression that they had already filed against me which is why the police showed up to my door with the summons and having received the legal documents prior. I now believe they faked these legal documents to use as a scare tactic. I also found it odd that every time I called the number for the attorney they had listed on the legal document, it would go straight to XXXX at DCI.

Coming from a XXXX situation, these people offered to help me and my husband. We were told we didnt have to pay rent until XXXX started working for them and could generate income. We signed a lease in XXXX, XXXX with a dollar amount of {$750.00} when we had absolutely no income, and was told we could live rent free until we had income. This was a lie as there was a dollar amount on our paperwork. We owed money to them as soon as we were supposedly being helped until we got on our feet. I was in their debt immediately with their handout of help as they said. I also requested that a felon with a background of violent crimes does not be allowed to be on the lease as a lease holder. Knowing this person wasnt responsible ( XXXX XXXX ) and having had issues prior with him and my bills, they refused and made XXXX people be on the lease. ( Just like I knew it would, XXXX caused me problems with my credit and rental history, purposely. He is also my abuser. ) I was continually harassed by the owners. They made a false report to XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX, made false reports to local police during XXXX & XXXX. ( I was being harassed. The owners were being lied to by my husband, the abuser, and they were acting out against me because of what was falsely being stated about me. I was XXXX and did not have heat in the second unit during the entire winter months. I contacted the local HUD office to make a complaint about the heat, soon after the heat was fixed. She gave us XXXX space heater to use for a XXXX bedroom apartment. The repairs were not compeleted until the following year of XXXX. Due to all of the harassment and the problems I was experiencing living here, I filed a protection order and decided to remove myself from the property and the situation as I was not safe at all. I was discriminated against as a woman, and now Im being retaliated against against my credit history with XXXX bills that have charges against me that I should not owe. These people wont leave me alone, and will not stop try to find out information about me to use against me in a harassing manner. The creditor has taken a wage garnishment from me during transition of employment. Im having trouble paying rent due to being XXXX and I can not catch up since XXXX restrictions happened. If anything this company can charge me for the month I was leaving and the next month per North Dakota Laws with protection orders. Im being retaliated against for excesising my rights to removed from this lease. My personal information is getting found out from these people and then they are using it to harass me. Im about to get a restraining order against the persons running this company because they will NOT leave me alone.

On X/X/2017, A new collection account appeared on my XXXX credit report. Reported by agency Diversified Consultants Inc. ( DCI ) in the amount of {$88.00}. Original Creditor was XXXX. I did have an account with XXXX, but was paid in full when i closed the account and switched providers. I never received any bill, call, email or any notification that I still owed XXXX anything. On X/X/2017, I contacted DCI by telephone and was informed that I owed for an unpaid amount. I asked why I was never notified of this debt by either agency, and was informed they didnt know, and that I should have definitely been billed or contacted. I was also informed that XXXX had given DCI the contact phone number I had originally provided when I signed up for their services, which has not changed, so I know that had they wanted to, they could have easily contacted me. Had I known they wanted more money, Id likely have paid them immediately as I have been working on my credit. No attempts in any format were made by XXXX or DCI to contact me and inform me of any outstanding balance. My phone number has not changed, and I am rather easy to contact. Fair notice was not given to me by either company before this mark was added to my credit report.

I am writing for your help in addressing the problems I am having with DCI Credit Services , IncXXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ND XXXX XXXX ) On three separate occasions they have taken money paid on a debt and misapplied the payment to incorrect accounts. For all my payments I have instructed in person ( via phone ) their office how to apply each payment. I was given confirmation numbers and assurances that the money was being applied correctly only to find out the next month that the payments were made to the wrong accounts. They continually blame their posting department and failed to make the necessary corrections. I have no record from them of what my total debt was and how much i have paid or where my payments were applied. I am asking your department to conduct an investigation into this company and protect me from further fraudulent misplaced payments. At this time I have no idea what I owe and what has been paid or where it has been paid to. I have not received any satisfactory explanation from the company. I have no clear records of what has been paid and to where my payments have been applied. Thank you, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

I was contacted by DCI credit services at XXXX on XX/XX/2022. They were inquiring about an emergency room bill from a hospital. I informed them that all my hospital bills are on a payment plan with the creditor, and I would like the account number they are referencing so I could confirm the allegation. They refused to provide this information. I asked for a physical copy of the notice of the debt collection. They stated that they sent it in XXXX and will not send another one. I explained there is an issue with my local post office due to two people of the same name living in the same locale, and it may have gotten delivered to the wrong person. She said that they will not send another notice, and I am to immediately pay the debt. After multiple attempts to explain I never received the original notice, they stated that they refuse to send another one. At this point I fully believe the debt is illegitimate. I tell them that until I receive a physical copy via certified mail, I will not be paying this debt. They state they are not required to mail any notices of debt, and I need to pay the bill immediately.

XX/XX/2012 I called about the validity of the debt after being served with summons. I had insurance at the time thought it was a billing issue. Requested information from the DCI regarding the bill. Dates and type of service. I never received any. I've not heard from them since XX/XX/2012, I thought this was a billing issue and it was resolved. I received a garnishment in the mail last week and called dci to figure out what was going on. She insisted that they had been working the case but stated the last time they tried to contact me was XX/XX/2012. I called the hospital but the record is so old they cant access it anymore. I called back to dci after calling the insurance company to verify the billing which was never provided in XX/XX/2012 as requested. She would not take 2 payments of {$350.00} to satisfy the judgement, even offered to give her my card number to run on two paydays. I called the attorney listed on the paperwork to resolve the issue but they transferred me back to dci. This seems like a complete violation, even their log states that I requested documentation of the unpaid bill.

I just got a letter stating they are going to file a Default judgement against me but did Not responded to my Verification letter. Also they added another collection to my credit report in the time they have not verified so a total of 2 account on my credit report from them but No Verification letter. I feel like this cant be right in their part.

My job got a wage garnishment summons in early XXXX. I did not see the original complaint against me, nor was any court documents sent to me to defend myself. But be as it may, my job honored the summons and {$1200.00} was garnished from my paycheck in XXXX XXXX. I just got another garnishment decision being submitted to my bank for a sum of {$520.00}. I called DCI Credit Services , INC ( in North Dakota ) upon receiving this notice. I spoke to someone on the phone requesting the initial decision amount and I was told it was $ XXXX. I am even skeptical of this amount, as I never got any garnishment notice or court decision prior to XXXX. And even if the original amount is correct, how did ( $ XXXX - {$1200.00} ) become {$520.00}. I believe DCI Credit is collecting a debt that has been collected in the past.

XXXX reported to my lender that I have an uncollected debt on my credit report placed there by DCI Credit Services in XXXX North Dakota, regarding a XXXX dollar debt 3 years ago originating at XXXX XXXX. I filed a dispute with XXXX, having no recollection of this debt or any collection attempts. DCI asserted to XXXX that the reported debt was valid and my dispute was closed. Today I spoke to XXXX XXXX clinic. They said I did indeed pay the bill and they recalled it from DCI, however DCI continues to report it as unpaid. I am filing this complaint now to establish that DCI is a negligent and irresponsible company who should not be allowed to meddle with people 's credit report. Attached is a screenshot of my credit report showing DCI continually reporting a debt that was paid years ago.

I have asked DCI Credit Services to validate a collection they are reporting on my credit reports on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and they have failed to provide anything that would support the fact that they are attempting to collect interest on a debt without an agreement or contract. Nor have they supplied anything other than a statement on one of the collections. I told them that I would be reporting them to you but they obviously do n't fear you because they failed to delete themselves or answer questions about the debt ( s ) that they are using to damage me financially. Its damaging my credit and it is important to me.

Also it has been on my credit report since XX/XX/2023 but they are trying to change the amount now and already threatened to sue me about the past amount which is changed now so how is that legal? You put something that is false on my credit report to hinder me? Thats legal?? I dont think so. I will taking action and need my credit report cleared up from this nonsense. I pulled my credit XX/XX/XXXX and seen that there was a collection placed in XX/XX/XXXX for a medical debt in the amount of {$770.00} from XXXX that I am unaware of. I have disputed it several times, XX/XX/XXXX and again in XX/XX/XXXX asking to verify that this account is in face mine or delete this as it is holding my credit at a stand still and I have received nothing from anyone. I looked the company up and they do n't seem to be able to collect in the state of Idaho which I currently live in and have the past 2.5 years and they may be in violation of my HIPAA rights by having access to this account which may be why I have received nothing.

My husband had a medical bill and I thought it was paid when we sold our home with the closing costs. DCI of North Dakota hired an attorney and they cleared out my whole bank account yesterday. I tried to speak with them but she would not listen to me. She told me it was my problem not hers. I drive 500 miles a week for work and that was the living money they took. Now we do not have a dime to our names. She was very rude and I do not know what to do. I am to the point of selling everything we have to get to the next payday since my husband is laid off and we do not know if he will get unemployment yet.
