I received a letter from this debt collector on services never rendered to me. If you are asking that I pay a debt that somebody else is or was required to pay, identify that person. Provide verification and documentation about why this is a debt that I am required to pay. This is in violation of the section 146.002 of Texas law that states that, the health care service provider may not recover from any other individual who, because of a family or other personal relationship with the patient, would otherwise be responsible for the debt. You are also in violation of No Surprise Act ( SB 1264 ). Provide me dates and services rendered. I am not aware and did not have the services provided. I am requesting that, you allow me to validate the alleged debt. I am unaware of these debts and need you to provide a breakdown of all the bills. Additionally, I am allowed under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ( HIPAA ) to protect my privacy and medical records from third parties. I do not recall giving permission nor have services performed by the company listed to release my medical information to a third party. I am aware that the HIPAA does allow for limited information about me but anything more is to only be revealed with the patients authorization. Therefore, my request is twofoldvalidation of debt and HIPAA authorization. Please provide breakdown of fees including any collection costs and medical charges. Provide a copy of my signature with the provider of service to release my medical information to you. Cease any credit bureau reporting until the debt has been validated by me. Please note that withholding the information you received from any medical provider in an attempt to be HIPAA compliant can be a violation of the FDCPA because you will be deceiving me after my written request. I request full documentation of what you received from the provider of service in connection with this alleged debt.If you are contacting me from a place outside my state, does your firm have a debt collection license from that place? If so, provide the date of the license, the name on the license, the license number, and the name, address and telephone number of the state agency issuing the license. Engaging in debt collection without filing a bond with the Texas secretary of state is a violation of Chapter 392 and may also be a criminal offense. Tex.Fin. Code 392.402. Additionally, any reporting of this debt to the credit bureaus prior to allowing me to validate it, may be a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which can allow me to seek damages from a collection agent. I will await your reply with above requested proof. Upon receiving it, I will correspond back by certified mail.

D.S. Erickson has been coming after me for old medical debt that XXXX claims we owe but neither D.S. Erickson nor XXXX has been able to provide me full accurate records. Some records I received and disputed with XXXX but they wouldn't do anything about it and so back and forth it goes. D.S. Erickson has told me that I could pay and STILL dispute after the fact. I don't trust this but I have paid them thousands of dollars because they took us to court during quarantine and I had no idea what to do so some of the money I paid willingly but some they took right out of our checking account and we occurred more fees for this! I have repeatedly asked for a statement from the debt collector ( DS Erickson ) to show what I owed vs. what I paid and what they claim I still owe. I was told they don't do anything like that. I don't know when this is going to end and I keep receiving conflicting information. I disputed everything and the judge gave me until XX/XX/XXXX to take care of either further disputes or get an attorney ( which I looked into and that is VERY expensive related to the supposed debt ) - but now I've received a letter in the mail saying there's a court date on XX/XX/XXXX. For what? I am so overwhelmed. Can you help me? ASAP?

I received a letter from DS Erickson, an attorney, on XX/XX/XXXX, alleging that I owe a medical debt from XXXX XXXX of {$1300.00}. I have also received notice of the same amount from two other credit collection services, also alleging the same debt. I filed complaints with CFPB for these also. The debt is allegedly from services never received from the XXXX XXXX in Arizona. I completed my medical care with XXXX in XXXX, and received a XXXX XXXX XXXX that was fully paid by XXXX XXXX as XXXX. I was told there would be no charge to me for the quarterly monitoring of this device. I began receiving bills for monitoring of the device last year : apparently the XXXX device calls XXXX XXXX without me knowing and send them information about my device. I have not gone to XXXX clinic, nor did I call them to monitor the device. This device calls on its own, and then XXXX sends me a bill each time the device calls them for over {$450.00} for each call. I have no ability to stop these calls and I did not authorize them to call or for any services. Again, when XXXX installed the device they promised me that all future monitoring would not be charged to me since this device was implanted at no charge to me as charity.

The statute of limitations for Wisconsin is 6 years. This debt was from 2012 and was closed and taken off my credit report. Recently received court papers stating wage garnishment. Was not even notified by certified mail of a judgement against me. Nevertheless, the statute of limitations has expired.

This company was aggressive about collecting debt, but then would not provide details on an agreed upon payment plan. Eventually I saved enough to pay the debt in full and they charged the full amount of the debt twice.
