Hi- Thank you for your assistance. I received noticed from XXXX XXXX, Manager DBF Collection Corp XXXX that I was a guarantor of a lease in which the tenant had not paid her rent and was found in court to owe money to the landlord. I requested a copy of the lease which was " partially '' sent over. I say partially because this lease was an E signed lease through a program similar to Docusign. These online leases typically have an additional page which details the the email address and other things related to confirming who signed the lease. I requested the full copy of the lease from XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, who works for the property management company XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. If they were unable to provide the full copy, I asked them for proof as to which email address the lease was sent to in order for it to be signed. I requested from XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX this remaining page/email address which they have refused to send over. I ask for this page because ( a ) It is part of the lease ( b ) I confirmed in my email box on the date and time the lease was signed ( signature line is marked with a date and time ), I never received such email to sign to the lease ( c ) I noticed that the IP address under both tenant 's and guarantors section was identical. Meaning that the tenant was the likely one to have created a fake email address and signed it. From what I read online, the debt collector is obligated in this situation to provide the full lease and refuses to do so. Furthermore, no court has found me nor the guarantor on the lease responsible for paying this debt. I have never been taken to court on this matter. Also should be noted the guarantor section asks for a notary and to document isn't notarized. I politely request to have this debt removed and XXXX XXXX and his client sanctioned.

In XXXX I was renting an apt from XXXX management. This was during the pandemic and the rental company agreed to let me out of the lease and not have to pay back the 3 months rent that I owed. They told me I have to make a payment of XXXX and we would be " settled ''. Unfortunately, I am not an attorney or have an experience with this and we did this all by phone. On XX/XX/XXXX DBF collections represented by XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX # XXXX, contacted me and told me I owe the landlord XXXX. I explained my side of the story to them, they told me they would not take any action until the situation was confirmed and resolved. This was false as they reported my alleged debt to a credit reporting agency. I asked for a court order proving that I owe money and was told they do not need one. I attempted many different times to resolve the debt and was told that its not on DBF, that the landlord does not want to resolve it on my terms.

I received a collection letter from D.B.F. Collection Corp on XX/XX/2021. I responded XX/XX/2021 with a certified letter disputing the debt and requesting D.B.F. Collection Corp verify the debt. In that letter I also requested they do not report to credit agencies as the debt was being disputed, and if reported to credit agencies to contact those agencies to notify them that the debt is being disputed. I still have not received verification of this debt from D.B.F. Collection Corp and the collection debt still appears on my XXXX credit report without being marked as disputed.

XXXX membership canceled due to breach of contract. All supporting documents sent to attorney representing XXXX. Collection agency deleted first dispute, and resubmitted another dispute for the same issue/amount. Dispute currently under investigation by XXXX, XXXX. My credit was in good standing for 20 years until DBF Collection agency dispute. I have recently been denied credit which otherwise would have been approved.

I am complaining cause DBF collect is reporting a collection on my credit report on behalf of XXXX XXXX. This was a result of someone stealing my identity I have filed a police report with my local police department. I tried to contact DBF collect but to no avail been able to resolve this matter. I am attaching a copy of my police report
